Summary
Synopsis:
At twenty years old, Su Yin successfully confessed his feelings to Pei Weixue. Before they could even go on their first date, he woke up to find himself transported six years into the future.
In this future, he and Pei Weixue are already married, but their relationship is on the brink of collapse. Pei Weixue is as cold as ice, and Su Yin has apparently been clamoring for a divorce.
“Xue’er?” Su Yin looked at the indifferent Pei Weixue walking through the door, unable to believe his eyes. “You’re still so good-looking, even though you’ve aged?”
Pei Weixue tossed his briefcase aside, strode over, and grabbed Su Yin by the throat. “Su Yin, you want a divorce? I’ll grant it. Mom’s health is so poor—how dare you provoke her like that!” Looking at the suffocating Su Yin, he threw a prepared divorce agreement at him. “Sign it.”
Su Yin was stunned. No way. He had just confessed his love! He woke up to find they were married, but before he could even celebrate, he was getting divorced?
“Xue’er, there must be a misunderstanding. How could my mom be in poor health? She’s incredibly fit.” The little old lady dances in the square every day; how could she be unwell?
Later, Su Yin discovered that his personality had drastically changed over the years. He had spent every day fighting with Pei Weixue for a divorce, and his mother had indeed fallen ill several times from worrying about them.
How was this possible?
He loved Pei Weixue so much; how could he ever demand a divorce? Was it possible his twenty-six-year-old self truly stopped loving him?
Su Yin didn’t notice that when Pei Weixue threw down the divorce papers, his eyes were filled with tension. When Su Yin refused to sign, Pei Weixue’s tightly pursed lips relaxed slightly.
In terms of misery, Su Yin felt no one had it worse. He had just successfully chased his boyfriend, only to time-travel and find himself in a “Crematorium” scenario where he had to chase his love all over again. What a mess!
He hadn’t done a single bad thing and loved Pei Weixue 100%. Yet, Pei Weixue claimed that after marriage, Su Yin had been emotionally unfaithful, chased after someone else, and treated Pei Weixue with nothing but insults and contempt. He was told he had even defied his beloved mother and wasted his reputation as a “genius designer” to work for free at someone else’s company—becoming the laughingstock “simp” of Dongcheng.
His childhood best friend cursed him: “You stole your brother’s girl—disloyal! You made your mother sick—unfilial! You cheated in your marriage—unfaithful!”
The sky was falling.
Su Yin wailed to the heavens: What on earth is going on?! How did I suddenly become an unfaithful, unfilial, and disloyal person? Who the hell possessed my body?!
