A Female Lead Wants a Lifelong Union With Me (Quick Transmigration) - Chapter 6
An He realized she had been dreaming quite frequently over the past two days. Whenever she started to nod off, a dream would unfailingly begin.
Worse yet, she kept dreaming of Lin Ruoxue. And even worse, the Lin Ruoxue in her dreams was always smiling at her.
She looked incredibly gentle, her eyes seemingly brimming with honey, making An He unable to help blushing whenever she saw her.
“Stop running, all right?” she heard Lin Ruoxue ask in the dream. Her voice was light, and her ink-black hair was caught by the wind and blown against An He’s ear, tickling her intensely.
“All right.” An He didn’t dare look into her eyes, so she lowered her head to stare at the ground.
“I like you so, so much. I like you so much I’m going crazy…” Lin Ruoxue continued, her willow-leaf brows furrowing slightly, her brow-tips steeped in sorrow.
“So, could you like me back just a little? Not a lot, just a tiny bit… just a tiny bit and I’ll be satisfied.”
“Mhm.” Hearing her say this, An He couldn’t help but nod gently.
She stood there in silence for a moment before finally gathering the courage to look up into Lin Ruoxue’s eyes. She saw stars in them—twinkling, shimmering, and breathtakingly beautiful.
An He’s heart fluttered—so much so that she wanted to kiss her.
Coincidentally, it was at this moment that Lin Ruoxue reached out to pull her into an embrace, her lips curling into a beautiful smile.
Such a fine moment shouldn’t be wasted; one ought to kiss those thin lips and have a good taste of their flavor.
And Lin Ruoxue… actually did exactly that. Under An He’s gaze, she gradually leaned in, carrying with her a wealth of tenderness and adoration, a wealth of obsession and devotion.
Just as their lips were about to touch, An He suddenly bolted upright in bed.
She was awake!
Heavens, heavens, she was finally awake!
An He let out a long sigh of relief. Sitting in the darkness, she patted her chest, her face still full of lingering fear.
Regarding that dream just now, An He thought it was simply terrifying. She couldn’t believe she was the one having it. Why on earth was she dreaming about such things for no reason? She clearly hadn’t been thinking nonsense during the day—
Before the thought could finish, she suddenly heard a soft pop in her mind.
An He: ???
How… how was it that even though she was awake, the dream was still playing out?
In her mind, the two of them were already kissing, stuck together like glue for a long time. An He sat on the bed looking utterly dazed, waiting with great difficulty for them to finish kissing, only to glimpse a bed suddenly appearing from a corner.
This bed was quite “perceptive”—it was massive, large enough for three or four people to roll around on.
The dream-version of herself and Lin Ruoxue looked at each other and smiled. Hand in hand, they slowly walked toward that large bed.
“Stop, stop, stop!” An He was frightened by the scene before her. she let out a low growl and punched the wall.
She didn’t hold back; the wall let out a loud thud, and the vibration caused several layers of plaster to flake off.
Not only that, but before the dust could even settle, a scream suddenly erupted from the room next door.
It sounded as if it were right in her ear, as if there was only a single thin wall separating them.
Before An He could react, a series of noises immediately followed from the other side.
Clatter, crash, jingle, bang, bang, bang…
A chaotic mess of sounds, like a huge pile of things had fallen over and were all scrambling to hit the floor at once.
An He: “…”
“Going to take a look?” the System’s voice rang out in her head, followed by a spiraling little yawn. “Maybe the person next door is up to some ‘ghostly’ business.”
“Let’s go.” An He replied. She snatched her clothes from the bedpost, draped them over her shoulders, tucked her peach wood sword into her belt, and headed out.
By now, the dream in her head had stopped. The image had frozen exactly one second before Lin Ruoxue was about to take off her clothes.
An He sighed, shaking her head to drive the image away, and pushed open the door to the next room.
The ghost next door seemed to have sensed her coming; she was huddled entirely under the covers, with only her backside sticking out.
“I was wrong, I was wrong…” Before An He could even speak, the ghost began apologizing quite conscientiously, her body shaking like a sieve.
“Come out and talk.” An He pulled over a long bench and sat across from her, threatening her in a low voice.
“No, no, no, no…” Hearing her, the ghost in the quilt shook even harder. At the same time, she tried even more desperately to burrow deeper inside, looking exactly like a gopher trying to dig a hole with its butt in the air.
“Where else can you hide?!” An He stopped humoring her. She flipped her peach wood sword around and gave the ghost’s backside a sharp smack with the hilt.
“Ow!” The ghost let out a wretched shriek. She stayed huddled under the quilt, not daring to move, though she continued to shake.
“Seriously.” An He was speechless at this reaction. She couldn’t help but stand up to yank the quilt away, her tone impatient. “You’re a ghost, why are you afraid of me? If anyone should be afraid, it’s me—”
Before she could finish, the quilt was torn away, and a massive pile of papers flew out, plastering her face like a “Heavenly Maiden scattering flowers.”
An He: “…”
By reflex, she reached out and caught one of the pages, intending to see what was on it.
“Don’t!” The ghost on the bed saw her holding the papers and reached out recklessly to stop her, looking extremely agitated.
An He dodged, not letting her grab her, and lifted her eyes to look at the ghost’s face.
She saw that this ghost had incredibly heavy dark circles under her eyes, and her face was deathly pale, as if she hadn’t slept for centuries. There was ink smeared on the corners of her mouth, making her look like a calico cat.
A… writer?
The corners of An He’s mouth twitched. She felt a surge of intense curiosity regarding the content on the page.
“Let’s see here… what did you write on this paper?” An He said, holding the paper up to her eyes and beginning to read. “It was a quiet night… uh, filled with pas… passion?!”
Wait a minute. Looking at this opening, it seemed to be a piece of erotica.
Tsk, this ghost is quite open-minded.
“Ah! Great Immortal! Have some mercy and stop reading, okay!” The ghost, who had rolled from the bed onto the floor, covered her face, dying of embarrassment. “I just wrote that for fun, don’t be angry, don’t take it seriously!”
“Look at what you’re saying.” An He glanced at her, a bit confused. “Even if you wrote something unspeakable, I wouldn’t bother being angry with—”
Before she could finish the sentence, she suddenly saw her own name and Lin Ruoxue’s name on the paper.
Lin Ruoxue kissed her lips.
Lin Ruoxue gently removed her clothes.
Lin Ruoxue pressed her body onto the bed.
…
Ren Xixi said: “Come on.”
Come on, your sister!
