A Straight Woman Forcefully Claims The Little White Flower Heroine

Synopsis:

The instant Lu Chenyu, a warrior who fought zombies in the apocalypse, was bound to a system, she had only just shouted—

The cheat ability the world owed me is finally here!

When the system promptly threw her into a room with a somewhat strange atmosphere.

She braced a hand down, and the soft sensation beneath her made her think she had touched something on a zombie that absolutely should not be touched. She nearly screamed—only for a muffled whimper to come from beneath her.

Looking down, she saw a woman with watery, autumn-like eyes clutching a utility knife in her hand, glaring at her with the determination to die rather than submit.

System: “Welcome to Rose Bones! As the strongest and most mysterious villainous big shot in this novel, your current mission is—”

“Pin down the heroine, Qin Wei! Coerce her! Disrupt her life and worsen the relationship between her and her lover. Then, after the heroine fakes her death to escape, reunites with her lover, and takes revenge on you, you must die in tears, thereby achieving the ‘deeply satisfying’ ending!”

Lu Chenyu broke down. “…Do you know how to write the ‘straight’ in ‘straight woman’?”

“What I wanted was a cheat ability! Who the hell gets a cheat ability for doing this?!”

The system crashed. “A straight woman can’t do this mission?! Then I’ll send you back—”

Lu Chenyu looked at the utility knife in front of her, which posed basically no threat, then remembered the pack of utterly deranged zombies back in the apocalypse. Gritting her teeth, she said, “I… can do it.”

Wasn’t it just pinning down one heroine? Back in the apocalypse, she had stabbed every kind of human and nonhuman thing imaginable. How hard could it be to pin down one normal person?!

2. At her engagement banquet, Qin Wei once again saw the woman who had tried to force a kiss on her—Lu Chenyu.

The scar from the utility knife still remained on Lu Chenyu’s face. Without the slightest change in expression, she walked straight toward Qin Wei in front of her lover, lightly brushing her fingertips over the scar on her face as she said darkly, “I really liked the gift Miss Qin gave me.”

“Courtesy demands reciprocity, so I’ve also prepared a gift for Miss Qin.”

Qin Wei took half a step back, not daring to accept the gift box in Lu Chenyu’s hand.

Lu Chenyu looked toward her lover, while one of Lu Chenyu’s subordinates forcibly shoved the gift box into her lover’s hands.

“I heard the Jingwei Group has run into some trouble. It’s merely a gesture of goodwill. President Zhou, please accept it,” her subordinate said to Qin Wei’s lover, Zhou Jing, while Lu Chenyu’s gaze never once left Qin Wei.

That night, Qin Wei woke in a wave of burning heat. She reached for the glass of water on the nightstand and drank, only to hear Lu Chenyu’s voice ring out from the darkness.

“Miss Qin, congratulations on your engagement.”

Qin Wei felt beside her and immediately went cold to the bone.

Her lover was not there.

“Kiss me.”

“You know what Zhou Jing accepted.”

Lu Chenyu died.

Lu Chenyu herself was actually extremely happy about it. Keeping a pained expression on her face, she held the utility knife the heroine had once used to injure her and forcibly stuffed it into her hand.

“Darling, congratulations. You’ve defeated the unforgivably wicked me.”

“Everything belonging to the Lu family is yours now. But remember—when you use a knife, make sure you aim properly before striking.”

Zhou Jing isn’t a good person either! Heroine, don’t let her off!

And then she died.

As a reward from the system, she was given a new identity. It wasn’t particularly prestigious, but at least she had plenty of money, and her life was far better than it had ever been when she was fighting zombies.

But why had the little white flower heroine come looking for her?!

“Kiss me, or I’ll destroy your farm.”

Lu Chenyu: “…This is one of the Lu family’s largest farms. What a waste it would be to destroy it.”

“The Lu family belongs to me now.”

“And so do you.”

Reading Guide:

1. All place names and cities are completely made up, and every setting exists to serve the characterization. Don’t expect much logic. Morality? I ate it. There are no supernatural abilities involved, though I guess it might count as some kind of magical urban fantasy?)
2. This is writing practice. I guarantee absolutely nothing, so enter with caution.
3. They’re switches. It should be dual POV. Neither character is perfect, neither is what you’d call conventionally normal, this isn’t a wish-fulfillment story, and it’s a slow-burn melodrama. Contains some niche kinks. If they’re not your thing, please don’t flame me, I’m begging you.
4. Personally, I think gentleness comes with second thoughts and hesitation. It can be frustrating, but I still want to write it that way. If it makes you uncomfortable, then let’s part on good terms and meet again in my next novel! Wishing everyone happiness every day!
