A Three Thousand Realms (GL) - Chapter 2
“Sister……”
Tian Yue suddenly opened her eyes, her head throbbing with pain. This feeling was both unfamiliar and familiar — it was the same sensation she had a thousand years ago after losing Guo’er, when she would hold the peach blossom wine her sister had personally brewed and drink madly day after day. The feeling of being alive……
Am I still alive?
“Sister, don’t…… wuu wuu wuu……”
Another soft, whimpering cry completely interrupted Tian Yue’s thoughts. She turned her head and saw a girl who looked no more than seventeen or eighteen years old, curled up on the bed while hugging the quilt, sobbing pitifully as if trapped in a nightmare. Her brows were tightly furrowed, and a few glistening teardrops hung at the corners of her eyes, about to fall but not quite……
Pitiful and adorable.
An inexplicable sense of familiarity pulled her toward this little girl. She reached out and brushed aside a few strands of messy red hair that had fallen across the girl’s cheek, revealing an overly gorgeous and now tear-streaked makeup that looked completely out of place.
Tian Yue frowned, enduring the headache as she thought for a moment. She finally recalled her current identity — Nora Stuart, the youngest daughter most beloved by the Queen and Queen Consort of the Stuart Kingdom, the ninth in line to the imperial throne, Her Highness Princess Nora.
A high-born female alpha?
Soul transmigration? Rebirth?
Whatever. Since she was already here, she might as well settle down. As long as she could be with Guo’er, she would ask for nothing more.
She pulled off the messy brown-red wig covering the girl’s head, revealing the originally soft and smooth platinum-blonde long hair that was now slightly disheveled. She gently placed a kiss on the girl’s eyelids and cooed softly:
“Guo’er, don’t be afraid. It’s Sister……”
The girl shrank slightly in her sleep, but her brows relaxed. She hugged the soft quilt tighter and sank back into deep slumber.
Tian Yue opened her light brain. As expected, countless messages flooded in. With a ding, one came directly from Her Majesty the Queen:
Nora, once you’re awake, get your ass to the conference hall!
Tian Yue turned off the light brain, quickly went to the bathroom to clean her body, changed into a sharp air force uniform, then walked to the bedside and kissed the girl on the forehead before leaving the room.
“Nora, you disappoint me so much!”
The moment she stepped through the door, she was greeted by a female omega with striking reddish-brown hair. The woman was using all her strength to slap Nora across the face. However, Tian Yue was no longer the original Princess Nora — that foolish alpha who had misplaced her feelings. She grabbed the woman’s wrist, flung it away, and pushed her straight into the arms of the male alpha who had rushed over to stop the scene.
“Nora, you should be gentler with omegas……” said Prince Daniel, the first in line to the imperial throne, known for his gentle and modest demeanor. While softly massaging his fiancée Helen’s wrist, he gently scolded.
“Nora, you……” Helen looked incredulous that Nora would treat her this way. She leaned against Daniel’s chest with a deeply wounded expression.
Tian Yue ignored her completely. She only bowed to the Queen and said:
“Mother, last night I……”
The Queen, who had witnessed everything, frowned and interrupted her daughter without allowing any argument:
“Nora, you’re not young anymore. It’s time for you to start a family.”
“Yes, Mother.”
Seemingly surprised that her daughter was so obedient, the Queen opened her mouth but swallowed the long-prepared lecture she had rehearsed countless times. She nodded and said:
“In that case, you must treat Olivia well. After all, she has only just come of age… she’s still young……”
“Mother, rest assured. I will treat her well, cherish her, and love her.” Tian Yue promised. In her heart, however, she felt a little impatient. My Guo’er — of course I will pamper and love her properly.
“If Mother has nothing else, I will take my leave. Oli still needs my company.”
An omega’s heat would last three days. Last night had been Olivia’s first heat, and unexpectedly it had been taken by her own youngest daughter……
Thinking of this, the Queen nodded and instructed:
“Go then. Remember to be…… gentle.” Even though she felt deep pity for the little girl who had just come of age and had been thoroughly eaten clean by her usually not-so-gentle daughter, the Queen could not bring herself to say anything more.
Tian Yue nodded and left the conference hall. From beginning to end, she never looked at Helen — her future sister-in-law — again.
Everything went so smoothly that it was beyond Helen’s expectations. The fiancée of the empire’s new crown prince couldn’t quite describe what she was feeling. Instead of the expected sense of relief after everything was settled, she only felt empty and hollow.
“Daniel, go personally and invite General Mondell to the palace to discuss Nora and Oli’s marriage,” the Queen ordered.
“Yes, Mother.” Prince Daniel tugged at the skirt of his still-dazed fiancée and withdrew with her after paying their respects.
The Queen rubbed her temples, watching the back of General Mondell’s eldest daughter. She felt an intense headache. She really didn’t know what was so good about this girl that she had managed to make her two most beloved children lose their minds over her.
Fortunately, Nora seemed to have grown up a lot overnight and become much more sensible.
Perhaps Olivia, that adorable little girl, had won her youngest daughter’s heart after just one night.
After all, she really was a beautiful, innocent child who made people unable to resist wanting to pamper and love her……
