A Tsundere Beauty Omega is Stubborn but Sweet - Chapter 3
Early the next morning, Zhou Muxian was jolted awake by an alarm, followed immediately by Father Yu knocking on the door: “Xian’er, time to get up! Dad’s having the driver take you to school.”
School?
Zhou Muxian slapped her forehead in resignation. How could she have forgotten? The original owner was only twenty, a junior at a local university with only two months left before her internship started.
Coincidentally, they shared the same major: Sculpture.
The difference was that the real-world, twenty-five-year-old Zhou Muxian had graduated years ago and had been working at a design firm for some time.
University life was a distant memory. Now, she had to play the role of a “good girl,” go to class, and call the twenty-year-old Yu You “Sister.” It was a truly helpless situation.
Despite her inner monologue, the moment she opened her door and saw Yu You passing by with a water glass, she called out without hesitation: “Sister~ Good morning~”
Yu You ignored her completely, walking straight past as the faint, lingering scent of daisies dissipated in her wake.
Zhou Muxian sniffed the air, confused. After high school, Yu You had spent two years at an art college abroad. Since returning, she lived for her painting, occasionally self-funding exhibitions. She was the definition of leisure.
Why on earth was she up at 6:30 AM to rush out like she had a class to catch?
It was highly suspicious.
When Zhou Muxian went downstairs, she noticed the two portions of breakfast on the table were untouched.
Yu You was already fully “done up.” Her long, curly hair draped over her shoulders in a look that was both lazy and vintage. She had been stunning yesterday with a bare face, but today she wore full makeup, looking even more enchanting and soulful.
Despite the formal, high-maintenance makeup, her outfit was cozy and intimate: a loose V-neck black sweater paired with a vintage red velvet maxi skirt.
Her slender collarbones were on full display, and a thin silver necklace hung around her throat. Every time she tilted her head, the pendant swayed within the open neckline, making it impossible to look away—inviting the eye to wander deeper.
The girl’s intent to seduce was far too obvious; it was practically written on her face.
As Zhou Muxian ate her fried egg, she watched Yu You practicing her smile in a small mirror and couldn’t help but snort with laughter.
Yu You instantly shot her a lethal glare, trying to muster an intimidating aura to suppress the teasing. However, the upward flick of her eyeliner only added a touch of charm, and her fluttering lashes made her look slightly aggrieved.
The way one side of her mouth curled up was almost bubbly and cute, and the slightly heavy blush on her cheeks looked more like a “tsundere” flush after being embarrassed.
She looked exactly like a cute cat that thought itself very noble.
Zhou Muxian lowered her head and took a sip of soy milk without a word, but her brow furrowed. She guessed that Yu You was going to see the story’s big villain.
The villain was a mysterious investor famous in the film and television industry. Most people didn’t know her real name or identity; they only knew her by a world-renowned, albeit “chunibyo” (edgy) title:
The Incense-Burning Princess.
Zhou Muxian wanted to laugh every time she thought about people having to address her as “Princess” with a straight face.
Creak—
Yu You pushed the door open and left excitedly, leaving Zhou Muxian alone in the living room. Finishing her soy milk, she followed immediately.
She told the driver to follow Yu You’s car all the way to the Spring Sakura Cafe on Fachun Road.
It was mid-January—early cherry blossom season. The cafe was enveloped, inside and out, in the romantic pink of blossoming trees.
By the floor-to-ceiling window on the second floor, Yu You’s figure—laughing behind her hand—looked like someone deeply in love.
In the original book, the Princess had set her hook in Yu You back when she first went abroad. Back then, Yu You was alone in a foreign land, often feeling lonely and helpless.
It was the Princess’s “big sisterly” care and meticulously staged “accidental” encounters that caused Yu You to develop feelings for her.
Then, at the height of Yu You’s infatuation, the Princess vanished, ignoring every message.
That agonizing longing, the confusion, and the heartbreak had kept Yu You awake for countless nights. Despite the pain, she had no choice but to endure it until she slowly began to let go.
Who would have thought that after returning home, the first person she “happened” to run into was the Princess?
Ignoring whether the encounter was a scheme, Yu You dove right back into the sweet bubbles provided by the other woman, letting her emotions be toyed with once again.
The Princess had used this exact method on the original Zhou Muxian as well. It worked every time.
They were just twenty-year-old girls with no experience in love or the tactics of a scumbag. It was only natural they’d be blinded by these “sweet bubbles.”
Zhou Muxian got out of the car and entered the cafe.
As she reached the stairs, the voices of the Princess and Yu You became clear. Yu You’s joyous laughter rang through the second floor; realizing she was being too loud, she lowered her voice.
“Really?”
“Of course it’s true, Little Youyou. When have I ever lied to you? To be honest, I’m still savoring that dream from last night. It was so wonderful. Meeting you is truly my good fortune.”
“Hehe, to tell you the truth, I’ve dreamed about you too.”
Zhou Muxian stepped onto the final stair. Looking toward the source of the laughter, she instinctively let out a cold, sharp aura. Her powerful presence was like thousands of arrows fired at once, piercing through the back of the Princess, who sat with her back turned.
The Princess shuddered, like a beast sensing danger, and whipped around. Immediately, a heavy, smoky scent of burning charcoal filled the air.
It was the Princess’s Alpha pheromones.
Zhou Muxian’s lips curled in disdain. Pathetic. Can’t even control your own pheromones.
She strode forward and sat down naturally beside Yu You, then pulled a small freshener from her pocket that could neutralize minor pheromones.
Yu You, who had been breathing a bit heavily, felt much better, though she still looked dazed, as if she hadn’t quite processed the situation.
Naturally, she didn’t notice that Zhou Muxian and the Princess were currently locked in a silent, murderous stare-down.
The Princess’s heart raced for reasons she couldn’t explain. Such a powerful aura filled her with both displeasure and fear.
If she hadn’t personally seen Zhou Muxian in heat before and helped her with a temporary mark, the Princess would never have believed the person before her was the same obedient little Omega she once controlled.
“Incense-Burning Princess…”
Zhou Muxian squeezed out a look of fury and said resentfully: “That’s not what you said a few days ago when you were touching and kissing me! You said you only loved me! Why have you changed your heart!”
Both the Princess and Yu You were thunderstruck.
The Princess never expected her usually obedient pawn to openly sabotage her plans.
Yu You never expected that the person she hated most was actually involved with the person she liked most.
The air froze. Yu You’s eyes instantly filled with tears. She spoke in a small, wounded voice: “Explain. Explain right now. I’m listening!”
The Princess glanced at Zhou Muxian, who was still staring her down aggressively. She didn’t dare explain to Yu You, fearing that an angry Zhou Muxian would blurt out something even more scandalous.
Seeing the Princess’s silence, Yu You’s heart shattered into a million pieces. She stood up abruptly and bolted for the stairs. She intentionally slowed down while descending, but when no one came after her, her footsteps grew louder and more frantic.
Once the sound of footsteps died away, the Princess’s expression shifted from embarrassment to cold arrogance. She looked down at Zhou Muxian, her voice hard as ice.
“Zhou. Mu. Xian. Do you have any idea how much trouble you just caused me? I told you, I have my necessary plans. You only need to do as I say. You can’t, and shouldn’t, interfere with anything else.”
If she broke things off with the Princess now, the woman would simply focus all her efforts back on Yu You. That little fool Yu You couldn’t handle the Princess’s tricks; she’d be caught every time.
Thinking of this, Zhou Muxian reined in her anger and put on an innocent, aggrieved face.
“I’m jealous.”
The Princess sneered, leaning forward to flick Zhou Muxian’s nose: “Is the little one jealous? I was just acting with her.”
Zhou Muxian turned her face away, muttering: “I don’t believe you.”
The Princess was fuming inside but forced herself into a coaxing posture: “What should I do if the little one is angry? Do I need to go buy you a lollipop?”
“No.”
“Then what do you want? Or… do you want a kiss from me?” The Princess smiled knowingly and leaned in to kiss her.
Admittedly, the Princess had a mature, classical beauty—she looked like a Royal Princess from a historical drama. It was a shame such a beautiful shell housed such a filthy heart.
Zhou Muxian pushed her away, stood up with a feigned huff, and threw down a stubborn remark: “I don’t want it! I just want you to never talk to Yu You again. If I catch you even once, I’ll make a scene!”
“Little one…”
The Princess tried to use her silver tongue to force Zhou Muxian back into line, but Zhou Muxian turned and ran down the stairs without a word, charging out of the cafe and back to the car.
Noticing the driver’s strange expression, Zhou Muxian looked back. Yu You was in the backseat, eyes wide, biting her lip hard to hold back her tears.
“Are we going home?” the driver asked cautiously.
After a long silence, Zhou Muxian suddenly spoke: “To the Civil Affairs Bureau.”
“Huh?” The driver gasped in surprise, but his hands immediately turned the wheel, making a U-turn at the next intersection.
In the backseat, Yu You was so shocked she forgot to be sad. She was full of questions but refused to ask, holding in her curiosity until the car pulled into the parking lot of the Civil Affairs Bureau.
“Get out.”
Zhou Muxian opened the back door and stared at Yu You with a heavy expression.
Yu You’s head was filled with nothing but question marks: “Me??? Get out??? With you??? To the Civil Affairs Bureau???”
“That’s right. Hurry up.” Zhou Muxian urged her seriously, without a hint of a joke on her face.
