Accidentally Picked Up a Rich and Amnesiac Alpha (GL) - Chapter 1
“Huff… huff…” A woman lay on the ground, gasping for breath, and slowly opened her eyes. She had a terrible headache, so intense it felt like her skull was about to split open.
In the distance, several men stood in the shadows of some trees, in front of an elegant, high-end villa complex. They were all peeking at the woman on the ground. A man with a tattooed arm nervously said to a man with a buzz cut, “Boss, she’s… she’s moving. She’s not… not dead.”
The tattooed man still seemed shaken. “I thought my blows really killed her.”
The buzz-cut man shot him an annoyed look. “What are you talking about? She was the one who wasn’t looking where she was going and fell. What does that have to do with us?”
“Yeah, yeah, it has nothing to do with us. It’s her bad luck that she was wearing the same outfit as that person, or we wouldn’t have hit the wrong person.”
Another man chimed in, “No, wait, boss, I think her shirt is a genuine one. The one that other person was wearing was a knockoff.”
“Who cares! Enough with the nonsense! Get in the car, let’s go back! This has nothing to do with us.”
Five or six men swaggered back to a van, which sped away in a flash.
The woman slowly got up from the ground, her mind buzzing and blurry. She felt a sticky substance on her face and wiped it with her hand, only to find a smear of blood.
Her head was bleeding!
The woman jolted, feeling a little clearer. She looked around and saw she was on the road in front of a villa complex. No one and no cars were passing by; there was only the light from a streetlamp.
She looked down at herself and instinctively reached for a pocket. She patted her waist, but after three tries of grabbing nothing but air, she realized there were no pockets on the shirt she was wearing. It was a dark undershirt and a pair of khaki casual pants, both wrinkled as if they had been soaked in water and then dried. She tried the pants pockets this time and found something—a small piece of seaweed.
Another trickle of blood ran down her forehead. The woman used her sleeve to wipe it, her fingers tracing the wound on her head. The blood kept gushing out, quickly soaking the wrinkled sleeve. After a few wipes, however, she suddenly felt dizzy and passed out again, collapsing to the ground with a dull thud.
Screech! The tires of a car shrieked as a minivan screeched to a halt next to her.
A young woman in her twenties rolled down the window and stuck her head out. “Sister Song, there’s someone lying here, covered in blood. Should we call the police?”
“Is she badly injured?”
The bodyguard in the passenger seat, a woman in her late twenties, said, “I’ll go take a look.” She got out of the car, quickly glanced left and right, and then helped the person lying on the roadside sit up.
The streetlamp illuminated the person’s face. Under her messy hair was an overly fair, almost pale, face. She had deep, sculpted features, a superior face shape, and proud eyebrows. Even with blood covering her forehead, the bodyguard and the young woman were stunned by her beauty.
The bodyguard accidentally touched the back of the woman’s neck and quickly used the woman’s hair to cover it. “There’s a scent gland. She must be an Alpha.”
The young woman couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a beautiful Alpha! She’s so gorgeous!”
The other person in the car, wearing a white couture gown, heard the girl’s praise and, while replying to messages on her phone, couldn’t help but spare a glance.
Her gaze passed through the dark car window film and settled on the woman’s exquisite profile.
The woman in the white gown’s eyes instantly fixed, and her pupils lit up. She leaned forward, staring intently at the woman.
The young woman was surprised by Sister Song’s focus. She then thought, This Alpha is so pretty, it’s rare to see someone like her. Even in the entertainment industry, filled with handsome Alphas and beautiful Omegas, this kind of looks are hard to come by.
No wonder Sister Song has to take a second look.
“Help her into the car. We’re going to the hospital.”
The young woman gasped, “Sister Song, but you’re about to go to the awards ceremony.”
Sister Song didn’t hesitate. “The hospital first.”
The bodyguard helped the unconscious woman into the car. The woman called Sister Song reached out to take her, not caring that the blood on her body was staining her white couture gown.
“Sister Song, watch your dress!” the young woman reminded her.
“It’s fine, Xiaole,” Sister Song said, unconcerned about the blood. She reached out and brushed a strand of hair away from the woman’s ear, revealing her proud and elegant profile.
The girl named Xiaole blinked. Is Sister Song lifting her hair to confirm she’s an Alpha?
Xiaole held back an internal scream, almost shouting, Sister Song, you think this Alpha is beautiful too, don’t you? And her temperament is divine!
Even though her eyes were closed, her fair, full forehead, long, dense eyelashes, and high, jade-like nose gave her a bright, sunny feeling. But at the same time, her brows and eyes had a cold, reserved nobility. This temperament was unmatched even in the entertainment industry.
Such a superior appearance, indeed, could even captivate a beauty like Song Tingxue, known as the “Iceberg Movie Queen”—a famously self-disciplined and untouchable celebrity.
Song Tingxue’s hand, however, did not move to investigate the beautiful woman’s Alpha identity as Xiaole had expected. Her fair, slender hand simply lifted the hair by the woman’s ear, her gaze lingering for a moment on the skin below her ear.
Perhaps it was Xiaole’s imagination, but the usually calm and unruffled Movie Queen Song’s eyes seemed to tremble with excitement.
No way, Movie Queen Song is showing that kind of expression?!
Xiaole blinked. When she looked at Movie Queen Song again, she had that same calm expression, as distant and cool as the moon in the sky.
The bodyguard, Lingzi, said, “Sister Song, judging by her appearance, she must have fallen into the water. There’s seaweed in her hair, and her clothes have a salty, sea-like smell. The injury on her head was probably caused by someone hitting her.”
This was a coastal resort area, so it wasn’t uncommon for people to go swimming, surfing, or use private yachts, so someone falling into the water wasn’t surprising.
Xiaole said, “Maybe she accidentally fell into the sea, and then someone beat her up after she got out. She’s really unlucky.”
Movie Queen Song’s brow furrowed, a hint of unease in her eyes. Her hand, which had been loosely resting on the woman’s waist, now held her tightly, pulling her to lean against her shoulder.
Xiaole: “…???” Could Movie Queen Song be captivated by beauty too? She doesn’t even care about her couture gown!
The strange woman’s fingers moved, and she slowly opened her eyes. The bright light hurt her eyes, and at the same time, her nose was filled with the smell of disinfectant.
“Is this… a hospital?”
“Hey, you’re awake?” Xiaole poked her head in, giving the woman on the bed a cheerful smile.
The woman’s bright, black eyes were as enchanting and deep as obsidian. Paired with her beautiful features, the initial confusion in her eyes and her dazed gaze instantly filled the obsidian with a mist—both alluring and imposing. Her face became even more attractive.
What kind of top-tier Alpha is this?!
Xiaole grinned even wider, thinking, Sister Song has great taste! Only an Alpha with this kind of look is worthy of a Grand Slam Movie Queen like Song Tingxue.
“Who are you? What do you want?” The beautiful stranger on the bed sat up, propping herself up with her hands, and stared at Xiaole with a look of caution.
“Don’t be scared, I’m not a bad person. My last name is Le, and I’m a Beta. I won’t eat you.” Xiaole licked her lips. As a Beta, she really couldn’t “eat” an Alpha.
“We saw you passed out on the side of the road and brought you to the hospital.” Xiaole blinked. “What’s your name, beautiful?”
“My name is…” The beautiful stranger was about to say it, but her throat suddenly seemed to get stuck. A moment of surprise flashed across her face, and the words that followed never came out.
She lowered her head, and a lock of shiny black hair, just long enough to reach her shoulders, covered her face with its deep, marble-like features.
Xiaole once again sighed in admiration. She’s a truly beautiful woman! She must have a beautiful name.
The beautiful woman kept her head down, her brows furrowed as if she was thinking very hard.
Xiaole waited patiently. After a while, the woman looked up and said blankly, “I don’t remember.”
Xiaole: “!!!”
In the hallway, a hurried footsteps could be heard. The door opened the next moment, and Song Tingxue, dressed in a blue gown, appeared in the room.
Although not as grand as her previous exquisitely tailored white gown, the flowing, light blue chiffon dress made her look elegant and graceful, like a goddess of the sea.
“Sister Song, is the ceremony over?”
Xiaole was a little surprised at how fast Sister Song had arrived. It felt like only half an hour ago her agent, Ji Yun, had told her, “The event is over, Song Tingxue is rushing to the hospital now.” And now she was here, so fast.
“Mhm.” Song Tingxue replied indifferently and walked step by step to the bed. The long dress swept the floor, creating ripples of light blue fabric behind her.
After sitting down by the bed, Song Tingxue took off her hat, and her wavy long hair cascaded down like silk. She then took off her mask and sunglasses, and slightly looked up at the stranger on the bed.
Their eyes met.
The stranger’s eyes held a moment of awe. Her clear eyes scrutinized the woman called Sister Song. Her skin was as fair as snow, without a single blemish, a kind of cool, luminous white. Her features were flawless, her nose was high, and her lips were tightly pressed, giving her a cold feeling. To be precise, her entire being gave off a cool and distant aura, like snow on a mountaintop.
But the eyes looking at her had none of that coldness. The clear gaze held a hidden current of tenderness.
The stranger stared at those eyes, lost in thought.
Xiaole walked over to Song Tingxue, leaned down, and whispered, “Sister Song, I think she’s a bit simple… she doesn’t even remember her own name.”
Song Tingxue’s brows furrowed. “She doesn’t remember her name?”
“She doesn’t. She has no memory of it at all!”
The woman on the bed watched them whisper, especially the Beta girl, who kept glancing at her.
“Ahem, who are you two?”
The goddess in the blue gown gave her a reassuring look. “You should rest first.” Her voice was clear and pure, like snow, and very pleasant to listen to.
Just as the stranger wanted to hear that voice again, the goddess had already gotten up and left the room with the other girl.
The room fell silent. She was alone again. The woman on the bed thought for a long time, then suddenly frowned in distress and muttered to herself, “Who am I? Who am I, really?”
“Xiaole, I think I’ve made myself clear.”
Xiaole smiled. “You have, Sister Song.”
Song Tingxue nodded. Seeing the bodyguard Lingzi’s gaze, she turned to Xiaole. “Could you go get some drinks? I’m a bit thirsty. I didn’t get a single sip of water during the whole ceremony.”
Xiaole glanced at the two of them, agreed, and left.
Now that no one else was there, Lingzi said, “She first fell into the sea, and the injuries on her body were clearly caused by someone hitting her. There might be more to this. Should we call the police? They might be able to find her family.”
Song Tingxue thought for a moment. “No need. Before we get things straight, don’t call the police. I don’t want anything else to happen to her.”
Lingzi was stunned, surprised by Song Tingxue’s protective attitude toward this stranger. She quickly nodded. “Okay, Sister Song.”
The door to the room opened again, and footsteps sounded. That clear, snow-like voice rang out again, tinged with a smile, spreading in the air.
“Have you remembered? A-Yan, you’re my girlfriend.”
The beautiful woman on the bed’s eyes widened in shock. “I’m… your girlfriend?”
“Don’t you believe me?” The goddess bent down and lifted the woman’s delicate, pale chin with her hand.
The stranger felt the fingertips gently touching her chin were trembling slightly. Just as she was about to ask another question, a cool, fragrant presence pressed against her lips.
A pair of slightly cool lips gently caressed her own. The initial trembling slowly gave way to increasing tenderness, as if they were reunited after a long time apart, and she was being cherished to the utmost.
The stranger inhaled a faint scent. It was a very pleasant fragrance—delicate, cool, subtle, and elegant.
What is that fragrance? The stranger couldn’t remember. But as the goddess’s long eyelashes brushed against her face and the tickle on her cheek crept into her heart, the stranger thought, Maybe she really is my girlfriend, and a girlfriend who loves me very much.
Why else would she kiss me so tenderly?
