Accidentally Picked Up a Rich and Amnesiac Alpha (GL) - Chapter 29
Yan Qingqi prepared breakfast, opting for a vegetable and mixed-grain porridge instead of vegetable salad. Song Tingxue wasn’t a picky eater and ate almost everything except carrots.
It was just after 7 a.m., and the morning sun was bright. Residents of Hidden Mountain were already out for their morning jogs—most were alone, but some were paired up.
Song Tingxue ate the porridge in her bowl. It was creamy, smooth, and fragrant with various vegetables, making for a pleasant texture. A faint sound of footsteps passed by the front door. She looked up toward the window, only catching a glimpse of a woman in workout clothes running past. The sight suddenly reminded her of what Xiaole had told her yesterday.
“A-Yan.”
“Hm?”
A plate of mushrooms and slippery chicken and two small dishes of appetizers were on the table. Yan Qingqi had just served her a piece of chicken. At the sound of her voice, she paused, waiting for Song Tingxue to continue.
Song Tingxue wanted to ask, “Did you go to any of your neighbors’ houses for a visit this afternoon?” But the words caught in her throat. She felt ashamed for her lack of complete trust in Miss Yan.
Ten years ago, at the orphanage, she had witnessed a startling scene.
A person had elaborately dressed up, climbed onto a small stool to wipe a cabinet door, and then pretended to fall, conveniently being caught by Miss Yan, who was standing nearby. The person feigned fear and seized the opportunity to hug Miss Yan tightly, looking utterly pitiful. “Miss Yan, I’m scared.”
The 17-year-old Song Tingxue watched from a distance, her heart heavy and anxious. She gripped the corner of her shirt, standing perfectly still, silently observing Miss Yan’s reaction.
Because Miss Yan visited twice a year, many people at the orphanage knew about her. Not only was Miss Yan beautiful, but her family was also rumored to be incredibly wealthy. She rode in luxury cars and had bodyguards accompanying her everywhere. As a result, many people, especially Omegas, secretly harbored intentions toward her, because Miss Yan was an Alpha.
If they could earn the favor of this Alpha, Miss Yan, they wouldn’t have to worry about their livelihood, and they might even have a chance to marry into a wealthy family.
Because of this, Song Tingxue, also an Omega and very pretty, was often subjected to exclusion, passive-aggressive remarks, and malicious bullying during those years.
Just as the person was about to intimately rub against Miss Yan’s cheek, the Alpha, slightly frowning, turned her head and politely, yet firmly, pushed the person away. “It’s alright. You don’t need to be afraid.” With that, she instructed one of her bodyguards to accompany the person to see a doctor. She also told the head of the orphanage that she would cover the cost of any necessary treatment.
The person was escorted away to see the doctor, their face flushed with embarrassment.
Song Tingxue suddenly felt incredibly happy, utterly delighted. She knew it. The noble, graceful Miss Yan, as pure as a green pine, would never be like that.
“Nothing, I just wanted to ask what you’re having for lunch.”
“Glass noodles with scallops, and a stir-fried beef dish.”
Those two dishes were on today’s private kitchen menu. After delivering the takeout, she would simply eat the leftovers.
“Why don’t you skip cooking lunch? Just order takeout. It’s too much work cooking three meals a day.”
“It’s fine. It’s just cooking. It’s not hard,” Yan Qingqi said with a gentle smile. “Remember, don’t eat anything spicy today, and take your medicine on time.”
Song Tingxue smiled. “I will.”
Just as breakfast ended, Xiaole arrived to pick her up. Song Tingxue was about to leave when she was suddenly pulled back. A sweet kiss was planted on her lips, and the cool scent of cedar wafted over her.
Yan Qingqi said, “No secretly drinking coffee!”
Song Tingxue wrapped her arms around A-Yan’s neck, her bright eyes full of a soft, lively smile, and she proactively kissed Yan Qingqi again. “I won’t.”
It wasn’t until Xiaole’s knocking became more urgent that Song Tingxue lowered her mask, opened the door, and left.
Not long after Song Tingxue left, Yan Qingqi received a call from Jing Michu. “Cousin, I’m heading back to S City today. I’ll let you know when the results come out. Then, we old sisters can celebrate together.”
Yan Qingqi: “…”
The results aren’t even out yet, and Jing Michu is already calling herself an old sister.
“I’m leaving. See you in a few days.”
“Mhm. Goodbye.”
Jing Michu was about to hang up when Yan Qingqi suddenly said, “Wait.”
“What is it?”
“Next time you come, can you bring me something from S City?”
Yan Qingqi went out to deliver her takeout as usual today. Because she had delivered three orders late yesterday, she sent an extra portion of sliced fruit to those three customers as an apology.
The elite Alpha from building 25 said, “Did you have a problem yesterday? You didn’t reply to the messages in the group.”
Yan Qingqi replied, “I’m sorry. Something urgent suddenly came up while I was delivering takeout, and it caused a delay.”
The Alpha from building 25 didn’t press the issue. “It’s fine. Just let us know in the group if you have an emergency in the future.”
Another resident, from building 7, also expressed understanding and thanked Yan Qingqi for the fruit.
However, when she arrived at building 14, the residence of “Just Saying,” Yan Qingqi was thoroughly scolded. “Do you have any sense of time? Something urgent suddenly came up? Who doesn’t have an emergency these days? But it shouldn’t affect your work! Your work ethic is questionable.”
Yan Qingqi reminded herself that she had indeed delivered late yesterday and apologized good-naturedly. “I’m sorry. Something truly unexpected happened yesterday. This sliced fruit is complimentary. My apologies.”
The person glanced at the sliced fruit and curled their lip. “That little bit of fruit is an apology? Forget it. I’m the bigger person. I won’t hold it against you.”
Yan Qingqi thought the matter was over, but that afternoon, she was hit with a complaint in the group chat.
“Just Saying”: [Boss Yan, are you doing this on purpose? Was this stir-fried beef really medium spicy? This is absolutely ridiculously super spicy! My stomach is killing me right now. I think I have gastroenteritis from the spice. Are you going to pay for it?]
Yan Qingqi only replied: [Taste varies from person to person, but it wasn’t overly spicy. I only put in a small amount of chili.] She was immediately buried under a barrage of angry messages from “Just Saying.”
[If it’s extra spicy, call it extra spicy! Don’t call it medium spicy!!]
[With that attitude, you’re running a private kitchen? You closed for two days, and yesterday you delivered so late, without even an apology! And today you cook a dish this spicy! If you don’t want to deliver takeout properly, just shut down!]
[Is it true that any Tom, Dick, or Harry can live in Hidden Mountain Villa now?]
[A single meal is so expensive! Is everyone only concerned with making money? Have you no conscience?]
Yan Qingqi had a good temper, but even she was getting angry. Coincidentally, “Just Saying” also had the surname Jin, which immediately made Yan Qingqi think of the fat Mr. Jin who had pressured Songsong.
[Please choose your words carefully. You can find the dish too spicy, but you cannot attack my attitude. My dishes are clearly priced, and I use good ingredients. I am not making ill-gotten gains.]
“Just Saying”: [So customers aren’t allowed to talk about the shop? I’ll say what I want! Bad attitude is a bad attitude! Garbage is garbage!]
Other customers couldn’t stand it anymore.
[Honestly, Boss Yan’s cooking is really good. Good ingredients, good cooking, very hygienic, and the price is truly not expensive.]
[I think Boss Yan is great. She’s very polite!]
[I also ate the stir-fried beef today. Where was the spice? That’s extra spicy? It wasn’t even medium spicy.]
[@JustSaying, if you can’t handle spice, don’t order spicy dishes. You could have ordered the glass noodles with scallops.]
[I think the glass noodles with scallops are a bit pricey. The taste is good, but the scallops aren’t as big as I expected.]
As soon as that person’s message was posted, “Just Saying” became even more brazen: [See? Expensive is expensive! Your clear pricing doesn’t change the fact that you sell expensive food!]
The elite Alpha from building 25 replied: [If you think it’s expensive, you can choose another takeout. No one is forcing you to buy from Boss Yan.]
Qiao An was furious and called out, [@JustSaying, your attitude is the problem! You’re cursing people out left and right. You’re the Tom, Dick, or Harry in Hidden Mountain Villa. Don’t order from Boss Yan. Go get takeout somewhere else.]
Furious, Qiao An grabbed her phone and called Jing Michu. “Look at the group chat. Someone is deliberately causing trouble and bullying my cousin.”
She looked back at the group chat. “Just Saying” had turned his fury on her. [@XiaoQiao, I’m going to order from Boss Yan’s place, and you can’t tell me otherwise! You dare call me a Tom, Dick, or Harry? Do you know what my husband does?]
Qiao An sneered. [Oh, I’m so scared. What does your husband do? Commander-in-Chief of the Universe?]
Everyone in the group burst out laughing. Yan Qingqi also smiled.
Jing Michu, who had just started paying attention to the group messages, almost choked on her laugh. She actually thought my An An couldn’t talk back?
The group chat was lively that afternoon. After an hour of heated argument, Yan Qingqi finally shut it down with a final message: [@JustSaying, I will no longer accept your pre-orders or serve you as a customer.] She immediately kicked “Just Saying” out of the group.
The group chat finally fell silent.
Yan Qingqi rubbed her temples. She felt a faint headache coming on.
Since opening the private kitchen, she had been waking up early to buy ingredients, cooking around ten portions a day, meticulously preparing and cooking everything. She was also terrified of being late and delivering food that wasn’t hot.
If she factored in her labor, she probably wasn’t making a profit and might even be losing money.
Even so, she still ran into people like “Just Saying.”
Yan Qingqi sighed. She suddenly thought of Songsong. She had promised to take good care of Songsong, but Songsong, with her sensitive stomach, hadn’t even had a single hot lunch during all these days she was busy cooking.
Yan Qingqi once again doubted whether she should continue running the private kitchen.
A moment later, Qiao An knocked on the door, holding two cups of coffee.
Yan Qingqi was a little surprised. “Xiao An, why are you here?”
“I came to check on you, Cousin. Don’t pay attention to people like the one from building 14. I think he just thinks too highly of himself and needs to put everyone down.”
Yan Qingqi said, “It’s fine. I won’t bother with people like that.” She saw that Qiao An was holding coffee from the K-family shop, which was quite far from Hidden Mountain and didn’t deliver. Qiao An must have gone out of her way to buy it.
Yan Qingqi felt a little touched by the future wife of her cousin.
“When are you and Jing Michu planning to get married?” Yan Qingqi pointed to the diamond ring on her finger. “You didn’t have that last week. She must have proposed to you this time she visited.”
Qiao An blushed, nodding happily and shyly. “Yes, she proposed to me this time she came to L City. Last year, Chu Chu’s mother passed away suddenly from a heart attack, and then some other things happened. We even broke up for a while, but we’re back together now.”
Yan Qingqi smiled. “You and Jing Michu are a good match, both in appearance and personality. I can tell you have a strong relationship.”
Qiao An blushed, happily sipping her coffee.
Yan Qingqi was a little curious. “By the way, what kind of person was Wen Shuyan, the one you knew?”
Qiao An smiled. “Cousin, she was just like you are now. The same gentle smile, and that elegant presence of a rich heiress. The demeanor is exactly the same.”
Yan Qingqi smiled faintly. “I don’t feel like a rich heiress at all right now.”
“Wait until Chu Chu comes back. Ask her to calculate all the companies your family directly or indirectly controls, your overseas assets, and your mines. Then you’ll start to feel it.”
Yan Qingqi asked, surprised, “I have mines too?!”
Qiao An said, “Your family literally has mines.”
The two chatted for a while. Qiao An talked about the few times she and Jing Michu had been guests at the Wen family home. “Cousin, you really know everything. That one time, I learned for the first time that humpback whales like to attack killer whales, saving those poor penguins, seals, and sea lions from the killer whales, intentionally disrupting their meals.”
Yan Qingqi smiled and continued the thought. “It might be because the humpback calves were hunted by killer whales when they were young. They attack the killer whales to protect their young, and also out of resentment.”
After she spoke, Yan Qingqi was surprised to realize that she had known this information without knowing how. She had been focused on cooking and developing her menu since she woke up.
Qiao An asked in surprise, “Cousin, is your memory coming back?”
Yan Qingqi shook her head. “No. I just suddenly knew it, and it just came out. I don’t know why.”
As she spoke, a scene flashed in her mind: on the boundless ocean, a massive creature leaped out of the water. She saw a legendary kun—a huge fish.
She saw a giant whale leaping out of the water when she was about seven or eight years old.
The great whale heavily slapped the surface of the sea, sending up a surge of waves. The spectacle and shock made the young Yan Qingqi’s heart leap with joy.
Qiao An comforted her. “Cousin, don’t worry. Your memory will slowly return.”
“Mhm. I hope I remember the past soon too.”
That evening, Song Tingxue returned, washed her hands, and prepared to eat. She accidentally glanced at the trash can and recognized the K-family coffee cup she liked.
It wasn’t strange that Yan Qingqi had bought coffee. What was strange was that there were two coffee cups in the trash can.
Song Tingxue pursed her lips, wanting to pretend she hadn’t seen it, but as Yan Qingqi sat down across from her, she couldn’t help but ask, “Did someone come over?”
“Yes. The dishwasher was delivered this morning, and they installed it this afternoon.” Yan Qingqi loved the little white appliance. “I can try out the dishwasher tonight. Thank you, wife.”
“Did you offer the technician coffee?”
Song Tingxue saw her look over and explained, “I saw the coffee cups in the trash.”
“Oh, it wasn’t the technician. It was another friend, also in this community. She came over this afternoon to visit, and we had a cup of coffee together.”
Song Tingxue nodded. “What did you two talk about?”
What did they talk about?
She couldn’t exactly say they mostly talked about their past gatherings at the Wen family home.
“We just talked about cooking.”
The things in the private kitchen takeout group chat were related to cooking, after all.
“Do you enjoy cooking?”
Yan Qingqi said, “When I’m not busy, cooking is quite nice, but it depends on who I’m cooking for. For someone I hate? Forget it. I wouldn’t cook for them, no matter how much money they gave me.”
Song Tingxue saw the hatred in her eyes, a rare hint of displeasure and disdain in her usually gentle and serene expression. She was a little curious. “What’s wrong? Did someone make you angry?”
“Nothing. It’s just that some people are annoying. More annoying than a killer whale.”
“A killer whale?”
Song Tingxue blinked. How did a killer whale suddenly get involved?
The next morning, Yan Qingqi was busy preparing today’s ingredients in the kitchen. Unexpectedly, someone knocked on the door while she was still stewing soup.
Yan Qingqi thought it was Qiao An coming to help. When she checked the monitor at the door, she saw people in uniform.
The door opened. Two people were standing outside. “We’re from the XX Bureau. Here are our credentials. Someone reported you for operating without a license. We need your cooperation for an investigation.”
Yan Qingqi: “…”
At the same time, Xiaole at the film set received a call. “We’re from the XX Bureau. Are you Song Tingxue, the owner of the villa at 37 Hidden Mountain?”
Xiaole: “…”
Inside the house, facing the evidence laid out by the enforcement officers—WeChat chat logs, menu photos, and food photos—Yan Qingqi had nothing to say.
“You are operating without a license…”
That morning, the private kitchen takeout was shut down. Fortunately, the enforcement officers didn’t confiscate her kitchen equipment. The equipment was sparse anyway: a home refrigerator, a rice cooker, and a built-in stove.
Yan Qingqi fiercely protected her things. “My cooking tools are really just what I use at home! If you take away my pots, how will I cook dinner tonight? And my range hood, my spatulas, my knives—I can’t cook without these! I promise I won’t run a private kitchen anymore!”
They looked at the value of the food inventory today—beef and fish. Although the ingredients were high-end, the total value was less than ten thousand yuan.
In the end, they issued Yan Qingqi a fine of 2,000 yuan.
Yan Qingqi gasped!
Well, she was shut down after just over ten days of business, hit with a 2,000 yuan fine. That was all her profit gone! She didn’t earn any money and was even reported to the authorities.
Yan Qingqi slumped onto the sofa and sighed deeply.
A moment later, Qiao An came over. “Cousin, what’s wrong? Why did the XX Bureau car come to your house just now?”
“Someone reported my private kitchen for operating without a license. It’s been shut down.”
Qiao An exclaimed, “You were reported? Who reported you?”
Yan Qingqi said, “I don’t know. It must be someone from the group chat.”
Qiao An immediately realized. “It must be that ‘Just Saying’ from building 14. He lost the argument yesterday and got kicked out of the group, so he got revenge by reporting you.”
Yan Qingqi didn’t speak. She had already guessed that “Just Saying” was behind it.
“Cousin, forget it. If you can’t do it, don’t do it. You’re the dignified Wen family heiress. If you calculated your labor cost according to your family’s wealth, wouldn’t a single portion cost an astronomical price? Just let that person from building 14 order takeout somewhere else.”
Yan Qingqi had already been agonizing over whether to continue the private kitchen, worried that she couldn’t fully take care of Songsong.
Now that it was shut down, her worries were completely gone.
As they were talking, a car arrived outside. Someone wearing a shawl, sunglasses, and a mask got out.
The door opened with a click.
The two people in the house heard someone open the door and looked toward the entrance.
Yan Qingqi had already guessed who it was, but she was still surprised to see the familiar figure appear before her. “Songsong?”
Song Tingxue was a little surprised to see a third person in the house. She immediately recognized the person as the girl who had been talking to Yan Qingqi during her morning jog that day. She paused her hand, which was about to remove her mask.
Qiao An saw how bundled up she was and realized the person was a big star. This was clearly not the time to be a fan.
“I’ll be going now. Talk to you later.” Qiao An waved to Yan Qingqi and left. As she passed the Three Gold Movie Queen Song Tingxue, she gave her a nervous, curious glance. “Hello. Excuse me. Goodbye.”
Song Tingxue gave a faint nod. “Hello. Goodbye.”
The door closed.
Song Tingxue took off her sunglasses and mask. Yan Qingqi helped her remove the shawl covering her head.
It turned out her hair and costume accessories hadn’t been removed yet. She was still in her historical costume.
It was the first time Yan Qingqi had seen Songsong in costume. Her hair was like dark clouds, draped over her shoulders, with an exquisitely crafted jade hairpin in it. Two strands of white ribbon near her temples fluttered gracefully.
Her sacred, aloof demeanor was even more pronounced.
Yan Qingqi’s eyes widened. Wow, my wife looks so beautiful in costume, truly like a goddess. The beautiful, ethereal heroines from novels suddenly had a physical form.
“Songsong, why did you come back?”
“I came back to check.” Song Tingxue glanced at her and walked toward the kitchen. Looking at the counter full of ingredients and the open cabinet doors, she asked, “What is all this?”
Yan Qingqi quickly spread her arms to block the view, but there was too much for one person to hide. “Nothing. I’m… I’m just cleaning. Getting ready to clean out the cabinets.”
“Then what are these?” Song Tingxue smiled faintly, her eyes fixed on the beef and five or six fish on the counter.
“I just bought them this morning. I was going to process them and freeze them.” Yan Qingqi tried to explain. “I was in the middle of it when you came back. You know, these fish are so fresh. They’re just over a pound each. Not too big, not too small.”
Song Tingxue listened to her, then slowly said, “The XX Bureau called me today.”
Yan Qingqi immediately wilted. She turned around dejectedly. “You know about it? I’m sorry. Did I disrupt your filming?”
“Are you really running a private kitchen?”
Yan Qingqi’s face flushed. Her head dropped low. She murmured yes.
“Why did you think of running a private kitchen?”
“One time, I ordered takeout. When I went to pick it up, I saw everyone ordering takeout. I figured since I had to cook for myself anyway, I might as well cook a little extra and sell the surplus to earn some money. So I started taking orders in the community, cooking and delivering myself.”
Song Tingxue suddenly remembered what Xiaole had said about seeing Yan Qingqi rush out of another villa with three portions of takeout in the car.
“Do you usually drive to deliver orders?”
Yan Qingqi nodded. “It’s faster to drive. The food is still hot when it reaches the customer.”
“How many orders do you take a day?”
“Two or three at first. Now it’s usually around ten.”
“Were you delivering orders the day Xiaole came back for medicine?”
“Mhm. I was halfway through delivering. I had three more to go. When I got Xiaole’s call, I rushed back.”
Song Tingxue smiled faintly, suddenly feeling incredibly good. “How much money did you make in total from this private kitchen takeout?”
At the mention of money, Yan Qingqi sighed. “A total of 2,280 yuan. The XX Bureau just came and fined me 2,000. So, I basically worked for nothing.”
Song Tingxue looked at the usually gentle and elegant woman, who was now showing a rare expression of wistful disappointment.
She smiled faintly. “Will you do it again?”
“It’s shut down now. I won’t do it again. Wife, I’m sorry. I even made you come back halfway.”
Song Tingxue looked at the flustered A-Yan and suddenly said, “Let’s have lunch together. Let me be the last customer of your private kitchen.”
Yan Qingqi was startled. She looked up, her lips curving upward. The anxiety and guilt on her face vanished, replaced by a delighted smile. “Then wait a moment. Go rest. It will be ready soon.”
It was the first time Song Tingxue had lunch at home. She poured herself a glass of water and sat down at the dining table, chatting casually with Yan Qingqi, who was busy in the kitchen.
“A-Yan, who was that girl who came over just now? Was she an Omega?”
“Her name is Qiao An. She’s an Omega and lives right across the street in number 31. Her fiancée is Jing Michu. She’s not usually here but will probably come over in a couple of days. Maybe we can all get together.”
Yan Qingqi was thinking that the DNA test results weren’t out yet. When they were, and she was confirmed to be Wen Shuyan, she would introduce them to Songsong as her cousins.
“I’m not sure if you’ll be free then, wife. If it’s inconvenient, I can just meet them for lunch, or we can meet outside.”
“Are you very familiar with them?”
Yan Qingqi thought about it. Wen Shuyan was their cousin, so they were definitely very close. But the problem was that she still couldn’t completely confirm she was Wen Shuyan.
“We chatted a lot in the group chat, and when I was too busy, they were kind enough to come over and help. So, we’re quite familiar.”
Song Tingxue said, “Did you tell them who I was?”
“Yes,” Yan Qingqi paused, asking worriedly, “Was I not supposed to?”
Yan Qingqi thought, It wasn’t me who told them. They are well-connected and found out you live here themselves.
Song Tingxue thought for a moment. “It’s not a big deal. I think Miss Qiao recognized me just now, but she didn’t expose me. She seems very discreet. Let’s just gather here at home.”
“That sounds wonderful. I’ll cook several dishes then.”
Yan Qingqi quickly prepared lunch: two vegetable dishes, a light fish fillet soup, and braised fish.
“We’ll just make do with a simple lunch. I’ll braise the beef this afternoon, and we can have braised beef tonight.”
Song Tingxue wasn’t picky about food. Besides, the freshly cooked dishes were visually appealing and delicious, much better than the boxed meals she usually ate.
But as she ate, Song Tingxue noticed Yan Qingqi glancing at her and smiling shyly.
“What’s wrong? Why are you staring at me?”
“I feel like I’m having lunch with a fairy sister, like in a novel. It feels a little unreal.”
A faint blush appeared on Song Tingxue’s face. “Do you like my costume?”
“It’s beautiful. I can hardly believe the person across from me is my wife.”
Song Tingxue pursed her lips and smiled. Her clear eyes sparkled brightly. She served her a piece of fish. “Eat. Do you believe it now?”
Yan Qingqi looked at the tangible piece of fish in her bowl. It was real. The fairy sister was her wife, and the fairy sister was serving her food.
Yan Qingqi ate happily and joyfully. She thought of something, and the corners of her mouth curled up, a silent smile blooming on her lips.
“What are you thinking, A-Yan?”
“I’m thinking I must have saved the world in a past life to have a fairy wife like Songsong in this life.”
Song Tingxue’s ears quickly flushed red.
When her Miss Yan suddenly spoke such sweet words, she was completely defenseless.
After eating, Yan Qingqi learned that Song Tingxue had driven herself back. A comical image instantly appeared in her mind: a beautiful fairy aggressively turning a steering wheel. It felt completely jarring.
A fairy had to be ethereal.
She insisted on driving Songsong back to the set. “Wait for me. I’ll dispose of the food scraps and put the dishes in the dishwasher, and then we’ll go.”
Yan Qingqi couldn’t stand to leave the leftover food and used dishes on the table. She couldn’t tolerate them staying there until she got back.
As the car drove along the streets of L City, Song Tingxue felt a small, inexplicable joy for the first time. Miss Yan was driving her to work.
The person in the driver’s seat had striking features, with a side profile that was almost perfect. The forearm resting on the steering wheel had smooth, naturally beautiful lines. Song Tingxue knew how strong those forearms were, easily able to lift her with one hand and tirelessly provide her with passion and pleasure on undisturbed nights.
Song Tingxue shyly turned her head to look out the window, one hand nervously holding her phone.
The car stopped. Yan Qingqi asked, “Is this it?”
“Yes, this is it. Just stop here. I’ll walk in myself.”
Yan Qingqi planned to leave the car for her and call a taxi home.
Just as she was about to open the door and get out, Song Tingxue suddenly grabbed her arm.
The fairy sister’s face magnified before her eyes. A faint blush covered her snow-white cheeks, and her long, thick eyelashes veiled the emotions in her eyes like small fans.
“Song…” Yan Qingqi had just spoken one syllable when the rest of her words were caught in her throat.
Songsong’s kiss was shy yet insistent, simple yet direct.
Yan Qingqi cupped her face and deepened the kiss.
In the confined space, as their lips and tongues intertwined, the sweet, shy kiss quickly turned passionate and hot.
Yan Qingqi’s hand stroked her over her clothes. Song Tingxue gave a soft moan but didn’t stop her. She wrapped her arms around Yan Qingqi’s neck, chasing the sweetness in her mouth, and the kiss became deeper and hotter.
Fortunately, Yan Qingqi managed to control herself in time. She gently adjusted Song Tingxue’s clothes, comforting her and seemingly herself. “Later tonight, when we’re home and no one can disturb us.”
Song Tingxue’s face was even redder. She hugged Yan Qingqi and kissed her neck again.
She knew very well that the film set was nearby and people were coming and going, so it was inconvenient. But if A-Yan had insisted, she probably wouldn’t have refused, and she didn’t want to refuse at the moment. At most, she would have asked A-Yan to be gentle and not make too much noise.
“Wife, focus on filming. I’ll be waiting for you to wrap up.”
Yan Qingqi smiled and gently patted Songsong’s back. Songsong tilted her head back and pressed her cheek against hers. With that contact, Yan Qingqi realized her wife’s cheek was hot.
“Wife, are you alright?”
Song Tingxue was nestled in her arms, and the night-blooming cereus scent she exhaled was hot. “I… my heat is approaching.”
Yan Qingqi was startled, knowing what a heat cycle meant for an Omega.
“Do you want to take time off and go home?”
Song Tingxue shook her head. “Filming wraps up the day after tomorrow. I want to finish quickly, and then my heat can start. A-Yan, I… I want you to bite me. Just one bite.”
The soft, fragrant Omega was clinging to her, wrapping her arms tightly around her neck, leaning against her like a delicate kitten.
Yan Qingqi no longer hesitated. She lifted the hair from the back of Songsong’s neck. The circle of flushed scent gland tissue on her pale neck was noticeably swollen.
Sensing the Alpha pheromones drawing near, Song Tingxue hugged A-Yan even tighter, sniffing the cedar scent on her. The cool night-blooming cereus scent she exhaled seeped through the collar of Yan Qingqi’s shirt, staining her skin and penetrating her flesh.
Each breath was like a soft-spined tail, silently arousing every nerve in the Alpha.
Yan Qingqi could no longer resist and bit down hard.
After the marking, they kissed and marked again until the unsettling feeling inside Songsong subsided. Song Tingxue pulled an inhibitor patch from her bag and stuck it on. Then, she fixed her clothes and slowly got out of the car.
“I’m going to the set.”
Yan Qingqi smiled and waved. “Wife, we’ll continue tonight.”
Song Tingxue smiled back, her eyes full of shy joy. “Mhm.”
Yan Qingqi also got out of the car and walked toward the main road.
She didn’t immediately call a taxi home. Instead, she went to a pharmacy and bought herself a bottle of inhibitor spray.
Author’s Note:
Yan Qingqi: My private kitchen is gone just like that. But that’s fine. Now I can focus on helping my wife with her heat…
