Accidentally Picked Up a Rich and Amnesiac Alpha (GL) - Chapter 3
The large villa gate opened with a “drip” sound.
A gentle breeze blew in. In the April spring wind, a tall, cool shadow entered. Song Tingxue was wearing a white skirt suit that made her skin appear as white as snow. Her long, dark brown waves elegantly cascaded over her slender waist, and her long, straight legs were exposed.
Yan Qingqi’s eyes fell on her girlfriend again, and she was once again captivated. She thought to herself, My girlfriend is a top star for a reason. Her looks, figure, and temperament are one in a million.
Song Tingxue said, “Are you eating?”
Xiaole wiped the sauce from the corner of her mouth. The plate of steak was empty. She stood up and said, “Sister Song, have you eaten? Miss Yan is an amazing cook.”
Song Tingxue stopped and looked at the untouched steak and egg on the plate in front of A-Yan.
“Did you make this?”
The beautiful, confident Alpha gave a slight nod, the curve of her smiling lips creating a charming arch. The coldness in her eyes lessened considerably. “I did. You haven’t eaten, have you? You eat this first. I’ll make another one.”
With that, she stood up and, with true Alpha grace, pulled out a chair, inviting her girlfriend to sit.
This pretty-but-useless Alpha has a nice personality. She’s also very considerate. She’s a trainable Alpha, Xiaole thought to herself.
“Thank you.” Song Tingxue didn’t refuse. She sat down in the chair and picked up her knife and fork to eat.
While Yan Qingqi went into the kitchen, Xiaole quickly recounted her conversation with her to Sister Song. Song Tingxue smiled, and countless sparkles twinkled in her clear eyes, whether because Xiaole’s story was amusing or because the steak on her plate was so tender and juicy.
It’s because I kissed her first, Song Tingxue thought to herself. That’s a very good reason.
Before long, Yan Qingqi brought out another plate of steak and fried egg. She sat down next to Song Tingxue and asked with a smile, “How is it? Does it taste okay?”
“It’s delicious. The steak is very tender, and the doneness is perfect.” As she spoke, Song Tingxue took a document from her handbag and placed it in front of Yan Qingqi.
“A-Yan, this is a hidden marriage agreement. Please sign it. We’ll officially register our marriage tomorrow, okay?”
Her words startled not only A-Yan but also Xiaole, who froze.
Song Tingxue didn’t seem surprised by their reaction. “Xiaole, I’ve already talked to Sister Ji about this. You can go home and rest. Come pick us up at 9 AM tomorrow.”
“Oh, okay, alright, Sister Song.”
Sister Song has the agreement ready. It seems she’s really determined to get married. Well, it’s a rare second chance. Where else would she find a girlfriend this beautiful and charming?
Xiaole smiled widely, picked up her bag, and left. She thoughtfully closed the door behind her. “Sister Song, you two enjoy your time together.”
Only Song Tingxue and Yan Qingqi were left in the large house.
With slender fingers, Yan Qingqi picked up the few thin pages and quickly scanned the clauses of the agreement.
The agreement was very favorable to her. Even for pre-marital assets, Yan Qingqi’s belonged to her, while Movie Queen Song generously included her pre-marital assets as marital property and was willing to split it evenly in case of divorce.
There was only one point: if they had a child, the child would belong to Song Tingxue after the divorce.
Song Tingxue wasn’t in a hurry and patiently waited for Yan Qingqi to read the agreement.
She had done two things during the afternoon: first, she had asked her bodyguard Lingzi to investigate why A-Yan was there, and second, she went to her agency to talk to her manager, Ji Yun.
Upon hearing that Song Tingxue was getting married, Ji Yun almost passed out from anger.
“Yesterday, you ruined a couture gown with blood, and I had to find a replacement for you. And today, you come to me and say you’re getting married!”
“Song Tingxue, do you know how hard it was for you to get where you are today? Or for me? You’re giving up a brilliant career, right during your peak, to get married?!”
“You’re going to tell me honestly today. When did you start dating? How long have you been in a secret relationship?”
Song Tingxue remained silent, sitting across from her. Her voice was calm. “Not very long. We met by chance yesterday, and I don’t want to be apart from her again, so I’ve decided to marry her.”
After a brief silence, Ji Yun, the agency’s top manager, was furious and almost went ballistic, wanting to tear her to pieces. “Song Tingxue! You’re a hopeless romantic!”
However, Song Tingxue was unexpectedly stubborn about getting married, willing to pay any penalty. Finally, Ji Yun went to the company’s senior management. The company, of course, didn’t want to lose their most popular cash cow, especially since they didn’t have other marketable artists. It was a transitional period, and many newcomers were depending on Song Tingxue to lead the way.
After deliberation, the company agreed to let Song Tingxue get married, but with one condition: for the first three years, if they weren’t divorced, the marriage had to be hidden and couldn’t be made public.
Song Tingxue agreed and found a lawyer. Thus, this hidden marriage agreement was created.
Yan Qingqi’s eyes scanned the last page of the agreement, where Song Tingxue had already signed her name. The handwriting was neat and meticulous, showing her resolve when she put the pen to paper.
Yan Qingqi’s lips curved upward. When she picked up the pen to sign, she subconsciously wanted to write the “three dots of water” radical, as if from a deep-seated muscle memory.
But wait, my last name is Yan. The first stroke should be a single dot, shouldn’t it?
Song Tingxue saw her suddenly stop writing and asked with curiosity, “What’s wrong? Is it because of the hidden marriage?”
Song Tingxue sounded apologetic. “You know what I do for a living. Although I don’t rely on my celebrity status to make a living, being a public figure has its own quirks. This is the biggest concession the company was willing to make. A-Yan, can you understand?”
Yan Qingqi nodded slightly. “You’re a Movie Queen, a top star. I completely understand the hidden marriage.”
“Is it… because of the child?” Song Tingxue wasn’t willing to compromise on this matter. “I’m sorry. I really want to have our child. I will love them very much.”
Yan Qingqi smiled. “Why do you think we’ll get a divorce? Wouldn’t it be better if we stayed together and lived happily ever after?”
Yan Qingqi wasn’t sure if it was her imagination, but she saw the tip of Song Tingxue’s ear, which was visible through her hair, turn red. It was soft and pink, very cute.
To be able to marry such a beautiful, gentle, and considerate Omega… Yan Qingqi felt incredibly lucky.
“It just feels a little surreal,” Yan Qingqi said gently. “Can I think about it? I want to sign tomorrow.”
Song Tingxue didn’t force her. “Okay.” After a pause, Song Tingxue spoke again, her cool eyes filled with concern. “You should focus on recovering from your injuries first.”
Yan Qingqi carefully put the agreement aside.
“Do you know how I got hurt?” Yan Qingqi asked as she began to clear the table.
“I’m not sure yet. I’ve already asked someone to investigate.” Song Tingxue got up to help. “I’ll do the dishes. You’re a patient, and you just cooked. It’s my turn to do the dishes.”
“I’ll do them. You’re a big star and an Omega. How can I let you do the dishes? It would be a shame to get your beautiful hands dirty.” Yan Qingqi laughed cheerfully, carrying the dishes into the kitchen. She put on gloves, scraped off the food residue, and then placed the plates in the sink.
Song Tingxue watched her do all this, her gaze moving from the dishes to her fingertips. When her beautiful fingers were covered by the gloves, she couldn’t help but think to herself, Your hands are beautiful, too. Not just beautiful but long and slender.
At the thought of “long,” Movie Queen Song’s ears turned red again.
“I remember I wasn’t hit by a car. I think someone hit me. Someone swung a stick at me.”
The calm goddess, who had been smiling, suddenly tensed up at these words. Song Tingxue stared intently at Yan Qingqi, suppressing the unease in her heart. “Do you remember anything else?”
Yan Qingqi placed the plates, knives, and forks one by one into the sink. She tilted her head and thought for a few seconds, but her head began to hurt again. “I can’t remember. I just remember that someone jumped out and hit me.”
“What about the other things? Do you remember anything else?”
“I don’t remember. I can’t think of it. It just gives me a headache.”
Song Tingxue secretly breathed a sigh of relief. “It might be because of the head injury. It hurts whenever you overthink. You shouldn’t think about it anymore.”
“Yeah, I can still do physical things, but thinking is a no-go for me right now.”
Song Tingxue smiled. “Then you should rest well. Don’t think about anything and just focus on healing.”
Yan Qingqi turned on the faucet, and water rushed out. She bent down and began to wash the dishes naturally, as if she had done this before, scrubbing each plate without a hint of impatience.
Song Tingxue stayed by her side, watching her fair forearm, her tall figure, and the gentle eyebrows and eyes that would turn and smile at her from time to time.
Song Tingxue, who had planned on hiring a cook, hesitated.
It seems quite nice to just be here, helping A-Yan with the dishes.
“A-Yan, shall I show you around the house?”
“Okay.”
Song Tingxue took the fair hand hanging by her side. Her heart pounded in her chest. The moment her fingers touched Yan Qingqi’s, a delicate and soft sensation like an electric current traveled from her fingertips all the way to her heart.
Her heartbeat quickened.
“Are you a little cold?” Feeling the slight trembling of the hand in her palm, Yan Qingqi curled her fingers and held her girlfriend’s hand. “Do you want me to turn up the air conditioner a couple of degrees?”
“No, I’m not cold.” Song Tingxue’s lips curled upward. Her long eyelashes, cast downward, hid the blush that was quietly creeping up her face.
She turned her hand to hold the slightly larger one in hers. She looked up at Yan Qingqi and gave a small smile. Her cool eyes sparkled as if gentle water was flowing within them.
Her own reflection was perfectly clear in that spring of water.
For the first time, Yan Qingqi felt that all the beautiful scenery in the world couldn’t compare to the moment the holy, snow-capped mountain began to melt under the sun.
Yan Qingqi tightened her grip on the hand in her palm, feeling incredibly happy and fortunate.
She loved being looked at with such tenderness by the one she loved.
