Synopsis: 

Chen Ge, an 18th-tier actress, finally landed her first job in a year: a spot on a low-budget web variety show produced by an equally obscure team. However, her “business partner” (CP) on the show spent the entire time subtly undermining her while pretending to praise her.

Just as Chen Ge was wavering between walking off the set or sucking it up for the paycheck, everything changed. Her business partner was suddenly replaced, the script was completely overhauled, and the obscure little show—previously destined for failure—suddenly exploded in popularity and began trending daily.

Soon after, Chen Ge even received an audition invitation for a lead role in a major blockbuster produced by a gold-standard team.
