Lin Shen let out a cold snort and shot her a look of disdain. “Are you sick? How can you not know if you’ve marked someone or not? Haven’t you always been a clean freak? You used to complain that other Omegas smelled bad. If you hadn’t found someone like Tao Ran—high compatibility and looks that meet your standards—you’d still be a ‘virgin’ right now.”

Yu Li’s face instantly lit up with joy. She let out a few goofy laughs and excitedly grabbed Lin Shen’s hand. “Thank you, thank you so much!”

Lin Shen looked at her with a face full of question marks. “Thanking me for what?”

Yu Li didn’t say anything, simply shaking her head with an immense sense of relief.

“Hearing that come out of your mouth… it’s not very believable.” Lin Shen grinned. Yu Li caught a glimpse of a blue tongue piercing shimmering on her pink tongue.

This woman is probably a scumbag Alpha too, Yu Li thought helplessly. Does the original owner not have a single normal friend?

“Alright, time for lip glaze…” Lin Shen rummaged through her backpack, her brown eyebrows knitting slightly. “Shoot, I left it in the other car. Wait here, I’ll go grab it.”

She had wanted to ask which makeup artist was helping Tao Ran and what style they specialized in, but on second thought, her Tao Ran had such high visuals and could pull off any look; there was no need to meddle.

Meanwhile, Tao Ran had finished her makeup and was sitting in her van flipping through the script. Lin Lin suddenly poked her head in, waving a bottle of juice.

“Sister Ranran, here’s your favorite peach flavor.”

“Thank you.” Tao Ran took the drink and asked casually, “What’s the situation?”

Lin Lin glanced back at Yu Li’s van. “Yu Li has been in the car doing makeup the whole time. She hasn’t gone anywhere else or done anything strange.”

“Good work.” Tao Ran gave her a gentle smile and took a small sip of the peach juice.

“Don’t worry, Sister Ranran. I’ve heard everything from Sister Liu Xia. Yu Li is no good; I’ll definitely help you escape her clutches.”

Lin Lin was the assistant Liu Xia had carefully handpicked to plant by Yu Li’s side. She was smart, sweet, and had an innocent-looking smile. Being an Omega with very faint pheromones, she was unlikely to trigger an Alpha’s desire. Such an assistant wouldn’t be fired by Yu Li and could help Tao Ran gather evidence of any cheating.

In the other van, a staff member explained the change to Yu Li. She blurted out in surprise:

“A kiss scene?”

“Yes,” the staff member bowed. “We’re very sorry. The weather report said it would rain today, and the director thought that would be perfect for the separation scene, but as you can see, the sun is blazing. We had to swap the schedule. There aren’t many lines; please take a look at the script.”

Yu Li read through it, making a few marks, and let out a series of sighs. If it were just a simple peck on the lips, it would be fine, but this was the most lingering, emotional kiss in the story. According to the script, both leads are supposed to be deeply moved, and their hands shouldn’t be “staying still.”

Tao Ran touched a slight protrusion and pressed gently. Yu Li’s entire body shuddered, and she pulled Tao Ran into a tighter embrace.

That spot… was her gland. Tao Ran was actually touching her most sensitive, vulnerable spot in front of all these people.

Yu Li’s breathing rhythm completely fell apart. She instinctively wanted to release her and step back, but Tao Ran grabbed her shirt with one hand and secretly stepped on her foot to prevent her from leaving.
