After Becoming a Scumbag Alpha, the Green Tea Omega is Reborn - Chapter 2
“Huh?” Yu Li was completely stunned, blinking her eyes in a daze.
“You’re not willing?” Tao Ran pouted, her voice dripping with mock sweetness. “Didn’t you say before that you wanted to have a baby soon?”
Tao Ran thought confidently: When Yu Li touches me, I’ll cry out in pain. Then I’ll have an excuse to go out and buy medicine for the whip wounds and emergency contraception. Yu Li was someone who succumbed to the “soft” approach rather than the “hard” one, and she had a weakness for seductive “Green Tea” types—she surely wouldn’t refuse.
However, in the next second, Yu Li picked Tao Ran up in a horizontal carry, placed her gently on the sofa, and said with righteous solemnity, “This… this is out of the question.”
Tao Ran: “???”
Yu Li took Tao Ran’s hand and said, “For an actress, getting pregnant leads to losing roles and ruins your career path. Honey, we can’t have a child.”
She clearly couldn’t wait to lock me in a room to spend my life breeding, yet now she’s talking to me about my career? Tao Ran stared with wide, confused eyes.
“Aside from this, I can agree to anything else you ask,” Yu Li said with an earnest expression.
Then just let me go buy the damn birth control pills. Tao Ran almost blurted it out, but she bit her tongue just in time and changed her words with a smile.
“Then… can I go out?”
Yu Li asked hesitantly, “You just got hurt. Where are you going?”
“I want to buy some medicine, and we’re running low on daily necessities at home…”
“Dr. Liang already prescribed medicine for you. Just tell me what you need and I’ll buy it. It’s late and you’re injured; it’s not safe for you to go out.” As she spoke, Yu Li started putting on her jacket.
As expected, Tao Ran thought. Yu Li is playing that game again—a slap followed by a sweet date, eventually leading back to imprisonment. But getting rid of this woman for a while was fine too.
Tao Ran flashed a toothy grin. “Then thank you, honey. I’ll wait for you at home.”
Taking advantage of the gap while Yu Li was out, Tao Ran quickly used a delivery app to order emergency contraception from a 24-hour pharmacy. At the same time, she received several messages from her friend, Liu Xia.
“I know you’re already married, and saying this now is useless, but I still want to remind you: Yu Li is absolutely no good.”
“You can ignore the dirt on her spending every day in bars, but you can’t ignore her desire for control.”
“She even wants to turn down tomorrow’s film audition for you. That’s the opportunity you’ve been waiting three years for!”
Liu Xia was Tao Ran’s former manager and her best friend. Liu Xia firmly believed Tao Ran would be a star; even when Tao Ran decided to marry Yu Li and break her contract with her original company, Liu Xia hadn’t given up on her.
Tao Ran sent a voice message full of gratitude. “Xiaxia, thank you. I already know. I will definitely attend tomorrow’s audition on time.”
Wearing black clothes, a mask, and sunglasses, Yu Li left her massive villa. Following the GPS, she turned through several alleys before finding an all-night convenience store. She bought some daily necessities like sanitary pads.
It was late, and luckily there was a small pharmacy next to the convenience store that was still open. Yu Li rushed in and bought the medications Dr. Liang had instructed.
Half an hour later, as she headed back carrying large bags, she passed a bar. A few women dressed in flashy outfits walked out, cigarettes dangling from their lips.
Yu Li knew she was a big star now and was afraid of being recognized. Lugging the two heavy bags, she lowered her head and tried to walk past them slowly.
A woman with a mole at the corner of her eye stared at her for a few seconds, froze, and blurted out, “Sister Yu, is that you?”
The other women looked over. When they saw Yu Li, their cigarettes almost fell out of their mouths. Through her dark sunglasses, Yu Li locked eyes with the woman with the mole; the latter was so shocked her jaw nearly hit the ground.
“It really is Yu Li. Why are you carrying so many things by yourself? Where’s your assistant? Did you fire them again?”
“Even if you did, didn’t you just marry a wife? Why aren’t you making her do the work?”
Since she couldn’t pretend otherwise, Yu Li could only give a dry laugh and say, “It’s fine. I can carry them myself.”
The women were dumbfounded. Was there a mistake? These are lines coming from Master Yu, the woman who never lifts a finger for manual labor? And what the hell is ‘it’s fine’? Usually, when she goes shopping, she has three assistants just to carry her bags.
The woman with the mole shook her head, threw her cigarette to the ground, and crushed it hard. She leaned in and said in disbelief, “What kind of trauma did you suffer?”
These people were clearly close with the original owner. Fearing that her clumsy explanations would lead to her cover being blown, Yu Li just smiled and said, “Sorry, my wife is waiting for me at home. I have to go.”
Everyone watched as Yu Li, lugging her bags, vanished quickly into the thick night. They instinctively rubbed their eyes.
“Not a hallucination. It was real.”
“Is she serious?”
“She’s fucking lost her mind, hasn’t she?”
“Hey, Sister Yu! Why go home at this hour? Come back to the bar and play with us!”
“Yeah! Shi Yi is here too, you two should hang out!”
Hearing this, Yu Li walked away even faster without looking back. She had just transmigrated and her memories were fragmented; the only person she “knew” was Tao Ran. She didn’t dare interact with any of these strangers.
“That’s weird. Is she possessed by a ghost?”
“Could it be…” The woman with the mole bit her tongue. “Could it be that she actually cares about Tao Ran now?”
Tao Ran had just taken the birth control pill and was planning to review the plot of the original novel the movie was based on when Yu Li suddenly returned, knocking softly on her bedroom door.
“Are you asleep?”
Tao Ran immediately turned off the small night light and pretended to be groggy. “I’ve already turned in. What is it, honey?”
“The pharmacy was still open. I bought the medicines Dr. Liang mentioned. Apply them before you sleep. Also, I put some oral medicine on the nightstand; remember to take it before you drift off.”
Yu Li noticed the light through the door crack suddenly go out and lowered her head in self-reproach.
Tao Ran is an actress; she values her appearance most, yet she was beaten and covered in wounds on her wedding night. She must feel terrible. It’s only natural she doesn’t want to see me.
So, Yu Li added, “Don’t worry, I won’t touch you. I’ll leave the medicine at the door.”
Just as Yu Li turned around, Tao Ran suddenly said, “The door isn’t locked. Come in.”
Yu Li picked up the medicine bottles and opened the door. Tao Ran was sitting by the edge of the bed, still wearing that light green slip dress that traced her exquisite curves. Her snow-white feet swung back and forth, appearing in the moonlight one moment and hiding in the shadows the next.
“Um… this is the topical medicine, three times a day. And this is for internal use, twice a day.” Yu Li hurriedly took the medicine out of the plastic bag and placed it on the nightstand, looking down to avoid staring. Yet, in the next moment, her eyes were uncontrollably glued to the girl.
Tao Ran’s long, fair hands hooked onto both straps and pulled them outward. The dress slid down, becoming a pool of white silk at her feet. She bit her lip, hugged herself, gave Yu Li a bashful glance, and slipped under the covers.
“Come here… aren’t you going to… help me apply the medicine?” Her bright eyes sent a shimmering wave of seduction toward Yu Li, drawing her forward like a soul-snatching spell.
“I…”
Heavens, is this God’s test for me? Yu Li walked over with trembling hands and took out the ointment.
Yu Li kept her head turned away, suspecting she was only one step away from becoming a “crooked-neck tree” from the strain.
“Turn on the light. I can’t see the wounds.”
“You can’t see?”
Tao Ran took her hand and prepared to place it on her own chest. Yu Li flinched in fright and jerked her hand back before they even made contact.
“Um… Tao Ran, if you do this, I’ll easily…”
“It’s just applying medicine.” Tao Ran curled her lips into a smile, her other hand quietly peeling off the suppressant patch from her gland.
In an instant, the entire bedroom was filled with the scent of white musk, assaulting Yu Li’s sense of smell.
I can’t take it. If I stay any longer, something will happen. Yu Li grit her teeth, feverishly unscrewed the medicine bottles one by one, and prepared to leave.
“I’m not feeling well, maybe you should do it yourself…”
In the next second, Tao Ran reached out her arms and hugged her. The thin blanket covering her body quietly slipped down.
“Don’t go. I’ll be scared by myself.” Her breath melted by Yu Li’s ear like the soft paw of a kitten, making Yu Li flush red and her heart race.
No wonder the scumbag Alpha fought so hard to keep Tao Ran. Who could resist this? Yu Li bit her tongue, her hands secretly clenched into fists.
No, she had to control herself.
But the woman behind her was wrapped around her like a vine, her thighs softly rubbing against Yu Li’s back.
“Come up… stay with me.”
Yu Li uncontrollably tumbled onto her. In the chaos, her right hand hit the switch for the bedside lamp. Tao Ran’s cheeks were flushed, her arms were like jade and snow, and her hair was messy—she had a fragile, ethereal beauty.
Yu Li panted slightly. Seeing the red welts on her body and the fallen suppressant patch, she snapped back to her senses. She shook her head, quickly reapplied a new patch for Tao Ran, and even gently tucked her in. She said softly, “Be good. I won’t touch you. Go to sleep once the medicine is on.”
Tao Ran: “…?” Have I lost my charm?
“But… I’m afraid of the dark. Can’t you sleep with me?” Tao Ran pouted and grumbled.
Yu Li pursed her lips and thought for a moment. “How about this: I’ll set up a makeshift bed on the floor next to yours?”
Tao Ran let out a startled “Huh?”.
Yu Li seemed to think her idea was brilliant. “I’ll go find a mat.”
“Hey, no need. Go back to your own room.”
Tao Ran deflated, pulling the blanket over her head and curling into a ball. Hearing the soft sound of the door closing, she was full of doubt.
Why? Why did Yu Li refuse her? Was her body no longer attractive to Yu Li? It’s only the first day, surely it hasn’t come to that yet.
Tao Ran sighed toward the dark ceiling. Failing to seduce Yu Li was a mixed blessing. The good news was she didn’t have to sell her beauty; the bad news was that if she didn’t please Yu Li today, Yu Li surely wouldn’t agree to her auditioning tomorrow.
She had planned to mention it while Yu Li was in the heat of the moment, but Yu Li had no interest in “playing” with her at all. This made things difficult.
Yu Li returned to her room and decided to calm down and look through her friend list and message boxes again. Perhaps she would discover something.
A girl labeled “Shi Yi” had sent several messages ten minutes ago.
“I saw you and Aubrey’s group from the balcony of the bar just now. Why didn’t you come in for a bit?”
Four minutes later, she sent: “Sorry, I didn’t mean to limit you. I just really miss you.”
“I miss you so much. What about you?”
Yu Li clicked on her social feed, saw a few selfies, and memorized her face. So this was Shi Yi—likely the scumbag Alpha’s old flame? And who was this Aubrey?
As Yu Li was wondering, a girl with an “influencer” profile picture labeled “Aubrey” suddenly popped up.
“You’ve got to be kidding me. We agreed yesterday you’d come tonight, but there’s not a sign of you.”
“I thought you were acting weird on the street just now. What’s going on?”
“Don’t tell me you’re actually serious about Tao Ran? That kind of Omega is just a bit ‘fresh,’ is it really worth it?”
The scumbag Alpha’s friends were all wild players who looked down on “good wife” types like Tao Ran.
Yu Li replied with displeasure: “Please don’t say such things. In the past, I had no choice, but in the future, I want to be a normal person. I won’t be going to bars anymore.”
Yu Li put down her phone and took a shower. As she was getting ready for bed, she saw Aubrey had sent a string of voice messages.
“Hahaha! Being a good person or being a ‘backup man’ (sucker)? You want to be a good person, but do you think Tao Ran is a decent person? Do you know she’s going to an audition tomorrow?”
Yu Li couldn’t help but ask: “What’s wrong with going to an audition?”
“Nothing. It’s just that the content of the audition… is a bed scene.”
The voice message ended with Aubrey’s mocking laughter.
