After Differentiating into an O, Pampered by an A - Chapter 10
Shen Yushu felt Ye Xing’s scorching forehead. She thought the Alpha’s rut had returned, but she couldn’t detect any pheromones in the air. Instead, the woman reeked of alcohol and had flushed cheeks, looking more like she was either drunk or suffering from a feverish cold.
To come out to a business dinner in this condition—this woman was certainly willing to risk it all to keep her place in the industry.
Held firmly by Ye Xing, Shen Yushu couldn’t move. She asked coldly, “Ye Xing, where is your assistant?”
Hearing Shen Yushu’s voice, Ye Xing’s grip loosened slightly as she mumbled something incoherent. Seizing the opportunity, Shen Yushu prepared to call a waiter in from outside.
But the moment she moved, Ye Xing turned into an octopus. Her arms wrapped tightly around Shen Yushu’s neck, spraying a mix of boozy breath and heat against Shen Yushu’s skin.
“Ye! Xing!”
Shen Yushu hissed the name through gritted teeth, but Ye Xing remained unresponsive, acting with total reckless abandon.
“Dizzy… feels bad… want to throw up…”
On the other side, Kong Zhen, seeing that Shen Yushu hadn’t returned to the private room for ages, came out to find her. To her surprise, she stumbled upon the two of them huddled together at the entrance of the restroom.
With her back to the hallway and her long hair cascading down her waist, Ye Xing was pressed flush against Shen Yushu. The scene looked incredibly suggestive and romantic.
Exhausting the last of her patience, a flash of anger rose in Shen Yushu’s cold eyes. “Ye Xing, let go of me!”
How can there be an Alpha who loves touching people this much?
The slightly improved impression she’d recently formed of Ye Xing vanished instantly.
Kong Zhen, who had pulled out her phone to call someone, heard a familiar voice and turned back to look. A second later, she was dumbfounded.
Her mouth hung open for a long time before she managed to find her voice. “Whoa… Shen, Shen Yushu. I didn’t realize you played this wild?” Her playful gaze landed on the woman in Shen Yushu’s arms. “Who’s this? To think someone is actually holding onto the body of Jiangcheng’s Number One Alpha and not letting go.”
Seeing that Ye Xing was essentially dead to the world, Shen Yushu’s anger overrode all other emotions. She grabbed Ye Xing’s arms and pushed the “dead weight” back a bit so she could breathe.
She called out to the spectating Kong Zhen in a deep voice, “If you don’t come over here and help me get this woman off, I’m going to want more than just your bar.”
Kong Zhen: “…”
Without another word, she tucked her phone away and hurried over. The moment she pulled Ye Xing away and saw her face, she was shocked all over again.
Holding Ye Xing’s arm, she said in disbelief, “Holy crap, isn’t this Ye Xing? Shen Yushu, you…” Kong Zhen pursed her lips, looking a bit awkward. “She’s an Alpha. This is a bit too stimulating, isn’t it? An AA relationship?”
Shen Yushu shook her arms, which had gone numb from Ye Xing’s grip, and shot Kong Zhen a look of utter disdain. Kong Zhen immediately stopped teasing.
Just then, a waiter arrived. Seeing the swaying Ye Xing, the waiter stepped forward to help Kong Zhen escort her out.
Shen Yushu’s face was covered in a layer of icy frost.
Due to Ye Xing’s status as a celebrity, the waiter brought her to a nearby empty private room and prepared some sobering soup and cold medicine for her.
Ten minutes later, Ye Xing’s phone rang. Kong Zhen glanced at Shen Yushu, saw the caller was Ye Xing’s assistant, and immediately stepped aside to explain the situation.
Shen Yushu looked at the woman lying on the sofa. Her flushed face was slowly returning to normal. However, Shen Yushu felt extremely irritable—why was it that every time she ran into this woman, it was nothing but trouble?
Kong Zhen hung up and walked over, her brow furrowed. “Um, her assistant said they got into a minor fender bender and can’t make it. But it seems her manager is here. Should I have a waiter go find them?”
Shen Yushu remained silent. Just as Kong Zhen turned to leave, she spoke up. “Wait. Have someone help me get her into my car. I’ll drive her back!”
Kong Zhen: “…”
Earlier, when Shen Yushu first entered their private room, she had watched Kong Zhen and her fiancée flaunting their affection. She felt full just from the “dog food” (watching couples be cute) without even eating. With the added exhaustion of dealing with Ye Xing, her appetite was completely gone. She decided to just take her neighbor home on the way.
However, Kong Zhen didn’t know Shen Yushu’s thoughts; her mind was purely on the gossip. “Wait, you two really do have a thing? Shen Yushu, I haven’t seen you in two days and you’ve already got a little lover?”
“Don’t talk nonsense. We live together,” Shen Yushu said instinctively, but immediately realized it sounded wrong. “We are neighbors who live in the same building. Now, get her out of here. Or do you plan on leaving your wife alone all night? I don’t think you need to bother getting married at this rate.”
At those words, Kong Zhen finally snapped to. she called a waiter and helped escort Ye Xing out. “Shen Yushu, we’re even now!”
“No. I’ll have someone come and appraise the market value of your bar later.”
Kong Zhen: “…”
If it weren’t for the fact that they grew up together, Kong Zhen would have been furious. But this was Shen Yushu—someone she couldn’t afford to provoke.
By the red sports car, Kong Zhen finally finished the task of stuffing Ye Xing into the passenger seat. “Do you want me to find someone to drive you guys back?” she asked, looking at the still-unconscious Ye Xing.
“No need. Go back and eat with your wife. I already sent her a text to explain.”
Kong Zhen smiled, showing her pretty dimples. “Fine then. Go ahead and take your ‘little lover’ home early!” To avoid another death stare from Shen Yushu, Kong Zhen vanished from sight instantly.
In the passenger seat, Ye Xing had fallen into a deep sleep thanks to the medicine. Her exquisite face looked invitingly soft under the moonlight, and her silk dress outlined her graceful curves. She looked like a rose blooming in the night.
Shen Yushu reached for the thin blanket in the back seat and tossed it directly over Ye Xing’s face.
“Tch, what a pain.”
She stepped on the gas, and a flash of brilliant red cut through the night.
Little did she know, inside a business van behind the parking lot, someone was secretly snapping photos of this scene.
The man was in his forties, wearing a business shirt and thick glasses. Sweat beaded on his forehead from excitement as he flipped through the shots on his camera. Once he confirmed them, he made a call.
“Hey, Boss! You won’t believe who I caught. Holy crap, a major figure.”
“Stop wasting my time. I told you to stake out that director. Did you get any info on their new variety show? The topic is trending online; if we get first-hand data, we won’t have to worry about our monthly KPI!”
“Heh, with what I caught today, we can just take the rest of the month off.”
“Stop talking crap. Who did you catch?”
“SHEN! YU! SHU!”
Unaware she had been photographed, Shen Yushu arrived back at Jiangting. With a sharp brake, the car parked perfectly in its spot.
The sudden jolt caused the blanket to fall off Ye Xing’s head. She opened her bleary, sleepy eyes. “Is it an earthquake?” she rasped.
A second later, she realized her surroundings. She looked up and met Shen Yushu’s chilling, terrifying eyes. Her pupils contracted.
“Uh… Si… Sister, why am I…?”
She was instantly awake, her memories returning. Ye Xing slowly grabbed the thin blanket on her knees, held it up like a shield, and bit her lip nervously.
“Um, I think I was drunk… my brain must have glitched. I—I didn’t mean to take advantage of you.”
Before she could finish, Shen Yushu decisively unbuckled her seatbelt and snatched the blanket out of Ye Xing’s hands. Her beautiful eyes narrowed into a dangerous arc. She leaned in toward Ye Xing, her slender fingers lightly hooking under Ye Xing’s palm.
The closing distance made Ye Xing feel an invisible pressure. She instinctively shrunk back, only to find there was nowhere to run.
“I’m sorry, I really didn’t do it on purpose, I…”
“Ye Xing,” Shen Yushu said, “this is the last time I will warn you. If you go crazy like this again, I guarantee you will become ‘personally non-existent’ in this industry.”
Ye Xing: “…”
