After Differentiation, I Marked My Arch-nemesis - Chapter 15
It took Chen Huaian a whole morning of apologizing to get Jiang Youli to talk to him again.
At least she was willing to respond.
But he still didn’t understand why she was so mad. It was just so out of character.

Afternoon
Class 1, Grade 11’s third period on Monday afternoon was physical education.
Since the school’s gym uniforms were kept in a storage room by the gym teacher, their sports committee member, Jiang Yunxiao, led the class to the gym to get their uniforms.
He handed out each set of uniforms, which were all labeled with names.
However, there was a difference between the male and female uniforms.
Female Alphas, Omegas, and Betas all had two options for their bottoms: a sports skirt and sports shorts.
After getting their uniforms, everyone in Class 1 went to the locker rooms to change.
The gym had six separate locker rooms: one for female Alphas, one for female Omegas, one for female Betas, and the same for males.
A little while later, Jiang Youli came out of the female Beta locker room after changing.
Chen Huaian and Cen Ziqin were waiting in the hallway outside for her. Both were dressed in their uniforms, full of youthful energy.
Cen Ziqin’s class also had PE at this time.
Jiang Youli walked over to them.
Cen Ziqin straightened up and smiled at her. “A-You, you’re here.”
“Yep,” Jiang Youli said.
Chen Huaian glanced at his watch. “Let’s go, it’s almost time for class.”
Jiang Youli nodded. “Let’s go.”
The three of them walked toward the stairs at the end of the hallway.
The sun was still shining brightly at 4 p.m.
The sunlight coated the green branches and leaves in a layer of brilliant gold.
When the wind blew, the leaves swayed and rustled.
Besides Class 1 and Class 2, other classes and grades also had PE. Looking out, there were students from several classes gathering on the field, and every spot with shade was already taken.
After Class 1 gathered, they ran two laps around the field.
Then they were dismissed for free time.
Jiang Yunxiao took a few students from their class to the gym to borrow sports equipment.
Jiang Youli and Chen Huaian headed for the shade by the field.
The benches under the trees were already full, but three boys on one bench immediately got up and gave their seats to Jiang Youli and Chen Huaian.
They were very thoughtful.
Jiang Youli and Chen Huaian walked over and sat down to rest without hesitation.
No one dared to bother them.
Chen Huaian watched the Class 2 students walk away. “Boss, it looks like Cen Ziqin’s class went to the gym. We probably won’t be able to hang out with them this period.”
Jiang Youli sighed with regret. “Poor Cen Ziqin.”
Cen Ziqin’s PE teacher this semester was very strict. She hadn’t been able to have free time with Jiang Youli and Chen Huaian last week because of him.
She was so annoyed.
The field was filled with laughter, and the air was fresh with the scent of wind and trees. A gentle breeze blew through Jiang Youli’s hair as she leaned back on the bench with her eyes closed. She loved sitting on a bench and napping during PE because the sun was just right and the breeze was gentle during this beautiful time of year.
It was very comfortable.
Chen Huaian borrowed a jacket from a boy on the next bench and covered Jiang Youli’s legs with it to prevent her sports skirt from riding up. Then he sat down next to her, put on his headphones, and listened to music quietly.
Time passed by, second by second.
Jiang Youli’s body and mind felt like they had shed all their burdens and were extraordinarily relaxed.
Her thoughts drifted away, and she fell into a deep sleep.
After some time, Chen Huaian suddenly nudged the deeply sleeping Jiang Youli.
“Boss, wake up, Boss.”
He called her a few times, but she didn’t respond. He pushed her arm hard. “Boss, Boss, wake up, Boss.”
Jiang Youli’s eyelashes fluttered.
She groggily opened her eyes and rubbed them. They were full of bloodshot veins from just waking up. Her voice was a little hoarse. “What’s wrong? Is it time to gather?”
“No,” Chen Huaian said.
He looked at the beautiful girl in the distance. “I saw Sister Xun.”
“Sister Xun?” Jiang Youli asked, her sleepiness quickly fading. “Where is she?”
Chen Huaian pointed to Qiao Yixun. “She’s right there.”
Jiang Youli looked in the direction he was pointing. From dozens of yards away, she met Qiao Yixun’s gaze. Qiao Yixun and Liu Hanyu were walking toward her. Liu Hanyu was Qiao Yixun’s classmate and also an Alpha.
Jiang Youli waved to Qiao Yixun.
Qiao Yixun waved back.
“Boss, I don’t think Sister Xun’s class has PE this period. Sister Xun and Sister Han are skipping class as soon as they get back,” Chen Huaian said, locking his phone and putting it in his pocket with a laugh. “It’s just as good as you being late on the first day of school.”
Jiang Youli didn’t say anything.
A moment later, Qiao Yixun and Liu Hanyu walked over.
Jiang Youli wasn’t affected by Alpha pheromones, but she could feel Qiao Yixun’s Alpha presence. Qiao Yixun was a high-level Alpha.
She took the jacket off her legs, stood up, and walked to Qiao Yixun and Liu Hanyu.
“Sister Xun, Sister Han, long time no see.”
Chen Huaian also walked over and greeted them. “Long time no see, ladies.”
“Long time no see,” Liu Hanyu said.
Qiao Yixun looked at Jiang Youli with a meaningful smile. “A-You, it has been a long time, but I’ve heard all about you.”
Liu Hanyu continued Qiao Yixun’s sentence. “You and Lu Yaoyi…”
Hearing this, Jiang Youli immediately put on a facade of wanting to tell the whole world that she and Lu Yaoyi were completely innocent and had nothing to do with each other. “It was all just a misunderstanding.”
“A-You, you almost got choked to death by a pervert trying to save her,” Qiao Yixun said.
She paused and continued, “Is that also a misunderstanding?”
“That’s not a misunderstanding,” Jiang Youli said with a laugh.
“Well, I’m glad you’re okay,” Qiao Yixun said. “Don’t be so silly again.”
Getting choked to death by a pervert to save someone.
She thought it was a little worthless.
Jiang Youli pursed her lips. “I know. Thanks for your concern, Sister Xun.”
“How’s that pervert doing now? Do you need my help?” Qiao Yixun asked.
“I appreciate the offer, Sister Xun, but you don’t need to trouble yourself. My dad and Lu Yaoyi’s mom are doing everything they can to get the pervert a death sentence,” Jiang Youli said, remembering what Jiang Xiyuan had told her before. “We should have a result next month.”
“That’s good,” Qiao Yixun said.
She gently stroked Jiang Youli’s head without any Alpha dominance. “I’m back now. If you need any help, just tell me.”
“Okay,” Jiang Youli said with a sweet smile.
It felt so good to be protected by a powerful Alpha.
Qiao Yixun turned her head and looked at the field. Lu Yaoyi, who was playing badminton with Jin Rubing, appeared in her eyes. She looked at her and said softly, “I heard that Lu Yaoyi differentiated into an S-class Omega.”
“Yeah,” Jiang Youli said. “She differentiated during the summer.”
As soon as she said this, her mind suddenly flashed with what Chen Huaian had said earlier today.
She couldn’t help but wonder if Qiao Yixun said this because…
Qiao Yixun’s gaze was fixed on Lu Yaoyi. “A-You.”
Jiang Youli’s heart skipped a beat, and she was almost unable to react. “Huh?”
“Lu Yaoyi is really beautiful,” Qiao Yixun said.
Lu Yaoyi’s skirt swaying in the wind entered her heart. Lu Yaoyi, who was in motion, had a unique elegance and charm that made her imagination run wild.
Jiang Youli glanced at Lu Yaoyi.
She was indeed beautiful.
However, she quickly looked away and said disdainfully, “She’s alright, I guess.”
“Just ‘alright?'” Liu Hanyu was a little surprised.
Many of the Alphas she knew were obsessed with Lu Yaoyi. She couldn’t think of a single Alpha who didn’t want to date Lu Yaoyi. “A-You, your standards are pretty high.”
“It’s not that my standards are high,” Jiang Youli said. “It’s just that Lu Yaoyi really looks like that.”
She would never admit that Lu Yaoyi was beautiful.
After a moment of silence, Qiao Yixun looked away from Lu Yaoyi and at Jiang Youli.
“A-You, there’s something I want to tell you.”
Jiang Youli could vaguely guess what Qiao Yixun wanted to say. “What is it?”
Qiao Yixun looked into her eyes. “I want to go after Lu Yaoyi.”
She had always wanted to go after Lu Yaoyi, but Lu Yaoyi was a Beta before and hadn’t differentiated into an Omega. Qiao Yixun, as an Alpha, needed an Omega’s pheromones to soothe her periods of sensitivity, so she had never acted on her fantasy.
But now…
Lu Yaoyi had differentiated into an S-class Omega, which made her a prey Qiao Yixun wanted to capture.
She wanted Lu Yaoyi to be her Omega.
Jiang Youli wasn’t surprised.
But she felt a strange feeling well up inside her.
Chen Huaian’s prophecy came true.
“A-You,” Qiao Yixun said softly. “Would you mind?”
Mind? Jiang Youli was stunned.
She felt like Qiao Yixun was asking if she minded because she thought she liked Lu Yaoyi. So, she quickly made her stance clear. “Of course I don’t mind, Sister Xun. I don’t like Lu Yaoyi, so why would I mind?”
“A-You, I’m not saying you like her,” Qiao Yixun said.
She knew how much Jiang Youli hated Lu Yaoyi. “You’ve always hated her, haven’t you? I was worried that if I went after her, you would be uncomfortable, so I wanted to get your permission. If you say yes, I’ll feel better about going after her.”
Jiang Youli looked at her without saying anything.
Say yes?
She had no reason to say no, and she felt it would be strange if she did. “Of course I say yes, Sister Xun. Who you want to go after is your business. If you like Lu Yaoyi, then go after her.”
But she didn’t feel happy about it.
“Really?” Qiao Yixun asked.
“Really,” Jiang Youli said, nodding solemnly.
Qiao Yixun looked at Lu Yaoyi. “But Lu Yaoyi seems very difficult to approach.”
Jiang Youli thought about all her interactions with Lu Yaoyi over the years and said without hesitation, “She’s not difficult to approach at all, Sister Xun. Don’t let her cold demeanor fool you. When she gets aggressive, she’s like a monster. And when she steps on or kicks people, she’s completely unreasonable. She kicked me really hard for no reason last time.”
She held a grudge.
Hmph. She remembers every time Lu Yaoyi stepped on and kicked her.
“Is that right?” Qiao Yixun asked, raising an eyebrow slightly.
“But, Boss,” Chen Huaian suddenly interjected. “Lu Yaoyi only seems to get aggressive when she’s talking to you. I’ve never seen her get aggressive with anyone else.”
As far as he knew, it was difficult for anyone to even approach Lu Yaoyi, let alone get a word in.
But it was different with Jiang Youli. He had been lucky enough to see Lu Yaoyi leave Jiang Youli speechless and almost faint from anger back in middle school.
Jiang Youli’s lips parted.
But Qiao Yixun cut her off before she could speak.
“A-You,” Qiao Yixun said, looking at Lu Yaoyi. “Then I’ll take your word for it.”
“Take my word for what?” Jiang Youli asked, blinking.
“I’ll take your word that she’s not difficult to approach,” Qiao Yixun said, walking forward. “I’m going to go talk to her now and see if she’s really not as difficult as you say.”
Liu Hanyu followed her.
Jiang Youli was slightly stunned.
She stared at Qiao Yixun’s retreating back, speechless.
Chen Huaian walked up to her. “Boss, I can’t believe I was right. Sister Xun really does like an S-class Omega like Lu Yaoyi.”
For some reason, Jiang Youli felt extremely annoyed.
“Shut up,” she said grumpily. “You’re a jinx, Chen Huaian.”
It’s all Chen Huaian’s fault.
Otherwise, maybe Qiao Yixun wouldn’t have been interested in Lu Yaoyi.
Damn it.
Chen Huaian was speechless.
Jiang Youli’s eyes unconsciously fell on Lu Yaoyi, who was playing badminton.
Chen Huaian rubbed his chin and looked at the ever-closing distance between Qiao Yixun and Lu Yaoyi, deep in thought. “Boss, Lu Yaoyi is so cool and aloof. Do you think she’ll let a beautiful and rich Alpha like Sister Xun approach her? Will she agree to be with Sister Xun?”
Even though Qiao Yixun was a player, she was still a very popular high-level Alpha. Many Omegas knew that even if they slept with Qiao Yixun, nothing would come of it, but they were still willing to sleep with her and be played with.
And only the people who were close to Qiao Yixun knew she was a player because she mostly messed around with Omegas outside of school.
Lu Yaoyi was one of the few targets she had set her sights on in school.
This is really dangerous.
Aloof… Other people said Lu Yaoyi was aloof, but Jiang Youli didn’t think she was at all, at least not around her.
“What do I care if she agrees to be with Sister Xun or not?” Jiang Youli said, her attitude extremely hostile. “Don’t talk like I care about her, okay? If she lets Sister Xun approach her so easily, then her aloofness is just an act.”
“But, Boss,” Chen Huaian said, feeling wronged.
He really didn’t want Lu Yaoyi to go down a bad path with Qiao Yixun. “You and Lu Yaoyi grew up together as neighbors, and we all know what Sister Xun’s love life is like. Aren’t you afraid that Lu Yaoyi will be taken to bed and have her feelings and body played with by Sister Xun? Sister Xun never takes responsibility for those Omegas.”
And he felt that Jiang Youli’s words were a little contradictory.
Didn’t Jiang Youli just say that Lu Yaoyi wasn’t difficult to approach? Then why did she say that if Lu Yaoyi let Qiao Yixun approach her so easily, her aloofness was just an act?
Did Jiang Youli want Lu Yaoyi to let Qiao Yixun approach her?
Or…
He couldn’t figure out what Jiang Youli was thinking anymore.
Hearing this, Jiang Youli found the words “Lu Yaoyi being taken to bed and having her feelings and body played with by Qiao Yixun” to be very jarring, making her feel extremely uncomfortable and annoyed.
She glared at Chen Huaian and exploded. “So what if she gets taken to bed? What does that have to do with me?”
She had a murderous look in her eyes as if Chen Huaian were her sworn enemy.
“Chen Huaian, how many times do I have to tell you that I don’t care about what happens to her or how she’s doing? She has her own legs to walk on. Do you think I can control her? If you say one more word, I’ll make sure you don’t see tomorrow’s sun.”
Chen Huaian’s neck shrunk from Jiang Youli’s murderous gaze.
“I’m sorry, Boss… I won’t say it again…”
Sigh, my boss is throwing a tantrum again.
I have to cheer her up again.
