After Ditching Four Powerful Alphas, I Differentiated into an Omega - Chapter 5
She had only met Song Wanying once.
Jiang Mei’s gaze lingered on Qiao Yu’s smiling red lips for a second, and she unconsciously classified Song Wanying as her number one public enemy.
Adult Alphas are aggressive and have strong tactics. Song Wanying was several years older than Qiao Yu, and Qiao Yu was naive. A few simple words from Song Wanying could easily sweep her off her feet.
So Qiao Yu must have been tricked.
Qiao Yu spent most of the day learning the rules of fan culture. After she had a good grasp of them, Qiao Yu looked at Song Wanying’s ranking with satisfaction. “We have no destiny; it’s all thanks to my money.” She thought for a moment. “Well, since I’ve already spent so much on Sister Song, I might as well get her to number one.”
Meng E watched, dumbfounded, as Qiao Yu’s moves were as fierce as a tiger’s. Without even a frown, she dropped two million on Song Wanying. Suddenly, Meng E thought this “marriage” might not be so bad after all.
An arrogant, glamorous A-list star marrying a naive, wealthy high school girl. If her best friend married her idol, wouldn’t she get to see her idol every day? Wouldn’t that make her the legendary “life winner”?!
Qiao Yu was so wrapped up in the joy of being able to help Jiang Mei get a wife that she didn’t notice her deskmate’s ecstatic expression. She packed her books, slung her small bag over her shoulder, and was about to leave when a brilliant idea hit Meng E. She grabbed Qiao Yu. “Yu Yu, it’s Tang Shu’s birthday today. Don’t forget to go.”
Tang Shu was the original owner’s childhood friend. The two were very close until Tang Shu, disregarding their friendship, stole the original owner’s crush. Their relationship was never the same after that. The original owner was resentful of Tang Shu’s actions, but Tang Shu would always greet Qiao Yu warmly whenever she saw her, although it was mostly to show off.
When Qiao Yu first arrived, she was clueless and friendless. She ran into a smug Tang Shu and ruthlessly took advantage of her.
After Tang Shu figured it out, their relationship took a turn for the worse. Qiao Yu quite liked this “tool person,” but Tang Shu didn’t seem to have much affection for her anymore. However, Tang Shu cared about her reputation and hadn’t completely cut ties, so for the past two years, they had been acting like close “plastic” sisters whenever they met, a performance so convincing that an Oscar-winning actress would be moved to tears.
Qiao Yu stopped in her tracks, hitting her head in frustration. “Oh, how could I have forgotten such an important thing!”
Meng E was speechless. After all these years, I’ve never seen you remember it once.
“I’ll go get her a surprise right now.”
“But it’ll take some time to get a surprise ready. I might as well just take the afternoon off.” With that, she took out her phone and messaged her homeroom teacher.
Meng E figured she just wanted to skip class, but she had no proof.
Qiao Yu’s rich mother had donated two buildings to the school, so the homeroom teacher had no intention of objecting. She approved her request without hesitation and even asked if half a day was enough time. With the permission slip, Qiao Yu sat in the car and casually ordered a small birthday cake for Tang Shu for 19.9 yuan with free delivery. Bored, she scrolled through Song Wanying’s schedule on her phone, looking for the next opportunity.
Suddenly, her gaze stopped directly on a post.
Song Wanying is competing with a rival celebrity for an endorsement with a company under the Tang family?
Well, isn’t that a coincidence?!
Qiao Yu’s eyes narrowed, and she grinned, showing a perfect set of pearly white teeth. Her dearest “Tang baby” was the Tang family’s eldest daughter, after all.
She quickly canceled the 19.9-yuan cake that didn’t even have a delivery fee. Qiao Yu swiftly opened another store and, without a blink, ordered a custom-made birthday cake with a diameter of a full two meters. She sent a photo to Meng E. “I bet she’ll be so surprised when she sees my cake that she’ll cry tears of joy.”
Meng E rubbed her eyes in disbelief. “?”
You must be crazy today.
Jiang Mei unintentionally glanced at Meng E’s phone screen. Seeing the beautiful and intricate flower cake, Jiang Mei weakly lowered her eyes. That must be for Song Wanying, right?
The thing she couldn’t have, Song Wanying got so easily.
If I were a little more dazzling, would she turn to look at me twice?
Qiao Yu needed a favor, so she naturally put her heart and soul into planning a birthday surprise for Tang Shu.
Tang Shu was all dressed up today in the latest season’s luxury gown, with accessories costing over a million yuan. Plus, she was already naturally beautiful, so she stood out from the crowd like a crane among chickens, making everyone else look dull. Tang Shu was in a wonderful mood. She thought to herself that even if Qiao Yu stripped naked and ran through the crowd, she still wouldn’t be able to steal her thunder today.
She elegantly swirled the red wine in her hand and beckoned her personal bodyguard. “Go bring me the cake…”
Before she could finish, there was a sudden commotion at the door. Tang Shu turned around in confusion, her gaze filled with questions.
A dozen or so sexy, fiery Alphas filed in and, in the blink of an eye, were standing in front of her, yelling with all their might, “Happy 18th birthday to the best, kindest, most beautiful, and talented Tang baby in the world, Qiao Yu’s Tang baby! May all your wishes come true!”
The entire hall instantly went silent. Curious and bewildered eyes fell on Tang Shu. Her eyelid twitched uncontrollably. Are they complimenting her or Qiao Yu?
She had seen shameless people before, but never this shameless.
However, with so many people watching, Tang Shu couldn’t be rude. After politely saying thank you, the group of Alphas immediately moved aside, revealing a gigantic flower cake that ten people couldn’t circle, and a festively dressed Qiao Yu. “Surprise!”
Tang Shu’s mouth twitched. Are you offering a tribute?
But she couldn’t deny that she felt good. The shocked and envious expressions of the others pleased her.
Qiao Yu stood behind the cake, feeling very gratified. Without giving Tang Shu time to react, she lunged forward and intimately linked arms with her. “Darling, it’s your birthday today. You absolutely can’t cry, or you won’t look as good as me.”
Tang Shu came to her senses and glared at her impatiently. “Thank you and your whole family.”
Qiao Yu smiled sweetly. “Don’t be so formal with me. We’re sisters; it’s what I’m supposed to do.” She smiled at the ashen-faced Tang Shu. “Do you like this surprise? Look at this cake, and look at these dozen or so beautiful Alphas. They’re all just for you.”
“Later, after we all leave, you can do whatever you want with them. Tonight, you’re their owner. If you tell them to go east, they wouldn’t dare go west. If you tell them to stand, they wouldn’t dare sit.”
Tang Shu looked at the Alphas who looked like they wanted to pounce on her and tear her apart. She gritted her teeth and asked, “Am I, an Omega, going to have fun with them, or are they, a bunch of wolves, going to have fun with me?”
To her surprise, Qiao Yu seriously thought for two seconds. “If you have other preferences, I won’t stop you, but…” Qiao Yu patted her waist. “Young people should be careful with their bodies. Don’t go too crazy; you might end up on the news.”
Tang Shu was so angry she couldn’t speak. How could a person so good-looking have such a mouth?
Ignoring Tang Shu’s gritting teeth, Qiao Yu pulled her to the side. “Darling, since I’ve so meticulously planned all these surprises for you, shouldn’t you…”
She rubbed her fingers together, her smile fawning. “Help me with a small favor?”
Tang Shu’s face was blank. Qiao Yu smiled shyly. “Don’t worry, it’s just a tiny, insignificant favor. With your status and position as the Tang family’s eldest daughter, who would dare not give you face if you asked?”
Tang Shu liked to hear that. She instinctively straightened her back. “Tell me about it.”
Qiao Yu didn’t hold back. “I heard that your family’s company is looking for a brand ambassador. I think Song Wanying is a good fit. Why not just settle on her?”
Company matters? Tang Shu instinctively shook her head. “No, I can’t get involved in company affairs…”
Before she could finish, Qiao Yu’s eyes widened, and she jumped up. “Why can’t you? You’re the Tang family’s eldest daughter! The most precious heiress in the capital! Not to mention deciding on a mere brand ambassador, the entire company will be yours one day. You’re just exercising the power that’s rightfully yours in advance!”
Qiao Yu tried to confuse her. “Didn’t you say you were the most cherished child in the family? Were you lying to me?”
Tang Shu immediately scoffed. “Of course not. I wouldn’t bother lying about something like that.”
Qiao Yu was silent for a moment, then she slowly looked up. “Then are you saying you’ve lied to me about other things?”
Tang Shu choked, guiltily turning her head away. “Since you’re asking so sincerely, and since I’m in a good mood today, I’ll help you this once.” Afraid that Qiao Yu would take advantage of her, she immediately emphasized, “Just this once. No more after this.”
With her goal achieved, Qiao Yu’s face blossomed into a smile. “I’ll listen to you. How could I not listen to you?”
Watching Qiao Yu smile like a cat that had stolen a fish, Tang Shu belatedly felt that something was off. But seeing everyone taking photos of the birthday cake Qiao Yu gave her and posting them on social media, she felt that seeing Qiao Yu today wasn’t so unlucky after all.
But she still didn’t trust Qiao Yu, so she stressed again, “After I help you with this small favor, we’re even.”
Even? How is that possible?
But on the surface, Qiao Yu remained obedient and harmless. “Okay, okay. You know what kind of person I am…”
As she was speaking, someone suddenly walked in through the main entrance.
A gentle head of black hair was elegantly styled in a bun, exuding an indescribable softness and affection. Coupled with her striking and well-defined features and skin as white as snow, she appeared both gentle and aloof. Qiao Yu’s eyes lit up. She stared intently at the person. “That’s an Omega, right?”
Tang Shu subconsciously replied, “You don’t know her? That’s Lu Shangyi.”
Lu Shangyi was a well-known figure in the capital. More than her beauty, her fate was what made people feel for her. Over thirty years ago, the Lu family welcomed a pair of beautiful twin dragon and phoenix babies. The older brother, Lu Shenghui, was exceptional, a rare talent, and the younger sister, Lu Shangyi, was equally brilliant and intelligent.
When they became adults, they both got into the top university in the world. They were about to return and take over the family business together when Lu Shangyi was involved in a bizarre and tragic car accident the day before her return.
Lu Shangyi was in a coma for a full two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Lu received so many critical condition notices that their hands went numb. Even the doctors said she couldn’t be saved and advised them to prepare for a funeral. It was Mrs. Lu’s refusal to accept reality and her demand for the hospital to continue the rescue that brought her back from the brink of death.
But even though she was saved, Lu Shangyi’s body became extremely weak. After she finally regained consciousness, she differentiated into an Omega just two days later. She completely lost her eligibility to compete with her brother for the company’s inheritance and was reduced to a useless “pretty vase” waiting for a business marriage.
Many people at the time had assumed Lu Shangyi would differentiate into an Alpha. Her unexpected differentiation into an Omega left many sighing in regret for a long time.
If Lu Shangyi had been an Alpha, the world might have seen the exciting spectacle of two tigers fighting for dominance in the Lu family.
Qiao Yu felt a pang of heartache. “Hey, you’re telling me she’s a delicate and helpless Omega, and I’m a strong and powerful Alpha. She’s unmarried, and so am I. Isn’t this what they call a match made in heaven?”
Tang Shu gave her a speechless look and walked toward Lu Shangyi. Lu Shangyi rarely went out, so she had never imagined she would come especially for her. Tang Shu nervously tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, and a red blush spread across her cheeks. “Sister Lu.”
Lu Shangyi nodded and handed her the beautifully wrapped gift. “Happy birthday.”
Tang Shu blushed and her heart fluttered like a deer. She didn’t come back to her senses until Lu Shangyi was far away.
That is, until Qiao Yu’s voice startled her.
“Oh my gosh! My mind is filled with Sister Lu’s chest, her waist, her legs. I can’t stop myself from wanting to have a steamy night with her. But she’s so tragic and pitiful, and her body is so weak. I should be cherishing her.”
Qiao Yu felt ashamed of her beastly thoughts. “I’m such a piece of trash!”
Tang Shu turned back, and for once, she agreed with her. “You really are a piece of trash.”
