Summary
Synopsis:
After falling into the water, Ren Xuan transmigrated into a novel as a CEO in a “stand-in” (body double) romance story. To be resurrected, she must play her role perfectly and complete her assigned tasks.
In the original story, the CEO has an unattainable “White Moonlight” (first love) and finds the female lead to serve as her substitute. Guided by her System, Ren Xuan finds the female lead and saves her from various fires:
When a scumbag director tries to “casting couch” her, Ren Xuan saves her without hesitation.
When she is bullied by fellow actors on set, Ren Xuan steps in again…
Time after time, Ren Xuan diligently works on her mission target, even offering herself up in the process. However—in Ren Xuan’s eyes, the female lead can only be a substitute.
Eventually, the truth comes out…
Lin Shuyan thought the luckiest thing in her life was meeting Ah Xuan. That is, until she heard a rumor. With red-rimmed eyes, Lin Shuyan ran to her lover to complain: “Ah Xuan, everyone is saying I’m just a stand-in. I want you to tell them personally that I’m not…”
Because Ah Xuan adored her so much, Lin Shuyan was already plotting how to deal with the rumor-mongers—until she saw Ah Xuan slowly nod her head. Only then did Lin Shuyan understand the meaning of a thousand arrows piercing the heart.
Strange things happen: the original plot where the female lead gives up on love to focus on her career never arrives. Just as Ren Xuan is feeling confused, the “Little White Flower” female lead—whom she hasn’t seen in days—suddenly appears and pins her firmly to the bed.
“Why is Ah Xuan ignoring me? Did you find a better, more obedient stand-in than me?”
Ren Xuan: “Believe it or not, this was all just a script for your personal growth.”
The System (screaming in her head): “Host! You found the wrong stand-in! The person in front of you is the Villainess!”
Ren Xuan: “…”
