After Mistakenly Marking a Sickly, Yandere Beautiful Omega, I Was Forced Into a Flash Marriage - Chapter 2
Luo Yan was forced to catch the big villain, her entire body stiffening. She never expected things to turn out this way. Looking at the unconscious Omega in her arms with her flushed, abnormal complexion, Luo Yan was momentarily speechless. Why had she been so meddlesome? Why, of all people, did she have to save the villainous Xue Wu?
Setting aside whether saving her was the “right” thing to do, the key question was… did she even need saving? Probably not. Why did Luo Yan have to stick her nose where it didn’t belong?
To make matters worse, Xue Wu was truly in the middle of her “special period.” The pheromones she was emitting were so potent that almost every Alpha in the vicinity, regardless of gender, was being drawn toward them.
Being at the center of the storm, Luo Yan already felt an odd discomfort in the gland at the back of her neck. Now, stimulated by the Omega’s pheromones, it was a miracle she hadn’t done anything irrational yet.
Luo Yan struggled to maintain her sanity. Her grip on Xue Wu’s waist tightened, and she couldn’t help but notice how soft and fragrant the Omega was. Her waist was so slender it could be spanned by a single hand—it truly matched Ji Tong’s assessment of her being a “top-tier Omega.” But she was too thin—thin enough to be alarming.
Luo Yan bit her lip hard to clear her head. She released her own pheromones to drive back the Alphas who were hovering nearby, eager to snatch Xue Wu away. This show of dominance took nearly all her strength.
She realized with absolute certainty that she couldn’t stay here a moment longer; she had to get Xue Wu to a hospital immediately.
Furthermore, she needed to find out what was going on with her own body. What on earth was this “pheromone allergy” the original owner suffered from?
Luo Yan wasn’t foolish enough to shoulder everything alone. Recalling the original owner’s memories, she remembered there was a loyal assistant she could call upon. This assistant was a Beta, making her the perfect person to help.
In the car, Luo Yan urged her assistant, Zhao Xin, to drive faster. Xue Wu’s special period was hitting her like a freight train, and it seemed to be exacerbated by some kind of drug. The entire cabin was filled with a scent so sweet it was almost cloying.
Luo Yan had initially thought about giving Xue Wu a pheromone suppressant, but she worried about potential complications from mixing it with whatever drug was in her system. In the end, she held back and gave herself a dose instead—though it did very little to help.
Zhao Xin was indeed loyal. She didn’t ask how Luo Yan had gotten mixed up with Xue Wu. Instead, she observed Luo Yan’s state with deep concern: “Second Miss, is your pheromone allergy acting up?”
“Likely,” Luo Yan didn’t deny it. “But I don’t seem to have any extreme discomfort?”
While Luo Yan didn’t fully understand the allergy, the original owner’s memories suggested that this body was allergic to Omega pheromones. Contact with low-compatibility pheromones usually caused nausea, dizziness, dry heaving, and irritability. In severe cases, it could cause her to pass out.
Yet, while she was currently in agony, she wasn’t experiencing those specific symptoms. Instead, her body temperature was abnormal, the gland on her neck was heating up, and she felt an intense craving for the pheromones—even though she was sitting nearly a meter away from Xue Wu.
However, the thought of the original owner’s eventual miserable death at Xue Wu’s hands snapped Luo Yan back to reality. She moved even further away, practically pressing herself against the car door, hugging her small, pitiful self.
Zhao Xin, who was driving: “…”
The hospital was still some distance away. Although Luo Yan had injected herself with a suppressant, the pheromones inside her were surging violently. Despite her best efforts to contain them, they continued to seep out uncontrollably.
The pheromones in the car reached a saturation point where they were practically overflowing. Luo Yan bit her lip so hard it nearly bled.
Just as she was at her limit, a wave of sweet Omega pheromones flooded her nose. Luo Yan’s breath hitched. In desperation, she banged her forehead against the glass window to distract herself from the torment.
In that moment, she envisioned the original owner being tortured to death by the villain. Having finally gained a new life, she couldn’t afford to lose it so easily.
“Second Miss, we’ve arrived.”
Just as Luo Yan was spiraling through her thoughts, Zhao Xin’s voice sounded like a heavenly choir. Luo Yan was drenched in sweat, feeling as though she had just run a marathon. Her nerves remained taut, and she didn’t dare relax.
As she had been wrestling with her thoughts, she also realized the original owner had many memories of the villain. However, they weren’t memories of actual interaction—the two had almost no history. It was all the original owner’s one-sided… unrequited love for the villain.
Sigh. A crush on the big villain… Of all people to like, she had to pick the villain. The mere thought of it made Luo Yan snap wide awake. She planned to settle the villain in the hospital and then bolt immediately before she was recognized. Otherwise, she wouldn’t even know how she died.
Naturally, Luo Yan took her to a high-end private hospital. Considering Xue Wu’s condition… and for reasons she couldn’t quite name, she didn’t ask for help from the staff. She personally carried Xue Wu from the car to the emergency bed and saw her inside.
Once everything was arranged, she had Zhao Xin hold her IV bag while she went to check on Xue Wu, terrified that something else might go wrong.
On the bed, Xue Wu’s reaction had subsided; she was no longer in danger. The dosage of the “dirty” drug in her system was actually quite small. Now that she had been given a neutralizing injection, she was fine. According to the doctor… she just needed to sleep it off.
Luo Yan looked at the Omega on the bed, who was so thin her collarbones could practically hold water. She frowned slightly. In the book, Xue Wu hadn’t fully “blackened” yet, but her life was already miserable. She was being bashed by the entire internet for no reason, nearly lost her virtue to a dozen Alphas, her family treated her only as a money-making tool, and her “White Moonlight” refused to return. She was on the verge of a total breakdown.
To push such a fragile-looking Omega to do things that made even Alphas tremble with fear… one could imagine how heart-wrenching her suffering must have been.
Luo Yan sighed. Although she was still terrified of Xue Wu, seeing her look so vulnerable sparked a misplaced sense of pity. It was an unfamiliar emotion. This was the big villain… why did she need pity?
“Can we find her family’s contact info?” She couldn’t just leave her alone in the hospital; it was too dangerous.
“Second Miss, regarding Miss Xue’s family… it’s better if they don’t come.” Zhao Xin hesitated, unsure of how much to say.
Besides, didn’t her Second Miss love Xue Wu? Such a perfect opportunity in the car… and she didn’t take it? Even a temporary marking would create a dependency, ensuring Xue Wu would seek out Luo Yan next time, right?
Not to mention, they were already engaged. It was perfectly normal for a fiancé Alpha to help an Omega resolve such an “issue.”
Yet her boss had avoided Xue Wu like a mouse avoids a cat. Zhao Xin couldn’t understand her master’s bizarre behavior.
“…Then we’ll just keep watch in the room next door.” Luo Yan fell silent, remembering Xue Wu’s bizarre adoptive family. She sighed and had Zhao Xin lead her away with her IV bag.
The moment the door clicked shut, the “fragile” Omega on the bed suddenly opened her eyes. She stared at the doorway, her gaze dark with unreadable emotions as she recalled what had just happened. She said nothing, but she felt a flicker of curiosity. This little Alpha who saved her seemed… a bit different.
Downright stupid, actually.
She moved her body, and a sharp pain shot through her arm. Rolling up her sleeve, she saw a large bruise.
She studied it for a moment and snorted. She certainly gripped me hard enough.
The Next Day.
Luo Yan woke up early, her physical discomfort suppressed. The original owner indeed suffered from a pheromone allergy, which likely flared up at the club. Encountering Xue Wu afterward had turned that allergy into a “rut” phase, and she had nearly marked the woman.
Thank goodness she held back. A few days of rest should fix her right up.
Before leaving, she checked to make sure Xue Wu was alright. She wanted to leave with Zhao Xin immediately; she had zero desire to face a conscious Xue Wu.
However, the one thing she wanted to avoid happened anyway. Luo Yan had intended to just take a quick peek through the ward window to confirm she was okay and then flee. But just as she was about to look away, the fragile Omega on the bed suddenly opened her eyes and locked gazes with her.
Luo Yan met her eyes and felt an involuntary shiver. Help! Is the big villain going to kill me to keep me quiet?!
