After the Scumbag Alpha Tries to Save the Love-Struck and Flips Over (Quick Transmigration GL) - Chapter 25
Lu Yan gave her a kiss before releasing Shen Su, saying with a giggle, “Sister is so sweet.”
“Is that so?” Shen Su looked at the incredibly happy smile on Lu Yan’s face and smiled along, but a hidden worry rippled in her heart.
At this moment, Lu Yan’s eyes were full of joy; she didn’t notice the fleeting anxiety in Shen Su’s gaze at all. She linked her arm with Shen Su’s: “Sister, let’s go home!”
“Okay, let’s go home.” Shen Su rubbed Lu Yan’s head, suppressing her complicated thoughts.
Rather than worrying about the future, it was better to cherish the moment.
They still lived in their original apartment, mainly because it was close to Jing University, and Mu Mu was there—moving him would be quite a hassle.
Because of the recent busyness, they hadn’t seen Mu Mu for a few days. The moment they stepped through the door, Mu Mu affectionately pounced on them.
“Sister, you always say I’m like a little kitten. Actually, you were quite like one during your rut—so clingy.” Lu Yan squatted down to pick up Mu Mu, talking with a grin while stroking the kitty.
Shen Su actually blushed; she had never been with an Omega during a rut before, so how could she have known she’d be that clingy!
Lu Yan put Mu Mu back in his cat bed, walked over to Shen Su, and hooked her pinky finger: “Don’t be shy, Sister. I just happen to like the ‘clingy and sticky’ type.”
Shen Su recalled eating the sugar man earlier, laughed softly, and pinched Lu Yan’s cute cheek: “Open your mouth, let me see if the sugar is stuck to your teeth.”
“There’s definitely none left!” Lu Yan still obediently opened her mouth wide.
Shen Su took a look and nodded: “Indeed there isn’t, but we should still go brush our teeth first.”
“Whatever Sister says.” Lu Yan said with a smile.
Mu Mu restlessly ran out of his bed and followed behind the two of them.
At first, they were quite serious about brushing their teeth, but while washing their faces afterward, Lu Yan’s little hands started to get restless.
Then, with a click, Mu Mu was shut out of the bathroom.
He lifted his paw, sniffed himself in confusion, and then aimlessly went to lie on the sofa.
This time, however, the two came out relatively quickly. Lu Yan’s hair was wrapped in a towel.
“I’ll carry you to blow-dry your hair.” Shen Su carried Lu Yan toward the bedroom.
Lu Yan pouted: “If I’d known, I wouldn’t have played with the water just now…”
But she quickly cheered up: “Never mind, we have plenty of time. There’s no rush.”
Anyway, Shen Su was already hers.
Shen Su took out the hair dryer and gently helped Lu Yan dry her hair. When she encountered tangled strands, she patiently and slowly untied them instead of yanking them apart.
“Yan Yan.” After drying her hair, Shen Su called her name softly.
Lu Yan ran her fingers through her hair: “Hmm? What is it, Sister?”
“What do you want for your birthday? How do you want to spend it?” Shen Su handed the comb to Lu Yan and asked warmly.
Lu Yan’s birthday was on June 1st (Children’s Day), but ironically, her childhood had been spent amidst strict teachings and an endless cycle of interest classes and tutoring.
Lu Yan paused mid-comb: “As long as it’s a gift from you, I’ll like it. Can we spend my birthday at home?”
“Of course.” Shen Su nodded, then asked with some confusion, “But why did you ask like that?”
Lu Yan’s eyes dimmed as she put down the comb: “In the past, my birthdays were always organized by my parents. They would invite many people I didn’t even know—likely their business partners.”
“Yan Yan.” Shen Su pressed a light kiss on the corner of Lu Yan’s slightly reddened eye. “It’s your birthday, you’re the boss. I’ll listen to whatever you say.”
“Really? You’ll listen to everything?” Lu Yan blinked.
Shen Su nodded: “Really. I trust Yan Yan won’t make things too difficult for me?”
“How could I have the heart to make things hard for Sister?” Lu Yan hugged Shen Su and tackled her onto the bed.
Shen Su rarely observed Lu Yan from this angle and couldn’t help but look closer: “Actually, back in high school, you were very cute too, as pretty as a doll. But for some reason, everyone thought you’d differentiate into an Alpha, probably because you were so outstanding in every aspect.”
“And if I really had differentiated into an Alpha, what would Sister have done?” Lu Yan propped her hands on Shen Su’s pillow, looking at her with burning eyes.
Shen Su knew that saying some sweet words now would make Lu Yan happy, but that kind of happiness would only be superficial. She needed to have a deeper exchange with Lu Yan, so she spoke truthfully: “Then we would probably have remained rivals forever.”
“Couldn’t we even be friends?” Lu Yan pouted.
Shen Su reached out and pinched Lu Yan’s cheek: “I’d like to be, but would you have let me?”
Lu Yan huffed: “I wouldn’t want to be friends with you either!”
“Hmm? Then if you were an Alpha, what would you want to do with me?” Shen Su’s thumb traced Lu Yan’s facial contour, slowly sliding down with a gentle, seductive motion.
“Kiss you.” Lu Yan kissed Shen Su, kissing her lover with incredibly intense passion.
Lu Yan didn’t maintain this posture for long; she was soon flipped over and pressed down by Shen Su.
“If the person who came to you that day wasn’t me, what would you have done?”
Lu Yan was dazed from Shen Su’s kisses when she suddenly heard this sentence. She froze for a moment: “Which day?”
“The day of your first heat.” Shen Su buried her face in Lu Yan’s neck and took a deep breath.
She knew what the answer would be, but she couldn’t help asking.
“Sister, do you feel insecure too?” Lu Yan stroked Shen Su’s hair and asked softly.
“Yes.” Shen Su kissed Lu Yan again, pressing those unspeakable secrets deep into her heart, sinking into pleasure with Lu Yan to forget all worries.
The next day, it wasn’t until she was fully awake that Shen Su remembered Lu Yan still hadn’t said what she wanted.
After dropping Lu Yan off at school, Shen Su drove around the city looking for inspiration for a birthday gift. She saw a fresh-looking DIY shop by the road, parked the car, looked at the sign, and walked in.
She spent the whole afternoon making a fluffy kitten keychain and a chibi-style character drawing. The drawing depicted her and Lu Yan eating those sugar men.
After the clerk packed them up, she put them in the trunk and went to the mall. Shen Su bought a lot of things—a necklace, a bracelet, and a dress. Additionally, she pre-ordered a limited-edition bag to be delivered directly to the address she provided.
Since Lu Yan hadn’t specified what she wanted, Shen Su prepared a variety of gifts, assuming she’d like at least one of them. Moreover, this was likely the only birthday she’d spend with Lu Yan.
Thinking of this, Shen Su went to a flower shop.
The owner was a young Beta girl in a white dress who asked with a calm smile, “Hello, do you need any flowers? Who are they for?”
Shen Su looked around and said, “They’re for my… wife. Can I place a standing order for flowers for the next eighty years?”
The girl was stunned for a moment: “But my flower shop might not stay open for that long.”
“I will provide the funding to ensure this shop won’t close. If you change locations, you can use my funds for that too. As long as you can deliver flowers to this address every June 1st.” Shen Su wrote down the address of the apartment where she and Lu Yan usually stayed on a slip of paper and handed it to her.
The girl took the paper and asked in confusion, “Why don’t you just open a shop yourself? With your wealth, I’m sure you wouldn’t lack people to manage it.”
“I know.” Shen Su smiled gracefully. “But I really like the decoration of your shop. I can see you put a lot of heart into it. So, can you agree to my request?”
The girl nodded.
“Thank you.” Shen Su looked at the blue irises in the shop. “Those ones. Please deliver them to that address on June 1st.”
“Alright.” The girl paused, looking at this VIP client with curiosity. “And for the years after that? Will you tell me what you need then, or…?”
Shen Su said, “Any flowers that express love are fine. It’s best if they are slightly different every year; you can do mixed arrangements.”
“Understood.”
Shen Su gave a slight nod and left. The girl watched the beautiful Alpha walk away and couldn’t help but smile, calling her Omega girlfriend: “Honey, I practically hit the jackpot today! I met a huge client. I’ll tell you the details when I get home!”
Back in her car, the System unusually contacted her proactively.
System: Host, are you really not considering an earlier “death-exit”? I feel the timing is ripe. You just got married, and the feelings are at their most intense.
Shen Su: …You’re quite skilled at being heartless.
System: I learned from you, hee-hee!
Shen Su: Let’s wait a bit longer. There are too few memories right now.
Shen Su understood the timing was right, but she wanted to wait—at least until Lu Yan accompanied her through one of her own birthdays. Her birthday was in December, which meant there were still six months.
When Lu Yan’s birthday arrived, Shen Su gave her a morning kiss and drove her to school: “Yan Yan, Happy Birthday. I’ll give you your gift tonight, okay?”
“Okay, I’m looking forward to it.”
Lu Yan didn’t listen to a single word in class that day; her head was filled with Shen Su. She didn’t even notice when someone sat down in the empty seat next to her after class.
“What are you thinking about?” Ruan Zhenzhen waved a hand in front of her eyes. “Here, birthday gift. Lu Yan, Happy Birthday!”
“Thank you.” Lu Yan took the gift with a smile. She hadn’t seen Ruan Zhenzhen for a while, so she asked, “How have you been lately?”
“Working hard, preparing to stay at the school for further studies.” Ruan Zhenzhen paused, then suddenly remembered something. “Speaking of which, I was quite surprised. I didn’t expect Shen Su to go abroad for studies. I thought she’d stay in the country to manage her family’s enterprise.”
“What?” Lu Yan froze. “Studying abroad?”
Ruan Zhenzhen froze too: “You didn’t know?”
Her heart sank. Crap, it seems I’ve done something bad.
