After the Scumbag Alpha Tries to Save the Love-Struck and Flips Over (Quick Transmigration GL) - Chapter 9
“But what if I love the house and the crow in it?” Lu Yan’s words were almost a confession. She paused mid-sentence and quickly covered herself, “I like your hand, and your hand is part of your body, so…”
Lu Yan swallowed the rest of her words.
Shen Su didn’t dwell on it. There would be plenty of time.
She hummed softly and said with a smile: “Then I can take a slight loss. I can’t help it, who told you to be my fiancée?”
Lu Yan let out a soft “Hmph.” She was about to say something when she heard a meow from outside the door.
“What’s wrong with Mu Mu? Is he hungry?” Lu Yan got up from the bed, wrapped herself in a bath towel, and walked toward the door.
Shen Su casually replied: “He’s probably worried about you.”
She stared at Lu Yan’s legs beneath the bath towel. The area near her thighs was a little red, and other places also bore the marks she had left.
Looks like I’ll have to get someone to send over some long pants tomorrow.
She actually wanted to see Lu Yan in a skirt, but that might not be possible right now.
Lu Yan crouched by the door and rubbed the kitten’s head: “What’s wrong, little one?”
The kitten rubbed against her arms, looking extremely adorable.
Lu Yan picked up the kitten and glanced at its food bowl, which still had kibble in it.
Lu Yan recalled Shen Su’s words and stroked the kitten’s head: “Don’t be scared, don’t be scared. I’m fine!”
She carried the kitten back to its bed, and seeing it safely curled up, she returned to the bedroom and slipped back under the covers.
Lu Yan was actually a bit tired after all that commotion. She hugged Shen Su tightly and quickly fell asleep.
Shen Su looked down at Lu Yan, who had fallen asleep in less than five minutes, and sighed softly.
If only she could fall asleep this fast.
Shen Su had always suffered from insomnia, had very light sleep, woke up easily, and had many dreams. This problem hadn’t gone away after entering the new world.
Perhaps because of the comforting pheromones, Shen Su fell asleep faster than usual tonight.
But she had a dream.
She dreamt of Lu Yan staring at her with gloomy eyes, like a venomous snake flicking its tongue: “Didn’t I tell you? You have to stay with me forever…”
Lu Yan held a dog leash in her hand.
“Wasn’t I good to you? I gave you everything. Why did you lie to me?”
The Shen Su in the dream wanted to scream, but when she opened her mouth, no sound came out. She turned and ran to the balcony.
The ground seemed very far away. She had a premonition that if she jumped from here, she would surely die.
Footsteps sounded behind her, and Shen Su’s heart gradually sank.
Just as Lu Yan lunged forward, Shen Su quickly dodged. Lu Yan, inexplicably, fell off the balcony.
Shen Su held onto the low railing and looked down. Many people were gathered downstairs, and she could vaguely see blood flowing on the ground.
The color of the fresh blood stung her eyes. She snapped awake, sitting up in bed.
It was dawn, and the first ray of morning sun fell onto the floor through the gap in the curtains.
“What’s wrong?” A chill crept into the blanket with Shen Su’s movement. Lu Yan rubbed her eyes and asked groggily.
The image of Lu Yan’s face from the dream sent shivers down Shen Su’s spine, but when she turned to look at the drowsy Lu Yan, she felt that it was just a dream.
Such a cute, love-struck person. Dreams must be the opposite of reality, right?
“Nothing, just had a nightmare.” Shen Su feigned calm, got out of bed, put on her slippers, and walked into the bathroom to wash her face.
Lu Yan watched Shen Su’s figure disappear around the corner, gripped the edge of the blanket, and pursed her lips. It was the first time she had seen that expression on Shen Su’s face.
What kind of nightmare was it?
Shen Su leaned her hands on the sink, looking at herself in the mirror, and repeatedly told herself that it was only a dream.
The setting of the dream was unfamiliar, and the person in the dream was also unfamiliar. Dreams were fake.
After calming down for a moment, Shen Su came out of the bathroom with a normal expression. She glanced at Lu Yan, who was getting dressed, paused slightly, then looked away, her expression complex, and said in a low voice: “I’ll go make you breakfast.”
Lu Yan paused in the act of dressing, then softly hummed in acknowledgment.
Shen Su steamed a package of frozen soup dumplings and warmed some milk. After preparing the meal, she placed it on the dining table, just as Lu Yan came over with Mu Mu in her arms.
Seeing Lu Yan’s adorable way of “teasing” the kitten, Shen Su couldn’t help but chuckle: “Come and have breakfast. I’ll drive you to school.”
“Okay, but my class today is in the afternoon, so we don’t need to rush.” Lu Yan wanted to spend more time with Shen Su.
She sat down opposite Shen Su, cupped her face in her hands, and blinked at Shen Su.
Shen Su raised an eyebrow: “I have to go to school this morning to submit my graduation documents. I’ll be back soon, wait for me.”
“Then I’ll go with you,” Lu Yan quickly said. “I want to stay with you.”
What a clingy kitten.
Mu Mu, who had been put down by Lu Yan earlier, walked over and affectionately rubbed against Shen Su’s ankle.
It was soft and comfortable, if only slightly itchy.
Shen Su nodded: “Alright.”
After breakfast, the two returned to the school, their arms linked the entire way.
It wasn’t strange for girls to walk arm-in-arm, but Lu Yan intentionally stole a kiss from her in public.
“Are you sure you still don’t want to make it official?” Shen Su laughed softly. She glanced at the people passing by and whispered close to Lu Yan’s ear: “I see a few people have taken pictures of us. If we don’t announce it soon, we’ll be forced to.”
The Shen family, to which Shen Su belonged, was a prominent and well-known family in the capital. The Lu family was not far behind, though they had been declining in recent years.
But a starved camel is bigger than a horse. Shen Su and Lu Yan’s every word and action would always draw some attention.
It was believed that news of the marriage alliance between the Shen and Lu families would surface soon.
“Give me your phone.” Lu Yan held out her hand. Shen Su didn’t hesitate and calmly handed her phone to Lu Yan.
Lu Yan used both their phones to post identical messages on social media.
Just two simple words: Official Announcement.
They also included the “family of three” photo they took yesterday.
Soon, people started asking questions in the comments and even messaging them privately.
Most of them were their high school classmates.
Lu Yan replied to them one by one using Shen Su’s phone.
“Yes, we’re getting married soon.”
“Correct, Lu Yan is my fiancée.”
“The wedding? The date hasn’t been set yet, but it’s being planned.”
“…”
After replying to most of the messages, Lu Yan handed the phone back to Shen Su, who merely glanced at it before putting it away, her calmness surprising Lu Yan.
“How can you be so calm? Aren’t you afraid I saw something?” Lu Yan asked curiously. Her eyes darted, and she said coyly, “Like your ambiguous flings?”
Shen Su smiled and said: “Where do I still have ambiguous flings? I only have one fiancée.”
Seeing that Shen Su wasn’t taking the bait, Lu Yan asked jokingly: “Then aren’t you afraid I replied with something that would socially kill you?”
