After Transmigrating as a Scum Alpha, I Became the Sucker on a Dating Show - Chapter 4
Jiang Shiluo didn’t know how to cook. At home, the housekeeper handled the meals; when she was working, she mostly ate takeout. To her, every word on the grocery list was recognizable, but she struggled to match the characters to the actual produce.
Fortunately, the vegetables in the supermarket were labeled, and everything looked fresh. Just as she finished her selection and prepared to find Tang Chi, she suddenly heard someone call her name from behind.
“Shishi.” The man’s voice sounded affectionate and obsessed, yet it carried the cold, slimy sensation of being coiled by a venomous snake.
The moment Jiang Shiluo turned around, a figure lunged toward her. The cameraman, quick as a flash, shoved her out of the way. She stumbled and nearly fell, finally steadying herself as she looked at the lunging man in a state of shock.
The man had slightly long hair, with slanted bangs half-covering his eyes. He was dressed in a high-end black suit, groomed so meticulously he looked like a prospective groom.
Having missed his mark, the man’s expression flickered with a second of fury and resentment, but he quickly calmed down. He stood straight, faced Jiang Shiluo, and adjusted his suit. Putting on a polite facade and a smile he thought was handsome—but was actually eerie—he said, “Shishi, hello. I’m your fan. I’ve loved you since you debuted. I’ve watched all your movies, but I never had the chance to meet you in person. I’m sorry, I was just too excited. I’ve wanted to hug you for a long, long time. Shishi… can you give me a hug?”
His tone was humble and gentle, almost pleading, yet it betrayed a trace of madness and relentless persistence.
Halfway through his speech, a staff member whispered to her that the man might be mentally unstable and urged her to leave.
Jiang Shiluo realized something was wrong. Fearing she might provoke him, she nodded in response while surreptitiously backing away.
But the man noticed.
His eyes narrowed dangerously, his jawline tightened, and he spoke through gritted teeth: “Shishi, are you running away? How could you run away? Do you know how much effort I put into seeing you? I spent so much money and so much time dressing up. Am I not handsome? Why won’t you give me a hug? Huh? You actually want to escape.”
As he spoke, his expression grew distorted. The pheromones of pickled cabbage suddenly flooded out. He glared at Jiang Shiluo with a sickly intensity, closing the distance step by step.
Under the overwhelming pressure of the Alpha pheromones, Jiang Shiluo’s legs instantly went weak. A beast seemed to be crashing around inside her body, forcing her to submit to the Alpha.
Before long, Jiang Shiluo’s body gave out, and she collapsed to the floor like a sacred lily falling from its branch. Her Omega pheromones instantly diffused into the air. The scent of lily wine mixed with the pickled cabbage, creating a foul, stinging stench of rotting waste.
The impact of the mixed odors made Jiang Shiluo’s stomach churn with nausea. Combined with the heat and pain in her body, her consciousness began to scatter.
She bit her lower lip hard, forcing herself to maintain a sliver of sanity, her hands trembling as she propped herself up.
Someone… please save me.
The cameraman was a Beta and couldn’t smell the pheromones, but seeing Jiang Shiluo’s state, he guessed what was happening. He set the camera down and stepped forward to stop the man.
However, the strength of an ordinary Beta was no match for an Alpha, who occupied a natural position of power. Seeing the cameraman rush him, the man floored him with one punch and followed up with a heavy kick to his stomach.
The man shot a disdainful glance at the Beta curled in a ball on the floor, then continued toward Jiang Shiluo. He took a deep breath, looking satisfied. “Lily wine… as expected of my goddess’s pheromones. It smells wonderful.”
Watching the man approach, a sudden chill rose from the depths of Jiang Shiluo’s soul, spreading to her limbs. Her body was currently a paradox of fire and ice: the heat was the biological inevitability of her Omega genes, but the cold was fear—fear from the very bottom of her heart.
She cast a pleading look toward the four female staff members standing nearby. They were all Betas and couldn’t smell the pheromones. Before the cameraman had rushed forward, none of them had noticed the situation. They wanted to help, but after seeing the male cameraman get taken down instantly, they were paralyzed with terror. They didn’t even catch Jiang Shiluo’s desperate gaze.
To preserve evidence, the cameraman had switched the camera to auto-mode before setting it down. The lens swiveled according to the movements in the frame. A pair of black leather shoes walked slowly across the screen, his pace leisurely, radiating a sense of absolute certainty.
With every step the man took, the fans’ hearts tightened.
The screen went blank for three seconds before being flooded by bullet comments.
[This has to be a ‘Sasaeng’ (stalker fan). Why won’t sasaengs just die? Get away from my goddess!]
[Sobbing… Shishi must be so scared.]
[This is all Tang Chi’s fault. Why act so aloof? Leaving my goddess here alone to face a freak.]
[Tang Chi, if you show up and save Shishi now, I promise never to mock or scold you again, boohoo!]
The man reached Jiang Shiluo and knelt on one knee. He pulled a beautifully packaged blue box from his inner pocket and opened it to reveal a five-carat blue diamond ring. Blue was Jiang Shiluo’s support color and her favorite.
The man looked extremely agitated, his hands trembling as he spoke with feigned devotion: “Shishi, did you know? I’ve loved you since the first moment I saw you. I swore I would marry you. Even if I have to use force, I will possess you.”
“I wanted to wait a bit longer to find you, but I missed you so much it made me sick. Knowing you were here today, I couldn’t wait any longer.”
“Shishi, marry me, okay? I’ll love you properly. I’ll treat you like a goddess on an altar.”
The man ranted passionately about his “love,” his eyes glued to Jiang Shiluo, making no effort to hide his madness and delusion. “Shishi, say yes, okay?”
Jiang Shiluo saw the man’s lips moving, but she only heard a static buzzing in her ears, like a radio with poor reception.
[Proposing to my Shishi? Who gave him the audacity?]
[Vomits…]
[Tang Chi… I’m begging you, please show up.]
Seeing no reaction from Jiang Shiluo, the man couldn’t resist reaching out to touch her. Previously, he could only look at her photos. Before coming here, he had taken a suppressant for his excitement to avoid losing control, but now he felt an impulse like a volcano about to erupt.
Despair crashed over her like a tide. Jiang Shiluo kept trying to back away, but she was at her limit.
Tang Chi… save me.
Just as the man’s hand was about to touch Jiang Shiluo’s face, a shout made him freeze.
“Get your filthy hands off her!”
The voice was suppressed and bone-chillingly cold.
The man looked up toward the source. Seeing it was a woman with narrow shoulders and a slender waist, he sneered and stood up to deal with this “meddling, stupid woman.”
Unexpectedly, the moment he stood, a powerful surge of pheromones forced his knees to buckle. With a “thud,” he crashed back to the floor.
The camera sensed movement; the lens swiveled to show a person in black cropped trousers, revealing a glimpse of sexy, pale ankles. The heels of white leather shoes “clack-clack-clacked” rapidly against the floor.
[!!! It’s Tang Chi! Tang Chi is here! That’s what she’s wearing today.]
[Tang Chi—no, Dad! You are my god!!]
[Can a female Alpha like Tang Chi beat this male Alpha?]
[To the person above: you probably haven’t differentiated yet. Alphas are divided into Top Alphas and Common Alphas. Tang Chi belongs to the rare Top category.]
[Waaaah Tang Chi, hurry and crush this freak!]
Smelling the nauseating stench in the air, Tang Chi instantly released soothing pheromones. The mint-lemon scent of a Top Alpha swept down like a tidal wave, provocatively suppressing the “pickled cabbage” Alpha while forming a protective shield to comfort the “lily wine” Omega.
Tang Chi stepped forward and kicked the man in the chest, sending the six-foot-tall male Alpha flying backward. Her mint-lemon pheromones poured out even more recklessly; the coolness of the mint turned to ice, weighing down on the man like a glacier, rendering him immobile.
In her original world, out of a lack of security, Tang Chi had mastered Taekwondo and grappling. Ordinary men were no match for her, let alone in this world where she had the added power of a Top Alpha.
Tang Chi wanted to continue teaching the Alpha a lesson, but from the corner of her eye, she saw Jiang Shiluo losing strength and falling. Like a petal dropping in the wind, Tang Chi swooped in and caught her steadily in her arms, giving the soft petal a home.
Feeling the temperature of the person in her arms, Tang Chi was startled. She quickly realized that Jiang Shiluo had been forced into an early heat.
As the rich scent of lily wine hit her nose, Tang Chi was momentarily dazed. She bit her lip; the pain brought her back to reality. She quickly took a suppression lozenge from her pocket and fed it to Jiang Shiluo.
As an outsider, Tang Chi wasn’t familiar with many things in this ABO world. Fearing that her own “rut” might be as unpredictable as a period, she always kept suppressants on her person just in case. She hadn’t expected them to be useful so soon.
She lifted Jiang Shiluo from the ground and carried her to a nearby isolation room. She tried to place her on the sofa, but the girl in her arms wrapped her arms around Tang Chi’s neck and refused to let go, her body trembling slightly.
Tang Chi could only sit on the sofa holding her, whispering soothingly: “It’s okay now. I’m here.”
As gentle as her voice was, the gaze she directed toward the outside was equally icy.
That social parasite out there… how should I deal with him?
