After Transmigrating as a Scum Alpha, I Became the Sucker on a Dating Show - Chapter 5
After soothing Jiang Shiluo, Tang Chi stepped out and walked straight toward the man. Suddenly, realizing something, she paused and pivoted in a different direction.
Seeing the owner of the white leather shoes getting closer and closer to the lens, the fans in the live stream were bewildered. The bullet comments flew by until the camera suddenly wobbled, and Tang Chi’s face was magnified on the screen.
[It really is Tang Chi!!!]
[Waaaah, I really wanted to see the heroic sight of my wife kicking that guy flying.]
[A word of advice to those who were dissing Tang Chi: pace yourselves, or you might find yourselves on the receiving end of the ‘Tang Family Shadowless Kick.’]
[Not dissing anymore, never again! I already set a flag: whoever saves Shishi today is my dad. Father Tang Chi is mighty!]
[Holy sh*t, even with a close-up like this, there isn’t a single blemish! Her visuals are so strong, they hit this visual-stan right in the heart.]
[I’m raising the banner for Tang Chi! See who dares to be her enemy—one move and you’re down!]
[Tang Chi is looking left and right, spinning around so much I’m getting dizzy. What is she actually trying to do? [Bittersweet Smile]]
Unable to find the camera’s off switch, Tang Chi simply placed the camera face-down against the wall on the floor.
What was about to happen next was not suitable for viewing.
Tang Chi checked the cameraman’s injuries and found they weren’t serious. She walked over to the four female staff members, snapped her fingers to snap them out of their daze, and gave a dazzling smile: “Four beauties, could you help me carry that ‘brother’ over to the lounge?”
The girl at the front flushed crimson. She nodded shyly and called the other girls to get moving. Tang Chi remembered something and called out to them with a smile: “Don’t let anyone come over and disturb us, okay?”
A clever-looking girl instantly realized what Tang Chi intended to do. She said righteously, “Don’t you worry, pretty sister. You go right ahead and teach that pervert a lesson; we’ll cover for you.”
Hearing her say this, the other three girls nodded heavily in agreement.
The corners of Tang Chi’s mouth curled up. She raised an index finger to her sexy lips. “Shh.”
The four girls hurried to follow suit: “Shh.”
Once the area was cleared, Tang Chi began unbuttoning her cuffs and rolling up her sleeves as she walked unhurriedly toward the man.
She squatted beside him, picked up the ring he had dropped, and examined it with a sneer. “Tsk. Buying a fake piece of junk to propose? In your eyes, is your goddess only worth the price of a roadside stall ring?”
For someone obsessed and extreme, nothing triggers them more than questioning their “sincere heart.”
As expected, the man lunged at her recklessly, his expression distorted and hideous, like a demon from hell.
Tang Chi dodged nimbly. The man hit nothing but air and slammed into the ground with a loud “thud.”
Tang Chi looked down at him, her sharp, hawk-like phoenix eyes now appearing as if they were dipped in ice. She spun the ring between her fingers, then let her grip loosen. The ring dropped, making a “ting” sound on the floor.
She nonchalantly stepped on the ring, squatted back down, and said with a fake smile, “I’ll give you a chance. We’ll both retract our pheromones and have a proper fight, how about it?”
Simply beating up someone who was acting like a dead fish wasn’t satisfying enough.
Turning a fish that dared to flop around into a dead fish on a chopping block—now that was interesting.
“You’d better keep your word.” The man’s expression eased slightly, though his murky eyes were full of suspicion.
Tang Chi smiled thinly. “Of course.”
As she spoke, she retracted her pheromones as promised.
Feeling the suppression lift, a flash of cunning crossed the man’s eyes. He lunged with a grin, swinging a fist at Tang Chi’s face.
If he couldn’t win with pheromones, he relied on brute force. He was a grown man; there was no way he was weaker than a woman.
Tang Chi had anticipated this move. She dodged fluidly, grabbed the man’s hand with a counter-grip, seized his hair with her other hand, and slammed her knee hard into his abdomen. The man instantly curled up like a shrimp. Before he could even let out a yelp, Tang Chi struck again, hitting a vital spot. This time, the man let out a full-blown wail.
The man tried to retreat, but Tang Chi held his hair in a vice-like grip, leaving him immobile.
Tang Chi leaned into the man’s ear and said viciously, “If I killed you right now, it would count as self-defense. But even if you hadn’t attacked me first, I have plenty of ways to make you wish you were dead!”
She followed up with a knee to his jaw. As his head snapped back, she slammed her knee into his chest, forcing him to straighten his back, then finished with a kick to his stomach that sent him flying.
The man, who had only just managed to stand, was now crawling wretchedly on the floor. A mouthful of blood sprayed out, landing right on that ring.
The pain on his face was distorted, but the look he gave Tang Chi was full of resentment and malice, as if he wanted to tear her apart and eat her whole.
Tang Chi walked over with disdain and stepped on the man’s right hand, grinding it down finger by finger. Each word she spoke was like an ice pick: “This was the hand that wanted to touch Jiang Shiluo just now, wasn’t it? You dare touch someone I intend to protect? If you’re tired of living, just say so! I’ll be happy to oblige you.”
The man’s agonized howls echoed through the area, mournful and wretched. Tang Chi frowned, grabbed a few vegetable leaves from nearby, and stuffed them into the man’s mouth.
She leisurely took out her phone to call the police. She had just pressed “1” when the sound of hurried footsteps came from behind. She turned to see several people in uniforms and gas masks approaching.
An officer from the ABO Monitoring and Control Bureau stepped up to Tang Chi and showed his ID. “Someone reported a male Alpha maliciously releasing pheromones to harass an Omega. Are you the victim?”
“Yes,” Tang Chi said. “This man just tried to launch a sneak attack, so I gave him a little lesson.”
The officer glanced at the man, who looked like a dead fish, then looked back at Tang Chi in disbelief. “You’re the victim?”
Wasn’t this “Omega victim” a bit too… strong?
It was his first time seeing an Omega beat a male Alpha into such a state while remaining completely unscathed.
Seeing his expression, Tang Chi gave a radiant smile. “I’m the Alpha victim. The Omega victim is in the lounge. Oh, and there’s a Beta victim as well. Tsk. You’ve got the whole ABO set; this guy is absolutely irredeemable.”
The Bureau Officers: “…”
The man on the ground certainly didn’t look like a good person, but he had been beaten so badly that the Bureau couldn’t jump to conclusions based solely on one person’s word.
The leader waved his hand, and two men immediately stepped forward to carry the man away. He said to Tang Chi, “I’m afraid I’ll have to ask you to come to the station to give a statement. The other two victims need to come as well.”
Jiang Shiluo was lying on the sofa. Once her strength returned, she wanted to see what was happening. Just as she sat up, she heard footsteps outside.
She immediately lay back down. Her Movie Queen-level acting was displayed to perfection; in an instant, her eyes became misty and the corners turned red, making her look as though she had just finished crying.
The door to the isolation room opened. Tang Chi walked in, and seeing Jiang Shiluo looking at her with such an aggrieved expression, her heart inexplicably tightened.
If she hadn’t rashly suggested splitting up earlier, Jiang Shiluo wouldn’t have been harassed by that pervert.
She knelt on one knee by the sofa and asked softly, “Are you feeling better? Are you still hot?”
When they were here earlier, Jiang Shiluo kept saying she was hot, mentioning that Tang Chi’s body felt cool and refusing to let her leave.
Sunlight streamed through the window, dappling Tang Chi. Seeing the genuine concern on the Alpha’s face, Jiang Shiluo felt a moment of daze. She felt as though she were seeing a light—a light that belonged only to her, capable of breaking through the darkness deep within her heart.
Seeing no reaction, Tang Chi frowned. “What’s wrong?”
Jiang Shiluo snapped out of it, her dark eyes deep as a pool. She said weakly, “Why don’t you try for yourself and find out?”
Before Tang Chi could react, Jiang Shiluo pulled Tang Chi’s head toward her.
The moment their foreheads touched, Tang Chi felt a jolt from the heat. It was only then that she realized what Jiang Shiluo was doing.
They were extremely close; their breaths intertwined in the empty space between them.
Tang Chi’s eyes widened. Jiang Shiluo blinked innocently, her long lashes brushing against Tang Chi’s, sending a shiver through Tang Chi’s eyelids.
Too close…
Tang Chi tried to pull away, but Jiang Shiluo wouldn’t let her go.
“Well? Is it hot? I still feel a bit uncomfortable.”
Warm breath puffed against her face. Tang Chi subconsciously looked at Jiang Shiluo’s mouth—her sexy, full lips were cherry-red, with a tiny mole on the bottom lip. Jiang Shiluo pursed her lips slightly, and the mole caught the light, making it impossible not to stare. It was incredibly alluring.
Those lips… must be very easy to kiss, right?
Realizing what she was thinking, Tang Chi sprang back like a coiled spring, her earlobes turning a traitorous shade of crimson.
Looking at the pure and innocent-looking Jiang Shiluo, Tang Chi felt like crying. It wasn’t that she was weak; it was just that the heroine was too good at flirting!
“What is it?” Jiang Shiluo asked.
“Nothing.” Tang Chi cleared her throat. “The heat is gone. Let’s go; the Bureau wants us to give statements.”
Tang Chi’s natural body temperature was on the lower side, while Omegas in this world tended to be warmer, so she figured Jiang Shiluo’s temperature… was probably normal now.
Before she could be sure, the Omega who had just stood up swayed slightly, like a weak willow in the wind, looking as if she might fall at any moment.
Tang Chi forgot her embarrassment and hurried to support her. “Is something still wrong? Should I take you to the hospital first?”
“No.” Jiang Shiluo sat back on the sofa. “I’m fine. I’m just a bit dizzy; I’ll be okay after a rest.”
Tang Chi frowned. When she had mentioned the hospital, a clear flash of dread had appeared in Jiang Shiluo’s eyes. She remembered that in the original book, because the Scum Alpha often beat her, Jiang Shiluo went to the hospital frequently and never resisted. Why did she suddenly seem so afraid of the hospital?
“I’m fine now,” Jiang Shiluo’s voice pulled her back.
Tang Chi set her doubts aside and nodded. “Okay. Let’s go then.”
After finishing their statements, they came out of the station. Tang Chi was about to ask if Jiang Shiluo wanted a ride back to rest when she saw Jiang Shiluo looking at her with a strange expression. Her fox-like eyes were slightly narrowed, but she didn’t speak.
Tang Chi felt her skin crawl under that gaze. She asked guiltily, “What’s wrong?”
Jiang Shiluo’s lips curved slightly. “The Bureau officers said that male Alpha’s jaw was dislocated and three of his ribs were broken. Did you do that… for me?”
