After Transmigrating as a Scum Alpha, I Marked my White Moonlight Omega - Chapter 7
Jiang Nan hid behind Lin Yu, poking her head out to look at Lin Wan. Instantly, she felt a powerful wave of “bloody aura” crash into her skull.
Good heavens, just how many times has she been in close contact with the killer?
Lin Wan leaned lazily on her hand, twirling the curled ends of her hair with her fingers. Her lips curled into a slight smirk, and her amber pupils curved as she gave Lin Yu a long look before noticing Jiang Nan behind her.
“Lin Yu, since when did your taste become so unique? To actually like an Alpha like this… Tsk, how rare.”
Hearing this, Jiang Nan felt an instant surge of annoyance, but she didn’t dare speak up to retort.
It’s definitely not because I’m a coward! Definitely not!
Lin Yu stepped forward, ignoring Lin Wan’s words. She simply tossed the inheritance distribution documents from the court onto the desk and spoke coldly.
“Take this money and learn to behave.”
Lin Wan glanced at the documents. Having likely seen them already, she let out a sneer. She scrutinized Lin Yu with sharp, disdainful eyes. “What? You’re proud because the old man gave you more, aren’t you?”
Listening to the exchange, Jiang Nan felt like the dialogue was matching up with the plot of the book.
Lin Yu’s adoptive father—Lin Wan’s biological father—was a legendary Alpha who had spent years in the underworld before founding the Black Gang, eventually amassing massive wealth and power that few could challenge.
The book had little description of Lin Yu’s childhood, only stating that she was the daughter of one of Chairman Lin’s subordinates. That subordinate had sacrificed his life to save Chairman Lin during an operation, dying a hero.
Chairman Lin then took Lin Yu in as his adoptive daughter, even adding her to the family register under the surname Lin.
Therefore, Lin Yu took Chairman Lin’s accidental death very seriously and was determined to catch the person who murdered her adoptive father.
Lin Yu stepped closer, staring at her with icy eyes and an undeniable air of authority. “Did Dad’s death have anything to do with you?”
Upon hearing this, the smirk on Lin Wan’s face froze. Her eyes flickered for a second, then she suddenly burst into laughter. She slowly lowered her legs from the desk and stood up to face Lin Yu, teasing her.
“He was my dad, Lin Yu… If there’s anything suspicious about his death, it should be related to an ‘adoptive daughter’ like you, shouldn’t it?”
Standing to the side, Jiang Nan couldn’t stand Lin Wan’s sarcastic expression. With anger she’d been holding back for a long time, she blocked Lin Yu and retorted loudly.
“Listen here, ‘Big Sister,’ the bloody aura on you is so thick I can barely keep my eyes open, yet you’re still standing here talking nonsense…”
Looking at Jiang Nan who had suddenly popped up, the expression on Lin Wan’s face began to crack. Her eyes grew fierce, the veins at her temples throbbed, and she shifted her gaze back to Lin Yu.
“Is this the ‘Spirit Medium’ the rumors say you’ve been seeing in private?”
Lin Yu met her fierce gaze fearlessly and nodded. Her lips curled into a distinct smirk as she raised an eyebrow. “What? Are you scared?”
Lin Wan didn’t rush to reply. She narrowed her eyes at Jiang Nan, reached out to pat her cheek, and gave a fake smile. “Little kid, knowing too much isn’t always a good thing.”
Jiang Nan mimicked her wife’s fearless and (self-proclaimed) cool tone. She crossed her arms and teased with a punchable expression.
“What? I even know you’ve been ‘doing it’ with an Alpha who has a mole on their inner thigh…”
Lin Wan’s hands at her sides instinctively balled into fists. But glancing at the combat-heavy Lin Yu and knowing she couldn’t win a fight, her fists relaxed. She ground her teeth, calculating in her mind.
I really want… to kill this meddlesome spirit medium.
As Jiang Nan walked out of the company building, thinking of Lin Wan’s frustrated face made her feel exceptionally refreshed. Her footsteps even felt lighter.
Since she’s my wife’s enemy, of course she should be thoroughly crushed!
Lin Yu got into the car with her and turned to look at her, pouting helplessly. “You said upstairs that Lin Wan had a ‘bloody aura’…”
Jiang Nan hummed an out-of-tune tune and nodded, explaining with a certain tone. “Yeah, the bloody aura on her is very thick. It must be caused by frequent contact with the killer.”
Just as she was about to continue explaining, a sharp pain suddenly flashed through her brain. Her pupils constricted. She lunged forward excitedly and patted the shoulder of the driver. “Big Brother, go, go, go!! Someone is coming to kill us from behind!”
Before Lin Yu or the driver could react to Jiang Nan’s shout, a powerful impact hit the rear of the car. The shock sent Jiang Nan’s small frame slamming into the front seat. She immediately curled up in her seat, trembling, terrified that some accident would end her life.
After feeling the collision, Lin Yu sat in the car with a face growing colder. The driver showed no panic either, seemingly used to such sudden dangers in the underworld.
“Boss, what do we do?”
Lin Yu turned her head and looked at several people getting out of the trailing car. They were holding clubs and sharp weapons, charging straight toward them.
“Yue Qian and the others will be here soon. We just need to stay in the car.” Her voice was as cold as if it had been soaked in freezing water.
Jiang Nan was about to sit up to see what was happening when she saw a tall man use an iron bar as thick as an arm to violently smash against the fragile glass window in front of her. The sound was deafening.
“Ahhh! Wife! The window is going to break! What do we do?!”
Hearing this, Lin Yu’s brow furrowed slightly. She reached out and gripped Jiang Nan’s wrist. Taking advantage of a moment when the crowd outside relaxed, she kicked the door open with force, knocking down several dangerous elements holding iron bars.
Seeing herself being pulled out of the car by Lin Yu, Jiang Nan witnessed those blind iron bars swinging past her eyes up close. The sounds of fighting broke out everywhere, and her little heart was instantly traumatized.
Yue Qian and the others arrived, joining the fray immediately after getting out of their cars. Jiang Nan was held firmly in Lin Yu’s embrace. Feeling the wind whistling past her ears, she peeked her eyes open just as someone shouted:
“That spirit medium is Lin Yu’s woman! Quick!”
Jiang Nan: What the hell! Why are they coming for me?
Lin Yu’s gaze was as sharp as an ice blade. Her fighting became even more ferocious, her breathing growing heavy. In a moment of distraction, however, she loosened her grip on Jiang Nan.
Jiang Nan was instantly sent flying by the momentum, tumbling to the side with a moderate-sized scream.
The attackers noticed Jiang Nan was away from Lin Yu and tried to rush forward to take her, but Lin Yu intercepted them with lightning speed. Swish, swish, swish—the fools fell to the ground one by one.
Jiang Nan: Wife is so cool! I love her!
Once the attackers were finally driven off, the area was a mess of debris from the fight.
Lin Yu reached out, looking down at Jiang Nan who was still sitting on the ground in a daze. She raised an eyebrow, her voice softening slightly. “The ground is dirty. Get up already.”
Jiang Nan looked up at Lin Yu. Positioned against the light, Lin Yu seemed to be covered in a thick soft-focus filter; her indifferent gaze actually seemed to have softened into something affectionate.
She placed her hand in Lin Yu’s palm and was suddenly pulled up by a powerful force, falling straight into the other’s embrace.
The Photinia fragrance swirling around her nose made her heart rate go wild. She couldn’t help but nuzzle her soft chest against her.
Ah, so satisfying.
Lin Yu’s heart had already been racing from Jiang Nan’s sudden pounce, but when that fuzzy head started nuzzling her chest, the ambiguous atmosphere evaporated instantly. Holding back her temper, she grabbed Jiang Nan by the back collar to pull her back to a safe distance.
Before Jiang Nan could savor the moment further, Yue Qian rushed forward to report: “Boss, they’ve all run away. Should we pursue?”
Lin Yu glanced in that direction, her face returning to its usual indifference. “Pursue.”
Hearing this, Jiang Nan nodded in agreement. “Your boss is right! The bloody aura on those guys was even stinkier than on Lin Wan. They might be the actual killers from back then!”
Hearing this news, Lin Yu was about to ask Jiang Nan what else she saw.
But before she could speak, Jiang Nan’s entire body went limp and she fell backward. In her haste, Lin Yu reached out and caught her by the waist, pulling her into her arms.
She looked helplessly at the fainted Jiang Nan, shook her head, and couldn’t help but complain: “Delicate.”
After saying that, she placed her into the car with surprisingly gentle movements.
Lin Yu looked at her sleeping profile—her features were delicate and soft, yet her brow held a hint of Alpha-specific heroism.
She suddenly realized that this reckless, thieving, “scum” Alpha was actually a bit easy on the eyes.
“After we get home, call a doctor. Give Jiang Nan a proper check-up.”
So dizzy… is this caused by insufficient divine power?
When Jiang Nan opened her eyes, she saw Yue Qian and a doctor in a white coat standing by her bed. Her fingers twitched slightly, and she felt the needle moving in the back of her hand. She frowned and hissed in a breath.
Yue Qian noticed Jiang Nan’s movement and immediately stepped forward to comfort her gently. “Perverted Spirit Medium, don’t move. You have low blood sugar. The doctor is treating you.”
Jiang Nan: Eh? So it wasn’t caused by insufficient divine power.
After the doctor gave Yue Qian a few instructions, he nodded politely and left the room.
Yue Qian helped Jiang Nan sit up slowly, holding a bowl of steaming, pitch-black medicine that had been prepared by the bed.
Jiang Nan took one whiff and caught a sour, bitter scent. Her body instinctively recoiled. “Didn’t you say it’s low blood sugar? I should be eating chocolate! Why do I have to drink such bitter medicine?”
Yue Qian’s eyes crinkled as she smiled, using a spoon to stir the sour-smelling brew.
“This is a supplement the Boss specifically asked the doctor to prepare for you. After you drink it, maybe you’ll be like us—able to take on ten people at once!”
Jiang Nan: Is it because my wife looks down on me for being a weakling with zero combat power?
But… she didn’t want to fight! She just wanted to be a “salted fish” who clings to a powerful thigh!
