After Transmigrating as a Scumbag Alpha, the Reborn Omega Always Wants to Cling (GL) - Chapter 23
“What do you want?” Su Ziqin said coldly. She would never forget what her life was like in the Su family.
Li Qinghui wasn’t angered by Su Ziqin’s cold attitude. Instead, she said gently, “Ziqin hasn’t been home in a while. Come back for a visit.”
Su Ziqin’s eyes narrowed, and a hint of a dark glint flashed in her amber eyes. “Didn’t you already sell me to the Fu family? Why would I go back?”
Su Ziqin felt that there was more to Li Qinghui’s words. The last time she was asked to return to the Su family was to marry Fu Qingyun. What was it this time?
“Ziqin, what are you saying? We’re a family. I was looking for the household register to transfer your hukou the other day and found the small dolls that Aunt Bao made for you when you were little,” Li Qinghui said with a hidden meaning.
When Su Ziqin heard the words “Aunt Bao,” her expression finally changed. She had left the Su family as soon as she could and had taken almost nothing with her.
She had lived a Cinderella-like life in the Su family. It was Aunt Bao, the old maid, who had raised Su Ziqin. When Su Ziqin turned 18, Aunt Bao passed away, and Su Ziqin never went back to the Su family.
Thinking of how Aunt Bao had taken care of her like a mother, Su Ziqin felt conflicted.
Li Qinghui didn’t hear Su Ziqin’s voice for a while and knew that Su Ziqin was hesitant. She then dropped another bombshell. “Speaking of Aunt Bao, she was so pitiful, without any children. Oh, and do you remember the fat cat she raised?”
“What’s wrong with Gugu?” Su Ziqin asked nervously. Gugu was a stray cat that Aunt Bao had raised. After Aunt Bao’s death, Su Ziqin had taken the cat out of the house and given it to a family that was willing to adopt it.
Li Qinghui was right. Aunt Bao had no children, and the cat was her only companion. At the time, Su Ziqin could barely take care of herself, so she couldn’t possibly raise a cat.
“Oh, don’t worry. That cat is so smart. For some reason, it ran back on its own a few days ago and won’t leave Aunt Bao’s old room,” Li Qinghui said, pretending to be troubled.
Su Ziqin’s amber eyes darkened. Her fingertips on the phone turned white. “And? If you don’t want to keep it, just get rid of it.”
Li Qinghui quickly said, “We wouldn’t dare. That thing has a huge temper and won’t let anyone touch it. It’s scratched several people in the past two days. I thought you were more familiar with the little thing and wanted you to come back and see it. If not, we’ll have to call animal control.”
“Don’t you dare touch it,” Su Ziqin said through gritted teeth. “I’ll come back and take it away later.” This was Aunt Bao’s only memento, and Su Ziqin didn’t want Gugu to have a bad ending.
Animal control officers were cruel to animals. It was hard to imagine what would happen to Gugu if it fell into their hands.
“That would be great,” Li Qinghui said cheerfully. “Bring Qingyun with you. We can also handle the transfer of the household registration.”
Su Ziqin hummed in response. “I’ll tell her. I’m hanging up.”
After the call ended, Su Ziqin’s mood was complicated. It was clear that the Su family was up to something. Gugu probably didn’t run back on its own. It was very likely a trap set by the Su family and Su Yingying again.
But Li Qinghui was right. Her household registration was still with the Su family, and she would have to deal with it sooner or later.
Looking at herself in the mirror, Su Ziqin said distractedly, “Fu Qingyun has really changed a lot.”
In the previous life, to better control her, Fu Qingyun had marked her and then gone directly to the Su family to transfer her household registration. This time, she hadn’t made a move.
Thinking of how the Alpha had so formally talked about divorce with her, Su Ziqin laughed at herself. “It looks like she really wants a divorce.”
Shaking off these complex thoughts, Su Ziqin dialed Fu Qingyun’s number.
As usual, Fu Qingyun answered quickly.
“Hello.”
Her voice was as cold as ever. Su Ziqin put away her other thoughts and said sweetly, “Sister Fu, are you guys still busy?”
Fu Qingyun replied calmly, “We’re okay. Not busy.”
“Zhiqian suggested we have a get-together tonight. Can you tell Senior Chen Xi?” Su Ziqin said.
Chen Xi was right beside Fu Qingyun. Fu Qingyun immediately told him about the get-together.
“Okay, I told him.”
Hearing Fu Qingyun’s voice on the phone, Su Ziqin’s heart started to beat a little faster. She covered her restless chest. “Sister Fu, will you come too?”
“You want me to come?” Fu Qingyun thought it was a gathering for their startup partners, and it might be inappropriate for her to go.
Su Ziqin’s face, which had just returned to normal, was now flushed again. She said a little petulantly, “Just forget it if you don’t want to go.”
“I have something to take care of, so I might be a little late tonight,” Fu Qingyun replied. Chen Xi’s chip project could be used in phones. Fu Qingyun didn’t like the outdated technology here, so she didn’t want to wait too long to go back to using smartphones.
Hearing Fu Qingyun say that, Su Ziqin suddenly felt a little empty. After a moment of silence, she hummed softly. “Okay.”
“Then I’ll hang up now.” Fu Qingyun hung up the phone.
The feeling of emptiness in her heart grew. Su Ziqin stared blankly into the mirror, listening to the dial tone.
“I forgot to tell her about going back to the Su family.” Then, Su Ziqin realized that her state of mind was a little off. “What’s the point of telling her? The scumbag is always busy!”
Su Ziqin shoved her phone into her pocket and walked out of the restroom. She had to go back to the Su family first.
As she passed the office, Su Ziqin told Xu Zhiqian that she was going home for a bit and then took the elevator and left.
At the Su family’s villa, Li Qinghui was pulling Su Yingying, and the cunning in her eyes was hard to hide.
“Is it true? Did Master Song really say that as long as we let him have some fun with Su Ziqin, he’ll collaborate with us?”
Su Yingying impatiently pulled her arm away. “I’ve told you a hundred times. I’ve already talked to Song Chen.”
“Oh, I’m just so happy. We’ve been at this for so long, and we’re finally seeing some results.” Li Qinghui pushed the fruit bowl on the table toward Su Yingying.
Su Yingying gave her a disdainful look. “It’s because you’re both too stupid. Did you talk to Su Ziqin? Song Chen will be here soon.”
Li Qinghui patted her chest. “Yes, I did. I lied and told her that wild cat had run back, and Su Ziqin got all anxious. But why did you tell her to bring that ugly thing, Fu Qingyun?”
Hearing Li Qinghui describe Fu Qingyun like that, Su Yingying frowned. “Who’s ugly? Fu Qingyun isn’t ugly. Mom, I want a new partner.”
Seeing her expression, Li Qinghui said with some concern, “Don’t tell me it’s Fu Qingyun?”
“What do you think?” Su Yingying’s eyes flashed with a dangerous light.
This time, Li Qinghui was even more certain of her daughter’s intentions. “As long as you’re happy. Fu Qingyun liked you anyway. If you hadn’t looked down on her, you wouldn’t have had to marry Su Ziqin off.”
At that moment, the villa door opened, and Song Chen walked in, looking smug.
“Miss Su, Auntie,” Song Chen said, extending his hand politely.
Su Yingying shook his hand and took something from his palm.
Li Qinghui greeted him warmly, and the three of them began to plot how to separate Su Ziqin and Fu Qingyun once they arrived.
One by one, their vicious plans unfolded in the living room of the Su family’s villa.
When Su Ziqin pushed open the door of the disgusting villa, she was met with Li Qinghui’s overly enthusiastic face.
“Ziqin, you’re back? Where’s Qingyun? Why didn’t she come with you?”
A hint of suspicion flashed in Su Ziqin’s eyes. She didn’t understand why Li Qinghui was so fixated on whether Fu Qingyun would come or not. “She’s busy. I can handle the household registration on my own, right? Where’s Gugu?”
Li Qinghui saw this and smiled, taking her hand. “Follow me. She’s in Aunt Bao’s old room.”
“Don’t touch me. I’ll go by myself.” Su Ziqin hated being touched by her and shook off her hand, walking toward Aunt Bao’s room.
Watching Su Ziqin’s back, Li Qinghui smiled triumphantly, hoping Su Ziqin would like the big gift she had planned for her.
“Oh, Ziqin, don’t blame me. I had no choice,” Li Qinghui said, making the helpless words sound like a matter of course.
“Oh, right. I have to tell Yingying that Fu Qingyun didn’t come.” With that, Li Qinghui sent a text message to Su Yingying, who was in a bedroom on the second floor.
Meanwhile, Su Ziqin pushed open the wooden door to the maid’s room. The layout was the same as she remembered. After Aunt Bao left, the room was left untouched, and no one else used it.
This was where Su Ziqin used to spend most of her time as a child. The Su family didn’t have a room for her. This small maid’s room was Su Ziqin’s home, but now that Aunt Bao was gone, she had no home.
On the small bed lay the little doll that Aunt Bao had made for her as a child. Su Ziqin reached out and touched the worn-out doll, feeling a pang in her heart.
Su Ziqin’s eyes were a little red. She sniffled, wiped the tears from her eyes, and started to call for Gugu. “Gugu?”
No response. Su Ziqin bent down and looked under the bed. The little creature used to hide under the bed. “Gugu?”
“Ah!” Su Ziqin let out a surprised cry. She was suddenly grabbed from behind and slammed onto the bed.
Su Ziqin was a little dizzy from the fall. When she saw the person in front of her, the fear and disgust in her eyes were unmistakable. “Song Chen!”
She now knew that Gugu running back was all a lie from Li Qinghui. This was a trap set by the Su family, or more specifically, Su Yingying. She had known in her previous life that Song Chen and Su Yingying were in cahoots.
Song Chen stared at Su Ziqin, his eyes shamelessly scanning her body. He reached out and tore off Su Ziqin’s scent patch. “Haha, I was right. Fu Qingyun didn’t mark you at all!”
“Get off me!” Su Ziqin kicked him in the stomach. Song Chen groaned in pain, and Su Ziqin took the opportunity to jump off the bed.
Su Ziqin was about to run out the door, but Song Chen grabbed her hair and slammed the door shut with his other hand.
“Still trying to run?” Song Chen said viciously.
Su Ziqin’s eyes teared up from the pain in her hair. “Let go!”
“Do you think I’m stupid?” Song Chen leaned in close to Su Ziqin’s ear. “It’s fine if you don’t want it now. You’ll be begging me to mark you later.”
A hint of panic flashed in Su Ziqin’s eyes. “What are you going to do?”
“What do you think?”
As soon as Song Chen finished speaking, Su Ziqin felt a sharp pain as if her skin had been pricked. A cold liquid was injected into her body. She knew exactly what it was. Her pupils widened, and she started to struggle.
“Get away from me! This is illegal!” The Omega inducer was extremely harmful to an Omega’s body. Once injected, the Omega would go into a very strong heat and would need to be marked to be relieved.
Song Chen didn’t care. He became even more excited. “I’ll take you right here. Who’s going to find out?”
“No!” Su Ziqin cried out, her voice laced with tears. A cold, ascetic face flashed in her mind. “Fu Qingyun!”
Perhaps it was her desperate scream, but Fu Qingyun, who was in Chen Xi’s office, actually heard her cry. She immediately felt a bad premonition.
[Bigshot! The little villain is in trouble!] 12138 quickly projected the situation it had monitored into Fu Qingyun’s mind.
Fu Qingyun stood up. Without even saying goodbye to Chen Xi, she rushed to the garage and sped off.
