After Transmigrating as a Scumbag Alpha, the Reborn Omega Always Wants to Cling (GL) - Chapter 32
Li Zhengyin hadn’t expected to run into her ex just by helping Fu Qingyun find an agent for her brother.
Hua Yiqing was Li Zhengyin’s only ex and the past she least wanted to bring up.
Li Zhengyin tugged at her collar and said to Fu Qingyun, “I’m not feeling too well. I’m going to the restroom.”
Fu Qingyun noticed her discomfort and didn’t stop her.
“I’ll go check on her.” Hua Yiqing greeted her agent and followed Li Zhengyin out.
“CEO Fu, I’m sorry I’m a little late,” the agent said.
Fu Qingyun nodded at her and pointed to Fu Yanyang. “Sister Fang, please have a seat. This is my brother. He’s the one who wants to be a trainee.”
Fu Yanyang’s eyes lit up when he saw Sister Fang. “Sister Fang? Are you the ace agent, Fang Fang?”
Fang Fang saw that Fu Yanyang was handsome and spirited, and a smile appeared on her face. “Hello. You’ve heard of me?”
“Oh, Sister Fang, who hasn’t heard of your name? All the trainees you’ve managed are A-list stars,” Fu Yanyang said, his dog-like eyes shining.
A hint of bitterness appeared on Fang Fang’s face. “Why mention that? I’m not an ace agent anymore.”
Su Ziqin didn’t know much about the entertainment industry. She quietly asked Fu Qingyun, “Why would an ace agent go to a small company like Star Entertainment?”
Fu Qingyun leaned in and whispered in her ear, “After the A-list star she managed set up their own studio, they dumped her.”
Su Ziqin knew that the world was this realistic and didn’t ask any more questions.
Fortunately, Fu Yanyang was talkative and lively, and he quickly cheered Fang Fang up. The two of them were getting along very well.
However, Xu Zhiqian’s expression wasn’t as good. She couldn’t stop thinking about the Omega from before. She knew who that Omega was: Hua Yiqing, the triple-award-winning actress. Sister Zhengyin’s face changed when she saw her… and she used a very intimate name for Sister Zhengyin.
Su Ziqin saw her looking restless and whispered in her ear, “If you want to go, just go.”
Su Ziqin’s words gave Xu Zhiqian courage. Xu Zhiqian nodded at her and quietly left the room.
The teahouse was decorated like a garden, with many winding paths and pavilions. Even the smoking area was an elegant little pavilion.
Li Zhengyin’s eyes were empty as she looked at the rockery in front of her. Man-made spring water flowed down the rockery. The cigarette in her hand was slowly burning out, leaving only a piece of gray ash that scattered in the wind.
“Zhengyin.” Hua Yiqing stopped behind Li Zhengyin. There were only a few steps between them.
Hearing her voice, Li Zhengyin put out the cigarette and turned to leave. As she walked past Hua Yiqing, Hua Yiqing hugged her.
“Don’t go!” Hua Yiqing’s voice was tearful, her cheek pressed against Li Zhengyin’s back.
Li Zhengyin’s face showed a hint of anger. “Let go! Aren’t you afraid of getting into a scandal, you popular actress?”
Hearing her say that, Hua Yiqing’s face lit up. “Zhengyin, I’m not afraid. As long as you’re willing to come back, we can get married right now.”
“We’re over.” Li Zhengyin tried to break free from her.
Li Zhengyin used a lot of force. Hua Yiqing stumbled and finally managed to stand steady. “Zhengyin, don’t go! I can’t forget you.”
“Ha,” Li Zhengyin sneered, looking at the charming yet pitiful Omega in front of her. “If you can’t forget me, should I just wait for you? Don’t even think about it. What’s the point? Hua Yiqing, when we were over, we were over. You have your career, and I have my life. Isn’t it better if we don’t bother each other?”
“No!” Tears shimmered in Hua Yiqing’s eyes. “You can’t leave me. You promised to be with me for life!”
“Miss Hua, you’re joking. How can you take sweet words from a teenager seriously?” Li Zhengyin sneered.
Hua Yiqing blurted out, “I took them seriously!”
“I took what you said seriously too,” Li Zhengyin said, turning around, her anger and resentment gone. “Let the past be the past. It’s been almost ten years. To be honest, I resented you. You said you didn’t want a scandal, so I kept my distance from you. But what about you? You were sleeping with others.”
“Zhengyin, I’m sorry. I was also…”
Li Zhengyin cut her off. “Don’t say you were forced. I’ve known you since college. I know what kind of person you are. No one can force you to do something you don’t want to.”
“I wanted a better life. I felt bad that you had to squeeze into a 20-square-meter room with me. I wanted a better future for us. Is that wrong?” Hua Yiqing’s tears couldn’t be held back anymore and finally flowed down her cheeks.
Li Zhengyin waved her hand, tired of this excuse. At that time, she was just a small company employee, and Hua Yiqing was a huge star. Not to mention Hua Yiqing’s betrayal, their statuses weren’t a good match. It was precisely because of this mismatch that Li Zhengyin saw this relationship clearly.
“That’s enough. I don’t want to hear it. It’s been almost ten years. Let’s just leave it at that. I’ve already moved on. If I hadn’t seen you today, I would have already forgotten that you even existed.”
“You’re lying.” Hua Yiqing got closer to her and tried to kiss her, but Li Zhengyin pushed her away. Hua Yiqing stumbled and fell to the ground.
“You’re crazy!” Li Zhengyin didn’t let her touch her. She gave her a look of disgust.
Hua Yiqing propped herself up, not wanting to look too pitiful. “I’ve been crazy thinking about you for so long. For all these years, I’ve tried all sorts of ways to find out about you and get close to you. When I heard you went to Yunshan, I signed a contract with Star Entertainment.”
“Damn it!” Li Zhengyin cursed. No wonder she suddenly showed up. “Stay away from me.”
Hua Yiqing laughed at herself. “What? You think I’m dirty?”
“The respected actress Hua has some self-awareness.” Su Ziqin had been standing next to Xu Zhiqian, listening for a while. Now she finally understood. Hua Yiqing and Li Zhengyin were exes, and Hua Yiqing was the one who betrayed Li Zhengyin.
“Who are you two?” Hua Yiqing didn’t have a good impression of the two Omegas who had suddenly appeared. But Su Ziqin was sitting next to Fu Qingyun in the private room. Even though she was unhappy, Hua Yiqing suppressed her discontent.
Su Ziqin raised an eyebrow and didn’t waste any words with her. She walked over to Li Zhengyin and said, “Sister Zhengyin, that was a long trip to the restroom. My wife is asking if you’ve decided on a place for dinner yet?”
Li Zhengyin knew that Su Ziqin was here to help her out. Fu Qingyun wouldn’t be so bored as to ask her such a small thing. “Little sister Su, you’re joking. I’ll discuss it with her later. She’s the one paying for dinner anyway.”
Seeing that Li Zhengyin’s mood had recovered, Su Ziqin also joked with her. “Then you have to choose a cheap place to save my wife some money.”
“Hmph, your wife isn’t short on cash,” Li Zhengyin chuckled.
Li Zhengyin looked at the silent Xu Zhiqian behind Su Ziqin. She walked over to her and patted her on the head. “You’re usually so lively. Why are you so down today?”
“Hmph, because you snuck out to smoke.” Xu Zhiqian turned her head away.
Li Zhengyin scratched her head and willingly handed the rest of the cigarettes and the lighter to Xu Zhiqian. “Here you go. Don’t be mad. I’ve willingly handed them over. My attitude is impeccable.”
Xu Zhiqian took the cigarettes and lighter and gave her a side-eye. “Since your attitude is so good, I’ll reward you with a follow-up appointment at the hospital next week.”
Li Zhengyin’s scalp tingled. She hated hospitals the most. They were too crowded… and she might even need an injection.
“Let’s go back, Sister Zhengyin. What if my wife comes looking for us? She might dock your bonus,” Su Ziqin said, glancing at Hua Yiqing’s pale face, a smile on her lips.
Li Zhengyin heard this and pulled Xu Zhiqian, saying to Su Ziqin, “Alright, I’m going back first.”
After they left, Hua Yiqing’s pitiful facade disappeared. She stood up. “Miss Su, you have no right to interfere in my business with Zhengyin, do you?”
Su Ziqin saw that she had stopped acting and also dropped her well-behaved persona. This woman’s departure from Li Zhengyin probably wasn’t as simple as Li Zhengyin thought. Maybe Li Zhengyin hadn’t seen her true colors back then.
“You’re joking, actress Hua. I’m not interfering with Sister Zhengyin’s private life. But my wife said that a talented person like Sister Zhengyin should be happy working at Yunshan, and your presence is making Sister Zhengyin unhappy.”
Hua Yiqing sneered, crossing her arms. “I’ve never heard of a company with such a humane policy. Are you making fun of me, Miss Su?”
“The way you say that, actress Hua, what you’ve heard is your business, and what Yunshan is like is my Fu family’s business.” Su Ziqin’s eyes were smiling, but her words were full of killing intent.
Hua Yiqing knew that Su Ziqin was threatening her, telling her that Li Zhengyin was now on the same side as the Fu family.
Su Ziqin didn’t want to talk to her anymore and turned to leave. Li Zhengyin seemed to have truly given up on this woman, but it was hard for that poor, jealous Xu Zhiqian.
“Can Miss Su’s words represent the Fu family?” Hua Yiqing said unwillingly to Su Ziqin’s back.
Su Ziqin’s steps stopped. She turned her head slightly and said, “Let me correct your title, actress Hua. Don’t call me Miss Su. Please call me… Mrs. Fu.”
After saying that, Su Ziqin walked away with elegant and light steps, leaving Hua Yiqing standing there with an ugly expression.
When Su Ziqin returned to the private room, Fu Yanyang and Fang Fang had finished talking.
Su Ziqin obediently sat next to Fu Qingyun and leaned in to ask, “Did you have a good chat? When is Yanyang going to join Star Entertainment?”
“Yanyang wants to spend a few more days with us before we go abroad,” Fu Qingyun said with a hint of a smile.
Su Ziqin frowned slightly when she heard this. “But summer break is already so short. Will it affect Yanyang’s progress?” This poor brother of Fu Qingyun’s was too clingy. He would act spoiled with Fu Qingyun whenever she wasn’t paying attention.
Sure enough, Fu Qingyun thought for a moment and felt that Su Ziqin made sense. So Fu Qingyun said to Yanyang, “Yanyang, it’s better for you to go to the company with Sister Fang tomorrow. Summer break is very short.”
Fu Yanyang’s head drooped, but he felt that his sister was thinking about him, so he reluctantly nodded. He glanced in Su Ziqin’s direction and saw her triumphant smile.
Goodness gracious, my sister-in-law is even getting jealous of me. But Grandpa said to make sure they have a baby as soon as possible, so he should probably bother them less.
“Okay, Sister. I’ll still go back to your place tonight. I’ll pack up and go to the company tomorrow morning.”
Fang Fang nodded after hearing this. She looked at the time on her watch. “It’s getting late. I’ll wait for Yanyang at the company tomorrow morning. Yiqing has an audition in a little bit, so I’ll be going now.”
“Goodbye, Sister Fang!” Fu Yanyang waved goodbye.
Fang Fang smiled at him and waved back. “See you tomorrow, Yanyang.”
After the person left, Fu Qingyun turned to the drowsy Li Zhengyin and asked, “Ms. Li, have you chosen a restaurant yet?”
Li Zhengyin stretched. “I have. We’re going to One Pub.”
Su Ziqin asked, “Is that a bar? What, Sister Zhengyin, do you want to get blackout drunk again?”
Li Zhengyin heard this and looked at the calm Fu Qingyun beside her. She shivered. “No, no, no. It’s a restaurant-bar that combines food, drinks, and entertainment.”
“That sounds nice. It’s suitable for young people,” Xu Zhiqian chimed in.
Fu Yanyang nodded. “I want to go, I want to go! It sounds so fun! Sister, I’ll have a drink with you.”
Su Ziqin and Li Zhengyin were both stunned at the same time. Li Zhengyin patted Fu Yanyang’s shoulder, her expression looking like she was looking at a dragon slayer. “Young people are truly remarkable.”
Xu Zhiqian quietly asked Su Ziqin, “Can yours hold her liquor?”
“She can drink ten of yours under the table,” Su Ziqin said with a smile.
“No way, I don’t believe that,” Xu Zhiqian said, giving Su Ziqin a side-eye. Xu Zhiqian couldn’t believe that someone who looked as calm as Fu Qingyun could hold her liquor so well.
Su Ziqin spread her hands. “If you don’t believe me, there’s nothing I can do. I want her to get drunk too.” If Fu Qingyun didn’t get drunk, Su Ziqin wouldn’t have a chance.
Xu Zhiqian immediately understood what she meant. She held Su Ziqin’s arm. “Girl, leave it to us. I don’t believe that I, along with Senior Chen Xi and the others, can’t handle yours.”
A hint of complexity appeared in Su Ziqin’s eyes. “Then please do your best.” She said that, but Su Ziqin didn’t think they would actually succeed.
Especially when that familiar scene appeared again at night…
Little Fox: It’s okay to help Xu Zhiqian with her rival. Please call me the enthusiastic little fox.
