Summary
Synopsis:
Shu Baiyu has transmigrated into an ABO school-life novel as a “cannon fodder” side-character Omega. As the ex-boyfriend who was dumped by the story’s main protagonist (Gong/Top), the original owner of the body spent his time causing constant trouble for the main lead.
Upon arriving, Shu Baiyu stares at his reflection—specifically his long, “emo” bangs that cover his eyes. He remains silent and indifferently decides to keep the outdated, non-mainstream hairstyle. However, to ensure the main couple ends up together as the original plot intended, he stays vigilant against Lu Xingzhou, the cannon fodder Alpha who is supposed to be in love with the main protagonist (Shou/Bottom).
During a banquet, Lu Xingzhou encounters Shu Baiyu, the person to whom he is engaged.
The Omega seems to be on bad terms with his younger cousin, who is currently staying at his home. Just as the cousin prepares to fake a fall into the pond to frame him, Shu Baiyu jumps in first.
Pulled from the water soaking wet and looking wretched, Shu Baiyu says to the crowd: “I don’t blame you.”
The cousin: “…”
Having witnessed this farce, Lu Xingzhou prepares to leave early. But as he turns the corner by the restroom, he catches the faint scent of pheromones. There, he sees the “victim” of the previous scene. Beneath those long bangs, Shu Baiyu’s eyes are dark and cold as he pins another Alpha to the floor, beating him up.
He speaks:
— “He’s a piece of trash, and the people he hires are even worse.”
— “I’m beating you today; I’ll beat him next time.”
All of Lu Xingzhou’s friends know he has a “fickle and unfaithful” Omega fiancé. Word is that this Omega not only ignores Lu Xingzhou but also relentlessly pestering other Alphas. They swear to teach the guy a lesson to get justice for their bro.
However, when they kick the table and grab him by the collar, they are shocked to see bold, circular bite marks (mating marks) all over his neck.
The Omega looks utterly bored: “I’m not in the mood today. If you want a fight, find someone else.”
Just as they are about to mock him—asking who could possibly come to his rescue—they see their own “bro” walking in, carrying a jacket that reeks of this Omega’s pheromones.
Hearing Shu Baiyu’s words, Lu Xingzhou looks at them: “Are you looking for me?”
The friends: “…”
