After Transmigrating as the Scumbag Alpha in an Otherworld Novel, I Ended Up with the Villain - Chapter 1
The air was thick with the sweet fragrance of freesia. It was Su Xinge’s favorite scent. A searing heat spread continuously from the corners of her lips; though it was nowhere near the height of summer, she felt as if her body were on fire.
Then, something soft and wet entered her mouth. Su Xinge instinctively drank in the hard-won sweetness, as if doing so could quench the surging dry heat within her.
In her vision was a peerless beauty with a flushed face and tear-filled eyes, her skin so delicate and smooth it looked as if it would break at a touch. The lady’s brows were slightly knit, and her lush, red lips parted and closed as if voicing some unbearable distress. That bashful, hesitant look made one long to reach out and smooth the worry from her brow.
The sweet aroma grew more intense as the beauty beside her tossed and turned.
Su Xinge finally found the source of the strongest scent at the crook of the woman’s neck. Her lips slid slowly across the fair, slender throat before she began to lick and nibble lightly. The body in her arms shuddered violently at Su Xinge’s touch.
Feeling the slickness beneath her hands, Su Xinge became even more eager to crush this sweetness and merge it into her own body. The fair neck gradually turned crimson, looking as delicious as a gourmet delicacy.
The moment her teeth brushed against skin, Su Xinge felt as if she were adrift on a sea covered in freesias. Waves wrapped around her in layers, swallowing her whole, as her body rolled and drifted with the tide.
Let this beautiful dream last a little longer, Su Xinge thought in her half-awake state.
…
Su Xinge had stayed up half the night reading an apocalyptic novel. The first thing she smelled upon waking was the rich, sweet scent of freesia.
It was her most familiar and favorite scent; even her perfume had always been this fragrance. Moreover, this scent was identical to the pheromone of the main villain in the novel she had read last night.
Initially, Su Xinge had been delighted to find a character whose pheromones matched her favorite scent, but the further she read, the more uncomfortable she became.
The villain’s life story could be summarized in one word: Tragic.
And that tragic life was indirectly caused by a “cannon fodder” scumbag Alpha who shared the exact same name as Su Xinge.
If the villain’s ending could be described as tragic, then the scumbag Alpha’s ending required two words: Utterly horrific.
Relying on her status as an “Awakened,” the scumbag Alpha had acted like a tyrant in the survival base, flirting with everyone. She not only forcibly marked the yet-to-be-awakened villain, Lin Yuxuan, but also physically caused her to miscarry her unborn child after Lin Yuxuan was disfigured. Eventually, a successfully awakened and fully blackened Lin Yuxuan came for revenge. She broke the scumbag’s arms and legs and threw her into a swarm of zombies.
However, because she had been “Completely Marked” by the scumbag, Lin Yuxuan had to brutally remove her own gland. In this world, if an Omega is completely marked and cannot receive the corresponding Alpha’s pheromones, their body suffers permanent damage. In the apocalypse, even someone as powerful as an Awakened cannot afford worsening physical damage, as it means a lower chance of survival.
If the story had ended there, Lin Yuxuan might have had a decent conclusion.
However, thanks to her powerful Awakened physique, the scumbag Alpha didn’t die even after her limbs were broken. Instead, she awakened a second ability while in the zombie pile.
The scumbag grew wings and flew all the way back to the survival base, leaving a trail of blood. This trail led the zombie horde straight to the base, causing its total destruction.
With her dying breath, the scumbag Alpha flew back, exaggerated the story to the protagonist’s party, and finally bled out in the middle of the zombie siege.
Although the protagonists hated the scumbag, they believed that the thousands of lives in the base were lost because of Lin Yuxuan. They couldn’t swallow the resentment of losing the base they had worked so hard to build. Consequently, after escaping, the protagonists launched a series of retaliations against the villain. From then on, Lin Yuxuan walked the path of a villain, pitting her wits against the protagonists until the finale, where she was hacked into pieces and fed to zombies.
Su Xinge had felt deep sympathy for the villain. She was ruthless, sure, but Su Xinge liked her. Conversely, the scumbag Alpha with her name was barely human.
A wave of numbness in her arm snapped Su Xinge back from the plot. The thick, sweet scent still lingered, but she certainly didn’t have a habit of spraying perfume before bed.
Something was wrong.
“Mnh…”
A faint, airy moan reached her ear. Su Xinge’s eyes snapped open.
Immediately, her head spun, and she squeezed her eyes shut in pain. Her vision was pitch black, and she couldn’t distinguish between fiction and reality. Countless memory fragments overlapped and pulled apart in her mind.
A dark vortex of pain dragged at her. Fine beads of sweat broke out on her forehead, and her knuckles trembled uncontrollably.
After a long while, Su Xinge gasped for air, breathing in the sweet freesia scent that had once been so welcoming but now made her feel like she was falling into an ice cellar.
Su Xinge liked the villain—provided she hadn’t transmigrated into the cannon fodder destined to be tortured by her.
The warmth and sweetness of the delicate person in her arms made her dizzy. Thinking of her future fate of being turned into a “human trunk” with severed limbs, her hands and feet went cold.
Moreover, according to the plot, did the woman just get pregnant? If that dream last night wasn’t a dream…
Before Su Xinge could think deeper, the soft figure in her arms lifted her head.
Lin Yuxuan’s eyes were bloodshot, her lip bitten until it bled. She stared venomously at Su Xinge’s face—a face that remained unnervingly clean even in the apocalypse. Even being cut into a thousand pieces wouldn’t satisfy Lin Yuxuan’s rage. She never imagined she would be reborn back to the start of this nightmare.
Sensing movement, Su Xinge opened her eyes instinctively. She didn’t dare look the woman in the eye and shifted her gaze elsewhere, but what she saw sent shockwaves through her heart.
The exposed skin was covered in scars—some fresh and red, others old and grey-white. There were bruises clearly sustained recently. Worst of all were the injuries on her wrists; the skin had been slashed by something, and blood was still seeping out.
Su Xinge’s head throbbed. The original host really was a monster.
She didn’t dare look further and quickly helped Lin Yuxuan up. “Don’t be afraid. I… I’m actually not a bad person!”
Su Xinge found a red strip of cloth by the bed and carefully wrapped it around the bleeding wrist.
Lin Yuxuan leaned against Su Xinge, her eyes full of hatred. She let Su Xinge bind her wrist, while inwardly wishing she could wrap that same cloth around Su Xinge’s neck. However, the signals of weakness from her body reminded her that she was currently just a defenseless ordinary person. Like a lamb to the slaughter, she was at the mercy of fate. Acting rashly would only lead to a more miserable death.
In this world, there was only ever despair. Unfortunately for the world, she never believed in fate. Lin Yuxuan calmly calculated possible strategies, hiding the coldness in her eyes deeper and deeper.
After finishing the bandage and confirming the bleeding had slowed, Su Xinge said, “This will stop the bleeding for now. I’ll go to the trade zone later to swap for some disinfectant.”
Looking up, Su Xinge finally saw the woman’s face clearly.
Her seductive cheeks were flushed pink, and her exquisite features were partially hidden behind dark, curly hair—looking as fragile as a porcelain doll. Finally, she saw her eyes. The gaze felt physical, like a hidden knife—small, but terrifyingly sharp.
Lin Yuxuan remained indifferent to Su Xinge’s words. The plot was just a boring repetition. Once she was disfigured, this woman’s disgusting methods would only get worse. Thinking of the child she once carried, Lin Yuxuan bit her teeth harder.
Seeing Lin Yuxuan’s silence, Su Xinge’s heart sank. The quieter they are on the surface, the scarier they are when they snap. She couldn’t stop her skin from trembling.
As Su Xinge trembled, the sweet Omega scent in the room grew thicker. The temperature seemed to jump several degrees.
Lin Yuxuan’s body shuddered in response. Her pink cheeks turned a burning crimson. Her pale knuckles gripped the edge of the bed as she pressed her tongue against her teeth to keep from making a sound.
Under the double torture of body and mind, Lin Yuxuan thought of a solution: Removing her gland.
But why should she be the one to remove hers? Why not this piece of trash in front of her?
Lin Yuxuan looked at Su Xinge’s exposed neck. If she could just bite down, neither of them would have a good life. So what if she died? It wasn’t like she hadn’t died before.
The sweet scent continued to invade Su Xinge’s brain, screaming at her to possess the beauty before her. The string of her sanity was stretched to the breaking point.
Suddenly, a supple, snake-like softness wrapped around Su Xinge. Her mouth was met with wetness. The familiar yet strange sensation, accompanied by that sweetness, washed over her soul. The trembling beneath her skin set off alarm bells. Su Xinge jerked her head to the side, dodging this unexpected “seduction.”
Little did she know, this played right into Lin Yuxuan’s hands.
Lin Yuxuan buried her head in Su Xinge’s neck, the slight protrusion of the gland marking its location.
Just one bite…
No. A lingering shred of rationality told Lin Yuxuan this wasn’t worth it. One life for just a damaged gland? That wasn’t nearly enough.
Su Xinge forced herself to stand up. “What happened before was a total misunderstanding. I’m really not a bad person.”
On the bed, Lin Yuxuan lay on her side and smiled brilliantly, her bedroom eyes full of madness.
Su Xinge looked around the room. It had been intentionally modified—no blunt objects, and certainly no suppressants.
