After Transmigrating as the Villain Alpha, I Marked the Reborn Supporting Female Omega (GL) - Chapter 10
At this moment, Qin Cen felt increased wariness towards Liang Manqing. She was unsure to what extent being Liang Manqing’s stand-in would require her to compromise.
It was only in hindsight that Qin Cen realized she had agreed too decisively. Her initial private intention was to use Liang Manqing as an inhibitory drug, believing she wouldn’t suffer any loss, but now it seemed things weren’t that simple.
Qin Cen’s wound was on her back, and changing the dressing required her to take off her top.
Liang Manqing noticed Qin Cen’s hesitation. The hand holding the cotton swab paused. Since she was an Alpha and Qin Cen was an Omega, it seemed inappropriate for her to help change the dressing. There was no one else in the house who could help, so she would have to call a home doctor.
Qin Cen gripped the collar of her bathrobe with both hands, biting her lip tightly. She looked utterly helpless, making it seem as if Liang Manqing had bullied her.
Liang Manqing saw this and retreated outside the room door: “Miss Qin, I’ve called a home doctor. Bear with it for a little while.”
She called a home doctor for her?
A subtle look of surprise flashed in Qin Cen’s eyes. Could Liang Manqing be that kind?
The home doctor arrived quickly, in less than ten minutes. Liang Manqing specifically requested a female Omega doctor, and Qin Cen finally relaxed when she saw the doctor.
She had thought Liang Manqing was lying to her.
The night was quiet. Liang Manqing waited quietly downstairs. In a moment, the female doctor came down from upstairs: “The dressing has been changed, but the wound cannot get wet again, or it’s prone to infection.”
Liang Manqing took note. Before the doctor left, she asked: “Will her wound leave a scar?”
The female doctor: “The wound is small, and cosmetic sutures were used. If it heals well, it won’t leave a scar. Just make sure it doesn’t get wet.”
Liang Manqing sent the doctor off but still wasn’t reassured. She went online to search for effective scar-removal products and placed an order.
Having done all this, Liang Manqing prepared to take a shower. When she reached the bathroom door, she realized her change of clothes was in Qin Cen’s room.
Qin Cen should be asleep now, and Liang Manqing couldn’t disturb her again.
After debating whether to shower or not for a moment, Liang Manqing still entered the bathroom. She couldn’t stand sleeping without a shower. She decided to wear a bathrobe if she didn’t have a change of clothes, as there was no one else at home.
The bathroom was on the second floor. Liang Manqing tiptoed upstairs, rummaging through the bathroom but couldn’t find the bathrobe she wanted. There was only one small towel, barely enough to cover half her body.
Aunt Tao was good at organization and never allowed clothes to be scattered. All the clothes in the house were in the respective walk-in closets in the rooms. She couldn’t even find one stray piece of clothing.
Liang Manqing closed her eyes. Forget it. She decided she would find something in Liang Xue’s room after her shower.
The warm water streamed over her body, washing away her fatigue.
Liang Manqing couldn’t help but think of her sick grandmother in her original world. Her grandmother had been lying in the hospital for many years without waking up since she fell ill. Liang Manqing worked day and night to earn money for her treatment. It was precisely due to excessive fatigue from overtime that she transmigrated to this world.
Liang Manqing raised her hand to wipe the water droplets from her face. Although her current family was happier than her original one, her grandmother was her closest relative. She had to return to her original world as soon as possible to care for her grandmother without harming Qin Cen.
After a hot shower, Liang Manqing dried her body and wrapped herself in the towel. The towel was wrapped from her chest down to above her knees, barely covering her important parts.
Liang Manqing stepped lightly on the floor and tiptoed to Liang Xue’s door. She quietly pressed the doorknob but it didn’t turn.
Liang Xue actually locked her door when sleeping. Her sense of precaution was strong. Liang Manqing was resigned. She would just go back and change into her old clothes.
Qin Cen’s room was opposite Liang Xue’s. Liang Manqing tiptoed back, ready to leave, when she heard a soft click from Qin Cen’s room.
Qin Cen came out, holding folded clothes, and looked up, meeting Liang Manqing’s startled eyes.
A faint light came from the room, shining on the floor, and Liang Manqing was right in the light, awkwardly curling her fair toes.
Qin Cen had only just realized before falling asleep that Liang Manqing hadn’t taken her change of clothes. After a brief debate, she decided to fold the clothes and bring them out for her.
However, Liang Manqing had already showered and was wandering around outside the room, wrapped in a towel.
Liang Manqing clutched the towel tightly: “You’re still awake?”
Qin Cen handed over the clothes: “You forgot your clothes.”
“Thank you. I thought you were asleep, so I didn’t want to bother you.” Liang Manqing reached out to take the clothes, when she heard a sound behind her—Liang Xue opening her door with a yawn.
Qin Cen tilted her head to look behind her. Liang Manqing was quick. She grabbed Qin Cen’s shoulders with both hands, pulling both her and the clothes into the room. In her haste, a corner of the towel dropped, getting caught in the door crack.
Liang Manqing quickly locked the door without noticing. If Liang Xue saw her talking to Qin Cen while only wrapped in a towel, the child would surely overthink things tomorrow.
Qin Cen hadn’t reacted yet when Liang Manqing pinned her behind the door. The two were inches apart, and water droplets from Liang Manqing’s still-wet hair dripped onto Qin Cen’s collarbone.
Qin Cen swallowed hard. Just as she opened her mouth to ask what she was doing, Liang Manqing covered her lips with her warm palm.
Liang Manqing gave her a “shush” gesture.
Qin Cen frowned, her back pressed against the door, trying to maintain distance from Liang Manqing.
At that moment, Liang Xue knocked on the door outside: “Liang Manqing, why did you open my door just now?”
Liang Manqing: “I opened the wrong one. Go back to sleep.”
“Oh, I’ll go downstairs to drink some water before sleeping.” Liang Xue slowly walked downstairs, her footsteps distinct.
Liang Manqing sighed, frustrated. Why was this child so troublesome?
Her palm was soft. Liang Manqing removed her hand from Qin Cen’s lips, her eyes apologetic: “I’m so sorry. I didn’t know Liang Xue would come out. Given the situation, I was afraid she would misunderstand if she saw us.”
Qin Cen originally wanted to poke Liang Manqing’s shoulder with her index finger to make her move, but seeing that her shoulder was bare, without clothing, Qin Cen could only lower her hand.
Qin Cen turned her face away: “You move first.”
Liang Manqing was completely focused on listening to the movement outside, unaware that she was blocking Qin Cen behind the door, their breaths audible to each other.
Liang Manqing quickly took a step back. In an instant, she moved away, but the towel remained where it was.
The door crack firmly gripped a corner of the towel. Liang Manqing glanced at the towel scattered on the floor, then looked down at herself.
Naked and exposed.
Liang Manqing looked up at Qin Cen, who threw the clothes at her face.
Qin Cen turned her back: “Put your clothes on.”
How could someone be so helpless in their own home?
Liang Manqing, annoyed, hurriedly put on her clothes. Then she heard Liang Xue pass by the door and say: “Liang Manqing, your towel is stuck in the door crack.”
If possible, Liang Manqing wouldn’t mind going out right now and gluing Liang Xue’s mouth shut.
Liang Xue finally quietly closed the door to sleep. Liang Manqing gently opened the door and then carefully closed it again, finally breathing fresh air.
Liang Manqing slumped onto the sofa, recalling the dramatic scene just now. She groaned softly. Qin Cen wouldn’t think she was deliberately harassing her, would she?
She didn’t sleep all night.
Liang Manqing restored the living room to its original state before Aunt Tao and Liang Xue woke up.
At 6:30 AM, Aunt Tao woke up to prepare breakfast.
Liang Manqing went for an hour-long morning run. After returning and showering, she helped Aunt Tao prepare breakfast.
Aunt Tao insisted she didn’t need help: “Manqing, go wake up Liang Xue for breakfast.”
It was nearly seven, and Liang Xue hadn’t woken up yet. Liang Manqing went up and knocked on the door several times without a response. She got angry and shouted: “Liang Xue, if you don’t get up, you’ll be late for school!”
Liang Xue opened the door with sleepy eyes: “You’re going to break the door with your knocking.”
Remembering that Liang Xue woke up to drink water last night instead of sleeping, Liang Manqing raised her hand and tapped her head: “If you don’t get up, I’ll smash your head too.”
Liang Xue covered her head and pleaded: “I know, I know.”
Only then did Liang Manqing leave her alone. She turned around and saw Qin Cen, pausing for a moment before saying: “Miss Qin, you can come downstairs for breakfast now.”
Liang Xue heard the movement, ran out biting her toothbrush, and saw Qin Cen coming out of Liang Manqing’s room. She swallowed the foam in shock: “Teacher Qin, you guys really slept together last night?!”
Liang Manqing slapped Liang Xue’s head: “Hurry up and brush your teeth.”
At the dining table, Qin Cen lowered her head, drinking soy milk. During this time, she inadvertently looked up, meeting Liang Manqing’s gaze.
Their eyes met, and the images from last night flashed simultaneously in both their minds. Liang Manqing couldn’t help but look away first.
Qin Cen’s mind inappropriately recalled Liang Manqing’s voluptuous chest, slender waist, and long legs, and she coughed lightly in discomfort.
Liang Xue’s eyes kept darting between Liang Manqing and Qin Cen: “I feel like the atmosphere between you two is strange. Liang Manqing, did you make Teacher Qin angry?”
Liang Manqing put down her chopsticks: “Are you done eating? If so, I’ll have the driver take you to school.”
Liang Xue took a big bite of her bun: “I heard some noises coming from your room last night…”
Afraid that Liang Xue would blurt out something she shouldn’t, Liang Manqing quickly covered Liang Xue’s mouth: “Eat your bun.”
Liang Xue pried open Liang Manqing’s hand. She was wide awake last night. After drinking water, she wasn’t sleepy at all. She noticed how anxious Liang Manqing was, so much so that her towel fell off at the door. She then pressed her ear to the door and listened. After a while, she heard Liang Manqing apologize, followed by Liang Manqing being chased out before she was properly dressed.
She thought she could fool a child? Liang Xue knew everything.
It was just a pity that Teacher Qin was seduced by Liang Manqing.
Liang Xue circled to Qin Cen’s side, leaned down, and asked mysteriously: “Teacher Qin, was my sister not good in that regard last night? Do you think she’s pathetic?”
Qin Cen choked and coughed violently.
“I knew my clever little brain guessed correctly!” Liang Xue gently patted Qin Cen’s back to help her catch her breath, kindly advising: “Teacher Qin, there are countless Alphas in the world. If she’s not good, we can always switch.”
