After Transmigrating as the Villain Alpha, I Marked the Reborn Supporting Female Omega (GL) - Chapter 7
Liang Manqing sat by the edge of the bed and released her Alpha pheromones.
Inside the room, the scent of tequila grew richer, gradually entwining with the “Little Rose.”
The Little Rose’s response was not enthusiastic; instead, it coldly avoided the tequila. Liang Manqing slowed the release of her pheromones, giving the Little Rose enough time to adapt.
Qin Qin pressed her hands against the bed to prop herself up. Her back was turned to Liang Manqing; she didn’t want anyone to see her current expression.
Meanwhile, Liang Manqing was gritting her teeth, releasing soothing pheromones for Qin Qin while simultaneously resisting the System’s interference.
The System viewed Qin Qin as an enemy. It wouldn’t even allow Liang Manqing to help her through her heat, and it persistently urged Liang Manqing to hurry up and complete the first step of “Driving the Blackened Female Supporting Character.”
Seeing that Qin Qin looked a bit more comfortable, Liang Manqing asked, “Miss Qin, do you want to lie down and rest for a while?”
Qin Qin’s face was flushed crimson, like a ripe peach glowing with an alluring luster.
“No need, I’ll just sit for a moment.” Qin Qin took several deep breaths to regulate her heart rate. They couldn’t stay in the room for too long, or Liang Xue would become suspicious.
A moment later, a knock sounded at the door. Liang Xue’s voice drifted in: “Liang Manqing, how is Teacher Qin?”
Qin Qin steadied her breath: “I’m fine.”
Liang Xue wouldn’t leave: “Teacher Qin, is Liang Manqing in there?”
Qin Qin glanced at Liang Manqing. Liang Manqing stepped out of the bathroom, opened the door a crack, and stepped out. “What do you want with me?”
Liang Xue tried to peek through the gap, but Liang Manqing promptly shut the door tight.
Liang Xue lifted her eyelids to look at her. “What were you two doing in the room for so long?”
Worried that Liang Xue would say something reckless, Liang Manqing placed a hand on the back of her neck and led her downstairs. “Why is a kid like you meddling so much? Go drink your chicken soup.”
Liang Xue was young for her class and hadn’t developed her secondary traits yet, so Liang Manqing wasn’t worried about her smelling anything. Furthermore, Aunt Tao was a Beta and couldn’t smell pheromones at all.
Naturally, Liang Manqing didn’t feel like explaining anything to a child.
Liang Xue stared at Liang Manqing oddly. “You don’t have to say it; I already know.”
Liang Manqing looked back at Liang Xue and tutted. “I was checking where she got bruised. What else could I have been doing?”
“Are you a doctor? Stop lying to me.” Liang Xue didn’t believe her at all. “Teacher Qin said she isn’t close to you. I’m warning you, don’t go after Teacher Qin. You two aren’t a match.”
Liang Manqing tapped her chopsticks against Liang Xue’s head. “Even food can’t shut your mouth.”
Liang Xue let out an “Ow” and clutched her head. “I’m only stupid because you keep hitting me! I’m going to tell Dad!”
Liang Manqing shrugged indifferently. She looked up to see Qin Qin coming downstairs, her fair cheeks showing no sign of anything unusual.
Liang Manqing said, “Aunt Tao, add another set of bowls and chopsticks.”
Qin Qin: “No need, I’m not hungry.”
Liang Xue grabbed Qin Qin’s wrist and pulled her down to sit. “Aunt Tao’s stewed chicken soup is so fragrant. Teacher Qin, you must try some.”
Just as she finished, Aunt Tao brought over a bowl of steaming chicken soup. Liang Manqing handed her a spoon. “Drink more to nourish your body.”
Qin Qin took the spoon and had a sip. The rich chicken soup was warming all the way to her stomach—a flavor that was hard to forget after just one taste.
Liang Xue asked expectantly, “Teacher Qin, is it good?”
Qin Qin nodded. “The flavor is very good.”
“If Teacher Qin likes it, I’ll have Aunt Tao stew it for you often.”
The two chatted happily, Liang Xue’s smile brighter than a flower. Liang Manqing felt like an outsider throughout the whole scene.
Liang Manqing furrowed her brows slightly, a strange feeling rising in her heart. She felt that Liang Xue had a certain temperament that suggested she might differentiate into an Alpha.
After the soup was finished, Qin Qin had been at the Liang house for over two hours. Liang Manqing grabbed her car keys. “That’s all for today. Teacher Qin, I’ll drive you back.”
Just as Qin Qin was about to decline, Liang Manqing interrupted her. “From now on, I’ll be responsible for picking you up and dropping you off for tutoring.”
In truth, the Liang house wasn’t far from where Qin Qin lived. Qin Qin still refused: “It’s only a few stops by bus. I won’t trouble you.”
Liang Manqing explained, “It just so happens to be on my way back. It’s no trouble to give you a lift.”
Watching the two of them go back and forth while politely maintaining their distance, Liang Xue finally believed there was nothing going on between them.
After dropping Qin Qin off, Liang Manqing returned to the Qianyi Office Building to finish the work she hadn’t completed during the day.
The Qianyi Office Building was in a prime location. The lease notice had already been posted, and various companies were fighting to offer high prices.
Liang Manqing’s studio occupied floors one through six. The remaining thirty floors had been taken by a wealthy entertainment company that even wanted to lease indefinitely. According to Qian Haiye, the other party wanted to buy the property rights from her, but Liang Manqing was naturally unwilling.
Liang Manqing stepped out of her modest studio and looked up at the building. The lights were on above the sixth floor, and the busy figures of staff members were clearly visible through the windows.
Liang Manqing had a bad feeling. Just then, she saw a man’s figure emerge from the building. Jiang Hejing walked out slowly.
Liang Manqing ground her teeth. He was like a piece of dog-skin plaster—impossible to shake off.
Jiang Hejing had one hand in his pocket and gave Liang Manqing a wicked smile, as if clearly telling her that he would take this building back sooner or later.
However, Jiang Hejing wouldn’t say it aloud. Liang Manqing still held leverage over him, so no matter how annoyed he was, he had to endure it.
The name on the lease wasn’t Jiang Hejing’s; he hadn’t shown his face, so Liang Manqing hadn’t known it was him. She was now thankful the contract was only for one year; once it expired, she would definitely kick him out.
At night, the System’s voice urging her for progress gave Liang Manqing a splitting headache. Early the next morning, she sent Qian Haiye to inquire about the ownership of the land at the alley entrance.
Liang Manqing pushed open the door to the Chairman’s office at the Liang Group. Seeing Liang Jinshan, she called out, “Dad.”
Liang Manqing almost perfectly understood Liang Jinshan’s weakness. As long as she softened her tone and called him “Dad,” he would satisfy her every whim.
Hearing her voice, Liang Jinshan waved for his secretary to leave. “Why are you here?”
“I have something to ask you, of course.” Liang Manqing noticed the apartment development project proposal on his desk. “Dad, have you found the land for this apartment project yet?”
“The location hasn’t been finalized yet.” Liang Jinshan sat in his chair. “Why? Are you interested in company affairs?”
Liang Manqing: “I have a piece of land to recommend. It’s in the city center with a quiet environment, perfect for an apartment project.”
“Oh?” Liang Jinshan’s interest was piqued. “Tell me more.”
Liang Manqing explained the situation of the residential building at the alley entrance in detail. Liang Jinshan chuckled. “That building should have been demolished long ago. It’s only because the owners weren’t satisfied with the compensation that it’s been dragged out until now.”
“I’ve looked into it. Many of the owners are regretting it now. If you step in, it might just be the perfect time.”
That building would only be useful once demolished; otherwise, it was just a broken residential building with no value. The owners were only stubborn because of the terms. After so much time, other developers had long since given up. Now was the perfect time for the Liang family to step in.
After careful consideration, Liang Jinshan immediately told the project manager to go and communicate. By the time evening came and Qin Qin had just returned, she was being pushed out by her landlord.
Qin Qin: “What’s happening?”
The landlord cleared out the apartment and locked the door. “This building has been sold and will be demolished immediately. Hurry up and find another place to stay. I’ll refund you the remaining rent.”
Before Qin Qin could say another word, the landlord had snatched the keys from her hand.
Her luggage was tumbled in the hallway. Qin Qin crouched on the ground listlessly. She had wanted to leave this place, but not in this manner.
In her previous life, this building clearly hadn’t been demolished. Why had everything suddenly changed?
It wasn’t just Qin Qin; all the tenants upstairs were moving out in a hurry.
Qin Qin stopped a neighbor girl. “Have you found a place to stay?”
The girl said, “There’s a shared rental nearby, but the environment isn’t very good. Do you want to go?”
With no other choice, Qin Qin carried her luggage and went with them. After crossing the street, they reached the rental. The house had been partitioned into model rooms by the landlord to make more money. The soundproofing was terrible; you could hear everything happening next door.
Qin Qin frowned but chose a room with a window to stay in temporarily, planning to move out as soon as she earned enough money.
After setting everything up, Qin Qin checked the time. It was time for Liang Xue to finish school.
Qin Qin didn’t have Liang Manqing’s contact information, so she could only wait at the original alley entrance.
When Liang Manqing arrived, she had already picked up Liang Xue. Liang Xue suggested, “Teacher Qin, I’m going to a classmate’s birthday party tomorrow. Can you accompany me to pick out a dress?”
Liang Manqing scoffed. “If you don’t want to study, just say so. Don’t go looking for excuses.”
Liang Xue retorted, “I’m not looking for excuses! It’s the birthday party of the classmate I hate the most. I have to dress up to be more dazzling than her!”
“Are you an elementary schooler? How childish.” Liang Manqing didn’t bother arguing. She turned to Qin Qin. “Miss Qin, why not do us the honor of accompanying the kid? This will count toward your working hours.”
Qin Qin didn’t want to go, but Liang Xue stepped out of the car and invited her enthusiastically. Forced by the situation, Qin Qin sat in the passenger seat.
The car drove to a luxury business building. Liang Xue walked into the first shop with practiced ease. “Bring out all your latest dress styles and let me see them.”
Liang Manqing pinched Liang Xue’s cheek. “Do you have money?”
Liang Xue triumphantly showed a card. “Dad gave it to me. He told me to spend it however I want as a reward for studying hard and not skipping class.”
Liang Jinshan’s doting was truly suffocating.
While Liang Xue went to pick out a dress, Liang Manqing looked over and saw Qin Qin staring blankly at an accessory in the display window.
Liang Manqing looked over. The TL series accessories were unique; there was only one of each in the world. They were intended for the film and television industry, and the designers were currently looking for collaborators.
Liang Manqing vaguely remembered that the TL series was secured by the production of Tomorrow’s Lily. Eventually, the drama lived up to expectations, its popularity soaring during its broadcast, making both female leads incredibly famous.
Liang Manqing looked at Qin Qin’s distracted profile. “Do you like this accessory?”
Qin Qin snapped back and looked elsewhere. “I just think it’s pretty. It’s not about liking it or not.”
Tomorrow’s Lily was a massive hit, and the TL series played a significant part. Qin Qin didn’t just like the TL series; she loved acting even more. She had to successfully participate in the Tomorrow’s Lily audition in two weeks.
At that moment, Liang Manqing was thinking the same thing as Qin Qin. With Qin Qin’s temperament, she was perfect to play one of the leads. She would definitely help Qin Qin pass the audition.
But before that, she had to help Qin Qin terminate her contract with her current useless company.
Liang Xue picked through the options and chose three dresses for the birthday.
Since Liang Jinshan spoiled her, Liang Manqing didn’t want to say much. As long as Liang Xue didn’t do anything harmful, promised to study hard, and would eventually major in finance to inherit the family business, she let her be.
When the two hours of tutoring were up, Liang Xue’s face was full of agony. Qin Qin instructed her to do her homework for tomorrow’s check, leaving Liang Xue in tears.
Liang Manqing drove Qin Qin back. When they reached the destination, she said, “Teacher Qin, let me add your contact info so I can transfer the tutoring fee to you.”
Qin Qin hummed and held out her QR code.
Liang Manqing opened the scanner to add her as a friend and transferred 12,000 yuan.
Qin Qin said in surprise, “It doesn’t cost this much.”
Liang Manqing: “We agreed on an hourly rate of 3,000. Between yesterday and today, that’s four hours—exactly 12,000.”
Qin Qin didn’t accept and clicked refund. “3,000 an hour is too much. I only want what I’ve earned. It’s 200 an hour; just transfer 800 to me.”
After speaking, Qin Qin got out of the car. Knowing Qin Qin wouldn’t accept more, Liang Manqing had no choice but to transfer 800.
The streetlights at the corner were brilliant.
Liang Manqing looked up and saw that Qin Qin didn’t head toward the alley. Instead, she walked toward the other side of the road.
Liang Manqing followed, only then realizing that Qin Qin had moved to a new place.
The residential building at the alley entrance had been demolished. Liang Manqing had intended to follow the mission plot and use this opportunity to arrange a new place for Qin Qin to keep her close. She hadn’t expected Liang Jinshan to move so fast—acquiring the building in less than half a day. The landlord had immediately kicked all the tenants out, leaving no room to breathe.
Now that Qin Qin had found a new place, how could Liang Manqing speak up?
Liang Manqing sighed. Observing the surroundings, she noticed it was a mixed-living area. Various low-quality Alpha and Omega scents were intertwined, smelling atrocious.
The higher she went, the stronger the smell became—the scent of alcohol mixed with the unrestrained release of Alpha pheromones.
Liang Manqing walked quickly and found a man holding a liquor bottle, drunkenly blocking Qin Qin’s path with a disgusting smile. “Miss, what are you afraid of? We’re neighbors now. Have a drink with your neighbor.”
Qin Qin said coldly, “A good dog doesn’t block the way.”
The drunk man said angrily, “I’m giving you face and you’re throwing it back! What are you pretending for, living here? You’re the kind of trash I wouldn’t even touch if you threw yourself at me…”
Before he could finish, Liang Manqing, like a feral beast, punched the man hard on the bridge of his nose. The drunk man immediately snapped awake, clutching his nose and screaming.
Qin Qin froze for a moment then reacted. Not feeling satisfied, she kicked the man in his vulnerable spot. The drunk man collapsed, seeing stars from the pain.
Liang Manqing pulled out a stack of cash and threw it in his face. “Next time you see us, remember to walk the long way around.”
The hallway was narrow, and the drunk man was blocking the path while lying on the ground. Liang Manqing kicked him in the stomach. “Get lost already!”
Knowing he couldn’t afford to provoke the S-class Alpha in front of him, the drunk man scrambled to take the money and hid back in his room.
Qin Qin went back to her room on her own. After opening the door, she saw Liang Manqing still following behind and couldn’t help but ask, “Liang Manqing, do you have nothing to do every day? Why do you keep following me?”
In her previous life, Qin Qin had always been alone and had no interaction with Liang Manqing. Reborn once more, she felt like she was being stalked by her.
Liang Manqing was temporarily speechless, standing at the door looking somewhat awkward. Qin Qin had no intention of inviting her in for tea.
“Liang Xue asked me to make sure you got home safely. If I promised her, I have to do it.”
Liang Manqing made up a random excuse. Qin Qin gave her a strange look. “Thank you for today. Go back early.”
The motion-sensor light in the hallway went out. Qin Qin’s two roommates returned drunk, and the drink in one of their hands accidentally splashed onto Liang Manqing.
Liang Manqing let out a cry of surprise. The sensor light came on, revealing that her clothes were covered in a sticky mess.
One of the roommates yelled, “Why are you standing here in the dark? You made me lose my drink!”
After yelling, the two girls walked into their room, clinging to each other.
What a bunch of weirdos.
Because they were Qin Qin’s roommates, Liang Manqing couldn’t lash out. She could only endure her anger while wiping the ice cream off herself.
Seeing her disheveled state, Qin Qin finally relented. “Come in and wash up. You can’t wipe that clean.”
“Thank you.”
Liang Manqing entered the room and took off her outer layer, wearing only a white camisole underneath. Her skin was fair and her figure well-proportioned, making it hard not to steal a few glances.
Qin Qin looked away. “The bathroom is here. Wash up yourself.”
Liang Manqing only did a simple wash of her arms; she would have to go back to take a proper shower. After she finished and came out, Qin Qin handed her a towel.
As Liang Manqing took it, she heard sounds coming from next door—very clear and unobstructed. It was the sound of those two roommates from earlier in an intimate entanglement.
Liang Manqing coughed lightly to hide the embarrassment. Qin Qin had already turned to head out.
Outside, a light rain had started to fall at some point.
Liang Manqing followed her and asked, “Do you want to come sit in my car for a while?”
Qin Qin nodded silently. She didn’t know when those two roommates would finish. She was feeling unwell and desperately wanted to get some sleep.
Liang Manqing brought the car over and opened the passenger door. Qin Qin bent down to enter, lying on her side on the seat.
In the enclosed space of the car, Qin Qin’s brow furrowed slightly as the agitation in her body became increasingly obvious.
Liang Manqing cracked the window slightly for air. She glanced sideways at Qin Qin. “Sleep for a while.”
An Omega who has been marked by an Alpha is extremely sensitive. Coupled with Qin Qin’s physical condition, she felt a profound lack of security at this moment. Having not slept a wink last night, she was terrified tonight would be the same.
Qin Qin bit her lip lightly and looked at Liang Manqing, finding it difficult to speak.
Liang Manqing met Qin Qin’s gaze. “Do you need my pheromones?”
Qin Qin nodded. She reached out a fair, tender palm and asked, “Can you hold me this time?”
