After Transmigrating into a Book, I Ended Up with My Dream Omega - Chapter 1
“Therefore, the company should focus its primary investment goals for this stage on the new energy industry, rather than on film and television resources.”
When Xia Xiangzhen regained consciousness, she heard a voice droning on in her ear.
As she slowly opened her eyes, the first thing she saw were her own legs clad in suit trousers. Her gaze then drifted upward toward the person speaking.
Sensing her gaze, the speaker gave a confident smile and asked, “President Xia, what do you think?”
Xia Xiangzhen: “???”
Something was wrong. She remembered being in a plane crash. Even if she had been rescued, she should be lying in a hospital bed, not sitting in a conference room like this.
And who was this man? She didn’t recognize him at all. Furthermore, “President Xia”? What kind of title was that?
Xia Xiangting looked at her younger sister’s dazed expression and knew immediately that she hadn’t been listening. She thought helplessly to herself that her sister really had no interest in these matters.
However, her sister should be somewhat interested in the film and television industry. She had mentioned recently that she was curious about the entertainment business—though that interest seemed to stem from a competitive streak against Wei Lan, a successful member of the Wei family’s current generation.
Perhaps she could use that to motivate her sister to work harder.
Looking at the investment proposal for the film industry, Xia Xiangting’s mind whirled with thoughts. Maintaining a serious and professional facade, she stepped in to bail her sister out. “Since not everyone has finished speaking, it’s not easy to jump to a conclusion just yet.”
She gestured toward the next person. “You, tell us about your plan for the film and television industry so we can have a comparison.”
Xia Xiangzhen turned her head toward the familiar voice and saw her sister’s face.
Wait, why was her sister here too? What was going on?
Xia Xiangzhen was bewildered, but given the setting, she couldn’t ask questions. She could only observe closely. She realized that this “sister” even had the exact same small habits and mannerisms as her real sister.
Is this actually my own sister?
She finally endured until the meeting ended. The moment Xia Xiangzhen stood up, she followed her sister out of the room and all the way to Xia Xiangting’s office.
As soon as the door closed, Xia Xiangting said helplessly, “Why didn’t you go back to your own office? Are you really that interested in the plan to enter the entertainment industry?”
Xia Xiangzhen still hadn’t figured out what was happening. She was in a state of stunned reflection. If she had truly transmigrated, then what was the deal with this sister? Or was this just a dream she was having in the moments before her death in the plane crash?
Seeing Xia Xiangzhen lost in thought and unresponsive, Xia Xiangting continued, “Let me put it this way: Are you actually interested in the film industry? Or is it because of that person from the Wei family—what was her name? Wei Lan? Do you just want to compete with her in that field?”
“Wei… Wei Lan?” Xia Xiangzhen stared at her sister in shock as that familiar name left her lips. “Is it that Alpha female singer, Wei Lan?”
Xia Xiangting gave her “silly” sister an odd look. “Who else would it be?”
Xia Xiangzhen’s eyes widened in disbelief.
She had transmigrated into a book!
And it was the Yuri ABO novel she loved most. The Wei Lan just mentioned was the Alpha protagonist of that story.
Actually, she only loved the novel because of one specific character: the great villainess, Yin Xiaowei.
The book was originally about the reunion between the Alpha lead and her “White Moonlight” Omega. But as Xia Xiangzhen read, she fell in love with the antagonist instead.
Despite being born into extreme poverty, Yin Xiaowei was incredibly resilient. Even in the “big dye vat” of the entertainment industry, she never succumbed to “hidden rules” (casting couch culture). She relied on her own hard work and acting skills to find opportunities. Her only goal was to make money quickly to provide a good life for her mother, who had raised her alone but fell ill just as Yin Xiaowei was finally able to repay her.
Originally, Yin Xiaowei’s life and Wei Lan’s were parallel lines that should have never crossed. However, during a wilderness survival reality show, Yin Xiaowei was “heroically rescued” by Wei Lan. This led to her falling in love at first sight and confessing her feelings.
Because Yin Xiaowei bore a slight resemblance to the “White Moonlight” in Wei Lan’s heart, Wei Lan treated her as a substitute and accepted the confession.
Since the story was about the reunion of the lead and her first love, Yin Xiaowei’s fate as the “third wheel” was miserable. Wei Lan would break up with her whenever the White Moonlight was kind to her, and crawl back to her whenever the White Moonlight was cold.
Through this cycle of abandonment and reconciliation, Yin Xiaowei’s emotional state was shattered, and her career was ruined when the relationship was exposed by the media. Later, Yin Xiaowei was even tricked by her manager into attending a predatory dinner party. Sensing danger, she texted Wei Lan for help, but Wei Lan—busy chasing after her White Moonlight—ignored the message.
This led to Yin Xiaowei being humiliated for refusing to compromise at the party, and she was subsequently blacklisted from the industry.
Hitting rock bottom and learning the truth about Wei Lan’s negligence, Yin Xiaowei completely “blackened.” She meticulously climbed her way back up, a true model of a powerful female lead. Once she reached the top, she took revenge by committing a series of crimes against the protagonist and the White Moonlight. If not for the protagonist’s “main character halo,” they would have been “Game Over.”
But that satisfying path of revenge was eventually defeated by that very same halo. The novel ended with Yin Xiaowei committing suicide to satisfy the requirement for a “harmonious society” where villains must be punished.
When Xia Xiangzhen had read that ending, she was so angry she nearly coughed up blood. Yin Xiaowei became her “dream Omega.”
And now, she was actually in the book!
But were there any “Xia Xiangzhen” or “Xia Xiangting” sisters in that book?
The moment Xia Xiangzhen realized her situation, a flood of memories surged into her mind. Her brain couldn’t process so much information at once, and its protective mechanism kicked in. With a splitting headache, Xia Xiangzhen fainted.
When she woke up again, she saw her sister, Xia Xiangting, looking at her with a face full of anxiety.
“Zhenzhen, are you okay?”
“I’m fine.” Xia Xiangzhen noticed the white walls. “Am I in the hospital?”
Having fully integrated the memories, she realized that while she had indeed transmigrated, her life experiences up until the age of fourteen were the same. The only difference was that in this world, their old home had been demolished when she was fourteen, and the sisters received a massive compensation payout.
With that money and Xia Xiangting’s successful business maneuvers over the last decade, the Xia family had risen to prominence. Looking at her sister’s familiar face, Xia Xiangzhen used her mental fortitude to accept this reality.
Seeing her sister try to sit up, Xia Xiangting hurried to help her, propping a pillow behind her back. “You’re in the hospital. The doctor checked you over, but I’m still worried. How about a full-body CT scan?”
“No need, I’m really fine.” It was just a side effect of receiving a massive memory download. Xia Xiangzhen swallowed the last part of that thought.
“Then why did you suddenly faint?” Xia Xiangting pressed.
Xia Xiangzhen scrambled for an excuse. “Probably… the weather was too hot. I had heatstroke.”
Xia Xiangting looked at her as if she were an idiot. However, her sister’s complexion looked good, and since she was in the mood to joke, she seemed genuinely alright.
Xia Xiangting compromised. “Fine, you don’t have to do the scan, but you must stay under observation for one day.”
Staying for a day was easy; it would give her time to sort out her feelings. Xia Xiangzhen nodded obediently.
Seeing her so compliant, Xia Xiangting stroked her sister’s hair. Checking her watch, she said apologetically, “Sorry Zhenzhen, I have things to handle and can’t stay. I have to head back to the company.”
Knowing from her memories that her sister was a workaholic, Xia Xiangzhen knew it was already a feat for her to stay until she woke up. “Go ahead, Sis. Get to work.”
“Okay. Stay here for the day. If everything is fine, I’ll pick you up and take you home tomorrow.”
After a final reminder, Xia Xiangting took her handbag and walked toward the door. She stopped suddenly as if remembering something and turned back.
“By the way, although I don’t entirely approve of your competitive attitude toward Wei Lan, I think it’s good that she’s made you interested in the film industry. You’ll be in charge of the newly opened entertainment subsidiary. I’ll assign an executive manager to assist you, so don’t worry. I believe in you. If you work hard, you’ll do an excellent job!”
After cheering her sister on, Xia Xiangting left.
Xia Xiangzhen was left alone, staring at the white walls. Although she thought she had accepted the situation, a surge of irritability washed over her. Her sister back in her original world would be so heartbroken to hear about the plane crash.
The more she thought about it, the more restless she became. Before her assistant arrived, she slipped out of the room to get some fresh air.
The hospital lobby was bustling, a place filled with joys and sorrows. Sitting there for a while, she began to reflect. She had cheated death, and her only relative was still by her side—that was already a blessing. If her sister in the original world knew she was alive, she would be happy too.
Having reached an epiphany, Xia Xiangzhen decided to head back to wait for the assistant.
But the moment she stood up, she spotted a woman in the middle of the bustling crowd.
Xia Xiangzhen’s breath hitched.
It’s her! It’s her! A voice in her heart screamed frantically.
“Yin Xiaowei!” she called out.
The woman indeed turned around, a confused expression on her face as she looked at Xia Xiangzhen.
“I… I’m a fan of your work!” Xia Xiangzhen stammered out a reason.
Yin Xiaowei smiled. “Thank you, but you shouldn’t shout in a hospital.” She held up some medical forms. “Also, I have things to do, so I have to go now.”
Only then did Xia Xiangzhen realize her surroundings. Medical staff were already walking toward them.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” she apologized quickly, making a “zipping my lips” gesture. Seeing her quiet down, the staff moved on.
By the time the crisis was averted, Xia Xiangzhen looked for Yin Xiaowei, only to find she had already left.
Though she felt a bit of regret for not saying more, she was still riding the high of actually meeting her dream Omega.
Truly, she was her dream Omega! She was so beautiful she didn’t seem real.
Xia Xiangzhen made up her mind then and there.
How could her dream Omega be allowed to suffer through those tragic events?
The original protagonist? Even the protagonist can’t stop me from being with my dream Omega!
