- After Transmigrating into a Scum Alpha, I Was Targeted by the Flirty Boss Omega
- Chapter 12 - They Are All Her Children
An Lu was not surprised by the result. She looked askance at Chao Man Yun, adopting the posture of a victor.
Her arrogant expression made Chao Man Yun slightly uncomfortable, but this level of rudeness was nothing to Chao Man Yun, who remained polite and asked, “Does the child’s family member know?”
She hoped An Lu wouldn’t say the Alpha was involved…
An Lu crossed her arms, lifted her chin slightly, and said naturally, “You dispatched her to run an errand for someone else.”
…It was obvious who she was referring to: the person Shen Fu was pretending to be pregnant for.
Chao Man Yun frowned, immediately mentally giving Wen Min a big mark of disapproval. She looks like such an honest person, but secretly she has a partner and child and is still getting entangled with someone else. And Shen Fu isn’t picky?
During the rest of the examination, Chao Man Yun mostly kept quiet, aside from essential reminders. She quickly finished the remaining checks, handed the pregnancy results to An Lu, and said calmly, “I wish you both a happy life together.” Don’t split up and harm anyone else.
An Lu scoffed softly, disdaining to look at Chao Man Yun. “Do I need you to tell me that?” If she could secure him, she’d be willing to stay with Wen Min forever. Who wouldn’t love a movie star who is rich and simple-minded? She might even become famous by leveraging her reputation.
Hearing this, Chao Man Yun didn’t get angry. She curved her lips, her eyes behind her glasses forming a pleasing arc, and said meaningfully, “Then I suppose I don’t need to go over the pregnancy precautions?” While examining her, Chao Man Yun had already noticed that An Lu’s physical condition was complex. Although she couldn’t confirm An Lu’s character, based on her extensive clinical experience, An Lu was certainly not pregnant for the first time. She wondered if the previous child was also related to Wen Min, and if so, did Shen Fu know?
Hearing this question, An Lu was completely transparent, as if she wanted the whole world to know, with a hint of showing off. She met Chao Man Yun’s eyes, then let her gaze fall on Chao Man Yun’s name badge, replying in a subtly condescending way, “Surely Dr. Chao can tell I’ve had an abortion?” Since Wen Min wasn’t there, she didn’t bother to be polite, exposing her truest side.
Before she could finish, An Lu gave Chao Man Yun a cold shoulder and walked straight toward the door, as if this proud, temperamental demeanor was her truest self. Before she could leave, Chao Man Yun quickly stopped her, asking casually, “Was that one hers too?”
Hearing this question, An Lu’s steps suddenly halted. At an angle invisible to Chao Man Yun, her arrogant face flashed with panic. She felt her heart skip several beats. After taking two quick deep breaths to steady her voice, she impatiently retorted, “Who else would it be?”
After hearing An Lu’s words, Chao Man Yun’s impression of Wen Min worsened drastically, and her eyes immediately darkened.
An Lu didn’t give Chao Man Yun time to ask any more questions and walked out of the examination room without looking back. Due to nervousness, the report in her hand was unconsciously crumpled at one corner. Thinking about the child’s true identity, An Lu couldn’t help but worry. She checked her phone repeatedly, sitting absentmindedly on the bench waiting for Wen Min to return.
After waiting for more than ten minutes, a familiar figure finally appeared. An Lu’s eyes lit up. She dropped her unpleasant expression, walked forward to greet her, and smiled, “You’re back.”
