- After Transmigrating into a Scum Alpha, I Was Targeted by the Flirty Boss Omega
- Chapter 6 - One Alpha, Two Omegas
Chao Man Yun, on the other end of the line, looked at the message in disbelief. She rubbed her eyes several times, repeatedly checked the contact name, and reread Shen Fu’s message before she could confirm she hadn’t made a mistake.
Pregnancy test??
Shen Fu is getting a pregnancy test???
Based on her understanding of Shen Fu, she hadn’t been in a relationship for centuries. In Chao Man Yun’s memory, she had never even dated, and now, in the blink of an eye, she was about to have a child?!
Is this even the Shen Fu she knew?
But who was the other parent? Shen Fu hadn’t mentioned a word.
After sending the message, Shen Fu lifted her eyes and casually glanced into the rear-view mirror, only to coincidentally meet a pair of anxious eyes.
The person reacted quickly, instantly retracting her gaze, feeling the awkwardness and guilt of being caught red-handed.
What Wen Min didn’t know was that a few seconds after she looked away, the eyes of the person in the back seat slightly curved, losing some of their usual caution and sharpness.
Why does she look so innocent?
If this was all an act, Shen Fu didn’t believe she couldn’t find a moment where the facade slipped. Since Wen Min had provoked her, she shouldn’t expect an easy exit.
Shen Fu thought.
For the rest of the drive, An Lu kept trying to talk to Wen Min, and Wen Min tried her best to engage. There was no third voice in the car. Wen Min quietly glanced at Shen Fu, finding her resting with her eyes closed.
Shen Fu’s sleeping face gave a completely different impression than when she was awake. A conscious Shen Fu seemed unapproachable, but asleep, she possessed a rare peace and softness, like a hedgehog that had lowered its guard. It made one want to pull her into an embrace and feel that fleeting gentleness.
If she had met Shen Fu in another way, not as the Scum Alpha, would their relationship have been better?
Unfortunately, this wasn’t like a scientific experiment where she could have artificially set up a control group from the start. She might never get the chance to see Shen Fu treat her gently.
Suddenly, An Lu’s voice interrupted Wen Min’s thoughts.
“After the hospital, should we go shopping? It’s been a while since we went together…”
Wen Min immediately snapped back. She glanced at the sleeping person in the back seat through the mirror, then gestured to An Lu with her eyes, carefully whispering, “Shh, she’s sleeping.”
“…” An Lu knew that continuing would be annoying, so she reluctantly closed her mouth. When Wen Min wasn’t looking, she quietly glared at Shen Fu through the rear-view mirror.
She wanted to vent some frustration with this unseen act, but unexpectedly, those tightly closed eyes suddenly opened and smiled at her meaningfully.
There was no overbearing resentment in those beautiful eyes, but rather an effortless ease, as if all of An Lu’s reactions were exactly what she expected.
An Lu’s act of being pitifully fragile, and her subsequent moves of secret annoyance after failing, were all precisely anticipated by Shen Fu.
An Lu hadn’t expected Shen Fu’s cunning to be this deep, pretending to rest with her eyes closed! She couldn’t help herself and blurted out, “You!”
Hearing the noise, Wen Min’s heart skipped a beat. Afraid of waking Shen Fu, she instinctively looked at her. By the time she looked, Shen Fu’s eyes were closed again, looking nothing like someone who was awake.
She saw Shen Fu’s brow furrow slightly, as if she had been disturbed by the noise but wasn’t fully awake. Wen Min sharpened her tone and made a shushing gesture, whispering to An Lu, “Shh!”
“…” An Lu pouted and lowered her eyes to look at Wen Min, adopting a pathetic expression that made it difficult for anyone to stay angry with her. She said softly, “I didn’t mean to…”
Her tone made Wen Min feel she might have been too harsh earlier, sounding like she was snapping at her. She quickly apologized in a low voice, then stopped talking altogether and focused on driving.
When An Lu bit her lip and looked at the back seat again, she saw Shen Fu staring at her, her eyes looking somewhat menacing. Then they closed again in a flicker, making the whole encounter feel like an illusion.
Shen Fu’s retaliation wasn’t about fighting over a woman; it was because An Lu’s “tea” had been poured on her, and she had to respond.
Upon arriving at the hospital, Wen Min quickly parked the car. The three of them walked toward the Obstetrics and Gynecology department—one Alpha and two Omegas—attracting many glances. It looked like a classic, melodramatic shura field, where passersby could imagine many exciting scenarios just by looking.
Wen Min received many looks of disgust, which she sheepishly avoided, while Shen Fu and An Lu received many sympathetic glances, along with some regretful looks of disappointment.
Just as they were about to register, a doctor wearing silver-rimmed glasses greeted them politely. She quickly scanned the one Alpha and two Omegas, her gaze finally resting on Shen Fu. She made a gesture to invite them in and said, “Miss Shen, this way please.”
Wen Min assessed Chao Man Yun. Overall, Chao Man Yun, wearing glasses and a white coat, looked very refined. Her gentle voice was very reassuring, and she seemed experienced despite her youth.
Her gaze shifted down slightly, and she read the name “Chao Man Yun” on the name badge. Before she could fully process it, she instantly understood her relationship with Shen Fu.
In the original book, Chao Man Yun was Shen Fu’s childhood best friend and had helped Shen Fu often. When the original host offended Shen Fu, and Shen Fu punished her, Chao Man Yun repeatedly helped by using drugs to forcefully keep Wen Min awake so Shen Fu could better torture her.
Thinking this, Wen Min’s heart felt heavy. Her shoes felt like they were filled with lead, making it difficult to take a step.
Seeing Wen Min frozen, Shen Fu explained, “I booked an appointment online.”
Wen Min quickly nodded. “Okay…”
It looks like I just have to bite the bullet… I’ll try not to offend anyone.
At that moment, before An Lu could even ask, Wen Min looked uncomfortably into Chao Man Yun’s eyes and requested, “Could you please check her hand first?”
An Lu was touched by Wen Min’s proactive and caring demeanor. When did her Alpha become so thoughtful?
Then, she felt a sense of pride. Wen Min was ultimately subdued by her.
Chao Man Yun followed Wen Min’s gaze to An Lu’s already scabbing wound. She waved to a nurse and called out, “Ting Ting, please help with the bandage.”
“Yes.” Xu Ting, an Omega nurse, was smart and efficient. She quickly walked over.
However, An Lu seemed dissatisfied with this outcome. She wanted Wen Min to show more concern, and having a junior nurse handle her wound so casually wouldn’t draw Wen Min’s attention, would it?
While it wasn’t a serious injury, exaggerating small issues and making Alphas accept and feel sympathy for her had always been her specialty.
She didn’t directly say this was unacceptable, but hesitated, looking like she had more to say but was holding back.
“Don’t worry, Ting Ting is very professional.”
Shen Fu quietly glared at An Lu.
Before An Lu could take any further attention-seeking action, Shen Fu suddenly went weak in the legs and collapsed without warning.
