Summary
Synopsis:
Wen Tang transmigrated into an abusive romance novel—
In the book, she was the male lead’s “white moonlight” who had gone abroad. After she rejected him, the male lead found the female lead to serve as her substitute.
Later, after completing her studies and returning home, Wen Tang—despite holding a doctorate in cardiac surgery—did not choose to shine in the operating room and save lives. Instead, she devoted herself entirely to fighting the female lead over the male lead. Framing her, kidnapping her… she resorted to every filthy and despicable method imaginable.
In the end, while serving as the lead surgeon, she caused the death of the female lead’s mother through improper surgical handling. The male lead, who was consumed with regret after the female lead’s death, took revenge on her, leaving her corpse abandoned in the street.
To avoid following the same plot as the original novel, Wen Tang stayed far away from both the male and female leads after returning home and concentrated on her career. Before long, she became a renowned cardiac surgeon.
But when the sweet and adorable female lead gazed at her with those large, watery eyes, Wen Tang still could not bring herself to refuse her.
It began with agreeing to appear as a guest on the program she hosted. Then she helped her film a documentary and performed surgery on her mother…
The only thing Wen Tang could not understand was why the two of them had started out discussing nothing but work, only for those discussions to somehow end up in the bedroom.
Shi Nanqiao was reborn and swore that she would take revenge on the scumbag man and vile woman who had caused her mother’s death.
In her previous life, Fu Xuan used the promise of paying her mother’s medical expenses to force her to quit her job and become his secret lover. She endured every humiliation he inflicted on her, as well as his beatings and imprisonment. Yet who could have imagined that, to maintain control over her, he had deliberately delayed her mother’s surgery until the optimal treatment window had passed?
In the end, it was even his precious white moonlight who caused her mother to die during surgery.
However, as Shi Nanqiao watched this “workaholic” act as though she wanted to spend all twenty-four hours of every day at the hospital, she simply could not connect this Wen Tang with the woman she remembered—a woman who cared only about romance and had a reputation unsupported by any real ability.
