After Transmigrating into the Scum Wife of a Disabled Black Moonlight (GL) - Chapter 11
But this meant that she hadn’t played her slacker character well, and Jian Qiuyu’s eyes were sharp.
Jian Qiuyu saw that she had an extraordinary presence and a reserved gaze. She had only ever seen this kind of aura in certain situations, like with hidden assassins or spies guarding powerful figures in movies.
However, in the next second, Deng Li’s words made her laugh. Wife? It seemed she had overthought things.
She apologized awkwardly. “I’m sorry, I just assumed that anyone driving Chisui around would be a… I didn’t realize you were so considerate, picking her up yourself.”
Deng Li leaned on the wheelchair with her arms, her eyes half-closed in a smile. “Of course I have to take care of my own wife.”
Jian Qiuyu’s eyebrow twitched, and the corners of her mouth slightly tightened. “That’s good.”
“Congratulations on your marriage.”
“Thank you.”
With that, she turned around, and their group of two became three, walking to the classroom together.
Jian Qiuyu held her books and turned to Song Chisui. “How was your review?”
Song Chisui tilted her head slightly. “It was good.”
“If you have any questions, you can always ask me.”
“I know, Teacher.”
“Please get more rest. If you have any problems or need anything, you can come directly to me. As your homeroom teacher, I will do my best to take care of you.”
“Thank you, Teacher.” Song Chisui looked at her with great respect, gentleness, and peace.
It was nothing like the way she looked at Deng Li: with disgust, vigilance, and rejection.
When Jian Qiuyu looked at her, she was like a deer, her eyes wide, pitiful, and misty. But when Deng Li looked at her, she was like a lone wolf, her eyes filled with murderous intent.
Deng Li pushed the wheelchair from behind, thinking about the plot of the original novel.
Jian Qiuyu, a Master’s degree holder in psychology, was 27 years old. She became a counselor at Bailing University right after graduation, and then worked her way up to homeroom teacher. She had a wide and good network, and her personality was gentle and kind.
This was the person who illuminated Song Chisui’s world during her darkest moments, helping her escape the clutches of the original owner, Deng Li, protecting her from being bullied, and taking care of her daily life. She also went from being a refined person to a refined villain, doing many bad things for Song Chisui.
The story ended badly because the author wanted to write a conclusion where the two villains got away with it, but the readers weren’t happy. They felt that the two should be punished. On the other hand, some readers felt that the two were pitiful and would threaten to assassinate the author if they were punished.
This scared the author so much that they couldn’t write, and the story ended badly.
Writing novels is a high-risk profession these days.
Song Chisui and Jian Qiuyu hadn’t developed a romantic relationship yet, but it seemed 100% likely they would end up together.
They were holding back because of the teacher-student relationship. But once that boundary was crossed, their blissful life would be like a wild horse without a bridle, free to gallop and intertwine.
Thinking about this, Deng Li couldn’t help but glance at the two of them. In the prime of their youth, with golden sunlight shining on them, they were laughing and chatting. Honestly, if they weren’t doing bad things, they’d make a good couple.
When they arrived at the classroom, Deng Li’s escort mission was over.
Song Chisui and Jian Qiuyu walked in. The students all stared at them with strange looks.
Jian Qiuyu went to the podium. Song Chisui pushed her wheelchair to her designated spot and sat down. Both of them seemed to be used to this kind of attention.
But they ignored it.
Jian Qiuyu told the students to come and get their textbooks. They all went to get their own books.
Only Song Chisui didn’t move.
Deng Li stood by the window, peeking in, like a doting mother checking on her well-behaved daughter. Sigh.
At this time, people were walking around, and her wheelchair wouldn’t be able to get through.
Just then, a girl holding a stack of books placed them in front of Song Chisui. “Sui Sui, here are your books.”
The girl had a short, golden bob cut and was wearing a blue and white sailor uniform. Her style was similar to Song Chisui’s—both were childish. Her personality was simple. She was a young lady from a wealthy family, and her heart was bright. She naturally didn’t mind Song Chisui’s disability and didn’t distance herself from her. Instead, she cared for her and was her good friend.
Song Chisui smiled. “Qingshui, thank you.” She held the books in her hands, smiling from the heart.
Qingshui? Isn’t she Song Chisui’s college best friend? The only person who was kind to her in college. It was a pity that she was later killed by Song Chisui because of a conflict.
Qingshui placed Song Chisui’s books down and turned to get her own. In the crowd, she was walking back with her books when a small leg appeared in front of her. She didn’t see it in time and was tripped hard, falling forward with the books. “Ah!”
The books scattered all over the floor, right in front of Song Chisui.
Qingshui’s face contorted in pain. She turned to look at the person who had stuck out their leg.
It was the school bully, Deng Chengxia.
Deng Li was fuming and was about to go forward.
Jian Qiuyu came down from the podium. “What’s going on?”
She bent down and helped Qingshui up, looking her up and down. “Are you okay?”
Qingshui was held by the teacher’s arm, who was showing genuine concern. She couldn’t help but look at Jian Qiuyu more. “I’m fine. It’s all because of Deng Chengxia.”
Deng Chengxia stood to the side. “Teacher, I didn’t mean it.”
The girl had a frizzy hairstyle and was wearing a crop top. Her fishnet stockings gave her a street-style look. She was chewing gum. After feigning innocence, she winked at Jian Qiuyu.
Jian Qiuyu’s expression was calm. “Spit it out.”
Deng Chengxia: “Huh?”
“I told you to spit it out.”
Deng Chengxia gave a scornful smile and blew a big bubble at Jian Qiuyu.
The white bubble, like an inflated pouch, got bigger and bigger until it popped with a bang, to the sound of laughter from the entire class.
“Did you mean spit out a bubble?”
The students laughed even harder, clutching their stomachs and wiping tears from their eyes.
“Quiet!”
Jian Qiuyu shouted. “Quiet, quiet!”
It still didn’t work. She walked to the door and slammed it shut with a force that shook the ground.
Even the glass in the windows rattled.
Silence. Jian Qiuyu pointed at Deng Chengxia. “Go stand in the back.”
Deng Chengxia’s mouth twitched. “Teacher.”
“Stand there.” Jian Qiuyu pushed her glasses up. “Are you not listening?”
The atmosphere became very tense. Deng Chengxia looked resentful. She glared at Song Chisui and walked to the back.
Qingshui rubbed her knee, picked up her books, and returned to her seat.
“Are you okay?” Song Chisui asked with concern.
Qingshui shook her head. “I’m fine.”
How could the first day of school be so dramatic?
Deng Li felt uneasy and didn’t go home. She stayed around Song Chisui like a mother hen.
Throughout the two classes in the morning, after class, everyone went out to get food, but Song Chisui remained still, sitting in her seat.
At lunchtime, Qingshui naturally asked her if she needed her to bring her some food.
Song Chisui refused.
She sat quietly in the classroom, holding her book. From 12:00 to 2:30, she didn’t eat a single bite of food or drink a drop of water.
Then she had to rush to her next class.
…So that’s why she’s so skinny.
While watching over Song Chisui, Deng Li forgot to eat.
Her stomach rumbled twice in protest. She rubbed her belly and looked around. The cafeteria was already closed, but there should be sandwiches and rice balls.
She looked at Song Chisui’s familiar back, as she expertly navigated the wheelchair. Under the shadow of the trees, she turned into the small woods by the lake.
It should be fine if I leave her for a moment, right?
She had to get her fed before her next class. With that thought, she turned and went to the second cafeteria.
She packed a sandwich, a hot cup of soy milk, and some glutinous rice balls. Deng Li ate a skewer of fish balls as she walked.
She was heading back to the small woods where Song Chisui had just entered.
She hadn’t even gone two steps when two tall beauties stood in front of her. They both had long black hair, slender waists, and were wearing tight, sexy black dresses.
“What department are you in, Sister?”
Deng Li bit into a fish ball. “What’s wrong?”
One of them covered her mouth and laughed, while the other’s face was slightly red.
“What’s your WeChat ID?”
Deng Li understood. Their intentions were written all over their faces.
She didn’t have time to worry about that. She only saw that Song Chisui was no longer on the path.
Where is she?
She ignored the two girls and walked past them. The beige trench coat she was wearing created a breeze, carrying a faint scent that made the two girls stomp their feet in excitement. “Sister!”
Her clothes were grabbed. She turned to look at them. “I’m sorry.” She held up her left hand and wiggled the ring on her ring finger. “I’m married.”
She quickly pulled her clothes away. In just a few seconds, the two girls only felt a gust of wind rush past, leaving behind the rustling sound of the leaves.
“Where…where did she go?”
“I don’t know, she was too fast.”
Deng Li had a bad feeling. She quickly ran to the spot where Song Chisui had “disappeared.” She saw the wheel tracks on the ground, which made a circle before vanishing.
In front of her was an abandoned old academic building with the word “DEMOLITION” written on the white wall.
The caution tape had been torn away, and the traces of her disappearance were very obvious.
What are those students trying to do in broad daylight?
Deng Li walked inside. Sure enough, after searching for a bit, she heard someone crying from a stairwell on the top floor.
“No, no.”
It was Qingshui’s voice.
Deng Li tilted her head and looked through a cracked window, seeing what was happening inside.
Qingshui was sitting on the floor, a guy was choking her, and he was holding a bottle of Nongfu Spring water, about to pour it into her mouth.
It was clearly not water.
“Drink it.”
“No!”
Qingshui gritted her teeth, keeping her mouth shut.
Deng Chengxia had her arms crossed, one of her fishnet-clad legs resting on Qingshui’s shoulder. “You don’t have to drink it, but let your little friend drink it for you.”
With that, she gave a contemptuous look toward Song Chisui in the dark corner.
