Summary
Synopsis:
The popular young starlet, Ruan Youran, sits down for an interview just before filming begins for the variety show, 33 Days of Marriage.
Reporter: “Youran, how do you feel about the upcoming cohabitation and ‘married life’ with Film Queen Chu Nian?”
Ruan Youran (with a charming smile): “I’m thrilled, of course! Being able to work with a national Film Queen is the greatest honor of my life.”
Inner thoughts: Heh. That ice-cube face… we’re about to get divorced anyway. She can spend the rest of her life cuddling her acting trophies for all I care.
Reporter: “Film Queen Chu is known for being quite cold and aloof. Since you two haven’t worked together before, you’re essentially two strangers jumping into a 33-day ‘marriage.’ Are you nervous?”
Ruan Youran (covering her face and laughing): “Oh, absolutely. I’m incredibly nervous! How did you know? Just mentioning it makes my heart race. Wow, is it getting hot in here?”
Inner thoughts: Strangers? Did she forget the times she used to call me ‘Little Sweetie’?
Suddenly, screams erupt. The cameras swivel away as reporters ditch Ruan Youran and dash toward the newcomer.
Reporter: “Film Queen Chu! We heard that in the upcoming marriage program with Youran, there will be sweet moments like kissing and hugging during the ‘honeymoon’ phase. Are you looking forward to it?”
Chu Nian looks over at Ruan Youran, who is rolling her eyes in the distance. Under the expectant gaze of the crowd, she smiles faintly: “No, I’m not.”
Because back when they were together, every single day was a honeymoon.
Ruan Youran: “…”
After speaking, Chu Nian turns her gaze toward Ruan Youran with a half-smile. “I heard Youran is looking forward to it quite a bit, though?”
Ruan Youran: “…”
