Control (Futa) - Chapter 6
6. Turning Point
When the waiter led Tang Mingling to the table, several socialite wives she usually associated with were already having tea. When they saw her, they waved, motioning for her to sit down.
Tang Mingling’s emotions were stable, but she had to maintain a cheerful expression on her face. Her relationships with them were mostly superficial. She wouldn’t have agreed to the appointment if she hadn’t wanted to avoid Ji Xun.
“It’s rare to get Mingling to join our gathering. Is your foundation not busy lately?” one of the ladies, married to a hot new tech mogul, spoke first.
“I have to make time to meet with you all, lest everyone forget what I look like.” Tang Mingling smiled and turned to the waiter to order a pot of floral tea.
When a group of women gathers, they mostly talk about family matters, and a competitive attitude inevitably shows through in their tone. Tang Mingling’s family background was better than most of theirs. These people were polite to her on the surface but mocked her behind her back for being abandoned by her husband, purely out of jealousy that she could afford her high value without relying on a man.
Tang Mingling knew this well but didn’t want to get entangled with them. She sipped her tea, listening to them talk about their husbands, careers, and children.
The tech mogul’s wife suddenly mentioned with great interest, “Do you know Ji Xun?”
“Isn’t she the second daughter of the Ji family?” Some of the people in the group had known them since childhood. One of them happened to be sick during the last cocktail party and hadn’t seen Ji Xun.
“My husband says Miss Ji is the founder of a unicorn company abroad. The company has been booming these past few years, securing several rounds of investment and taking on many government projects.” Her tone gradually became envious. “She seems to be planning to invest domestically this time. Many relevant manufacturers are rushing to visit her.”
Tang Mingling, who was sipping her tea, saw a slight movement in her eyes.
“Didn’t she come back this time to be an invited visiting professor at her alma mater? It’s really her; she’s always been outstanding since she was a child.” After saying this, the woman suddenly recalled Tang Mingling’s connection with Ji Xun. “Speaking of which, Mingling and she were also rivals before, both constantly hovering between first and second place.”
Tang Mingling glanced at her, put down her teacup, and smiled, “I can’t compare now. Ji Xun even came to my house a few days ago to catch up.”
When the others heard that she had a connection with Ji Xun, their attitudes immediately shifted, especially the wife of the tech company owner, whose tone suddenly became extremely warm. “I didn’t expect Mingling to be on such good terms with Miss Ji. Do you have time to organize a tea party and introduce Miss Ji to us? It would be helpful for everyone to know such an excellent woman.”
The others nodded in agreement.
Tang Mingling smiled and accepted. “If there’s an opportunity, I’ll ask for her opinion.”
Tang Mingling deliberately returned home after Ji Xun had left. The house was quiet, as if no one were there. She went straight to the second floor and entered the study. As she pondered, she casually took off her outer coat and hung it on the rack.
She truly hadn’t expected to hear about Ji Xun even at a boring women’s gathering, and they all seemed to admire her. But the funniest part was that she was shamelessly using Ji Xun to gain a shallow sense of superiority.
She also recalled Ji Xun asking her if she was willing to be a long-term partner after that chaotic state… now she was shamefully tempted.
“Ji Xun, you really are…” She thought bitterly about how the other woman was clearly a pervert, yet excelled at faking a perfect facade to deceive everyone.
“Looking for me?” A familiar voice suddenly appeared behind her.
Tang Mingling was so startled that her side slammed into the corner of the desk. The pain made her immediately bend over, but she still turned around, only to find Ji Xun sitting on the sofa. “How are you here…” Shouldn’t she have gone back by this time?
Seeing her bent over in pain, Ji Xun’s eyes showed no emotion. She stood up gracefully and walked to her side, looking down at her. “I hadn’t said hello to you today, so I stayed to wait for you,” she said, her voice slightly cool.
“Now that you’ve said hello, you can leave.” Already embarrassed enough, Tang Mingling refused to remain in a vulnerable position. She forced herself to stand straight and met her gaze.
“You just called my name. Is there something you wanted?” Ji Xun reached out to touch her hair, but Tang Mingling dodged her. She smiled.
Tang Mingling pulled away, increasing the distance between them. Only then did she realize that only the two of them were in the study. Damn it, she cursed under her breath. Although a little nervous, she maintained a strong front: “You misheard.”
Ji Xun was dressed in a cream-colored knit cardigan paired with a long skirt today. It was an unassuming outfit, yet it couldn’t hide the inherent assertiveness in her bones. She walked toward Tang Mingling and pulled her into her arms with one hand. “Does it still hurt?” The free hand covered the spot where she had hit herself, and her tone was gentle.
“Let go of me…” Tang Mingling frowned, yet the other woman’s strength was surprisingly great. The more she struggled, the more she fell into her arms, practically pressing against her body in resistance.
“That’s enough. Don’t move,” Ji Xun stopped her in a low voice. “You don’t want me to just fuck you right here, do you?”
Tang Mingling froze. If she could barely pretend the last accident never happened, Ji Xun’s direct threat this time truly scared her. She had no doubt that the other woman would actually do something right here.
“Tang Mingling,” Ji Xun said, her tone softening when she finally quieted down. “You know that being with me is very suitable for you, right?”
Tang Mingling remained silent. However, that afternoon’s gathering made her deeply realize that Ji Xun… was no longer on the same level as her. In the eyes of others, she was an entrepreneur with a great future, famous and talented. That sense of pleasure from being admired and envied was something she was now getting only through Ji Xun.
“We become partners. You can get what you want. And I…” She grabbed Tang Mingling’s hand and put it on the already hard genitalia through her skirt. “Also need a woman. Wouldn’t it be great for us to get what we need from each other?”
Tang Mingling felt the firmness in her hand and slowly looked up, only then realizing that Ji Xun was slightly taller than her. She met her gaze.
If it was a mutually beneficial partnership, she didn’t seem to be losing out. And it wasn’t that she didn’t have physiological needs; she just never thought of finding someone again. If it was Ji Xun, the envy and warmth of those women in the afternoon, upon hearing she was familiar with Ji Xun, greatly satisfied her vanity.
She finally conceded, “I can consider it. But I have a few conditions.”
Ji Xun looked at her.
“First, you must appear to be pursuing me or be intimate with me in public. Second, we are merely partners for mutual benefit, and either party can end the relationship anytime. Third, you cannot have multiple sexual relationships simultaneously; I find it disgusting. Fourth, neither of us has the right to interfere with the other’s private life. Do you accept?” Once she relaxed her mindset, Tang Mingling was no longer so afraid of her.
“I agree to everything you said. But I have one request.” Ji Xun looked at her with deep eyes, her gentle voice discussing with her as if negotiating. “Shouldn’t we have a trial run tonight to confirm that we are both satisfied?” She tried to entice the other woman to agree to her idea.
Understanding what she meant, Tang Mingling’s breathing became inexplicably rapid. After a moment of silence, she finally compromised and said, “G-go take a shower first.”
