Giving You Dawn and Dusk - Chapter 24
Huayue International, top floor.
Haizhou City at night was as bright as day. Traffic flowed like a river, and the whole city was still immersed in its clamor.
But a night party had already begun inside the suite.
The Omega’s voice was delicate, her body soft, her vocal cords pulsing like undulating waves.
The woman standing outside the suite shed her black suit, casually tossing it onto the sofa.
While waiting for the occupants to finish, she stood by the window and lit a cigarette, opening the window halfway. The smoke merged with the late autumn breeze, and the tip of the cigarette glowed crimson.
Before long, the sounds inside the suite gradually subsided.
A beautiful, mixed-race Omega with deep features and blue eyes emerged from the suite. She was only wrapped in a dark overcoat, her two slender white legs exposed. She appeared to be wearing nothing underneath.
Her face showed no sign of satiety.
She left the room in a huff.
After a long time, Cheng Ran came out of the room in a bathrobe. She walked to the window, wrinkling her nose, and said familiarly, “Give me one.”
Zhou Yian flicked the ash, implying, “That was quick.”
Cheng Ran: “…”
“It’s only because you came,” Cheng Ran glared at her, walking straight to the coffee table, picking up the cigarette box, and lighting one.
“Not very satisfying,” Cheng Ran took a drag of the cigarette, her hair casually draped over her shoulder. “That part was enhanced. It felt like pure silicone when I touched it.”
“Her face was okay.” Zhou Yian had finished her cigarette, flicking the butt into the trash can. She teased, “You saw Xu Qingzhu, so you casually picked a substitute, right? That one has probably been on many people’s beds.”
“No,” Cheng Ran said. “She’s new to the scene. Her first time.”
Zhou Yian raised an eyebrow, only smiling without commenting.
“What are you doing here?” Cheng Ran asked. “Didn’t you say we wouldn’t see each other for a while?”
“My darling won’t return my calls. I was bored, so I came to play with you,” Zhou Yian’s eyes were fixed on Cheng Ran. Cheng Ran pulled her bathrobe tighter, smoothing her long hair. The lit cigarette just brushed the ends of her hair, and an unpleasant smell of burning hair filled the room.
Zhou Yian lowered her head and chuckled softly, saying sarcastically, “Look how scared you are.”
Cheng Ran quickly put out the cigarette, tossing the butt onto the coffee table.
She pulled out several tissues to wipe her hair and hands, saying as she did so, “It’s because you’re bored. This joke isn’t funny.”
There was a hint of testing in her words.
“Isn’t it funny?” Zhou Yian put one hand in her pocket. “I thought I was the king of jokes.”
“That’s just your delusion,” Cheng Ran retorted without thinking.
Zhou Yian chuckled, shrugging indifferently. “Perhaps.”
“Alright, stop with the charades. Just tell me what you want,” Cheng Ran stood up, poured a glass of red wine, and took a small sip. “I’m getting sleepy.”
“Then let’s sleep together?” Zhou Yian curled her lips.
Cheng Ran: “…”
“Do you think that’s possible for me, an Alpha?” Cheng Ran scoffed. “You should reserve that idea for Liang Shi. I’m not participating.”
“Being the ‘pillow princess’ is quite enjoyable. Don’t you want to try?” Zhou Yian wore a black shirt today, with the top two buttons undone, exposing her beautiful collarbone.
She had an elegant, collarbone-length bob, black-brown. It perfectly framed her collarbone, where she wore a silver star pendant necklace.
Her shirt sleeves were rolled up halfway, revealing a faint crescent moon tattoo on her arm.
Frankly, she was very attractive.
Sleeping with her would probably be an experience.
However…
Cheng Ran curled her lips and sneered. “If you’re willing to be the ‘pillow princess,’ I might consider it.”
“Really?” Zhou Yian suddenly moved closer, her smile wicked. “Then let’s try it.”
Cheng Ran’s gaze flickered nervously.
She didn’t know if Zhou Yian was serious.
As a promiscuous Alpha, she had slept with at least a hundred women.
But they were all Omegas or Betas.
Beta bodies weren’t as soft as Omegas’, so she preferred Omegas.
She had never actually tried with an Alpha.
Mainly because if two Alphas slept together, the “pillow princess” could get sick.
Cheng Ran liked to play wild, but not to the point of getting herself killed. It wasn’t worth it.
At that moment, the room was silent. After a few seconds, Cheng Ran laughed and pushed Zhou Yian away. “Stop joking. I might take you seriously.”
Zhou Yian laughed and sat down, pulling another cigarette from the coffee table. “Just kidding.”
Her voice was lazy and husky, but it carried a hint of gloom. “I still prefer my darling.”
Cheng Ran sat down too. “Tell me, why did you come looking for me?”
Zhou Yian looked over, exhaling a puff of smoke. Her vision was momentarily obscured by the smoke. She smiled. “I didn’t think you’d be so soft-hearted.”
“What do you mean?” Cheng Ran asked.
Zhou Yian’s voice became fainter. “Why didn’t you sleep with Xu Qingzhu? Or why didn’t you let someone else sleep with her? I said I wanted to see the video, didn’t I?”
Cheng Ran inexplicably shivered.
She tossed her long hair back. “What’s the point? All you care about is getting Liang Shi.”
“But I love seeing my darling’s heart break,” Zhou Yian pressed her tongue against her teeth and clicked her tongue. “Especially when her heart breaks so much that she cries and comes begging me. That would interest me more.”
Cheng Ran: “…”
“Xu Qingzhu has PTSD,” Cheng Ran said. “If a death occurred, it would be difficult to handle.”
Zhou Yian glanced over. Cheng Ran lowered her head, avoiding eye contact.
“Didn’t I say I would handle it? All you need to do is follow my instructions,” Zhou Yian’s voice was even colder. “If you can’t even handle this much, how can I continue to cooperate with you? Or are you getting soft?”
Zhou Yian’s finger suddenly hooked under Cheng Ran’s chin. “You’d rather come back here to sleep with a manufactured commodity than with Haizhou’s Number One Omega. You really have a deep affection for my darling, don’t you?”
Cheng Ran was forced to meet her gaze. She saw no warmth in those eyes.
Only cold killing intent.
“You’re using the wrong word,” Cheng Ran retreated from her hold. “I broke up with Liang Shi. And I said, I don’t want a death on my hands.”
“This place isn’t exactly clean. What haven’t you done when you were having fun?” Zhou Yian smiled, but the smile didn’t reach her eyes. “I can’t continue cooperating with you if you’re like this.”
“Then let’s not cooperate,” Cheng Ran said. “This time is over; let’s leave it at that.”
Cheng Ran didn’t want to cooperate anyway; she didn’t like Zhou Yian’s condescending attitude.
“Is it really over this time?” Zhou Yian looked away. “Xu Qingzhu is completely fine, and you practically handed her over to my darling. What do you suppose they’ll be doing tonight?”
Cheng Ran: “…”
“Cheng Ran,” Zhou Yian stood up, picking up her suit jacket. “Don’t let me catch you being soft-hearted next time.”
Cheng Ran clenched her fists. “I told you, I’m not cooperating with you anymore.”
“Huaguang Group is currently bidding for the construction rights of the Haibay Bridge. How important do you think that is to your father?” Zhou Yian smiled. “Some things aren’t up to you. I’m being the bigger person; I’ll forgive you this time. But if you mess up again, I’ll tie you up, oh.”
Cheng Ran’s spine suddenly ran cold.
She felt she was cooperating with a venomous snake.
And this venomous snake might turn around and bite her at any moment.
Cheng Ran didn’t fully recover until Zhou Yian had left.
After a long time, she finished the wine in the glass, then suddenly hurled the glass to the floor.
The glass shattered immediately, sending shards everywhere.
Shit.
Zhou Yian was a total psycho.
//
The late autumn wind was cool. Liang Shi rushed downstairs carrying Xu Qingzhu.
Xu Qingzhu was wearing Liang Shi’s jacket. The person who normally looked quite tall seemed small curled up in Liang Shi’s arms. But her hands were not obedient, roaming from Liang Shi’s abdomen to her chest.
Even through the clothing, she could feel the softness.
Liang Shi nearly groaned several times from the unexpected touching. Fortunately, her jacket provided some concealment, making the movements less suggestive.
Xu Qingya followed alongside, saying as they went downstairs, “Sister Xuning hasn’t come down yet.”
“We’ll take your sister to the hospital first,” Liang Shi said. “We can’t worry about too much. Zhao Xuning is a doctor; she’ll take care of herself.”
Xu Qingya helped open the car door. Liang Shi placed Xu Qingzhu in the back seat.
But Xu Qingzhu clung to her arm, unwilling to let go, as if she could draw something from Liang Shi to cool and soothe her heat. Her soft, boneless hand landed on Liang Shi’s wrist, gently rubbing it. It didn’t seem like deliberate seduction, but rather pure instinct.
Not an intentional tease, but more seductive than one.
Liang Shi felt an uncontrollable fire rising in her lower abdomen. Her whole body was tingling. It shot from her wrist all the way to her toes. She couldn’t help but lick her lips and whisper, “Bamboo, be good. Let go.”
Her voice was gentle, trying to remain calm, but if listened to closely, one could hear a tremor in the end of her words.
She couldn’t control the physical instinct.
But she knew Xu Qingzhu was disoriented, but she was still sober.
It would be utterly shameless to take advantage of Xu Qingzhu’s compromised state.
Liang Shi believed she was barely a gentleman.
Unexpectedly, Xu Qingzhu not only didn’t let go when she heard her words, but her fingers traced upward from Liang Shi’s wrist, landing on her forearm, gently pinching the flesh there.
There wasn’t much flesh, but the spot she pinched felt particularly itchy.
It wasn’t just the skin there; her entire body felt itchy.
It was a tingly, pins-and-needles kind of itch.
Liang Shi suspected Xu Qingzhu’s hand was cursed.
She took a deep breath and said softly, “Bamboo, I’m taking you to the hospital. Can you let go first, please?”
“No…” Xu Qingzhu frowned, like a child. “No hospital.”
She was drunk first, then the blocker wore off, and she accidentally took an aphrodisiac. Her current state was far from ideal.
It was a testament to her self-control that she hadn’t started self-soothing in public.
Though her two legs were constantly rubbing together.
Earlier, she had even grabbed Liang Shi’s hand and guided it to herself.
Liang Shi was so startled she almost dropped her.
Liang Shi was inwardly miserable, but she could only continue to coax her. “Then we won’t go. How about I take you home? You’ll be fine after you sleep at home.”
Xu Qingzhu suddenly covered her mouth and dry-heaved.
“Watch out, she’s going to throw up,” Xu Qingya quickly warned.
Liang Shi hastily moved away to give her space, but Xu Qingzhu breathed some fresh air and felt slightly better.
She shook her head, looking wronged and pathetic.
Liang Shi was strangely reminded of the cat she used to keep.
It wasn’t really her cat.
She picked it up late one night on the way back to her hotel after work.
It was pouring rain. The cat was curled up in a small shed by the roadside, huddled against the strong wind, constantly licking its fur.
Liang Shi’s heart softened, and she took it home to keep.
It did keep Liang Shi company for a while.
In those lonely years, the cat briefly healed her.
Perhaps she just wasn’t fated to keep small animals.
It died less than a year later.
But Liang Shi clearly remembered the look on the cat’s face when she scolded it, and also when it secretly drank the wine she had hidden at home. Its expression was exactly like Xu Qingzhu’s now.
They both looked utterly pitiful, their eyes misty, with a hazy look, as if begging for forgiveness, yet also somehow wronged, saying: “I didn’t do it—”
Liang Shi summarized it as a demeanor of unjustified yet strong-willed innocence.
“I won’t throw up,” Xu Qingzhu bit her lower lip, choking out, “Take me home, please?”
It contained a hint of pleading, but the tone was clearly one of coquetry.
Liang Shi’s heart filled with even more pity. She nodded firmly. “Okay, we’re going home. But you have to let go of me first so I can drive.”
Xu Qingzhu looked at her. The misty gaze turned into tears that fell onto her flushed cheeks. A single tear hung on her long eyelashes, making her look fragile and easily breakable like a porcelain doll.
Liang Shi: “…”
Help me.
No one told her Xu Qingzhu’s personality had such a dramatic change when she was drunk!
She first thought she was a gentle goddess, then realized she was a cool beauty, and now she discovered she was innocently cute.
In short, there was a surprise every day.
Liang Shi was starting to break.
No one could withstand this.
Liang Shi felt that if Xu Qingzhu asked her now, “Will you take me to the moon?”
She would definitely agree unconditionally.
It would be a moment of impulsive madness, ignoring all consequences.
Perhaps, at this moment, she understood King You of Zhou’s actions a little better.
Although when she read that story, she thought King You was a useless, foolish ruler.
How could a person like that exist in the world?
But now, she realized she was too naive back then.
“Liang… Shi~” Xu Qingzhu whispered her name, the end of the word rising as if she was lightly biting her tongue when she spoke.
Liang Shi’s legs went weak, but she managed to brace herself to avoid making a fool of herself. She whispered back, her voice softened, “I’m here. What’s wrong?”
Xu Qingzhu gripped her arm, gently rubbing her head against her shoulder. Her hair landed right on Liang Shi’s collarbone.
Some strands of hair even slipped under the shirt and touched her skin.
Xu Qingzhu looked at her and suddenly smiled, a smile that made Liang Shi momentarily lose focus.
Liang Shi swallowed, trying to coax her again. “Bamboo, can you let go, please?”
“No,” Xu Qingzhu’s nasal voice was slightly heavy. She frowned slightly. Thinking of something, she suddenly licked her lips. “Meow~”
Liang Shi: “…”
Her heart skipped a beat.
When she made the cat sound, her expression was five-parts like a cat.
But she was much more seductive than a cat.
She simply lightly licked her lips, which immediately glistened with a radiant red, as if coated with the best lip gloss—no added color, just her body’s natural hue.
Liang Shi sighed deeply.
She felt like she had been sent here to endure a trial.
She used to think it was a trial of life and death. Now she thought it was a trial of love.
“She’s lost it,” Xu Qingya rubbed her forehead in exasperation from the side. “Sister Liang, please bear with her.”
This sentence brought Liang Shi’s wandering thoughts back.
It seemed Xu Qingzhu had this issue before; it wasn’t new today.
Xu Qingya was familiar with it.
“Has she always been like this?” Liang Shi asked carefully.
“She’s generally not normal when she’s drunk,” Xu Qingya was not polite at all. “Sometimes she acts like a cat, sometimes a dog, sometimes a pig. She imitates many animal sounds. Anyway, where are we going now?”
“I can’t drive,” Liang Shi said. “Let’s go home first. Your sister wants to go home.”
“Liang Shi…” Xu Qingzhu called her name again.
Liang Shi looked down. “I’m here.”
Xu Qingzhu was close to tears. Her cool, clear voice was now laced with sweetness.
She said, “I feel… so bad.”
Her words were disjointed. Her legs were clamped tightly together.
Her frown deepened, and tears kept falling.
Xu Qingya couldn’t bear it anymore and got out of the car. “Give me the car keys. I’ll drive.”
Liang Shi instinctively reached out the keys, but paused halfway. “You’re a minor. You don’t have a driver’s license, do you?”
Xu Qingya: “…”
“You sit in the back and take care of her,” Xu Qingya rubbed her ear. “I really can’t stand her. That voice… it’s too saccharine.”
She spoke with an air of exasperated disappointment.
But after saying that, she quickly ran to the front gate of Huayue International. She pointed to a security guard. “Help me out.”
The targeted security guard was stunned, pointing to himself. “Me?”
“Yes, you. Do you have a driver’s license?” Xu Qingya was completely unafraid of strangers.
The security guard nodded. “Yes.”
Xu Qingya pulled out two hundred yuan from her pocket. “Come with me. Drive my car.”
The security guard: “…”
Liang Shi, watching from the side, couldn’t help but give Xu Qingya a thumbs-up.
This little sister is too resourceful.
Xu Qingya sat in the passenger seat and quickly fastened her seatbelt.
She then flipped the rearview mirror down and instructed the security guard. “From now on, no matter what sound you hear, do not look back. Got it?”
The guard, forced from security to chauffeur: “?”
“Sister Liang, just pretend we don’t exist,” Xu Qingya said. “I’ll try not to listen. But please, don’t let Xu Qingzhu die.”
Liang Shi: “…”
She felt this sister knew a bit too much.
But then again, the kids these days knew a lot.
//
The white Porsche pulled out of Huayue International and merged into traffic.
The car was quiet, leaving only the sound of everyone’s breathing.
Even Xu Qingya and the temporary driver’s breathing became shallow.
Only Xu Qingzhu’s breathing remained slightly rapid.
Liang Shi sat there. Xu Qingzhu actively leaned into her. Her body was too hot; she was desperate to find something that could cool her down.
And the person next to her was the most suitable object.
Her hand was the most suitable object.
Her face also felt cool.
Xu Qingzhu’s hand rested on Liang Shi’s waist. From left to right, she seemed to be searching without any logic, clearly trying to pull away the obstructive clothing.
Liang Shi couldn’t take it anymore. She held her hand down and whispered, “Bamboo, can you please hold on a little longer?”
She didn’t know what kind of aphrodisiac Xu Qingzhu had taken.
But in this world, every medicine must have an antidote.
Xu Qingzhu, however, looked up, and tears suddenly fell from her slightly red eyes.
They came like beads on a broken string.
She cried without any expression, purely crying.
She didn’t even sob.
Liang Shi, who had performed countless crying scenes and was often praised by marketing accounts as the best in the industry, was stunned.
If this were acting, she deserved an Oscar.
“Don’t cry,” Liang Shi quickly searched for tissues, finding a packet in her pocket. She pulled one out and offered it to her, but Xu Qingzhu didn’t take it.
Liang Shi could only fold it and wipe her tears, softly coaxing her. “Bamboo, don’t cry. We’ll be home soon.”
After saying that, she handed her phone to Xu Qingya. “Call the housekeeper. Tell them to get the family doctor here.”
Xu Qingya took the instruction and complied, glancing back at her sister.
There was nothing to say. It was pure despair.
Heaven knew their sister was never allowed to touch alcohol at home.
The times her sister had been drunk were rare, and on those few occasions, she completely blacked out and had no memory of what she did.
From the moment she got drunk, she had no idea what she was doing.
Xu Qingya was completely resigned at this point.
A married daughter was like spilled water. Let her wife deal with this mess.
Liang Shi felt like she was being driven crazy.
Xu Qingzhu said nothing, just cried. The tears simply wouldn’t stop. Liang Shi kept handing her tissues.
After a while, Xu Qingzhu suddenly let out a small, quiet burp.
Her tears instantly stopped.
It was like a switch had been flipped.
This greatly impressed Liang Shi.
“Do you need to throw up?” Liang Shi asked.
Xu Qingzhu’s head rested on her shoulder. She leaned closer to her ear and suddenly gave it a light bite.
In that instant, goosebumps erupted on Liang Shi’s skin.
She felt like she had been hit by an electric current, tingling all over.
“Do you think I don’t know anything?” Xu Qingzhu licked the tip of her tongue. The moist touch landed on Liang Shi’s ear, making her ear twitch slightly.
But her heart tightened.
Know what?
“You slept with Miaomiao the night we got married, didn’t you?” Xu Qingzhu’s voice was very low, carrying a hint of desolation and resentment.
It was like a bucket of cold water poured over her head.
Liang Shi instantly sobered up.
So Xu Qingzhu was talking about the original host.
What were her feelings for the original host?
Love?
Or dependence?
Liang Shi wasn’t sure.
The book didn’t elaborate much. It only said that later, when Xu Qingzhu was with her true love, the Alpha, she described her feelings for the original host this way: “She was like driftwood I grabbed when I was floating alone on the sea. Later, when I reached the shore, she was useless. I was grateful that she saved my life, but then I found she was rotten and decaying, worse than a pile of junk. The most correct choice was to discard her quickly. I tried to carve her into a beautiful wood sculpture, but she wasn’t worthy of my expensive carving knife. So if you ask me if I ever loved her? I can only say, I don’t know.”
This was a relatively literary way of expressing it.
But it accurately described Xu Qingzhu’s feelings for the original host.
It boiled down to three words: I don’t know.
All of Xu Qingzhu’s actions before seemed to weave a net, rapidly pulling Liang Shi into an illusion.
It gave Liang Shi a momentary delusion, causing her to misunderstand her own feelings.
But if she thought carefully, they had only known each other for a few days.
How could she possibly fall for someone in a few days?
Perhaps it was because the System had forcibly tied them together, and she had pieced together Xu Qingzhu’s life through minute details.
That’s why she had the illusion of knowing her for a long time, of being very familiar with her.
In reality, they were just slightly acquainted roommates.
Not even friends.
Once she figured this out, Liang Shi felt less burdened.
And Xu Qingzhu was still talking.
“And a month ago, you lied to me about going on a business trip, but you actually went to Diya Hotel with Cheng Ran. You played there for three days and three nights.” Xu Qingzhu articulated every word clearly. “There were seven of you sleeping together, weren’t there?”
“There were two Omegas and two Betas that day. How were they? Were they all better-looking and had better figures than me?” Xu Qingzhu laughed softly, then guided Liang Shi’s hand to her own chest, where it rested on her softness, separated only by a thin tank top.
The pure cotton material felt good to the touch.
Slightly round, slightly soft.
Liang Shi froze, afraid to move.
Xu Qingzhu said, “And three months ago, you went to Cheng Ran’s birthday party. That night, you slept with a celebrity, didn’t you? She even sent me a picture of the two of you on the bed, naked.”
She suddenly grabbed Liang Shi’s collar. “Did you think I was stupid? That I didn’t know anything, so I deserved to be lied to, that I deserved to be played with?”
“Just because my family took the Liang family’s money, I deserved to be humiliated by you? I did everything you asked. I cleaned the three-hundred-square-meter house alone, made you breakfast, and even had to change the sheets you rolled around on with other women. Every time you brought a crowd home, you brought women into our room to sleep. I had to give up my spot to you, just because I wouldn’t let you touch me, right?” Xu Qingzhu was gritting her teeth at the end, staring intently at her.
“I just wouldn’t let you touch me,” Xu Qingzhu said darkly. “Liang Shi, I find you disgusting.”
“If I didn’t think I liked you back then, why would I have married you?” Xu Qingzhu was drunk, but her logic was completely intact. It even sounded like she was using her drunkenness to vent her inner dissatisfaction.
But if Xu Qingzhu hadn’t been drunk, she would never have said these things.
“You know how dirty you are, don’t you?” Xu Qingzhu patted her face. “Like now, I feel so bad, so bad. I know I’m drugged, but I still don’t want you to touch me. I’ll take care of myself. I don’t need you.”
Liang Shi grabbed her hand and whispered, “Bamboo, you’re drunk.”
“Yes, I’m drunk,” Xu Qingzhu sneered. Her head leaned back on Liang Shi’s shoulder, lazy and making a seductive sound.
Liang Shi felt a profound sense of sitting in the lap of temptation yet remaining chaste.
No one who heard Xu Qingzhu’s words would have any reaction.
Xu Qingzhu’s hand moved over her own body, tracing a path from her chest downward, following the winding curve, stopping at her leg.
Her slender fingers stroked her skin, pushing away the jacket draped over her.
Her face was redder than before, and her gaze was gradually becoming hazy, tinged with desire.
It was different from before.
Liang Shi knew it was the next wave of the drug’s effect arriving.
She could only try her best to cover Xu Qingzhu with the jacket, preventing her from doing anything more extreme.
But Xu Qingzhu was currently rubbing against Liang Shi. She kept moving closer. Liang Shi shifted to the side until she was completely cornered against the car door, with nowhere else to go.
This conveniently allowed Xu Qingzhu to rest her long legs casually on the car seat. Her hand slipped under the tank top. She seemed to pinch something, letting out a satisfied moan.
She even tilted her head back, right under Liang Shi’s chin.
It made Liang Shi afraid to look at her.
Xu Qingzhu’s hand slipped out and rested on Liang Shi’s chin, saying pitifully, “Why aren’t you looking at me?”
Liang Shi: “…”
How dare I look?
Besides, Xu Qingzhu’s state was too confusing.
It made Liang Shi seriously suspect she was acting.
But her eyes didn’t seem like it.
She could only conclude that this person was truly amazing.
“Will you look at me, please?” Xu Qingzhu burrowed into her arms. While Liang Shi was distracted, her hand slipped under her shirt from the bottom, and her hot, damp fingers landed right on her bra.
Xu Qingzhu leaned close to her, her eyes glistening. Her voice was very low, but the upward lilt at the end was extremely seductive. “Can I kiss her, please?”
Liang Shi grabbed her hand. “Bamboo, stop playing around.”
Hearing this, Xu Qingzhu pouted aggrievedly, but her hand slipped past the smooth fabric.
The feeling of skin against skin was the most direct.
It felt like a clash of souls, a sudden collision of spirits.
Liang Shi sighed and looked down at Xu Qingzhu.
Xu Qingzhu was rubbing against her.
Like a child who didn’t get the candy they wanted.
Liang Shi knew she wanted it.
But she couldn’t take advantage of her compromised state.
Liang Shi just took her hand out. “Bamboo, can you go to sleep now, please?”
Xu Qingzhu’s eyes momentarily cleared, but she tilted her head in confusion. After a moment, she frowned and asked, “Are you Liang Shi?”
Liang Shi: “…”
Xu Qingzhu was going to drive her crazy!
“You don’t seem like her,” Xu Qingzhu looked at her clear eyes, then tapped her own head. She couldn’t think clearly now, so using her brain hurt a little. She childishly kicked the car door, staring intently at Liang Shi. “Are you Liang Shi?”
Liang Shi: “…I am.”
She was.
Her name was Liang Shi too.
No problem there.
She was just not the Liang Shi of this world.
She wasn’t that kind of trash.
“You’re not,” Xu Qingzhu insisted.
Liang Shi was just as firm. “I am.”
“You’re not~” Xu Qingzhu’s voice rose at the end, with a hint of flirtation. As she said the last word, she grabbed Liang Shi’s collar. While Liang Shi was distracted, she pulled her straight down. Their faces were inches apart. Their hot breath mingled on each other’s faces. They only needed to lean in slightly to kiss.
Xu Qingzhu’s eyes fluttered, as if trying to look through her eyes to see the real her.
A few seconds later, she gave a cunning smile. “I know your secret too.”
Liang Shi: “…Oh.”
She was going to mention where the original host slept with whom again, wasn’t she?
It wasn’t her who did the sleeping.
She had always maintained her integrity and hadn’t even had a relationship yet.
Liang Shi felt she was immune.
But unexpectedly, Xu Qingzhu whispered, “You’re not Liang Shi.”
Liang Shi: “?”
“Are you from Planet B612?” Xu Qingzhu’s eyes looked genuinely innocent.
It seemed the drug’s effect was wearing off.
But was she truly losing her mind when she got drunk?
Seriously, just now, Liang Shi almost thought she had been exposed.
Although she had been consistently OOC since arriving, she didn’t think having her identity revealed at this moment would be a good thing.
She just didn’t want to live the original host’s life anymore.
After all, her time might be limited.
She even wondered if, when her conquest target saw through her identity and consequently felt an increased goodwill toward her, she would have Luck Value deducted?
Fortunately, it was just a false alarm.
Her idea was simple: even if she was OOC all the time, this body was still Liang Shi herself.
No one would suspect anything as ridiculous as transmigration.
As long as she stubbornly denied it, everyone would eventually believe she had turned over a new leaf.
Liang Shi covered Xu Qingzhu with the jacket, tightly hiding all the alluring parts, afraid that even a tiny exposure would make her thirsty and unable to restrain herself.
But Xu Qingzhu was too hot and kept struggling.
“You’re not Liang Shi,” Xu Qingzhu repeated. “Who are you then?”
Liang Shi was helpless. “You’re drunk. I am Liang Shi.”
Xu Qingzhu shook her head. “No, you’re not.”
After saying that, she giggled. “But compared to her, I like the current you better, though.”
Liang Shi smiled gently. “Is that so?”
“Of course.” Xu Qingzhu stuck out her pinky finger. “You just make me feel a little bit of… heart flutter.”
Liang Shi: “…”
Was she seriously not trying to flirt?
She was only smiling, but Liang Shi’s heart couldn’t help but stir.
Liang Shi didn’t speak, slightly turning her face away.
Xu Qingzhu’s head was resting on her lap. She suddenly rolled over, her voice muffled, but Liang Shi heard her clearly.
She said, “I heard being bitten is very comfortable. Do you want to try?”
Liang Shi: “…”
Liang Shi’s poker face was about to break. She pulled her up, rejecting her self-righteously. “No.”
Meeting Xu Qingzhu’s curious gaze, Liang Shi said, “It will hurt.”
Xu Qingzhu leaned closer and whispered, “Then how about licking it?”
Liang Shi: “…”
Oh, my heavens.
Did she even know what she was saying?
Liang Shi felt like she was about to explode.
She felt that if this continued, either she or Xu Qingzhu would go crazy.
Either Xu Qingzhu would wake up tomorrow, realize everything she had done and said, wish she could shout “I’m a pig” from the rooftop three times, and then jump off.
Or Liang Shi would push open the car door right now and jump out.
Between the two, the latter should be a low-probability event.
And given her desire to live, it shouldn’t happen, but… she felt that anything was possible now.
Xu Qingzhu’s lips were near her ear. Her chin rested on Liang Shi’s head. Her cool voice was infused with a hint of seduction. “Will you help me, please?”
She rubbed her legs, sounding like she was pleading. “I feel so bad.”
Liang Shi: “…”
“We’re here,” Xu Qingya’s voice rang out. She unbuckled her seatbelt, opened the door, and got out, her movements flowing like water.
She even quickly dragged the temporary driver out of the driver’s seat.
Only the two of them were left in the car.
Liang Shi felt like she was going to spontaneously combust from the heat.
She opened the car door. Fresh air flowed in. Just as she was about to get out, Xu Qingzhu grabbed her hand and suddenly brought it to her mouth, her tongue lightly grazing the back of Liang Shi’s hand.
It was a very light action.
And it wasn’t overtly sexual.
Done by her, it even looked incredibly beautiful.
Her pleading posture was exactly like the cat Liang Shi used to keep. She looked at her pitifully. “Will you lick me like this, please?”
Liang Shi: “…”
Seriously, she would bet anything.
Xu Qingzhu would definitely regret this when she woke up tomorrow.

The family doctor had been waiting at the house for a while, just for Liang Shi to bring Xu Qingzhu back.
After a brief examination, the family doctor gave Xu Qingzhu an injection and placed a suppressant patch on her scent gland.
Xu Qingzhu quickly fell asleep.
Liang Shi finally felt that the heart-stopping moment was over.
When she escorted the family doctor out, Xu Qingya was standing at the door playing on her phone, chewing gum.
Seeing them emerge, she looked up and asked, “She’s asleep?”
She showed none of the worry she had at Huayue International.
Liang Shi nodded. “Yes.”
Xu Qingya patted her shoulder. “That was tough on you.”
Liang Shi: “…”
She couldn’t resist asking, “When she gets drunk, is she just…”
She couldn’t quite describe it.
But she picked the most suitable term from her vocabulary. “…Like she has multiple personalities?”
Xu Qingya smiled and nodded. “I can only say my sister is a treasure.”
Liang Shi: “…?”
“When she was drunk before, she would even perform ‘breaking stones on the chest’ and fire breathing. Including, but not limited to, trying to gather her six friends to go save her grandpa with her,” Xu Qingya ruthlessly exposed her sister’s past.
Liang Shi: “…”
This was the first she’d heard of it.
Xu Qingya finished speaking and turned to walk downstairs. But after taking two steps, she suddenly stopped and called out very seriously, “Sister Liang.”
Liang Shi answered, “Yes?”
“I told you, didn’t I? My sister is spoiled and can’t do rough work,” Xu Qingya said. “I’m the one who cooks her instant noodles at home. So, in this big villa, will you make her clean?”
Liang Shi: “…”
She was just a teenager, but her words carried a sense of pressure.
Although the pressure wasn’t enough to genuinely intimidate Liang Shi.
Liang Shi wondered how much Xu Qingya had heard in the car earlier.
Liang Shi could only confess, “Maybe in the past, but not anymore.”
Her answer was quite subtle.
But Xu Qingya understood. She nodded and walked downstairs without looking back. “I hope you keep your word.”
Liang Shi finally relaxed.
When the villa quieted down and the entire house was silent, Liang Shi took out her phone.
She found the blocked list and unblocked Cheng Ran’s number.
After a long time, she sent a text message.
