“Xiao Shu, you look terrible today,” Xu Yuxi said with a laugh as she walked over to Shu Qian’s desk with a folder. “You’ve been on leave for a few days, you should be energized.”

Shu Qian looked up, understanding the warning in her words. She lowered her eyes and smiled shyly. “I’m sorry, Sister Yuxi. I haven’t been feeling well the past few days. I feel a bit better after resting at home. I’m so sorry that it’s affected my work. Is there a problem with the file?”

Xu Yuxi nodded. “I have some family matters to deal with. I’ll have my assistant, Xiao Shu, assist you these few days.”

Qi Qing agreed with a nod. “It must be tiring to handle all the work by yourself. If there’s someone worth training, you should give it a try.” She knew Xu Yuxi wasn’t the type to hide talent; her standards were just a little high. But because of this, Qi Qing trusted her judgment completely.

After getting her leave approved, Xu Yuxi went out to find Shu Qian and give her instructions.

Qi Qing stared at the panel, deep in thought. The scent on that assistant… it was so familiar. She remembered Xu Yuxi mentioning this assistant a few times. Thinking that they would have more contact in the future, she was about to speak when the elevator reached the floor and the door opened.

The assistant said, “CEO Qi, this is my floor,” and quickly stepped out of the elevator.

That phrase, “this is my floor”… it sounded a little familiar, too. Qi Qing watched her back until the elevator doors closed.
