Summary
Synopsis:
One night, sixth-grader Ye Chengji received two pieces of bad news at once.
Her mother had brought home a man—and that man was an alcoholic gambler.
Her new stepsister was the villainous Omega from an entertainment-industry novel she had seen in a dream.
Before long, Ye Chengji, who had originally intended to remain strangers with Zhu Letao and peacefully stay out of each other’s way, discovered a third piece of bad news: her life seemed to have been forcibly bound to her new sister’s by some mysterious power.
Whenever Zhu Letao did something bad, time would rewind for Ye Chengji, trapping her in that same period and forcing her to repeat it endlessly.
To avoid being permanently stuck in this time-loop bug, twelve-year-old Ye Chengji was forced to become the guardian of a nine-year-old brat.
—
Zhu Letao had the face of an angel, but she was stubborn beyond belief—coldhearted, obsessive, and vain.
Petty theft was routine for her. She bullied her classmates and even attempted to commit arson.
At first, Ye Chengji believed she could reform her with love.
For the first time in her life, someone who never allowed herself to be taken advantage of tried to rein in her violent temper and learn how to become a gentle, patient, and caring sister.
She bathed Zhu Letao, saved money to buy her candy, stayed up late teaching her how to solve problems, and carried her through floodwater during torrential rain.
But when Zhu Letao stole the money Ye Chengji had spent more than half a year saving, she could not even be bothered to apologize.
Eventually, Ye Chengji understood.
When dealing with this ungrateful little wolf, a soft heart was nowhere near as useful as a slap.
She struck Zhu Letao’s palms, made her copy lines as punishment, and confiscated the secret stash of money she had hidden away.
Zhu Letao temporarily settled down, like a stray dog that had finally been beaten into submission. Yet the resentment in her eyes only grew stronger, and in secret, she constantly searched for an opportunity to take revenge.
Until Ye Chengji’s head was split open by a beer bottle wielded by Zhu Letao’s drunken father while trying to protect her.
—
When Ye Chengji presented as an Alpha at eighteen, Zhu Letao made a solemn and devout birthday wish:
She wished that when she came of age, she would become a very, very sweet Omega—the kind most perfectly suited to become Ye Chengji’s bride.
And then her wish came true.
—
There is one more thing I long to conquer, and that is your silence.
I want to twist it and tear it apart until you scream at me—even if it is only to curse me.
