Married the Second Generation Fox Demon with a Baby in a Flash Marriage - Chapter 42
Hu Mengmeng and Ye Xinyu discussed their plan in the car. Ye Xinyu would wait for the time being while Hu Mengmeng went to find Shen Yuexi in her demon form to see if there was anything suspicious.
While the general public didn’t know Ye Xinyu was a demon hunter, the registered demons certainly did; if Ye Xinyu showed up at someone’s door, it meant there was trouble. To avoid alerting the enemy, she sent Hu Mengmeng in first. Hu Mengmeng’s dual identity hadn’t been exposed yet, and she wanted to keep it that way. Conveniently, she had visited Shen Yuexi recently to buy spiritual fruit, so she could use that as an excuse to ask about any suspicious demons. Between foxes, they usually didn’t hide much from each other. Furthermore, Hu Mengmeng’s senses were at their sharpest when her fox bloodline was active, making it easier to spot abnormalities.
“Sister, will you be safe alone in the car?” Hu Mengmeng asked, worried.
“There are plenty of people at the school. Neither humans nor demons would dare act recklessly here. Go on, and stay alert. If you’re not out in ten minutes, I’m coming in to find you,” Ye Xinyu said.
In Ye Xinyu’s eyes, even though Hu Mengmeng’s cultivation was higher than the average Great Demon, she was still a child. Even with her bloodline active, she lacked experience. Ye Xinyu was actually a bit worried; a truly manipulative fox demon would be far more cunning and sinister than Hu Mengmeng.
“Okay. Call me if anything happens.” Ten minutes would go by quickly. Hu Mengmeng unsealed her fox bloodline, put on a mask, and headed up to the faculty building to find Shen Yuexi.
Inside Shen Yuexi’s living room, she wasn’t alone. A woman with heavy smoky eye makeup, wearing a black leather camisole and leather shorts, sat with her legs crossed, smoking a cigarette. She looked incredibly seductive.
“Hu Qingqing, get out of here right now! If you don’t leave, I won’t be polite!” Shen Yuexi said, her face clouded with rage.
“Yue-yue, your estrus period is here. I came to help you, and you’re chasing me away? That’s a bit ungrateful, don’t you think? I have to say, since you became a teacher, you look much more innocent. I really like this style,” the woman called Hu Qingqing said, flicking her ashes and smiling. Her voice was raspy—a low, smoky alto.
“Even if I suffocate to death, I won’t look for someone like you who only knows how to harvest others. I spent years earning this legal identity; don’t you dare think you can ruin it for me,” Shen Yuexi snapped.
“Living with a legal identity in human society—is that supposed to be noble? Being watched constantly, having them come to you first whenever something happens, reporting your whereabouts everywhere… Heh, how is that better than us? Yue-yue, quit this ‘teacher’ nonsense, okay? Come with me. It’s much more fun than being a teacher!” Hu Qingqing’s lips curled into a smirk. She uncrossed her legs and walked toward Shen Yuexi.
“You’ve only been here a few days, and look what you’ve done! Don’t think I don’t know it was you. Don’t force me to report you!” Shen Yuexi’s fingernails grew long and sharp as she pointed them at Hu Qingqing. Her fangs elongated as she bared her teeth.
“So what if I did it? They enjoyed it too. What use is that energy to a human man? Better to give it to me to boost my cultivation. You think I don’t know what you used to do? Otherwise, with your bloodline talent, how would you have four tails by now?! Do I really have to drag all your skeletons out of the closet?”
“How… how is that the same?! You nearly drained those girls dry! I had normal romantic relationships. I—”
“Normal romance? Shall I find all the ex-girlfriends you’ve had in the last fifty years and introduce them? Humans don’t care about your ‘process’.” Hu Qingqing crushed her cigarette and grabbed Shen Yuexi by the waist.
Shen Yuexi tried to claw her face, but Hu Qingqing caught her wrist. “I forgot to tell you—I’ve grown my fifth tail. You can’t beat me in a fight. If you report me, I’ll report you too. I left some of your fox fur at the scenes. Be a good girl. Those human women can’t satisfy us. Demons should be with demons.”
Hu Qingqing blew a puff of pink mist directly into Shen Yuexi’s face.
Shen Yuexi trembled with rage, knowing Hu Qingqing was capable of following through on her threats. However, her body—currently in the throes of estrus—began to move in a direction entirely contrary to her mind. It was becoming uncontrollable. After inhaling that mist, she lost control completely.
I’m finished, Shen Yuexi thought. After so many years of cultivation, she was about to be sucked dry by this detestable fox.
Just as she was struggling desperately against her own body, a knock sounded at the door.
“Sister Shen, are you there? It’s Little Fox.” Hu Mengmeng’s voice drifted in.
“Someone’s here!” Shen Yuexi cried out, her heart leaping with hope. The Little Fox is here! Finally!
“Pretend no one is home. Ignore it!” Hu Qingqing muttered, tearing at Shen Yuexi’s clothes.
“Ah! Little Fox, save me!” Shen Yuexi managed one loud, difficult cry.
Outside, Hu Mengmeng heard noises and sensed two auras inside. After knocking several times without an answer, she heard Shen Yuexi’s scream. Hu Mengmeng exerted her strength and violently forced the door open.
As the door swung wide, Hu Mengmeng’s eyes nearly popped out. In the living room, two fluffy foxes were entangled—seemingly in the middle of that. One fox was light brown; the other was a dappled brown and white. The room was thick with an intoxicating, lustful aura.
“Interfering with someone’s fun comes at a price!” Hu Qingqing leaped up and blew a puff of pink mist at Hu Mengmeng.
“Pink Seduction!” The term flashed through Hu Mengmeng’s mind. She dodged the mist and lashed out with a thread of spiritual energy, binding Hu Qingqing’s limbs.
Even though she dodged the direct hit, the mist had dispersed, and she inhaled a tiny bit. However, her cultivation was high enough that such a small amount didn’t immediately affect her.
Bound and trapped, Hu Qingqing looked at Hu Mengmeng with terror. She sensed the demonic aura on Hu Mengmeng—it was even stronger than her own. Hu Qingqing’s body suddenly expanded, snapping Hu Mengmeng’s spiritual bindings. She decisively leaped out the window and fled!
Hu Mengmeng moved to chase her, but before she could jump out the window, she was grabbed from behind.
“Little Fox, Sister has been looking for you so hard!” Shen Yuexi cried, hugging her.
Hu Mengmeng hurriedly pried her off. Shen Yuexi was still in her fox form, wagging her tail frantically and winking at Hu Mengmeng, completely lost in a delirious state of estrus.
Even though Hu Mengmeng didn’t have a lover, her aesthetics were human; she felt absolutely nothing for a literal fox. Seeing Shen Yuexi like this, Hu Mengmeng wanted to knock her out, but a four-tailed fox isn’t easily subdued. When tails began coiling around her, Hu Mengmeng dodged and sent out more spiritual threads, tying Shen Yuexi up like a cocoon.
Hu Mengmeng looked back out the window. The other fox was long gone. Fox demons are incredibly fast; that brief delay meant she could no longer see or sense her. At least Shen Yuexi was still here. She could find out who that fox was once Shen Yuexi cleared her head.
Hu Mengmeng took out her phone and called Ye Xinyu. The call connected just as the bound-up Shen Yuexi started acting up again.
“Little Fox, Little Fox, help Sister out, please!” Shen Yuexi said in a cloying, greasy voice. Hu Mengmeng hurriedly wrapped a thread around her mouth to shut her up.
On the other end of the line, Ye Xinyu’s expression changed visibly.
“Who is that calling?” Ye Xinyu’s voice was ice cold.
“Sister, um, it’s Teacher Shen. It’s not what you think, she—” Before she could finish, the call was disconnected.
Hu Mengmeng was startled. She ran out of the apartment, terrified that Ye Xinyu had misunderstood and driven off. Instead, she saw Ye Xinyu had already gotten out of the car and was walking up the stairs with hurried, aggressive steps.
Hu Mengmeng hurried down to meet her. Seeing Hu Mengmeng standing there unharmed, Ye Xinyu breathed a small sigh of relief, but her gaze remained terrifying.
“Sister, don’t be angry, it has nothing to do with me! When I got there…” Hu Mengmeng explained the situation as fast as she could. “Sister, that fox is very suspicious. She has light brown fur and used ‘Pink Seduction’—a special fox skill. If you breathe it in, it creates hallucinations and intense desire. Teacher Shen seemed to be forced by her; she was screaming for help.”
“The fox you described isn’t registered,” Ye Xinyu said flatly. “It’s troublesome that she escaped. Wake up Shen Yuexi and ask her.”
“She’s in estrus; she’s currently delirious. Foxes can usually only clear their heads by finding someone to… is there any human medicine that can suppress this state temporarily?” Hu Mengmeng looked at Ye Xinyu cautiously, feeling like she had messed up again and made her unhappy.
“There is such a medicine, but I don’t have it on me. We need to go to a hospital with a Taoist doctor. Bring her to the car; we’ll go buy the medicine first.”
Hu Mengmeng found a blanket, wrapped Shen Yuexi up, and carried her down. They drove to a hospital where a Taoist doctor prescribed the medicine. After a while, Shen Yuexi finally woke up. Ye Xinyu told Hu Mengmeng to maintain her demon form to ask the questions, while she listened from behind a curtain in the next room.
“Sister Shen, what happened back there?” Hu Mengmeng asked.
“Little Fox, you saved me! Did you see everything just now? I… I wasn’t willing. Her cultivation is higher than mine,” Shen Yuexi said, looking at Hu Mengmeng with a mix of gratitude and embarrassment.
“I saw. You don’t need to explain that. Who was that fox? I’ve never seen her. Where did she come from?”
“Little Fox, let me tell you—if you ever see her, you must stay far, far away. Her name is Hu Qingqing. She’s a hundred-year-old fox from a branch of Mount Qi. She doesn’t follow the right path; she specializes in harvesting the ‘Primal Yin’ of human girls. All those incidents near the school lately were her doing,” Shen Yuexi said.
“Do you know where she went? Or how to find her?”
“Why are you looking for her? She’s one of the top twenty demons on the Demon Hunter wanted list. You must not get involved with her. If you ever enter estrus, just come to me. I’ll serve you for free—any position you want. Looking for her will only hurt you. Even if she’s with her own kind, she only harvests; she doesn’t practice dual cultivation,” Shen Yuexi said urgently. Seeing Hu Mengmeng asking so much about Hu Qingqing, she thought Hu Mengmeng might be attracted to her—after all, Hu Qingqing was the extremely seductive type among foxes, with a very curvaceous body.
