Married the Second Generation Fox Demon with a Baby in a Flash Marriage - Chapter 45
As Hu Mengmeng departed, Hu Qingqing took a breath, feeling a trace of regret that she couldn’t have a “deep interaction” with her. However, she also felt fortunate that Hu Mengmeng was gone; at least she didn’t have to take any more beatings.
In the fox tribe, though her bloodline wasn’t particularly noble, her appearance was top-tier. Most foxes who didn’t know her background would easily be deceived by her. Unfortunately, this particular fox—despite having a first-class appearance—had struck her so many times in a single breath without holding back. Hu Qingqing felt as if her ribs were broken and she had suffered internal injuries. That girl truly didn’t know how to “pity the fragrant grass and jade”; she was violent in the extreme.
No matter how good the appearance or bloodline, Hu Qingqing didn’t dare think about her anymore. If she was gone, she was gone.
Hu Qingqing stood up, wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth, and glanced at the remaining people in the bar. Except for Lin Yuanya, everyone else lacked a Clarity Talisman and was in a state of delirious lust, pairing up and performing shameful acts.
Lin Yuanya had been released by Hu Qingqing when Hu Mengmeng attacked. Her legs were so weak from fear that she couldn’t run; by now, she had only managed to move a few meters. Hu Qingqing looked at Lin Yuanya and licked her lips; there was still one decent prize left.
“Just as well. I’m injured and I’ve offended the Demon Hunter, so I won’t be polite!” Hu Qingqing strode over and grabbed Lin Yuanya. Lin Yuanya screamed, her face full of terror as Hu Qingqing blew a puff of pink mist into her face.
“Tsk tsk. Not as pretty as that Demon Hunter, but at least she’s a virgin. Tender and fresh, not bad… Little darling, look at me. You like me, don’t you? You want to kiss me, don’t you?” Hu Qingqing spoke in a coiling, seductive voice as she locked her hands around Lin Yuanya’s waist.
“Senior Sister Ye, I… I love you… I want…” Lin Yuanya’s expression shifted from horror to excitement. Her eyes grew dazed and obsessed. With a blushing face, she reached out her arms proactively to hug Hu Qingqing’s neck, embracing her.
The physical touch made Lin Yuanya even more excited. She had dreamed of this scenario countless times; finally, the dream had come true.
“Good, so good…” Hu Qingqing smiled. In just a second or two, Lin Yuanya’s clothes were gone.
Lin Yuanya was both excited and afraid, yet she still clung to the other woman. Hu Qingqing kissed her, extracting the vital energy she had stored for nearly twenty years, while simultaneously taking Lin Yuanya’s Primal Yin.
Lin Yuanya’s tears fell. Hu Qingqing had no intention of being gentle.
A few minutes later, Hu Qingqing’s ears suddenly perked up. She heard movement. Since she was currently injured and didn’t want to get involved in a fight, she pushed Lin Yuanya away without hesitation, shifted into her fox form, leaped through the window, and vanished.
Lin Yuanya collapsed to the floor and fell unconscious, her hair veiling her face.
The arrivals were Ye Xinyu’s driver and several armed officials. They burst through the door, and the lights inside suddenly flared to full brightness. Seeing the scene inside, even the men—who were used to big scenes—couldn’t help but feel embarrassed.
“A demon has caused chaos! Everyone stay alert! Male team members maintain the perimeter, female team members separate these people immediately!” someone shouted. The team divided the tasks, and the entire bar was surrounded.
On the other side, Hu Mengmeng carried Ye Xinyu all the way out. Her speed was so fast that even if someone saw her in broad daylight, they only saw a red blur flashing past.
Hu Mengmeng didn’t stop until she reached the back mountain of Fengcheng University, arriving at a deserted gazebo. Ye Xinyu had been lying on Hu Mengmeng’s back—which was as soft as velvet and smooth as silk—held in place by her tails. Despite the high speed, the ride hadn’t felt bumpy.
However, Ye Xinyu’s heart was apprehensive. She didn’t know what state Hu Mengmeng was in or if her mind was clear. She had a guess: both Hu Qingqing and Shen Yuexi were in their “special period,” and there was an 80% chance Hu Mengmeng had reached hers as well.
Ye Xinyu knew a bit about the fox tribe’s estrus period. It occurred twice a year in spring and autumn, usually lasting about ten days, though the exact timing depended on the individual fox’s constitution.
Before Ye Xinyu could think further, she was scooped up by a tail and pulled into Hu Mengmeng’s embrace. Six tails, each longer than her body, coiled around them like a giant fluffy cocoon, encasing Ye Xinyu in the middle. Ye Xinyu felt as if she were lying on a red velvet carpet.
In her full fox bloodline state, Hu Mengmeng appeared profoundly bestial. Her fangs were sharp and her eyes were narrow—the inner corners hooked and the outer corners tilted upward as if she were wearing eyeliner. Her amber-red pupils were as crystal clear as gemstones.
“Mengmeng, can you hear me?” Ye Xinyu touched Hu Mengmeng’s face, trying to wake her. The moment she finished speaking, a large red tongue licked her face. Her entire face was drenched. There was no foul smell; the scent of the saliva was simply the familiar scent of Hu Mengmeng.
Hu Mengmeng seemed not to understand at all. She simply held Ye Xinyu firmly in her arms and sniffed her repeatedly—from her face to her ears and neck. Ye Xinyu’s face and neck were covered in saliva. When Hu Mengmeng reached the clothes, her teeth bit into the fabric, tearing the clothes Hu Qingqing had already damaged even further until they fell away completely.
“Mengmeng, don’t… change back, okay? Change back to human, let’s go home…” Ye Xinyu said, her hand trembling against Hu Mengmeng’s fur. She had a feeling that Hu Mengmeng might swallow her whole.
Hu Mengmeng paused upon hearing her voice. She bared her teeth and looked at Ye Xinyu, panting. Her fangs scraped against Ye Xinyu’s skin, leaving red marks. Ye Xinyu ignored the pain and stared directly into Hu Mengmeng’s eyes.
Hu Mengmeng only hesitated for a moment before her mouth opened again, scanning over Ye Xinyu as if she wanted to taste every inch of her.
“Little Fox, I am Sister. Don’t you remember me? My stomach is uncomfortable, the baby is acting up, can you feel it? Don’t hurt it.” Ye Xinyu’s whole body was shaking. As Hu Mengmeng’s nose neared her abdomen, she raised her voice and placed her hand over her belly.
The little one had been thrashing because of the spiritual energy Ye Xinyu had expended earlier.
As Ye Xinyu spoke, Hu Mengmeng paused at her lower abdomen. The red light in her eyes churned, and she let out a low growl as if struggling with something. The Clarity Talisman on her forehead flashed with golden light.
“Little Fox…” Ye Xinyu kept calling out her childhood nickname.
Hu Mengmeng growled low. Spiritual energy gathered there, soothing the restless little one and replenishing the energy Ye Xinyu had drawn from it earlier. Ye Xinyu’s body immediately felt much more comfortable, returning to its previous state.
After doing this, Hu Mengmeng released Ye Xinyu and let her stand on the ground. She retreated several steps and suddenly slammed her head into a stone pillar in the gazebo. After cracking one pillar, she slammed into another. Then she shook her head violently, gave Ye Xinyu one last look, turned, and leaped away from the gazebo in a flash.
“Little Fox, come back!” Ye Xinyu was startled and shouted out in a panic. This was even more terrifying than if Hu Mengmeng had actually tried to eat her. In this state, if she ran off, where would she go? What would the consequences be?
“Come back!” Ye Xinyu cried, looking at Hu Mengmeng, who had jumped onto a large cedar tree and was nearly snapping the branches with her weight.
Hu Mengmeng didn’t return. After a few more leaps, she disappeared. Ye Xinyu was anxious and desperate. She found her phone among the torn clothes.
“The gazebo on the back mountain… yes, send a helicopter immediately. An upgraded binding formation, pills to suppress the fox tribe’s estrus…” Ye Xinyu made a call to Huo Zhilan. Just as she hung up, a red shadow flashed and Hu Mengmeng leaped back.
She was incredibly fast. She had somehow obtained a set of clothes from somewhere and threw them beside Ye Xinyu.
“Little Fox, what are you doing? Don’t leave, I’m not at ease with you like this. You… continue if you must, just don’t hurt the baby!” Ye Xinyu picked up the clothes and took a breath, speaking to her.
Hu Mengmeng threw the clothes to her and leaped away again.
“Can’t hurt you!” Hu Mengmeng turned back to say. Her voice was extremely deep and raspy. After saying those few words, she leaped away and vanished once more.
Ye Xinyu’s eyes grew red, her heart aching for the girl.
While Ye Xinyu dressed herself in the tracksuit Hu Mengmeng had scavenged, the fox continued to run at high speed. Every minute or two, she would sprint past Ye Xinyu’s side, but she never stayed, disappearing again instantly.
Seeing this, Ye Xinyu seemed to understand Hu Mengmeng’s intent. She’s trying to wear herself out to suppress the urge.
By the time Hu Mengmeng was on her dozens of laps, the sound of the helicopter arrived. Ye Xinyu’s phone rang at the same time.
“Not necessary for now, wait a moment!” Ye Xinyu said into the phone.
When Hu Mengmeng returned again, her fur looked as though she had just been bathed—every strand was dripping with sweat. Not satisfied, she ran another ten or so laps. When she returned this time, she didn’t leave. She walked slowly to Ye Xinyu’s side, bowed her head with a face full of exhaustion, and nudged Ye Xinyu. Her fur began to grow shorter, and her body shrank. In a few moments, she became a tiny, “Chibi-version” fox. Her chubby body wobbled and she fell over. Her large, round eyes closed tight.
She was spent.
Ye Xinyu carefully picked up the Hu Mengmeng from the ground and kissed her ear.
“Silly girl!” Ye Xinyu whispered softly, carrying her down the mountain.
Huo Zhilan’s team met them on the mountain and escorted them to the villa. When they had left, they were both dressed neatly; upon their return, Hu Mengmeng’s clothes were gone, her phone was lost, and Ye Xinyu was wearing ill-fitting clothes. The two elders, Gu Yiying, and Tao Tao were all extremely worried.
While Hu Mengmeng was in a deep sleep, Ye Xinyu fed her the suppression pills Huo Zhilan had bought and explained the events to everyone.
“This Hu Qingqing is quite something,” Gu Yiying said after hearing the story. “For a brown-system fox to cultivate to five tails, who knows how many girls’ Primal Yin she has harvested. If we don’t get rid of this pest, every girl in the city needs to be on high alert. Tao Tao, you still want to go to school? Listen to me—it’s not safe to go out without at least a hundred talismans on you.” She pointedly warned her disciple.
“We must be careful. Don’t go out alone until she’s caught. Auntie Lan, how is the situation at the Night Color Bar? Did Uncle Zhang take his team?” Ye Xinyu asked. When Hu Mengmeng had taken her away, Hu Qingqing was still there with several girls.
“I checked. That Hu Qingqing you mentioned had already fled; she wasn’t at the scene. Most of the girls in the bar are fine, but one was drained of her Primal Yin and a significant amount of vital energy. It’s pitiable; she lost more than half her vital energy. A girl not even twenty years old now looks like she’s in her late forties or fifties. She’s aged.” Huo Zhilan shook her head.
“Vital energy maintains human health and the internal cycle of the five elements. Once it’s lost, the body ages rapidly and becomes extremely weak. It’s very difficult to replenish once it’s gone. Sucking someone’s vital energy is equivalent to murder. Auntie Lan… was that girl named Lin Yuanya?” Ye Xinyu asked after a pause.
“Yes, that’s her. Do you know her?” Huo Zhilan asked.
Su Mingli froze. She was all too familiar with Lin Yuanya.
“I suppose so. She’s the one who knocked Mengmeng out with a stun baton. It hit her head, and I don’t know what kind of effect it had; we need a Taoist doctor to check. Mengmeng was very abnormal just now, as if she didn’t recognize me.” Ye Xinyu followed up after receiving the confirmation.
Ye Xinyu truly didn’t know what to say about this. Every time she hunted a demon, it was because they harmed people; thus, hunting was an act of protection. But this time, Lin Yuanya had been the first to strike and injure Hu Mengmeng. Regarding her current fate, Ye Xinyu couldn’t muster much sympathy.
“Auntie Lan, tell the authorities to warn girls to protect themselves and avoid going out at night. If anything happens, notify me immediately.”
“Xinyu, demon hunting is too dangerous. Sigh… I think it’s better if you stop doing it as much as possible. You’re pregnant, and Mengmeng doesn’t understand anything yet,” Su Mingli said worriedly.
“Xinyu has already been reducing her commissions as much as possible. This time was mainly because…” Huo Zhilan explained the previous situation with the frame-up.
“That demon is so powerful, what are we going to do?” Su Mingli heard it was to prove Hu Mengmeng’s innocence and couldn’t say much more, but grew more worried.
“Auntie, this was an accident. Mengmeng is much more powerful than that demon. Once she moved, the demon was no match at all. We just need to get through this crisis,” Ye Xinyu comforted her, though she remained worried about Hu Mengmeng.
After they spoke for a while, Su Mingli prepared food for Ye Xinyu. Mid-afternoon, Shen Qingyi arrived to check on Hu Mengmeng.
“Extreme exhaustion and overexertion. Her spiritual energy is completely drained. She has a slight concussion, but it shouldn’t be a major issue; she’ll be mostly recovered after a good sleep. She has officially entered her estrus period. The suppression medicine doesn’t actually solve the problem; it just delays it by about four or five days. Each time you take it, it delays it further, but the next breakout will be even more intense. Just provide proper relief; it’s fine even while pregnant, so long as you can keep her under control and keep things ‘just right’.” Shen Qingyi glanced at Ye Xinyu after the exam.
“Thank you, Dr. Shen,” Ye Xinyu said, her face turning red. Shen Qingyi truly was a doctor; she spoke about everything so clinically and detached.
Not long after Shen Qingyi left, Shen Yuexi unexpectedly showed up at the door.
“What are you doing here?” Ye Xinyu frowned at her.
“You really do live here. I smelled it just now—the aura released by the Little Fox! I can help her solve it! I haven’t had a girlfriend in five or six years, and you know my identity—I’m legally registered, healthy, and clean. You’re her master; surely you can’t suppress a contracted demon’s nature? That will ruin her. Using suppression pills will only make it worse.”
“I don’t need your help!” Ye Xinyu’s face was like frost.
“You don’t need my help? Are you going to help her then?!” Shen Yuexi challenged.
“I will help. I told you—she is mine!” Ye Xinyu said. She didn’t even let Shen Yuexi through the door, closing it firmly in her face.
Shen Yuexi stood outside the door, dumbfounded.
