Summary
Synopsis:
The meeting between Cheng Nuo and Lin Yiyan wasn’t romantic at all. Stranded in the rain, Cheng Nuo saw a hand reach out to her as a voice spoke in an enticing tone: “Will you come with me?”
Lured by sheer beauty, Cheng Nuo dizzily placed her hand in hers.
Lin Yiyan was, without a doubt, the perfect lover—wealthy, gorgeous, mature, and attentive. She could give Cheng Nuo everything she ever wanted. The only problem? This woman never spoke of love.
Cheng Nuo felt lost because of it, yet she couldn’t help but fall deeper into that tenderness, willingly becoming her “little lover.”
That was until the day Cheng Nuo saw that usually calm and self-controlled woman breaking down in uncontrollable agony before a tombstone. Only then did she realize that Lin Yiyan had always carried a “White Moonlight” (a lost first love) in her heart, loving her even in death.
As for Cheng Nuo? From start to finish, she was likely nothing more than a substitute.
“Did you ever love me?” Cheng Nuo asked humbly, clinging to a final shred of hope.
Lin Yiyan remained silent for a long time. Those lips that were so gentle when kissing her now coldly uttered three words: “I am sorry.”
Cheng Nuo’s heart died completely on that rainy night of their breakup.
When they meet again, the fragile “little white flower” has transformed into an enchanting rose with thorns, stunning everyone the moment she appears.
Lin Yiyan stares at the silhouette in the middle of the dance floor, held by someone else, and feels a sharp stab in her heart.
That was supposed to be her baby…
After that night—
Lin Yiyan kisses her delicately, pleading in a hoarse voice: “My dear Nuo Nuo, won’t you come back to me?”
Cheng Nuo pushes her away, a cold smirk playing on her lips: “Does Miss Lin think I’m as foolish as I used to be, or do you think I enjoy being someone’s substitute?”
Lin Yiyan hesitates to speak.
Cheng Nuo presses a finger against her lips: “Sorry, I don’t want to play with you this time.”
