Returning to the Villain Omega's High School Days - Chapter 9
As school was about to end, Xie Ning went back to her classroom to get her bag.
The students in front and behind her whispered to each other and asked her where she had been.
The teacher was still on the podium for self-study, and Xie Ning ignored them.
She pulled out her backpack, and a bunch of things fell out of her drawer, including colorful paper folded into heart shapes, letters with love poems, and flowers and chocolates.
Her deskmate’s face, as thin as a scorpion demon’s, leaned over and said happily, “Someone also gave you a planner. I knew you wouldn’t use it, so I took it first. Look—”
Xie Ning’s gaze fell on the 5B-sized notebook in her hand.
The pages were all colored and printed with exquisite ancient-style designs and beautiful fountain pen handwriting.
One line read: “A gentle spring breeze is not as good as you.”
Xie Ning had never cared for this kind of thing, but after ten or twenty years, no one would ever look at her this way again.
After she turned thirty, Xie Ning had never received flowers or chocolates again, so much so that she had even forgotten that she once had so many admirers.
It was like she was the protagonist in an anime.
Her deskmate was still immersed in her moment of pride.
Xie Ning saw that she had already written the name “Zhou Dangui” on the planner.
Next to it were some scratch notes for math multiplication and division.
Zhou Dangui said, as if it were the most natural thing in the world, “Xie Ning, I ran out of scratch paper, so I’m using this for now!”
Without a word, Xie Ning reached out and took the planner back. Right in front of Zhou Dangui, she tore off the page that was drawn on, crumpled it up, and threw it out.
With a “thump,” the paper ball landed precisely in the large garbage can by the door.
Zhou Dangui’s eyes widened.
She whispered, “What’s wrong? Did I make you angry?”
Xie Ning closed the planner and placed it on the desk. She said in a calm voice, “Don’t take my things without my permission!”
The students in front and behind her could all hear what Xie Ning said.
They all turned their heads to watch the show. Zhou Dangui was a little embarrassed.
She explained, “Xie Ning, Su Xingheng didn’t give it to you, and I thought… you were going to throw it away anyway…”
“What does this have to do with Su Xingheng?”
Xie Ning rolled her eyes.
“Since someone gave it to me, I can throw it away if I want to. It’s not for you to just take.”
Her voice was a little loud, and the classroom suddenly became noisy.
The person on the podium stopped what he was doing.
He said, “Xie Ning, don’t disturb others from their self-study.”
Zhou Dangui licked her lips and sat back down glumly, not saying anything else.
She was indeed in the wrong, but she had long been used to taking the things Xie Ning didn’t want.
Xie Ning had never cared about it before, so why was she so angry today?
Xie Ning picked up the notes on the floor, tore a few, and laughed it off.
Before the bell even rang, she put on her bag and walked out.
The planner and the love letters were left on the desk.
Since Xie Ning had said her piece, no one dared to take them.
Xie Ning stood at the door of the classroom on the fourth floor, waiting for the dismissal bell to ring so she could intercept Su Wan when the students came out.
The bell rang, and the female teacher inside said, “Class, I’ll hold you for five more minutes to finish teaching the subjunctive mood before we can go. All of you, sit down properly. Now everybody sit down, please…”
The students inside groaned. Xie Ning also hated when class went over time. With a “bang,” she pushed the door open, interrupting the person on the stage.
She had her bag slung over one shoulder, and she lifted her chin and said, “Class dismissed.”
“Oh~”
A group of people eagerly packed up their things and ran out.
The person on the podium lost her authority. She awkwardly put down the chalk.
Some people looked at Xie Ning, confused, and slowly began to pack up.
The hallway suddenly became crowded.
They walked past Xie Ning, but none of them were Su Wan. Someone called her “senior” and then ran away with her face covered.
Another person deliberately released their pheromones, which caused a round of ridicule and commotion.
“Ugh, onion-smelling pheromones. It’d be better to just cut your gland out!”
“Who’s so shameless? So disgusting!”
“There’s no way an Omega would like that smell. I’m going to throw up!”
After a moment of commotion, the smell of pheromones faded.
There weren’t many people left in the hallway.
Su Jin and her two best friends slowly walked out of the classroom.
They looked at Xie Ning and walked past her.
Xie Ning was half a head taller than Su Jin.
She blocked her way, and Su Jin had nowhere to go.
Since she couldn’t find Su Wan, she had to corner Su Jin and ask her some questions first.
She wasn’t sure about her own memory, and perhaps Su Wan hadn’t even transferred to their school yet.
Xie Ning said, “I have something to ask you!”
Su Jin looked up at her. Her eyes were almost covered by her neat bangs, which almost reached her lower eyelids.
She stared at Xie Ning for three full seconds, her eyes blank and slow.
She said, “What do you want to ask me?”
Xie Ning was about to speak when the system in her mind warned her, “Host, you can’t tell her anything about your previous life!”
“Xie Ning?” Su Jin drew out the name slowly. She also spoke slowly.
Her eyes narrowed as she said coldly, “Are you looking for my brother? He’s waiting for me downstairs. Do you want to walk with me?”
The mention of Su Xingheng made Xie Ning feel sick.
She let out a disgusted “eww” and looked at her with a mischievous grin.
She said something quite shocking: “Su Jin, I wanted to ask you, you’re not the biological daughter of the Su family, and the Su family’s real daughter has already been found. So, when are you planning on leaving the Su family?”
Su Jin gasped.
Her two best friends next to her also gasped.
They looked at each other, shocked, and covered their mouths in exaggerated expressions.
They had never heard of this before.
They only knew that Su Jin said “brother, brother” all day and was always clinging to Su Xingheng.
If Su Jin wasn’t a biological member of the Su family, what was her relationship with them then?! This gossip was way too explosive!
Unlike Su Jin’s horror, after the initial shock, the two girls were extremely excited!
Su Jin saw their expressions and felt incredibly humiliated!
She bit her lip, looked at her two friends with resentment, and said, word for word, “You two go back first.”
The girls pretended to walk away. Su Jin still felt ashamed. She turned her head to look at Xie Ning and said through gritted teeth,
“I hate you!”
Xie Ning smiled, unconcerned. She said, “I thought they already knew about it. It’s not a big deal.
Everyone’s going to find out sooner or later anyway.”
Su Jin’s face turned ashen. She bit her lip, tears welling up in her eyes.
Her expression looked incredibly innocent.
“No one knows about this,” Su Jin said, clenching her fists. “I don’t know where you heard it, but no one in this entire high school knows about it!”
Xie Ning looked surprised. She rubbed her chin and said with a “sympathetic” expression, “Oh, I’m sorry. When your brother told me, I thought a lot of people already knew.”
Su Jin was stunned. She looked at Xie Ning in disbelief.
Her ashen face turned pale, and her pupils trembled slightly.
“Brother? How could he tell you something like that?!” Su Jin exclaimed.
Xie Ning thought for a moment and said, “Maybe because I’m his fiancée.”
Su Jin felt like she had been struck by lightning. Xie Ning just smiled, her face relaxed as she said, “After all, I couldn’t have learned about your family’s business from anywhere else. Maybe your brother was careless and forgot to say that this was a secret.”
Every word Xie Ning said was designed to break Su Jin down.
She had been in the underworld for too many years and was an expert at finding and twisting people’s weaknesses.
Su Jin was still too naive and was easily intimidated by Xie Ning’s few words.
Xie Ning had seen too many scenes like this, but Su Jin’s reaction still surprised her a little.
She trembled all over, her body went limp, and she stumbled backward, leaning against the wall. She slid down to the floor, squatted with her arms wrapped around her knees, and then she let out a loud wail and started crying!
Xie Ning: “…???”
Xie Ning was both angry and amused.
She hadn’t expected Su Jin’s mental state to be so fragile that she would sit in the hallway and cry like a three-year-old? Seriously, she was seventeen or eighteen years old. Couldn’t she be a little less of a weakling? How was she supposed to have fun with her in the future? “Get out of here, you loser.”
There were still a few people in the hallway.
Hearing the sound, they looked over curiously.
Xie Ning was certain that Su Jin’s gossipy best friends hadn’t gone far and were listening in downstairs. By tomorrow, Su Jin’s identity would probably have spread throughout the entire school.
It was going to be very interesting.
Xie Ning had no sympathy for Su Jin. She even felt like picking her nose. But she was a beautiful girl now, wearing a skirt that let the breeze through, so picking her nose was too inappropriate.
She thought about how when Liu Ya had her accident, Su Jin, as Liu Ya’s biological sister, didn’t have a single bit of sympathy for her either.
She didn’t deserve to have everything that belonged to Wanwan.
Still crying? It was giving Xie Ning a headache. She bent down and whispered in Su Jin’s ear, “You’re squatting down. Everyone can see your underwear.”
Su Jin: “…”
The girl’s crying stopped abruptly. She realized how embarrassing that was.
She wiped away her tears, immediately stood up, ignored Xie Ning, and quickly ran into the stairwell.
She hated Xie Ning, and she could never forgive her brother for betraying her!
Why?
Just a few days ago, her father had brought someone home and planned to have her replace Su Jin’s place in the family.
Su Jin was heartbroken enough then, but luckily, her brother, Su Xingheng, had stood up and said, “As long as I’m here, Jin’er can always stay in the Su family!”
He had sworn to protect her, so why did he have to tell a bitch like Xie Ning those things?! Su Jin’s heart was broken, and her world came crashing down.
She ran down the stairs and saw Su Xingheng waiting for her.
She was heartbroken and didn’t want to talk to him anymore. She ran past him, pushing him aside, and ran far away.
Su Xingheng was confused. He thought Su Jin was just throwing a usual tantrum. He was sweaty from playing ball and was about to follow her when he saw Xie Ning in the stairwell.
Their eyes met.
Xie Ning’s smile completely disappeared, and a million ways to kill him came to her mind.
