Rolling Around in the Villain's Arms (GL) - Chapter 4
With a full stomach, Bai Tang’s belly was distended like a ball.
She lay on the dining table.
I’m sleepy, wuwu.
I want to sleep right after eating. Am I a pig?
Xiao Xinyue wiped her lips with a napkin, glanced at her, and stood up, intending to leave.
Lan Ji: “Do you want to bathe?”
Xiao Xinyue nodded: “Please prepare the hot water for me.”
Lan Ji held Bai Tang in front of her: “Aren’t you going to wash her? Her face is dirty.”
Bai Tang blinked her big eyes.
Am I very dirty?
She remembered Xiao Qi washed her with water magic, but the water was so cold it was a miracle she didn’t catch a cold.
Xiao Xinyue hesitated, looking at her smudged face: “Aren’t you going to wash her?”
She’s disgusted with me. I don’t need her to wash me. I can bathe myself.
Bai Tang let out a couple of chirps.
I’ll wash myself.
Lan Ji heard her milky sounds: “Miss, look, she wants you to wash her. After all, you are her owner.”
Bai Tang: !!
She glared, hating that she couldn’t speak.
Xiao Xinyue’s eyes held undisguised disgust: “Troublesome.”
Lan Ji knew she had consented: “I’ll prepare the hot water for you.”
Xiao Xinyue nodded, then added: “Prepare new soap and towels.”
Lan Ji: “Understood.”
Bai Tang was placed on the floor by Lan Ji.
She tried hard to attune herself to the water elements in the air, wanting to use magic to clean herself, but all she could do was spit out a few water bubbles. How did I manage to spray the little villain’s face earlier? And can this magic stop coming out of my mouth!
Xiao Xinyue glanced at her: “Come here.”
Bai Tang stopped trying to use magic and looked up at her. The little villain walked away without looking back.
Should I follow her? I’d better follow her, lest I offend her and end up dead without knowing how.
Bai Tang scrambled on her short legs, scurrying after her, staying near the hem of the little villain’s skirt. She was a small puff, like a cloud.
She followed Xiao Xinyue to the bathroom.
The door opened, and steam billowed out, several degrees warmer than outside. Inside was a huge bathtub; it looked like it would be nice to lie in.
Lan Ji placed the towel and soap to the side: “You can bathe now.”
Xiao Xinyue sat on a wooden stool: “Come here.”
Bai Tang scurried over and jumped into the bathtub, splashing a considerable amount of water.
Xiao Xinyue was splashed and gritted her teeth, saying, “Get out!”
Bai Tang swam in the bathtub, confused.
Isn’t this where I’m supposed to wash?
Before Bai Tang could get out herself, Lan Ji scooped her up: “Miss, I’ll change the water for you later.”
Bai Tang suddenly realized.
Oh, it’s for the little villain’s bath.
Xiao Xinyue’s expression softened slightly: “Remember to clean it once.”
Lan Ji: “Yes.”
Bai Tang was placed in a wooden basin in front of Xiao Xinyue. There was space left over when she was inside, but compared to the bathtub, it was pitifully small.
Xiao Xinyue picked up the soap and rubbed it onto Bai Tang’s body. Her fur was soft, and a large amount of fine bubbles quickly formed.
Bai Tang sat quietly in the basin and watched her blankly.
Xiao Xinyue’s deep eyes showed seriousness. She was meticulously cleaning her with light pressure, not hard enough to cause pain. She was much gentler than Bai Tang expected.
She was so reluctant, but her technique is pretty good. Having the little villain wash me isn’t so bad after all.
Bai Tang started to enjoy playing with the bubbles.
Xiao Xinyue looked at her dirty face, pouring water over it. Her once fluffy, soft fur instantly flattened, leaving her with a ‘little bald’ head look.
“Truly ugly.”
Bai Tang used her small paws to rub her eyes, which had gotten wet. Hearing that comment, she forgot to wipe her eyes, which were wide open, full of disbelief.
Only the little villain would call me ugly.
She must have terrible aesthetics.
Bai Tang shook her head, made a soft, milky sound, and looked at Lan Ji, blinking her left eye.
Lan Ji was expressionless.
Is she flirting with me? Yes, she is. Blinking is too cute!!
Lan Ji walked forward two steps, crouched down, and handed a dry towel to Xiao Xinyue, but her left hand was stroking Bai Tang’s wet head.
Xiao Xinyue wiped her face, which had been splashed with water, and caught Lan Ji’s small movement, questioning: “You like her?”
Lan Ji: “She is your Young Lady’s spirit pet. Of course, I like her.”
Xiao Xinyue listened, feeling a strange unease, especially when Bai Tang was wagging her tail at Lan Ji. She looked at Lan Ji again, whose usually expressionless face now showed a look of fond indulgence.
Bai Tang grinned, her small tail threatening to wag sky-high.
Hmph. I charmed an older sister with just a blink. I’m obviously super cute.
Xiao Xinyue saw her smug little expression and understood.
She hit her with an uncompromising insult: “Not pretty. Ugly.”
Bai Tang, who had just puffed up with pride, deflated instantly.
She thrashed around in the water basin, using the water to vent her dissatisfaction.
This action further confirmed Xiao Xinyue’s suspicion. She carelessly wiped her face with the towel. She really is a narcissistic and slightly calculating spirit beast, and this spirit beast happens to be mine.
Xiao Xinyue lifted her out of the wooden basin, rinsed her clean with fresh warm water, and then used wind magic to blow her dry. Her soft fur became fluffy, and she was instantly revitalized, looking prettier than before.
Bai Tang bounded around twice. After bathing, her body felt much lighter and smelled wonderful.
She even spun in a circle and wiggled her small ears. Her short tail swayed back and forth—she was a walking source of cuteness.
Lan Ji could no longer restrain herself.
She crouched down and immediately hugged Bai Tang tightly.
Bai Tang was still immersed in the joy of being clean, but the next second, she was constrained. She was a little stunned, her face being rubbed relentlessly by Lan Ji. I’m going crazy.
Xiao Xinyue walked out of the bathroom, looking back at Lan Ji: “Clean up. I’ll take my bath soon.”
Lan Ji stopped the frantic face-rubbing: “Miss, aren’t you going to hold her? She’s super comfortable.”
Xiao Xinyue’s gaze shifted to Bai Tang.
Her fur was fluffy, the light blue fur looked airy, and when she looked with those big eyes, Xiao Xinyue couldn’t help but want to touch her. This appearance was too deceptive.
Xiao Xinyue’s eyes lingered for a moment, then she quickly looked away: “No. She’s filthy.”
Bai Tang was angered by the little villain again.
I just finished bathing. How could I be dirty?
The bathroom was full of water, and the bathtub needed cleaning. Lan Ji reluctantly put down Bai Tang: “Go to sleep.”
Bai Tang scampered away on her short legs, running fast.
Finally, I’ve escaped Lan Ji’s clutches. I really don’t understand why these older sisters love to hug me so much. It must be because I’m too cute.
Bai Tang walked at a leisurely pace, stepping out of the house, but the cold wind blew over her, startling her into bristling again.
Why is it so cold tonight?
Bai Tang quickly sneaked back to the woodshed and curled up in a small ball in the corner.
The woodshed was crudely built from stacked wood, allowing drafts everywhere. Bai Tang shivered. I have so much fur, why isn’t it warm at all?
Bai Tang closed her eyes, forcing herself to sleep.
She had finally eaten her fill, but now she was freezing. Transmigrating isn’t all that great. I’m cold and hungry, and she wasn’t even human. She had to constantly worry about her life.
Bai Tang shivered, truly unable to sleep.
Under the dark, windy night, she secretly sneaked out of the woodshed and ran into the house. The interior blocked the cold wind and was much warmer.
But I still need a blanket to sleep, right?
Bai Tang wandered around, but let alone a blanket, she couldn’t find even a throw rug.
Her ears twitched. Hearing a sound, she immediately hid behind a table corner.
Xiao Xinyue turned on a light: “I see you.”
Bai Tang’s ears twitched, but she refused to come out. Who knows if the little villain will hit her.
Xiao Xinyue’s voice was colder, yet still childishly clear: “Are you not coming out yet?”
Bai Tang immediately stepped out, switched to “puppy eyes,” and looked at her pitifully.
Xiao Xinyue’s cold, deep eyes swept over her and walked two steps forward.
Bai Tang instinctively retreated four steps.
Xiao Xinyue: “…”
She reasonably suspected whether the timid spirit beast in front of her was the same one that rode on her head during dinner.
Xiao Xinyue: “Come here. Don’t make me say it a second time.”
Bai Tang whimpered a few times.
Is it too late for me to go sleep in the woodshed?
She slowly dragged her short legs forward toward Xiao Xinyue, her small expression as wronged as could be.
Is she going to scold me again?
Anything is better than being hit.
Bai Tang closed her eyes, preparing for the storm.
Unexpectedly, she smelled a pleasant scent of soap, the same as hers, but richer and better.
She opened her eyes and saw the little villain’s fair, delicate neck. She was being held in the little villain’s arms, who was gently stroking her head.
Bai Tang: !!
Did the sun rise in the west today?
Xiao Xinyue touched her soft little head. She smelled good after bathing, and her fur was fluffier. It was indeed as Lan Ji said: very soft and comfortable to touch.
She still couldn’t resist this deceptive appearance.
Bai Tang was being stroked so much that her eyes began to squint shut. She even felt like exposing her belly to her. She snapped alert, stopping herself from acting on instinct. How could I possibly expose my belly to the little villain?
Xiao Xinyue touched her head, then stroked the fur on her back. She’s very small and skinny. She looks soft because of all the fur, but she’s actually as thin as kindling. She then touched her belly…
Xiao Xinyue’s eyes brightened slightly.
Her belly was soft, and the fur there was even softer.
The little villain felt warm. Bai Tang was so comfortable being stroked that sleepiness crept up on her.
How can I let my guard down so much around the little villain?
But I’m really sleepy.
Xiao Xinyue touched her small ear and curiously touched the tiny horn on her forehead. Looking down at Bai Tang’s drowsy eyes, she realized she was being too permissive and immediately pushed Bai Tang away.
I have no interest in this silly beast.
Xiao Xinyue stood up and left without looking back.
Bai Tang had been immersed in a haven of warmth just moments ago, only to be pushed away by the little villain. Her rear end slammed onto the cold wooden floor, completely jolting away her sleepiness.
She just left after touching me.
How is that any different from a free pass?
Bai Tang angrily rubbed her little bottom with her small paws and continued to search the house for a blanket.
She searched inside and out but saw nothing. Lan Ji cleaned this house too thoroughly.
Without a blanket, her sleep wouldn’t be satisfying.
Bai Tang continued to wander, her eyes lighting up when she saw a basket of clothes.
She climbed into the basket, pulled out a piece of clothing with her mouth, and sniffed the pleasant scent. I can finally get a good night’s sleep.
The wind was too strong outside. Going back to the woodshed was impossible.
Bai Tang found a random spot, lay down on the clothing, and used a small piece of the fabric to cover herself. It was warm. She blissfully closed her eyes.
In the early morning, birds chirped on the branches outside the window.
Xiao Xinyue opened her eyes, opened the window, and saw the dew-covered flowers in the courtyard. Her mood was pleasant.
She pushed away the strand of hair that had slipped into her collar and went to open the door.
Pulling the door open, Xiao Xinyue froze on the spot.
A small furball was sleeping in front of her door—her spirit pet, to be precise.
She was nestled on what turned out to be her little black dress. The small blue-and-white furball lay on it, looking soft and sleeping soundly, making it hard to wake her up.
Bai Tang rolled over, exposing her soft, snow-white belly.
Xiao Xinyue stared at her for a few seconds, struggling internally, but ultimately decided not to wake her.
She stepped aside and walked around. As her gaze dropped, her body stiffened. Her fair neck and small face instantly turned beet red.
Aside from her black dress, a small corner of white fabric was peeking out near Bai Tang’s little legs.
Underwear!
Xiao Xinyue’s eyes flared with fire.
She suppressed her anger and walked away with an air of aloofness.
The next second, a large basin of water poured down directly above Bai Tang.
Bai Tang was drenched. She woke up instantly, her sapphire eyes wide with confusion.
What just happened??
