“Achoo…”

Shen Chuxia had just finished her makeup and hadn’t had the chance to look in the mirror when she suddenly sneezed.

The wig on her head shook with her movement, and when Shen Chuxia looked up to see herself in the mirror, she was momentarily stunned.

As the trusted aide of the vengeful princess, Shen Chuxia was naturally playing the role of a maid.

However, unlike an ordinary maid, she was skilled in martial arts. The character she portrayed was quite endearing; as the princess’s loyal and devoted aide, she was cute and completely devoted to her princess, yet she was also clever. Shen Chuxia’s face turned slightly red from the compliment, and she quickly walked out. However, just as she stepped out the door, she unexpectedly ran into the director who was coming this way.

The director held a script in his hand and wore black-rimmed glasses on his nose. Seeing Shen Chuxia like this, he nodded in satisfaction.

“Chuxia, this look is great. No wonder Li Man recommended you. I was worried about who could play this role well, but it seems this character was tailor-made for you.”

“Director, you’re too kind… I…” Shen Chuxia felt a bit shy from the praise and was about to say more when she suddenly sensed an additional gaze on her. Next, her shoulder was grabbed by someone, as if they were pulling her into an embrace. Just as Shen Chuxia was about to struggle, she heard a familiar low voice beside her ear, “Don’t move.”

“Oh, Su Zi, your look is also great! No wonder you’re the Best Actress; your versatility is impressive!”

The director praised, noticing Su Zi’s hand with some surprise. “I was wondering how Li Man could possibly recommend Chuxia; turns out you two know each other. That makes things easier since you have quite a few intimate scenes together. I was worried you might not get along, but it seems I was overthinking it.”

“Of course! I’ve known little Chuxia for many years, and we have a certain tacit understanding. Intimate scenes are not a problem for us, right, little Chuxia?” Su Zi said, tossing the conversation back to Shen Chuxia.

Shen Chuxia was a bit taken aback but nodded in agreement with Su Zi’s words.

“Um… yes, Director, don’t worry, we will do our best…”

“Then I can rest assured. You two chat for a bit; I’ll head to the studio and wait for you. Don’t chat too long; come back early.”
