The Disabled Villain Omega Uses Her Riches to Get Close to People (GL) - Chapter 16
With the Alpha’s temporary mark, Chi Wanzhu was no longer plagued by Pheromone Disorder and was able to sleep soundly at night, a rare occurrence.
The changes in her were noticeable compared to her usual self.
Even though she still stayed up late to handle work, the tired look she usually carried had completely vanished.
When she woke up in the morning, she heard Aunt Yue smiling and saying, “Miss, you look even more beautiful today.”
Aunt Yue had always been with Chi Wanzhu’s mother and watched Chi Wanzhu grow up.
From a soft, sweet little dumpling to the decisive CEO of Star Group she was today.
After Chi Wanzhu’s mother passed away, Aunt Yue naturally followed her. Having left the Chi family with her, Aunt Yue was one of the few people who could joke with Chi Wanzhu.
Chi Wanzhu’s tone held a touch of helplessness, but also a rare hint of a smile: “Aunt Yue, aren’t I the same as yesterday?”
“How could yesterday and today be the same?” Aunt Yue denied her claim, asserting, “Your complexion is clearly better today. You should smile more often.”
She didn’t think Chi Wanzhu was as terrifying as outsiders claimed. After all, this was the child she watched grow up.
She felt more heartache, sympathizing with her illness and her legs.
But she kept it hidden in her heart and never mentioned it in front of Chi Wanzhu.
“Alright.” Chi Wanzhu agreed as usual.
However, typically, Aunt Yue would talk, and Chi Wanzhu would still stay up late if she wanted to, and take medicine freely if she felt the need.
Aunt Yue wanted to say more, but meeting Chi Wanzhu’s clear eyes, she could only sigh with a smile, “Oh, you!”
Chi Wanzhu cleverly changed the subject, “Aunt Yue, where are the clothes you washed yesterday?”
Because of the previous accident, the clothes meant for Jing Chaocao had to be washed again.
“I washed them and hung them on the balcony,” Aunt Yue remembered everything in the villa clearly. “The weather is nice today, and the sun is strong, so they should be dry by tonight.”
“If you’re in a hurry, I can put them in the dryer. It won’t take half an hour.”
Aunt Yue was older. Even though the dryer had drying and sanitizing functions, she still felt clothes needed to see the sun.
Chi Wanzhu shook her head: “No rush. I just need a few of those clothes put into a packaging bag.”
Aunt Yue nodded: “The same few clothes as last time, right?”
She had packaged them once before, so she naturally remembered.
Those clothes were clearly not Chi Wanzhu’s style.
But the fact that Chi Wanzhu brought the other person’s clothes back suggested their relationship must be very close.
An Alpha?
Aunt Yue thought to herself that it would be a good thing if Chi Wanzhu had a trustworthy partner.
But she was also afraid the other person might be trouble, especially since Chi Wanzhu was an Omega.
She thought a lot but wouldn’t ask. If it was truly someone Chi Wanzhu liked, when the time was right, she would meet the person.
“The ones from last time.”
Chi Wanzhu thought she could return them when they went to the hospital next time.
“Okay, I’ll place them next to the clothes rack then,” Aunt Yue nodded, and asked, “Miss, is there any dish you’d like to eat tonight? I’m heading out to buy groceries anyway.”
She asked this question quite often, but the answer was usually “Anything is fine,” or “You decide.”
Although Aunt Yue tried to make the meals as varied as possible every day, ensuring both flavor and nutrition.
She still felt a meal was best when it included a dish her favorite person wanted to eat.
To her surprise, she received a different answer today.
After a moment of thought, Chi Wanzhu said, “Mushroom soup.”
Aunt Yue smiled and said, “Alright, I promise to make the mushroom soup just the way you like it.”
After Chi Wanzhu arrived at the company, Assistant Lin outlined the day’s schedule beside her.
“At 9 AM, you have a discussion with the CEO of Tianyi Company regarding the cooperation plan for next year’s tech products. Two hours later, you need to attend an online meeting with the branch company.”
“At 1 PM, there is a quarterly meeting, with a report from the R&D manager. Additionally, there is a last-minute visitor from the government. The time is uncertain and might conflict with the quarterly meeting. All department managers have been notified that the time may be adjusted.”
“In the evening, there is a cocktail party hosted by Tianyi Company…”
Chi Wanzhu interrupted, “Decline the cocktail party.”
“Yes, President Chi.” Assistant Lin crossed that out. “The other documents requiring your signature have been organized and placed in the corresponding locations.”
Assistant Lin had recently received a raise and a larger year-end bonus, making her exceptionally enthusiastic about her work.
However, her enthusiasm usually lasted no more than a day. After all, working, regardless of the pay, was painful!
But compared to Chi Wanzhu’s workload, her tasks seemed much lighter.
After all, the other person’s schedule was completely full for the next two months.
Chi Wanzhu picked up the nearest file and said, “Clear my schedule for Sunday morning. Move any urgent matters to the afternoon.”
Assistant Lin flipped to the Sunday schedule and quickly figured out how to rearrange things. “Yes, President Chi.”
Chi Wanzhu didn’t specify what the free time was for, which meant it was a private matter, and Assistant Lin wouldn’t ask further, only focusing on her duties.
“President Chi, Z University sent an invitation today, asking you to attend their centennial celebration as a notable alumna. The event is about two months from now.”
Z University. Chi Wanzhu recalled that Jing Chaocao was studying there now.
But she only considered that fact briefly, rejecting the offer without hesitation: “Decline.”
