The Live-in Alpha Only Wants to Be a Quiet Salted Fish - Chapter 18
“What are you doing?!”
Lin Mu’s hand, holding the tray, was trembling, causing the stainless steel cover to clatter against the ceramic plate with a “ding-clank,” making her shiver with cold rage!
Though she knew Su Mo’s desire was probably intense right now, how could she be so reckless? Just call any random man over, over…
“Even if you’re ‘desperate,’ how could you… don’t you know you’re a ‘married woman’?!”
Lin Mu was heartbroken, acting as if she was the one being ‘cuckolded,’ although technically, by title, she was.
Why did her favorite ship sink?! She thought Su Mo was a pure and respectable female lead, but no, no! How can you do this to your future puppy Alpha, how can you do this to me?!
Lin Mu’s accusations stunned the two people in the room.
Su Mo’s vision went black. She truly wanted to rush over and smother the silly Alpha. What nonsense was coming out of her mouth?
Why hadn’t she remembered to lock the silly Alpha’s door, letting her run out now and make a spectacle of herself?!
“Miss, Miss, I’ve got the medicine…”
The maid, Xiao Ding, turned and bumped squarely into Lin Mu, who was blocking the doorway. The glass bottle in her hand fell onto the carpet with a dull thud, luckily not shattering.
Xiao Ding looked up, and three pairs of eyes simultaneously stared at her, giving the young woman a jolt of fear.
“Um, you’re here too. Doctor Zhou, I’ve brought the medicine. Please, take it in too.”
The young woman sensed the atmosphere of a love triangle gone wrong. She quickly picked up the glass bottle, shoved it into the food tray, and fled in a panic, leaving only the three people in the room staring at each other.
Lin Mu glanced down and saw a rather familiar label.
Safflower oil…
Oh, this…
On the other side, the “wild man” got off Su Mo. Su Mo’s clothes were intact; nothing was out of place, except for a portion of her lower back clothing lifted, revealing a patch of fair skin and faintly horrifying purple bruises on it.
The “wild man” curled his pinky finger, covering his mouth as he let out a delicate chuckle.
“Momo, this must be that little Alpha you’ve been hiding, so cute, hehe…”
That delicate chuckle sent a chill straight up Lin Mu’s spine. The tray in her hand started shaking again, like an earthquake.
“Ugh…”
Zhou Yi: ???
Is that how you’re supposed to react to an Omega?
“Sorry, I couldn’t help it…” Lin Mu gave an awkward laugh.
You actually explained yourself?!!
Zhou Yi was dumbfounded, his pinky finger trembling.
“You!!”
“Pfft, mmm-mmm…” Su Mo couldn’t help but laugh, quickly burying her head in the pillow to muffle the sounds of her wheezing, goose-like laughter.
Forgive me, she usually doesn’t laugh so immoderately, unless she absolutely can’t help it.
“Alright, why are you still standing there stunned? Hurry and bring me the medicine.” Having laughed enough, she finally deigned to speak, smoothing things over.
Lin Mu nodded profusely, scurrying over, as obedient as a large, loyal dog.
She probably realized she had made another blunder and quickly tried to compensate.
She could see that this “wild man” was also an Omega, and apparently a doctor, so there was no such relationship as she had imagined.
Although Omegas are generally perceived as gentle, male Omegas are slightly more robust than female Omegas. Plus, Zhou Yi himself was a doctor and paid more attention to health, so compared to typical delicate Omegas, his physique was more athletic. And with his curly hair, he looked like a sturdy poodle who had rushed over unkempt. Yet, this poodle was also acting dainty and girlish.
While Lin Mu didn’t discriminate against male Omegas, twenty years of ingrained impressions don’t change that quickly. Just imagine Lu Zhishen cross-dressing as Lin Daiyu—the image was too beautiful, too eye-catching!
“Momo, your Alpha is really…” Zhou Yi’s lips twitched. He could no longer bring himself to say “cute.” He gritted his teeth, squeezing out a few words.
“Interesting!!”
“Yes, I think so too.” Su Mo recalled her earlier suspicions, the smile in her eyes deepening.
“Thank you, you’re also very…” Lin Mu pondered for a moment for a descriptive adjective, then gave him a thumbs up.
“Burly!”
Zhou Yi: ??
Do you describe Omegas like that??
“Pfft…” Su Mo muffled her laughter. Apparently, watching others being cornered by the silly Alpha was truly hilarious.
Zhou Yi was too angry to speak. Dog Alphas and Omegas deserve no house! (meaning “dog Alpha deserves a bad death”)
“Alright, this is my childhood friend and personal doctor, Zhou Yi. And this is my…”
The word “Alpha” lingered on her tongue for a long time but didn’t come out. Su Mo suddenly didn’t know how to introduce her.
In front of familiar people, there’s always a sense of reality when things come true. But if she straightforwardly said Lin Mu was just her good “girlfriend,” first, Zhou Yi probably wouldn’t believe her, and second, a barrage of teasing would certainly be unavoidable.
“Hmph, isn’t she just your little lover? Hiding her away as if she’s unspeakable. Got an Alpha and forgot your sisters, you little heartless ingrate who forgets loyalty for beauty!”
Zhou Yi rolled his eyes, a captivating display that sent another shiver down Lin Mu’s spine.
Since Su Mo hadn’t clarified, Lin Mu could only keep up the pretense, forcing out a smile.
“Hello, sister. Lin Mu.”
Zhou Yi examined her for a moment, then pointed at the bruise, winking suggestively. “Tsk, tsk, I didn’t realize. She looks so refined, but turns out she’s quite ‘wild’ in bed. Look what she’s done to our little princess.”
“Zhou Yi, what nonsense are you spouting?!” Su Mo blushed a deep red.
“Actually…” Lin Mu awkwardly scratched her head. You might not believe it, but I just gave her a ‘body slam’.
“Don’t you dare say it!” Su Mo turned, glaring fiercely at her.
Being teased might just embarrass me to death, but knowing the truth, I’d definitely die of laughter. Compared to that, I’d rather be a little embarrassed, it’s not real anyway.
Lin Mu silently shut up, zipping her mouth closed.
Zhou Yi rolled his eyes. “Don’t listen then. Having a partner, big deal. Who cares about you AOs’ business?”
“But, little Alpha, you’ve come at just the right time. I don’t have time to come every day to apply medicine for her. Since you caused the injury, you might as well take responsibility for the aftermath.”
Zhou Yi blinked, meaningfully.
“No, not her…” The refusal blurted out.
No matter how silly this Alpha is, she’s a genuine Alpha. Moreover, this Alpha is in her susceptible period! A soft, fragrant Omega lying in front of her, who knows what could happen? What if?! What if she loses her mind and tries something indecent with me?!
“Why not? It’s just applying medicine. What’s the big deal about a little contact? Always pretending to be prim and proper. And you too, you’re legally AOs, and you have an Alpha right here, yet you don’t know how to make use of her.”
Zhou Yi glanced at the syringe in the trash can. An Omega whose mere heat needed medication to dispel… what would happen when her actual estrus period arrived?
He knew there was nothing truly going on between them, otherwise he wouldn’t have been called over. But Su Mo’s body really couldn’t afford to wait.
“Or maybe I shouldn’t. There are so many people in the house, and…” Lin Mu was very awkward. The intensity of earlier hadn’t passed yet, and now she had to apply medicine to Su Mo. She was genuinely afraid Su Mo would unleash her beastly side and do something to her.
“It’s you. I’m busy. And this medicine application requires my unique technique. I don’t have time to teach it again. With my technique, the injury will heal in just three days. Without it, at least seven days. And, this waist injury can be mild or severe. If the bruise isn’t massaged away and presses on a nerve or the spinal cord, it could be mild nerve pain or severe paralysis.”
You’re a doctor, after all. Doesn’t your conscience hurt when you’re bullshitting like this?!
Both of them looked disbelieving, but seeing his confident demeanor, they couldn’t help but feel a little uneasy.
“Are you learning or not? One word. If not, I’m leaving!” Zhou Yi pretended to be serious, but his eyes were full of calculation.
Sigh, it’s just a common sprain, it’s not that serious. Of course, he was just making it up to create an opportunity for the two of them.
He could see it now: these two were exchanging glances, probably already interested in each other. With a little more push, it might be like dry wood meeting a raging fire, igniting instantly.
“So, should I… learn?” Lin Mu cast a pleading look at Su Mo.
Su Mo gritted her teeth, but seeing her friend’s serious and proper expression, she finally clenched her jaw.
“Learn! After knowing you for so many years, I want to see what kind of unique technique you have!”
Zhou Yi raised an eyebrow, chuckling inwardly, “Then you watch closely. It’s absolutely unique, guaranteed to make you, ah…” [indescribable]!
“Come, little Alpha, come. I’ll teach, you press.”
“Wait, shouldn’t it be you, I…” Lin Mu was dumbfounded, unable to complete her sentence.
Isn’t this supposed to be the teacher demonstrating and her following along? Why is she directly doing it herself?!
“Oh, so much nonsense. Just press when I tell you to. I’ll guide you from the side.”
Zhou Yi found her too slow. He directly grabbed her arm and pressed it onto Lin Mu’s waist. A strong Omega, after all, had genuinely great strength.
The injured area was pressed hard, making Su Mo gasp in pain. She turned fiercely, glaring at her friend, who was secretly laughing.
“Zhou Yi, you!”
“That’s not my fault. The little Alpha doesn’t know her strength. Oh, don’t forget to apply some oil!” Zhou Yi didn’t respond, decisively shifting the blame.
It’s safflower oil, safflower oil, what do you mean ‘apply some oil,’ that sounds so suggestive!
Lin Mu was speechless. She inadvertently met Su Mo’s gaze, then quickly looked away, both falling into a silence.
Her mind was a jumble of thoughts. For some reason, her heart felt chaotic too.
“Yes, rub, press and rub, lower down, a little more, yes, this is the kidney area, remember to press it more.” Zhou Yi’s expression was ambiguous, his pinky finger curled up again.
“But… this area isn’t bruised at all!” Lin Mu pressed the soft spot under her hand, almost sweating, not daring to breathe loudly.
“What do you know? You can’t press it if it’s not injured? This spot feels comfortable when pressed. Look at Momo, how much she’s enjoying it!” Zhou Yi glanced at Su Mo, who had buried her face in the pillow, smiling slyly.
This is an Omega’s ‘weak’ spot, how could it not feel good?!
Su Mo was completely speechless, only able to clench her teeth tightly.
Why was the difference so huge when someone else pressed it, making her heart tremble?
Lin Mu kept pressing, her face turning bright red. Su Mo wasn’t doing much better.
It just felt… off. Like two people were doing something [prosperous, democratic, harmonious], but there was someone watching, even giving live instructions.
This feeling of mixed pleasure and discomfort was simply unbelievable!
