The Wheelchair Scum Alpha Has Something to Say (GL) - Chapter 22
Honestly, Bai Yue was so disoriented by the pheromones that she couldn’t clearly hear what Chen Mengyi was saying. She only knew Chen Mengyi was calling her an idiot, and she was so angry. She was not an idiot!
She could distinguish whose hand was in her mouth!
Although Chen Mengyi and she were both female, there were still differences. She was a rough, tough Alpha with low HP and low defense, while Chen Mengyi was a delicate Omega. The fingertips resting against her teeth were soft and gentle, easily bitten open or pierced into a bloody hole by her teeth.
Bai Yue still had this much consciousness. She couldn’t bear to leave Chen Mengyi scarred.
But Chen Mengyi didn’t praise her; she even called her an idiot. Bai Yue turned her head, feeling wronged, still wanting to bite the back of her own hand. But Chen Mengyi supported her head perfectly, preventing her from turning away, while her other hand remained near Bai Yue’s canine teeth.
“Don’t bite yourself. If you must bite, bite me.”
What is she saying! Could she really be that kind of person!
Bai Yue struggled for a long time, but she was paralyzed. No matter how much she struggled, she couldn’t escape Chen Mengyi’s grasp. Eventually, tired from struggling, Bai Yue had no choice but to bite Chen Mengyi’s fingers, tearfully and pitifully. But she didn’t dare use force; she only gently ground her teeth.
It must be said that as an Alpha with atavistic tendencies, Bai Yue’s canine teeth were sharper. When her teeth ground against her, Chen Mengyi felt a sharp prick, like a needle. But Bai Yue didn’t use much force, so the prick turned into a dull ache. Gently grinding, it wasn’t intensely painful.
From time to time, Bai Yue would lose control and attempt to clamp down and bite, but then she remembered this was Chen Mengyi’s finger, held back her strength, and ultimately couldn’t bring herself to bite down.
Chen Mengyi smiled, and said again: “Idiot.”
Bai Yue, while gently biting Chen Mengyi’s finger, grumbled indignantly: “I’m not an idiot.”
Her mind was completely clouded by pheromones, yet she was still arguing about this. Chen Mengyi relaxed a bit, as Bai Yue’s pheromones grew more peaceful. Initially, when the sun shone on it, the sea surface had calmed slightly but still held surging waves. Now, it slowly calmed down, still with some wind and waves, but not enough to sink a boat.
As Bai Yue was dazed, the driver finally brought the car home. Chen Mengyi carried Bai Yue out of the car. The doctor was already waiting, and next to her was a stretcher. With the help of several strong Betas, Bai Yue was placed onto the stretcher.
The doctor quickly gave her a shot of a special sedative. She turned to Chen Mengyi: “Miss Chen, did you take a suppressant? How long ago?”
Chen Mengyi looked at Bai Yue, but ultimately gave the accurate time. The doctor nodded and handed Chen Mengyi some pain medication: “The side effects are about to hit. Miss Chen, you should rest first. If the discomfort is unbearable, take one pill. Don’t take too many; a maximum of two pills a day. You need to manage the dosage yourself.”
Chen Mengyi nodded and looked at Mama Li, who had followed in a separate car: “You go ahead and take care of Yueyue. Her pheromones are basically stable now; it shouldn’t affect you much.” Mama Li, feeling guilty for her earlier absence, immediately replied: “Yes, Miss Chen. Please go and rest assured.”
If the side effects hadn’t been so severe, Chen Mengyi probably wouldn’t have left Bai Yue. In such a critical moment, she only wanted to be with Bai Yue and watch over her.
She waved her hand, signaling Mama Li to quickly follow and not worry about her. After everyone left, Chen Mengyi stumbled slightly. At that moment, Wang Yao caught up and held Chen Mengyi steady. Chen Mengyi glanced at Wang Yao, pushed her away, and stood up straight: “Why are you here?”
Wang Yao was a bit embarrassed: “I, I was a little worried, so I followed Mama Li to check on you.”
Chen Mengyi nodded: “It’s nothing. Go back to the company. My assistant will oversee things at the film studio. I’ll give you two days off. Come back to work when Yueyue is better.” Chen Mengyi said this and walked forward.
Her high heels clicked sharply on the ground, as if the person who had just lost her balance wasn’t her.
Chen Mengyi returned to her room and dropped all pretense. She hastily opened a drawer, rummaging for ice packs. The cabinet was a mess, but she knew where things were. The reason for her frustration was purely the side effects clouding her mind.
However, the heat at the back of her neck had nothing to do with the side effects; it was purely due to spending too much time with Bai Yue and smelling her scent for too long, causing her gland to throb subtly. Chen Mengyi tore off an ice pack, lifted her hair, and slapped it onto the back of her neck.
The coldness jolted her, clearing her previously muddled mind significantly.
The immense side effects of the suppressant followed. Her stomach churned violently, and she stumbled to the bathroom, vomiting everything into the toilet. When she collapsed onto the floor from exhaustion, Chen Mengyi saw the faint ring of small tooth marks on her fingers.
Although Bai Yue hadn’t bitten hard, the long time her teeth rubbed against her finger inevitably left an imprint.
It sounded very “love-brained,” but Chen Mengyi felt this ring of teeth marks looked a bit like a ring. Although the location was a bit odd… being left by teeth, the bite mark was just above the knuckle, small and delicate. Touching it now, she still felt a slight, faint ache.
But in her mind, the image of Bai Yue struggling not to use force constantly surfaced.
Even if Bai Yue had genuinely bitten her, it wouldn’t have been much. Chen Mengyi’s tolerance for pain was higher than Bai Yue imagined. After all, the muscle soreness was more intense when she first started working out. In this world, the only person who would treat her like a precious treasure was probably Bai Yue.
She always felt that no one loved her except Bai Yue.
In fact, that seemed to be the case. Her parents didn’t love her. She had an Alpha sister, who was their pride. That’s why they sent Chen Mengyi away to live under someone else’s roof when she was twelve.
Bai Yue’s two mothers certainly didn’t love her. For them, Chen Mengyi was just a tool to keep the Bai family assets from being seized by outsiders, a weapon to protect Bai Yue. All they offered Chen Mengyi was strict education and harsh demands.
As for others… if her own parents didn’t love her, how could anyone else? Of course, people had confessed to her. Since high school, there had been no shortage. But in their eyes, Chen Mengyi couldn’t see love. Their eyes held curiosity, scrutiny, lust, and desire, but absolutely no love.
Only in Bai Yue’s eyes could she see pure love.
Unadulterated by anything else. Just because she was Chen Mengyi, Bai Yue was willing to love her.
It was just that Bai Yue was an idiot; she hadn’t figured out her own feelings yet. How could a clever person like Chen Mengyi not know the struggle in Bai Yue’s eyes? Bai Yue claimed to treat her as a sister, but Chen Mengyi didn’t believe it. People don’t look at their siblings that way, nor do they greedily inhale their scent like that.
However, today’s incident gave Chen Mengyi a hypothesis—their pheromone compatibility must be quite high, or her pheromones wouldn’t have been able to soothe Bai Yue. Perhaps that was one of the reasons why Bai Yue’s mothers accepted her in the first place.
Chen Mengyi didn’t feel exploited; instead, she was somewhat grateful for her high pheromone compatibility with Bai Yue. Otherwise, Bai Yue’s highly judgmental mothers would never have allowed the young daughter of “the parvenu who doesn’t fit in” to become their precious daughter’s fiancée.
Chen Mengyi curled the finger that Bai Yue had circled with her teeth and brought her lips to it. She merely rested her lips there without doing anything perverse, but the tips of her ears still flushed with embarrassment. Undeniably, doing this made her churning stomach feel much better, and her head also settled down.
It seemed that not only was she Bai Yue’s antidote, but Bai Yue was hers too.
Just as she was thinking happy thoughts, her head throbbed again. Chen Mengyi quickly blamed the idiotic celebrity. What was that guy’s name again… Never mind, it’s not important. I’ll ask the assistant later. Chen Mengyi had already planned the guy’s fate. She heard he quite enjoyed drinking with rich people and had been secretly involved with several Omega socialites, though he hid it so well the socialites didn’t know about each other.
If that was the case, he surely wouldn’t mind her telling those people? Also, that guy could forget about staying in the industry. Chen Mengyi would definitely make him pay the price, not just because of her own intolerable side effects, but also for her poor Yueyue. How miserable Yueyue was, her brain being messed up and burning up from the pheromone surge.
It makes me pity her so much.
The Bai Yue whom Chen Mengyi pitied so much was being held down on a bed. The sudden emergence of unfamiliar scents around her caused Bai Yue to struggle, and the doctor had to give her another shot of sedative. When she finally quieted down, they noticed she had scratched everyone who held her down. Especially Mama Li; her face had scratches running across it. Bai Yue never realized her nails were that sharp.
She looked at Mama Li’s strong, butch face, which was now marked with so many scratches, making it look as though she’d been scratched due to infidelity.
Mama Li noticed Bai Yue’s gaze and met her eyes: “Miss, if it’s too much trouble, maybe cut your nails. They really scratch.”
Bai Yue wasn’t happy about that: “What are you talking about? My nails are fine. Mengyi cuts them for me. They are round and beautiful. I won’t allow you to talk about my nails like that.”
Life as a maid in a wealthy family was actually quite good. With many servants, the workload for each person was light. Moreover, the Bai family had few people, only two masters, one of whom was a cripple who rarely went out and never caused trouble.
But right now, Mama Li sincerely felt that the person she served couldn’t possibly be so “love-brained”: She’s insane!
