The White Lotus Villainess Is Obsessed With Me - Chapter 47
Wang Sasa deliberately avoided mentioning what had happened earlier, hoping Tan Yixuan would forget about the whole intimate incident entirely.
Tan Yixuan’s thoughts weren’t on the kiss anymore; her mind had shifted to something else.
“I saw you were gone for so long, so I came out to check on you,” Tan Yixuan said, lowering her gaze before suddenly looking up at her and casually asking in a quiet voice, “Was that someone you knew earlier?”
Wang Sasa wrapped an arm around her as they walked back to the bedroom, answering nonchalantly, “No, not someone I know. It was the first time we met today.”
The first time meeting, and she was smiling so happily?
Tan Yixuan thought to herself, unconsciously pulling her coat tighter around her. She knew that her jealousy was unreasonable—after all, Wang Sasa had only smiled at the person and hadn’t done anything else.
If she got angry over this, it would make her seem petty.
Even though they were a couple, there still had to be boundaries.
But when she glanced over at Wang Sasa, seeing her innocent and carefree expression, she couldn’t help feeling a bit unsettled. Not wanting to lose her temper at someone she liked, she just suppressed her emotions.
Wang Sasa, oblivious to Tan Yixuan’s complex feelings, noticed her staring and assumed she was bored from lying down for too long. So, she suggested, “How about we take a walk in the garden?”
Tan Yixuan looked at her calmly, let out a long sigh, and reluctantly agreed.
Before they knew it, it was Monday.
After returning to school, the two of them unexpectedly ran into Wei Qi on campus.
Wei Qi was always elusive, but this encounter wasn’t one of his orchestrated coincidences.
The situation was quite awkward. Wei Qi stared at her, his gaze filled with both resentment and anger, glancing at the way Wang Sasa and Tan Yixuan’s fingers were intertwined. His lips moved as if to say something, but then he recalled the harsh words she had once said to him. Letting out a heavy snort, he lifted his chin and stormed off in a huff.
Tan Yixuan casually retracted her gaze and turned to Wang Sasa with a soft smile. “Shall we go?”
Wang Sasa, feeling cautious, quickly responded with an eager nod.
Afraid that Tan Yixuan might overthink the situation, she quickly reassured her, “Don’t worry, I’ve already warned him. What happened today was an accident—he won’t deliberately show up in front of us again.”
Tan Yixuan gave a light nod, her lips curling slightly. “I know.”
Wang Sasa carefully studied her expression, and seeing that she truly didn’t care, she breathed a sigh of relief. “Then I can rest easy.”
Wei Qi had only taken a few steps before turning back and noticing Wang Sasa and her companion walking away without a backward glance, making him even more frustrated.
That night, unable to shake his anger, he vented about Wang Shasha’s ‘cold-heartedness’ while drinking with his friends.
Dongzi listened and gave him a look, “Do you want the truth or the lie?”
Wei Qi took a big gulp of beer and angrily asked, “Do you think Wang Shasha is too heartless? How could she treat me like this? I didn’t even push Tan Yixuan!”
Dongzi patted his shoulder, trying to calm him down. After a pause, he said, “Honestly, I think Wang Shasha was just trying to mess with you.”
Wei Qi, his face flushed from the alcohol, looked confused. “Mess with me? Why would she do that for no reason?”
Dongzi spoke in a fatherly tone, “You’ve had plenty of girlfriends, but you still don’t understand women. Think back—how did you treat Wang Shasha before? You probably said some harsh things, right? And look at how many girlfriends you’ve had. Wang Shasha only gave you some tough talk, she hasn’t even moved on…”
“Who says she hasn’t moved on!” Wei Qi yelled, hiccuping, “She… she’s dating that deskmate of hers, Tan Yixuan…”
As soon as he said that, his friends burst into laughter.
“How many drinks has he had? He’s this drunk already?”
“If Wang Shasha was going to move on, she’d pick a guy, right?”
“Keep your voice down. Don’t want Wei Qi getting mad when he sobers up…”
Dongzi hushed the others and shook his head before advising Wei Qi, “Look, Wei Qi, you’ve never really pursued a girl, so you’re feeling insecure now. Wang Shasha’s probably waiting for your next move. You’ve got to play it cool. If you get scared now, you’ll lose her for sure.”
Wei Qi, dazed and drunk, asked, “Then… what should I do?”
Dongzi gave him some advice, “Just keep calm! Tell her you’re sorry for how you treated her before and that you were wrong. Be sincere. Let her yell or hit you if she needs to. You’ve got to let her get all that resentment out. Otherwise, if she brings it up again later, you’re in for it.”
“And… if she doesn’t forgive me?”
“Then you’ve got to go all in! Tell her you’re leaving to heal—maybe studying abroad or something. Say you don’t know when you’ll be back…”
Before Dongzi could finish, Wei Qi interrupted, “No, I’m not going abroad!”
Dongzi clicked his tongue, “The legs are yours, can’t you just go wherever you want?”
Wei Qi hiccupped again, feeling a bit more sober now, and at least remembered his home phone number. Thinking it wasn’t such a bad idea, he immediately called his father, loudly declaring he wanted to go abroad.
On the other end, his father was shocked to receive a call from his son, who hadn’t spoken to him in ages. With college entrance exams around the corner, what was this about going abroad? He thought Wei Qi was just acting up again.
But dealing with a drunk son, especially with a wife who spoiled him, was a struggle. Between the two pressures, the plan for Wei Qi to go abroad was oddly set in motion.
The next morning, when Wei Qi sobered up and realized what he had done, his eyes widened in shock. But now that he had ‘convinced’ his dad to let him study abroad, going back on his word would probably lead to broken legs.
Wei Qi rubbed his temples and groaned in frustration.
Meanwhile, Wang Sasa was spacing out while Tan Yixuan worked on her homework at her desk.
A boy with a crew cut approached, looking shy as he spoke to Wang Sasa, “Wang Shasha, could you help me with this problem?”
This boy was one of the several who frequently asked her for help. He genuinely didn’t understand the problem but also harbored other feelings for Wang Sasa.
In the past, Tan Yixuan wouldn’t have interfered with Wang Sasa’s friendships, but now she paused, raised her head, and coldly questioned the boy, “Why can’t you ask the class monitor?”
The class monitor was a girl with thick glasses and a single ponytail, who also happened to be the boy’s deskmate. Tan Yixuan’s question immediately made the boy’s cheeks flush. He stammered, “The class monitor is busy… I didn’t want to bother her…”
“So, it’s fine to bother Wang Sasa? Doesn’t she need to study too? You’re all constantly bothering her with these questions, wasting her time,” Tan Yixuan said bluntly.
The boy stared at her, stunned. Wang Sasa’s usually silent deskmate, who had always been like an invisible person, had just spoken with such an aggressive tone—it completely caught him off guard.
The boy looked to Wang Sasa, hoping she would say something.
Wang Sasa didn’t dare get involved. She coughed and turned her head to look out the window, pretending to admire the scenery.
Seeing this, the boy left, dejected.
Tan Yixuan reached over and gently caressed Wang Sasa’s fingers resting on the table, softly asking, “Did I upset you with what I said?”
Wang Sasa shook her head and smiled warmly. “They’re not important people. As long as you’re happy, how could I be upset?”
Since they were in a relationship, Wang Sasa knew that everything should be done with her girlfriend’s feelings in mind. She hadn’t had much experience, but she was confident she could play the role of a good girlfriend.
After thinking for a moment, she placed one arm around Tan Yixuan’s shoulders, propped her chin up with the other, and asked with interest, “Were you… jealous just now?”
Hearing that, Tan Yixuan, who had been calm, suddenly panicked. She took a moment to collect herself before looking up and nervously saying, “I’m sorry if I made you uncomfortable…”
Wang Sasa quickly shook her head and tightened her hold on Tan Yixuan, pulling her into her arms. Since they were of similar height, Tan Yixuan had to bend down slightly, creating an awkward posture.
Wang Sasa, satisfied with her act, rubbed her chin on Tan Yixuan’s head and whispered, “I’m happy that you were jealous. That’s what being in love is all about…” As she spoke, she gently patted Tan Yixuan’s back.
She believed that jealousy was a necessary part of being in a relationship.
Since Tan Yixuan was jealous today, it was only fair that, in the future, she’d have her turn to be jealous of Tan Yixuan.
And as for why she was being so proactive—Wang Sasa saw it this way:
She had researched online and found out that in relationships between two girls, there was typically one who was more active and one who was more passive.
She couldn’t let Tan Yixuan get ahead, especially since she still felt a bit resistant to things like kissing. But if she held the initiative, then everything would be on her terms. With her ten-plus years of reading manga and novels, how could she not win over the delicate little flower that was Tan Yixuan?
Tan Yixuan, being so shy and reserved, surely wouldn’t dare ask for anything too bold. Wang Sasa glanced down at her, feeling even more confident. She had this under control.
It wasn’t uncommon for two girls to be physically close, but the way Wang Sasa and Tan Yixuan were holding each other, like something out of a TV drama, was a little strange.
The classmates from Class 6, Grade 12, had been glancing over at them ever since they started talking. Wang Sasa noticed their stares and shot them a look with her almond-shaped eyes. What are you looking at? Haven’t you ever seen people in love?
At once, everyone who met her gaze quickly looked away, pretending to be absorbed in their own business, not daring to take another peek.
Wang Sasa scanned the room, feeling satisfied.
As class was about to start, Tan Yixuan finally pulled away from her embrace. She frowned slightly, rubbing her sore neck, and gave Wang Sasa a deep look. She couldn’t shake the feeling that Sasa’s behavior toward her had been a bit odd—was it just her imagination?
Wang Sasa looked back at her, and Tan Yixuan smiled in return, the smile slowly reaching her eyes. “Let’s go to class.”
Since Sasa wasn’t stopping her, she figured she’d be a little bolder. Tan Yixuan lowered her long lashes, hiding the glimmer in her eyes. As she thought of something, the corners of her lips curved upward. Though her gaze was fixed on the blackboard, she watched Wang Sasa from the corner of her eye.
She hoped that when her true self was revealed, Sasa would continue to support her, just as she did now.
