The White Lotus Villainess Is Obsessed With Me - Chapter 52
Wang Sasa, at eighteen, had never encountered such a bizarre situation before.
In the past, there had been both men and women who were fervent in their advances, but as soon as they showed any hint of offense, they were immediately criticized by her admirers and never got close to her.
Tan Yixuan was a complete exception.
Initially, it was Tan Yixuan who actively flirted with her.
And now, they were still a couple.
A kiss was the most normal thing between lovers, and there was no need for her to resist, nor was there room for resistance. But Tan Yixuan was behaving strangely.
Her strength was astonishing, holding Wang Sasa’s waist with one hand and pressing her head with the other, leaving no chance for escape. It was more accurate to say she was gnawing at her than kissing.
Wang Sasa felt the pressure on her lips and remained still as Tan Yixuan kissed her, oddly discovering that she didn’t actually dislike Tan Yixuan’s kisses.
When reading comics, she would blush and her heart would race when the protagonists kissed passionately, but once she thought of real-life people, she would feel a revulsion. The idea of humans swapping saliva was utterly unhygienic. She had never tried it and had no desire to.
Now, with Tan Yixuan lying on top of her, surrounded by a moist aura and a refreshing scent of shower gel, she didn’t find it disgusting. In fact, she was tempted to bury her face in the scent. But she was held down and couldn’t move. She unconsciously parted her lips and softly murmured, “Tan Yixuan.”
The soft voice made Tan Yixuan freeze all of a sudden. It was as if she suddenly realized what she was doing. She jolted awake, looking at Wang Sasa with panic and unease. Had she gone too far? Would Sasa really want to break up with her?
Tan Yixuan was both ashamed and frightened. Although she knew she shouldn’t keep Wang Sasa restrained, she was afraid that if she let go, Sasa might run away, so she stubbornly continued to hold onto her wrist.
Wang Sasa sighed lightly, “Let go first…”
Tan Yixuan shook her head, her voice trembling, “I’m sorry, Sasa. Forgive me.”
Wang Sasa sighed again, stepping forward and pulling Tan Yixuan into an embrace. With Tan Yixuan looking surprised, she pressed her against the wall and turned on the hallway light with a snap.
The bright incandescent light made both of them squint after being in the dark for so long.
Wang Sasa adjusted to the light, then let go of her embrace and stepped back. She looked directly at Tan Yixuan, trying to sound casual, “You had to let me turn on the light, didn’t you?”
Tan Yixuan was reluctant to turn on the light because darkness could hide many things, including the darkness within her own heart. With the light on, her ugliness was exposed. How could she let the person she liked see her like this? As she stared at Wang Sasa’s icy expression, guilt, shame, and unwillingness surged through her heart, causing her eyes to redden.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to…” Tan Yixuan said, her eyes red and full of unshed tears, “I saw that man taking you home, and you deliberately lied to me. I thought you didn’t like me anymore…”
Wang Sasa glanced at her hand, which felt as though it was gripped by an iron band, feeling somewhat speechless. “So, you decided to force a kiss on me?”
Upon hearing this, Tan Yixuan’s eyelashes fluttered slightly, and then the tears she had been holding back finally spilled over. Tan Yixuan had a delicate face and was very pale; her skin turned red when she was slightly agitated. At that moment, her tearful face looked surprisingly beautiful.
Looking at Tan Yixuan’s appearance, it was hard to connect her to the person who had just forcefully kissed her. Could Tan Yixuan have two personalities? Wang Sasa thought, finding the speculation quite plausible. After all, Tan Yixuan had always seemed like a pitiful person who was sometimes a bit scheming, but within normal limits.
Wang Sasa didn’t want to continue the standoff with Tan Yixuan. It was already nine when she got home, and standing in the hallway with Tan Yixuan wasn’t ideal. She tried to move her arm to escape Tan Yixuan’s grip, but Tan Yixuan, thinking she wanted to run, tightened her hold.
Wang Sasa couldn’t help but say, “Tan Yixuan, let go.”
Tan Yixuan seemed lost in her own world, shaking her head with a look of pity. She persisted, “Don’t leave me. I was wrong. I won’t treat you like this again…”
Wang Sasa’s patience was wearing thin. She took a sudden step forward, raised her face, and sealed Tan Yixuan’s lips with a kiss.
Tan Yixuan’s words stopped abruptly, and her expression changed from confusion to ecstatic joy. She held onto Wang Sasa’s hand, not noticing when she released it, and loosely embraced her. Even though she hadn’t eaten any sweets, she felt sweetness spreading from her mouth to her heart.
Wang Sasa, always decisive, thought if she didn’t dislike it and Tan Yixuan liked it, why not use it to comfort her? She kept patting Tan Yixuan’s slender back, soothing her, and Tan Yixuan’s tense nerves finally relaxed.
Wang Sasa stepped back and led her to the living room.
Tan Yixuan followed closely behind her like a dutiful wife.
Wang Sasa guided Tan Yixuan to sit on the sofa, then turned to the kitchen to get a glass of water and handed it to her.
Tan Yixuan sat upright on the sofa, drinking water while cautiously glancing at Wang Sasa’s expression, looking extremely obedient.
Wang Sasa sat across from her. Seeing Tan Yixuan silently finish the whole glass of water and sit there helplessly, she cleared her throat and said, “Tan Yixuan, let’s talk.”
Tan Yixuan responded with a soft, almost inaudible “Hmm,” her face flushed and her eyes moist.
Wang Sasa’s voice softened unconsciously. She said kindly, “Tan Yixuan, don’t feel burdened, and don’t apologize to me.” She paused, noticing Tan Yixuan listening seriously, and then sincerely added, “Today, both of us were at fault.”
Seeing Tan Yixuan about to say something, Wang Sasa stopped her by raising her hand, not giving her a chance to speak. “I was wrong to be afraid of you being overly sensitive and to lie to you.” As she spoke, she stood up, knelt in front of the low coffee table, and took Tan Yixuan’s hands in hers. “If I had honestly told you that Zhang Hong was the one who took me home, wouldn’t you have been less upset?”
Tan Yixuan murmured, “I’m sorry…”
Wang Sasa shook her head and continued, “But you were wrong too.” Seeing Tan Yixuan’s face fall instantly, Wang Sasa couldn’t help but pinch her delicate, pale fingers, her tone becoming even gentler, “You were wrong to doubt me.”
She saw Tan Yixuan looking up at her, feeling a bit of sweat forming in her palms. She resisted the urge to look away, smiling as she met Tan Yixuan’s gaze calmly. “Tan Yixuan, how could you think I would like someone else?”
Tan Yixuan grasped her hand back, looking worried, “Because… we’re both girls. Sasa, you don’t like girls, do you?”
Wang Sasa blinked and coughed, saying a straightforward truth, “But I don’t like boys either!”
Tan Yixuan stared at her in disbelief.
Wang Sasa continued, “The moment I woke up, I met you. If you ask me about gender preferences, I hadn’t even considered it before you. Tan Yixuan, I only like you.” She straightened up and leaned over the low coffee table towards her. “Don’t you understand? You are my first love.”
The term “first love” was so beautiful. Tan Yixuan had never dared to hope for it, but just now, Wang Sasa had told her that she was her first love! The feeling was indescribable; it was as if she had been struck by a surprise from the heavens, making her dizzy.
She couldn’t help but murmur, “First love?”
Wang Sasa nodded firmly, her sincerity clear, “Yes, you are my first love, Yixuan.” She moved a bit closer, maintaining her calm smile, “So, have a bit more confidence in yourself, okay?”
Tan Yixuan couldn’t contain the emotions welling up inside her and hugged Wang Sasa tightly. Wang Sasa, having anticipated this, placed one leg on the coffee table and let her entire weight lean on Tan Yixuan to save some effort.
Tan Yixuan held her tightly, affectionately rubbing her cheek, “Me too, Sasa. You’re also my first love.”
Wang Sasa turned her face slightly, placing one hand on Tan Yixuan’s shoulder and gently stroking her face with the other, “I won’t lie to you again in the future, okay?” It was a lie.
Tan Yixuan gave a soft, happy hum, looking at Wang Sasa with undisguised sweetness on her face. Wang Sasa felt a pang of guilt, but considering the hope of going home was so close, she hardened her heart and said, “So, let’s put today’s incident behind us. Let’s make up.”
The tension dissipated. Tan Yixuan wasn’t actually angry with Wang Sasa but was more afraid that she would be upset. When Wang Sasa said she was her first love, Tan Yixuan was overjoyed. Yet, she wasn’t oblivious; just minutes earlier, Sasa had said that all good things must end.
Would couples in love think like this? Tan Yixuan was confused, unable to see Wang Sasa’s true feelings. She could speak affectionate words without hesitation and kiss her without repulsion. But Tan Yixuan felt a sense of fear and unwillingness from Wang Sasa’s composed demeanor, as if she alone had invested genuine feelings and was uncertain.
Tan Yixuan was still not at ease.
Wang Sasa noticed Tan Yixuan’s furrowed brow and raised an eyebrow, “What’s wrong? Do you still have concerns?”
Tan Yixuan hesitated, unsure if bringing up the previous issue would annoy Sasa now that they had just reconciled. She pursed her lips and swallowed her words.
“I trust you,” she finally said, meeting Sasa’s puzzled gaze. But the shadow of doubt still lingered in her eyes.
She wanted to trust her and only hoped she wouldn’t betray her trust.
With the crisis averted, Wang Sasa called Tan Yixuan over casually. She saw a bag of snacks on the coffee table, rummaged through it, and found that Tan Yixuan had thoughtfully bought her favorite snacks. Remembering something, she went to the hallway to bring the snack box inside, cheerfully saying, “Want to see what snacks there are?”
Tan Yixuan’s gaze sharpened immediately, then she feigned nonchalance, “Did Zhang Hong send these?”
Wang Sasa paused her action of unpacking, then explained, “It wasn’t just for me. Everyone got some.”
Tan Yixuan nodded.
Wang Sasa stopped and looked up at her, “If you don’t like them, I won’t open them. Anyway, I’m not planning to eat anything late at night.”
Tan Yixuan hurriedly explained, “I don’t dislike them. I just thought Zhang Hong gave them to you. So… I was a bit concerned. If it’s not just for you, then it’s fine.”
Wang Sasa was reassured, opened the box to see what was inside, and indeed found the snacks were from the company’s brand, as Zhang Hong had said. She casually flipped through them, closed the box, and then went to the bathroom to wash up.
Once Tan Yixuan saw her leave, she turned her gaze coldly to the gift box and then unhesitatingly dumped the snacks into a nearby trash can. She knew Wang Sasa had a habit of stockpiling snacks and sometimes didn’t even know where they were stored.
Tan Yixuan, thinking about this, unknowingly curled her fingers and tapped the glass coffee table with her knuckles, her face expressionless. It wasn’t until Wang Sasa called her from the bathroom that she put on a gentle smile and walked toward her.
Wang Sasa was brushing her teeth and looked at Tan Yixuan, “What are you doing? I’ve called you several times.”
Tan Yixuan glanced at her and asked, “Where am I sleeping tonight?”
Wha—what do you mean where are you sleeping? Didn’t they always sleep together? Why was Tan Yixuan asking this specifically?
Wang Sasa pondered with the toothbrush in her mouth, suddenly feeling a jolt. Could it be what she was thinking? She asked Tan Yixuan to be confident, but not in this regard!
Not disliking kisses didn’t mean her boundaries should keep retreating. But after just speaking so tenderly, now she was asked to sleep separately? Wang Sasa shook her head, dismissing that thought.
Since that was the case, she could only force a smile and say, “Of course, you’ll be sleeping with me.”
Tan Yixuan’s eyes wandered as she thought about something, her face instantly flushing with red. She shyly murmured an “Mm,” causing Wang Sasa’s alarm bells to ring again. Why was she blushing? What was there to blush about?!
