The White Lotus Villainess Is Obsessed With Me - Chapter 60
The bully-no, Wang Sasa patted the back of Tan Yixuan’s hand, dutifully offering, “Do you want me to sing you a lullaby?”
Tan Yixuan stared at her silently for a while, and then gave a soft, almost imperceptible “Hmm.”
Wang Sasa froze for a moment at the response. She had spoken offhandedly and added a touch of teasing, not expecting that Tan Yixuan actually wanted to hear a lullaby.
She took a quick glance at Tan Yixuan and saw her staring intently, with a look that suggested she wouldn’t close her eyes until Wang Sasa started singing. Wang Sasa, feeling helpless, said, “I’m not very good at singing. I’m afraid if I do, you might have even more trouble sleeping.” As she spoke, her gaze darted to the red, flashing countdown clock in the top right corner, causing her to frown.
“How about I tell you a bedtime story instead?” she suggested, feeling troubled. Tan Yixuan’s reluctance to sleep meant Wang Sasa wouldn’t be able to complete her task. And if she didn’t complete it, there would be consequences.
Who knew what those consequences might be? Wang Sasa didn’t want to take any risks.
Tan Yixuan lay back, her dark eyes locked on Wang Sasa’s, not missing a single expression. Seeing Wang Sasa’s distress, she smirked slightly and said softly, “Okay.”
Wang Sasa sighed in relief and then became anxious again. Although she enjoyed reading novels, she didn’t like children’s bedtime stories. After some internal struggle, she decided to come up with a story on the spot.
Clearing her throat, she said, “Have you heard the story of Ultraman vs. Sadako?”
Tan Yixuan found the name odd and her expression was subtle. She shook her head but didn’t interrupt Wang Sasa’s enthusiasm, instead adopting a listening posture.
Wang Sasa pondered, trimming and piecing together the story, adding dramatic elements until she had a sensational blend of horror, supernatural, and fantasy.
“Ultraman and Sadako were once a couple. Later, due to a third party’s interference, Sadako was killed!”
“After Sadako’s death, her powerful grudge attached itself to the TV Ultraman had just bought on sale.”
“One day, Ultraman was watching TV with his new lover. Suddenly, the TV screen flickered with static. Then…” Wang Sasa’s tone remained flat as she wracked her brain to make the story engaging, “then… Sadako crawled out of the TV!” She was scared of horror stories and shivered dramatically at the thought of scary movie scenes.
Tan Yixuan remained silent, watching her intently.
Wang Sasa felt awkward seeing her unresponsive. She touched her nose and suddenly said, “Sadako looks a bit like you, with long hair and a white dress.”
Tan Yixuan raised an eyebrow slightly, a hint of curiosity in her eyes. “So?”
Wang Sasa stumbled over her words, mumbling, “You should go to sleep. I’ll tell you the rest next time.” She glanced at the countdown in the top right corner and was alarmed.
The task had only five minutes left! She was too anxious to focus on telling a story. She quickly placed her hand over Tan Yixuan’s eyes, not allowing her to open them.
In the darkness, her senses became unusually acute.
Tan Yixuan felt the warmth of Wang Sasa’s palm over her eyes, the heat transferring from her hand to her heart. She instinctively smiled, her lashes fluttering rapidly, and opened her mouth to say something, but Wang Sasa interrupted.
Tan Yixuan’s lashes were delicate and dense, brushing against Wang Sasa’s palm, causing a tickling sensation. Wang Sasa tried to suppress the itch and leaned in slightly, whispering, “Don’t move.”
Wang Sasa’s warm breath flowed over Tan Yixuan’s face, carrying the pleasant scent of her perfume. Tan Yixuan remembered how Wang Sasa always wore perfume, and though she had asked several times, she still didn’t recall the name.
Perhaps she could ask again next time. She wasn’t in a hurry since they would be together forever.
Thinking this, a sweet smile appeared on Tan Yixuan’s face. With Wang Sasa’s hand covering her eyes, she could only see her constantly curling lips and was puzzled by Tan Yixuan’s apparent joy.
Wang Sasa hesitated but didn’t remove her hand, her gaze constantly shifting to the countdown. Just as she was growing frantic, the red numbers finally stopped, and the words “Completed” in green appeared on the task.
Relieved, she slightly moved her hand and found that Tan Yixuan had fallen asleep without her noticing.
Maintaining a fixed position was incredibly difficult. Wang Sasa had managed to hold her position for thirty minutes, reaching her limit.
Since the task was completed, Wang Sasa thought it might be okay to move Tan Yixuan. However, to maintain Tan Yixuan’s favor, she cautiously withdrew her hand. But just as she lifted her hand, Tan Yixuan grabbed her wrist. Surprised, Wang Sasa looked down to see Tan Yixuan holding her wrist but still with her eyes closed.
Wang Sasa paused, not daring to pull away, and gently moved her fingers to the side. Tan Yixuan’s hand reached up, seemingly irritated, and pulled her into a tight embrace.
“Don’t disturb me, I’m sleeping,” Tan Yixuan murmured, her soft, warm head resting on Wang Sasa’s shoulder, her breath brushing against Wang Sasa’s face.
Wang Sasa was stiff and unmoving, and after a while, she gradually relaxed and fell into a deep sleep.
Wang Sasa was awakened by the system’s notification sound.
She usually slept well, and after a nap, she was groggy. Rubbing her temples, she squinted at the air and was startled awake. Her body lurched, almost falling off the sofa.
[Timed-Limited Task 2: Cook dinner for Tan Yixuan yourself and receive her sincere praise.]
[Time Limit: 2 hours.]
Wang Sasa was exasperated. Could this broken system be a relative of Tan Yixuan? She wondered why the timed tasks felt so wrong. Was it possible Tan Yixuan would become a great scientist, and her descendants chose her to work on their ancestor’s scientific cause?
As she pondered these thoughts, she looked around and suddenly saw the slender figure by the floor-to-ceiling window.
The moonlight poured through the floor-to-ceiling windows, casting a soft glow on Tan Yixuan’s fair profile.
Her face illuminated by the moonlight had a delicate sheen, making her refined features even more striking. She lifted her hand, her slender fingers resting on the transparent glass. The lack of lighting enveloped the entire room in a deathly, gloomy atmosphere.
Wang Sasa quietly shifted her aching arms, feeling hesitant to disturb Tan Yixuan at this moment. How could an ordinary beautiful high school girl suddenly make her feel so uneasy?
Tan Yixuan noticed Wang Sasa’s gaze and suddenly turned her head, her expression unreadable. Her eyes were as cold as a winter’s snowstorm, sending a shiver down Wang Sasa’s spine. She stammered, “Are you… hungry? I can make you something to eat!”
As soon as she finished speaking, Tan Yixuan’s expression froze for a moment before she seemed to recall something and smiled gently, as if spring had arrived.
“What are you going to do?” Tan Yixuan asked slowly as she walked over gracefully and sat down, casually tilting her head.
Her unpredictable demeanor made Wang Sasa wary. Unfortunately, other than following the system’s prompt, she was unsure how to proceed. She sat up straight, forcing a smile, and asked softly, “What would you like to eat?”
Tan Yixuan noticed Wang Sasa’s sudden seriousness and smiled, “I’m not picky. Just make whatever you like.”
“Just whatever?” Wang Sasa thought, dismayed. It seemed like no requirements, but actually, there were many hidden expectations. She frowned, momentarily forgetting her fear of Tan Yixuan, and looked at her.
Wang Sasa’s cooking skills were average, with her specialty being instant noodles. Boil water, add noodles and eggs, then seasoning. She nervously tugged at her hair, deciding that even if instant noodles were not great, it was better than nothing. She got up and went to the kitchen.
To her surprise, the well-equipped kitchen in the five-star hotel had a bucket of instant noodles. However, she couldn’t find any eggs, which was a disappointment. Time was running out, so she glanced at the countdown and quickly tore open the bucket of noodles.
In less than five minutes, Wang Sasa called Tan Yixuan to the kitchen. She leaned on the counter, nervously watching Tan Yixuan taste the noodles, and eagerly asked, “How is it? Does it taste good?”
Instant noodles don’t exactly have a range of flavors. Tan Yixuan glanced at her but didn’t make things difficult, simply saying, “It’s okay.”
[Timed-Limited task completed. Tan Yixuan’s favorability +10. Current favorability: -15.]
Wang Sasa looked up, her eyes shining at the bright red numbers.
Two timed-limited tasks had resulted in just ten favorability points! Although the total score was a hundred, ten points didn’t seem like much.
But think about it, she had only just crossed over today!
Optimistically, with two timed-limited tasks daily, ten favorability points each time, at this rate, wouldn’t she be able to go home in half a month?
The prospect of going home was in sight. Wang Sasa’s gaze towards Tan Yixuan became incredibly gentle. She took her hand and said softly, “Miss Tan…” Then she hesitated and tested, “Tan Yixuan, may I call you that?”
Tan Yixuan looked at the hand she was holding, her lashes fluttering slightly without responding. Wang Sasa took it as consent. She held Tan Yixuan’s hand firmly and warmly said, “If you can’t sleep, come find me. Or if you want instant noodles, I’ll make them for you!”
As soon as she finished speaking, the system notification sounded.
[Tan Yixuan’s favorability +15. Current favorability: 0.]
After a while, Tan Yixuan finally responded with a soft “Mm.”
Wang Sasa’s gaze softened as she looked at Tan Yixuan, feeling confident that winning Tan Yixuan’s favorability in a week wouldn’t be too difficult!
The next day, they went to school together. The students at Second High School were stunned to see Wang Sasa, the new transfer student, getting out of the boss’s car. When did the new student become so close to the boss? Even Tan Yixuan’s closest juniors didn’t receive such treatment!
Wang Sasa stepped out of the car, looking around. She was surprised to see the large crowd and raised an eyebrow. She hadn’t expected Tan Yixuan to be so popular. She watched Tan Yixuan’s back and hurriedly adjusted her skirt to catch up.
Ji Yiran squeezed through the crowd, her eyes constantly darting toward the slender figure entering the campus, filled with worry.
The crowd cheered and jostled. Ji Yiran was suddenly shoved and fell, blocking Wang Sasa’s path.
Startled, Wang Sasa stepped back, looked at the fallen girl, and extended her hand. “Are you okay?”
Ji Yiran smiled gratefully, taking her hand to stand up. “Sasa, where did you go yesterday?”
Wang Sasa was surprised to find a familiar face among the people she was helping, blinking in disbelief.
A burning gaze suddenly shot from afar, almost tangible in its intensity, making her feel like she was being scorched. She looked up to see Tan Yixuan’s stern face, staring intently at her.
To be precise, she was glaring at the hand Wang Sasa was holding with the unfamiliar girl.
Wang Sasa instinctively released Ji Yiran’s hand. Ji Yiran’s smile froze, and she looked hurt. “Sasa, what’s wrong?”
Can you believe it was a reflex? Wang Sasa was speechless.

Tan Yixuan: Let you be happy for a bit first.
Wang Sasa (overconfident): Too easy! No challenge at all!
