Three Thousand Worlds (GL) - Chapter 2
“Elder Sister…”
Tian Yue’s eyes snapped open. Her head was splitting. This feeling was both strange and familiar—it was the feeling she only had a thousand years ago, after she lost Guo’er and spent days drinking the Peach Blossom Brew her sister had personally made. The feeling of being alive…
I’m actually still alive?
“Elder Sister, no… Wuwuwu…”
Another soft whimper completely broke Tian Yue’s train of thought. She turned her head to see a girl, no more than seventeen or eighteen, curled up in bed, clutching the quilt. She was sobbing softly as if having a nightmare, her brow tightly furrowed, with a few glistening tears hanging precariously from the corners of her eyes.
Pitiable and lovely.
An inexplicable sense of familiarity drew her closer to the young girl. She gently brushed aside a few strands of messy red hair scattered across the girl’s face, revealing the unsuitably vibrant makeup that was already smudged with tears.
Tian Yue frowned. Enduring the headache, she pondered for a moment and finally recalled her current identity: Her Highness Nora, the most beloved youngest daughter of the Queen and Queen Consort of the Stuart Kingdom, and the ninth heir in line to the Imperial throne.
A high-born female Alpha?
Body possession? Rebirth?
So be it. When in Rome, do as the Romans do. As long as she could be with Guo’er, she couldn’t ask for anything more.
She swept away the reddish-brown wig covering the girl’s head, revealing the naturally soft, smooth, but now slightly messy platinum blonde hair. She gently pressed a kiss onto the girl’s eyelid and softly coaxed, “Guo’er, don’t be afraid. It’s Elder Sister…”
The girl flinched in her sleep but smoothed her brows, hugged the soft quilt tighter, and sank back into slumber.
She opened her optical computer, which, as expected, immediately displayed countless messages. Ding—a message from Her Majesty the Queen herself: Nora, get your butt to the conference room once you’re awake!
Tian Yue turned off the optical computer, quickly cleaned up in the bathroom, changed into a crisp Air Force uniform, and then went back to the bedside to place a kiss on the girl’s forehead before leaving.
“Nora, you disappoint me greatly!”
The moment she stepped through the door, she was greeted by a female Omega with stunning reddish-brown hair. This Omega was about to use all her strength to slap Nora, but Tian Yue was not the original Princess Nora, that foolish Alpha who had misplaced her affections. She grabbed the woman’s wrist, flung her hand away, and pushed her into the arms of the male Alpha who had rushed up behind her to intervene.
“Nora, you should be gentler with an Omega…” Prince Daniel, the first heir to the Empire’s throne, known for his gentle and humble nature, softly chastised her while gently massaging his fiancée Helen’s wrist.
“Nora, you…” Helen leaned on Daniel, her face full of an expression of hurt, as if she couldn’t believe Nora would treat her this way.
Tian Yue ignored her, simply bowing to the Queen and saying, “Mother, last night I…”
Her Majesty the Queen, who had witnessed the entire scene, frowned and cut off her daughter’s words, stating unequivocally, “Nora, you are no longer young. It is time for you to marry.”
“Yes, Mother.”
Seemingly not expecting her daughter to be so obedient, the Queen swallowed the numerous drafts of advice she had prepared and nodded, “Since that is the case, you must treat Olivia well. After all, she just… just reached adulthood. She is still young…”
“Rest assured, Mother. I will treat her well, cherish her, and love her.” Tian Yue promised, feeling a slight impatience in her heart. I will naturally cherish my Guo’er properly.
“If Mother has no further business, your daughter will take her leave. Ollie still needs her daughter’s companionship.”
An Omega’s heat cycle lasts for three days. Last night was Olivia’s first heat, and yet her own young daughter had…
Thinking of this, the Queen nodded and instructed, “Go. Remember to be… gentle.” Even though she deeply pitied the young girl who had just come of age only to be thoroughly consumed by her daughter—who was not known for her gentleness—the Queen found it difficult to say anything more.
Tian Yue nodded and left the conference room, never sparing another glance for her future sister-in-law, Helen.
Everything proceeded with unexpected ease, which surprised Helen. The fiancée of the newly established Imperial Crown Prince couldn’t quite put her finger on her feeling. Instead of the sense of calm after a decision is settled, she felt hollow.
“Daniel, personally invite General Mondell to the palace to discuss the marriage between Nora and Ollie,” the Queen commanded.
“Yes, Mother.” Prince Daniel tugged on his still-stunned fiancée’s skirt, and they both bowed and withdrew.
The Queen rubbed her temples, watching the back of General Mondell’s eldest daughter. She felt a terrible headache and couldn’t understand what was so appealing about this girl that she had captivated her two most beloved children, driving them mad with desire.
Fortunately, Nora seemed to have grown up a lot overnight and become more sensible.
Perhaps Olivia, that adorable little girl, had truly pleased her youngest daughter after one night.
After all, she was truly a beautiful, innocent, and good child who made people want to cherish her…
